Confessions of a Reformed Tom Cat: A Reformed Bad Boy Small Town Romance (Wingmen Book 2) Kindle Edition

4.2 out of 5 stars 2,120 ratings

A Romantic Comedy Bestseller
Confessions of a Reformed Tom Cat is a standalone, lighthearted small town romance.
I, Thomas Clifford Donnely, am a manwhore. You can call me Tom Cat. I've been told I'm irresistible to women. Like catnip for a different kind of pussy-cat. This is the story about how I lost my wingman, broke all my own rules, and found myself falling in love. When my sister's best friend returns to Whidbey Island and propositions me for a one-night stand, I break one of my biggest rules--no fooling around with my sisters' friends. It's just sex, nothing more. That's what I do and do very well. Hailey King is more than a match for Tom's flirtations. She's known him most of her life and has heard the rumors about his "skills" for years. When her perfectly planned future falls apart, will the last man she should ever fall for turn out to be more than a one-night stand? What happens when "just sex" isn't enough? Confessions of a Reformed Tom Cat is a best friend's brother romance and the second book in the Wingmen world of standalone lighthearted, small town romances.

We met Tom in Daisy Prescott's book Ready To Fall (best friend of the very delicious John Day)! I love Tom's story. It's the perfect blend of all the right ingredients for a romantic comedy. Hilariously funny moments (hot tubs and New Year's Day hangover cures had me doubled up), great chemistry between Tom and Hailey, and just the right amount of poignant scenes too. Great characters, beautiful descriptions of the area, well written. Best of all, a hero and heroine who you can't help but love. It's an absolute pleasure watching Tom reform. Beautifully done!

This is the first I have read of this authors and I truly loved it. I loved the way it was written, the pace the story set and the emotions I felt. This is exactly the type of read I love, a bit of playing hard to get, a strong macho man and an equally strong willed woman! Add to that a great family and a bit of sorrow, loss, birth and a few ex's and it all makes for a fantastic read. I think Daisy will be added to my favourite author list

I wasn't really that impressed with this even though other people raved about it, maybe it because I love a bit of drama and this book didn't really have any.

He is the proverbial one night stand guy until Hailey, his sisters best friend tells him she would like that one night. They are good together and gradually he goes from the odd hook up to wanting to see more of her. Nice build up.

The story of Tom "Tom Cat" to everyone else for very good reasons, and Hailey or "Idaho" as he knew her from childhood. She has changed from tomboy to a beautiful artistic woman and they have a lot in common with each other. What he doesn't know is that she always had a thing for him. Laughs and tears in this story as we go though a year, starting when she comes crashing back into his life.

Tom was easily a rogue who liked a good time with the ladies. Hailey was a friend of his sisters. They used to rib each other until Hailey wanted to find out if Tom's reputation with the ladies was all true. She found out alright only for Tom to ensure they were only friends.
Took awhile for Tom to see what he was missing and what he could have. He chose wisely

    Loved reading it.
The interaction between all the characters was hilarious. Didn't have much hopes from it but turned out to be such a surprise. The characters seemed so real and not superfluous at all.

Clever story, clever title, reminded of Drew in the Tangled series, much the same dialogue. Hailey can do it with the boys, it's like Tomboy meets Tomcat. When you fall you fall hard. Even though Hailey is younger & his sisters friend they manage a good game of cat & mouse. Oh yeah hot sex too.

I enjoyed it & had a good laugh along the way.

I absolutely loved this book and the male POV in which it was written in. There's nothing better than reading a fun, sexy story and knowing the author nails the male voice so well, there's no question who's telling the story.
Tom is a lovable hero and even though he has his share of short-comings in the relationship department, I was pulling for him every step of the way. Hailey is the kind of heroine I adore; smart, beautiful can hold her own with any man and has unwavering self-respect. The family and friends who surround this story are more than secondary characters. They share advice, humor and heart to the people they care about. This story is sexy-hot, laugh out loud funny, a little bittersweet and an all around great read.

    On a personal note:
I loved the mention of my favorite NFL team and I'll never think about jumping jacks in the same way again.

I highly recommend this well-written book and look forward to more from this author
