    This is another great story from this author of whom I am never let down and I want to do justice for this review without giving much away. Suffice to say I was drawn to this book of Ford and Ava and the rollercoaster ride I was taken on. Just about the time I thought things were going one way I was taken in a whole other direction. This sexy fun story took me through all kinds of emotions.

    Hula Girl is a definite must read for everyone who loves steam, romance and one heck of a ride!!

    “My gorgeous stranger soon mounts his board and rides a glassine wave with ease, though. He navigates the rocky shoreline as if by instinct, dropping off the board before he gets too close to danger. I spend the next twenty minutes transfixed by his grace in the water, enjoying what appears to be his natural talent for surfing.
    But then he looks up and spots me. He’s straddling his board, in a lull between waves. I can see his grin even from this distance, and I’m mortified to have been caught watching him. He, however, seems amused as he raises a hand and flashes the hang loose sign.
    I finally turn away, wondering what I was doing staring at this surfer boy.”

    Hula Girl by Lara Ward Cosio was such a fun book to read. I love the ‘Rogue’ series, but this is a little bit different, and I wasn’t sure I was going to like it as much as the previous books- but HOW WRONG I was. This has turned out to be my favourite read of hers, ever!!!! (well so far, anyway)
    It was a little slow to get going, for me- but not too far in the pace picked up and things started to get very interesting. I ended up staying up well past bedtime, just so I could finish the story and know how it all played out. I really needed to know if Surfer Boy gets his Hula Girl!
    The story is a sweet vacation fling with a bit of a twist- it is flirty, fun, and romantic- with just enough drama and angst to keep things interesting. The chemistry between Ava and Ford was enough to steam up the screen on my kindle- and made for some sizzling reading. It is set against the picturesque backdrop of Hawaii, as well as the taking us to the concrete jungle of LA.
    I loved Ford and Ava and I was rooting for them right from the moment they laid eyes on one- another. They really were so perfect for each other, even though them seemed such opposites to begin with. I loved their story- and Hula Girl will be hard to beat. So now I am looking forward to seeing what Ms. Ward Cosio comes up with next, just to see if she can top this!

    I loved 'Hula Girl' so so much! It was a wonderful mix of sexy, heartfelt and loads of fun. I immediately loved Ava and the way she spoke. When we first meet her she's stuck in a tropical paradise and hating every minute. Her narrative was quirky and had me giggling. I liked that she loved her job and was independent and worked damn hard, she had a great work ethic and stuck by what she believed in. But I had to agree with her boss and did think she deserved a break and I hoped that she would start enjoying her forced holiday.

    And, how can she not enjoy it when she suddenly bumps into Ford?

    Ava's chemistry with Ford was hot, hot, hot and I just loved the two of them together. The banter between them was so easy flowing and natural and I really just felt like they had to be together. Even when they were simply having a good time, there was something special about their bond that was swoon worthy. Lara did such a fantastic job of making us feel that connection with them during their holiday fling and them only having known each other a few days. Furthermore, there time spent in Maui will have you day dreaming of sandy beaches, cocktails and beach huts and therefore I highly recommend getting a copy of this book if you need a bit of escapism right now.

    I was fully captivated in finding out how they were going to make their relationship work and one of the main reasons I absolutely loved this book was that Ava stood her ground and wasn't a pushover when it came to just packing up her things and leaving her life behind to go and be with Ford. She made it very clear to him what she wanted and didn't back down. They were both very stubborn and I think Lara, again, did an amazing job at making you feel like 'well actually how can this work when they both don't want to move and leave their homes behind?'. It wasn't an easy fix. Moreover, I liked that even in the end it was about compromise and not just one way or the other.

    You certainly feel like you are on a ride with Ava and Ford, their antics and adventures are exciting and fun to be a part of, some will have you laughing out loud and others will get you a little hot under the collar.

    The story Hula Girl by Lara Ward Cosio is a new adult/romance book. It pulled me in from the very beginning and didn’t let me go until I finished the final page. I loved reading about the characters of Ava and Ford. Ava is a woman who works hard at her job. She is not one for vacations and relationships seem to not work out. She finds herself forced into a vacation and that it is there that she meets Ford. Ford is a man who has decisions that he must make. He has taken time off and loves to wake up and go surfing. Then he meets Ava. There is an attraction, connection, and a pull toward each other. They are comfortable talking to each other which surprises Ava. It was only to be a vacation romance. When she returns to work there is a surprise reunion and Ava finds herself talked into a fake engagement. Ava believes that even though they have feelings for each other their relationship will never work. Can Ford change her mind? What does the future hold for Ford and Ava? Read this book to find out. This is a story that had my emotions going up and down. I grew to care about Ford and Ava with each chapter that I read. I wanted them to find happiness. I also enjoyed reading about the other characters introduced. Some of them are friends and family and are helpful to Ford and Ava. Others have their own agenda and plans. This is a book whose storyline, characters, and dialogue many times had me with a smile on my face. Don’t miss out on an amazing romance story. I highly recommend reading it.
