AUTUMN

Sure, watching a baby come shooting through a narrow opening isn’t everybody’s cup of iced white chocolate mocha. But for me? It’s a dream come true.

Becoming a midwife has always been the goal. I've been through every up and down imaginable, but with only three years left, I’ll be damned if I let anything or anyone stand in my way.

I wasn’t prepared for Dr. Thorne Mayson.

He’s the top obstetrician in the state with a reputation to match. He’s handsome and cocky, and not at all what I was expecting.

He holds the power to ruin me, but just how much am I willing to risk to win it all?

DR. THORNE MAYSON

They all told me the stories, and I didn’t believe it until I watched each of my cousins get taken down by the BOOM!.

One after another, they dropped like flies, falling in love, and finding their forever. That wasn’t going to happen to me.

I’m at the top of my game. I’m the most sought after obstetrician in Nashville. I have too much going on, too much to focus on. I thought I had it all … until Autumn.

Until Autumn is part of Aurora Rose Reynolds's Happily Ever Alpha World. If you loved Until November, then you will want to read Until Autumn.

Formerly 4 star review now 5 star review. The author has went back and corrected the inconsistencies in the story. Kuddos to her for listening and handling it like the pro she obviously is.

When you are writing in the ARR world and tasked with taking on the Mayson’s it’s important that the author does their research on any of the other Mayson characters in order to be accurate.

I really loved Thorne and Autumn’s characters. This book would have been a 5 star for me however there are inconsistencies with other Mayson characters that I just can’t ignore. If you don’t look outside of Autumn and Thorne’s story line you will understand how amazing their story alone is and agree that they are a 5 star couple.

As a long time ARR fan who has read all her books multiple times I knew that the author was wrong about Sage and Nalia’s history with the Mayson’s. In this book the author has a scene where Nalia and Sage were born to their birth mother Sharon; Nico and Sophie were there at birth as the adoptive parents. That’s not the case. They were adopted by them when they were 2 years old after Sharon had left them alone for days and the cops were called.

To the average reader this won’t be a bother to them and they will fly through this book without anything bothering them and love it. I however was reminded each time Nico and Sophie was mentioned in this book that their story isn’t portrayed accurately and it just nagged at me. Sage’s story isn’t portrayed accurately either seeing as his relationship with Nalia and his birth mother is a good part of the drama in his book.

This is my first book from Sheridan Anne that I’ve read. I enjoyed the style of writing and the development of Thorne and Autumn.

Ok

The plot was good. The top obstetrician in the state. She is a nurse training to be a midwife. But the delivery was just blah.

3 Thorne and Autumn Stars

The spin off from the Until Series continues and lots of authors are contributing to the Happily Alpha world. I did enjoy this contribution from Sheridan Anne but it's not a book I would read again. Autumn and Thorne's story was super dramatic in places , which I normally love , but something didn't quite click for me. There were good secondary characters and the pace of the story was well done. Workplace romance between a student midwife and an Obstetric Consultant. (I think this is maybe what I found hard to get my head round). Dr Thorne Mayson is cousin to Asher and his brothers (Until November.

While I haven’t read many of the Happily Ever Alpha series stories, I love ARR’s BOOM books- love stories about the undeniable spark that jolts your heart when you find your perfect match. And, Sheridan really nailed the BOOM essence in Until Autumn. Sheridan Anne isn’t known for her sweet and feel good romances- but she clearly should be giving us more! Until Autumn is a charming quick, feel good, heartfelt read.

Autumn and Thorne met when she reports for her first day at the renowned Nashville hospital for her midwifery training. Let’s just say Autumn’s training starts with an unexpected BANG- and it does not bode well for her relationship with her new boss Thorne. Only there isn’t just a bang- there is the BOOM, the boom Thorned didn’t believe in until Autumn. Of course, he tries his best to be a big jerk to her, but he can’t deny the pull, even if there is now a professional boundary that could be a barrier.

I love Autumn- she’s funny, sassy, focused, and driven. She’s just an incredibly endearing heroine. Thorne is delicious- a medical powerhouse, sexy, and under his initial bark he’s super swoony. Together they have a sweet and sexy chemistry, and they fall pretty fast into each other- thank you Sheridan for not drawing it out! Since this is a standalone and quick read, it was nice to have some time to explore these two together and their charming relationship dynamics.

Laughs and swoons, lower drama and nothing too complicated- just what I need in a feel good story!

This book has me laughing from the start. This book was energetic, funny, sexy and kept me hooked from the start. Autumn was such a funny sarcastic character, she reminded me of a sitcom character. I loved how she was so determined to become a midwife and wasn't going to let anyone stop her. The book started off with a bang and I did not expect to see November and Asher show up but it was a good way to connect the books into the world. Throne was a sexy, hard-headed doctor that I just wish was real. The way he was with Autumn and they're whole relationship was really cute and he is defiantly a Mason! I really enjoyed the overall story and the last few chapters kept me gripped the most! I didn't know what was going to happen. Overall, I really enjoyed this book and I am excited to read more in the Happily Ever Alpha World.

4 Stars!

Until Autumn is the newest book in the Happily Ever Alpha World created by Aurora Rose Reynolds and y'all, I really.. really liked this one. An easy romance that was packed with all of the feels and had me devouring this beauty whole.

In the newest release to this world by Sheridan Anne, we are introduced to Dr. Thorne Mayson and Autumn. And from the moment their lives collide in a deep, personal, unforgettable way.. there will be no turning back. Once the BOOM 💥 happens, as they say the rest is history (and this Mayson is no different!) and the journey there? Sexy, swoony, and sweet in the most unputdownable ways.

Sheridan Anne is brand new to me author and that is one thing I really love about this world that ARR has created. I've met so many new authors that are crazy talented and Sheridan Anne just made that list. What a journey she created.

I can totally recommend this book.

I have been enjoying the extended Until world and Until Autumn was a fabulous addition. Sheridan Anne delivers her own story while managing to give us a similar feel to Reynolds’ work. It took me a little bit to throw myself back in time with this one as it’s a story that takes place in the original timeline with Thorne being cousin to Asher, Trevor, Cash, and Nico. Once I was able to get back there in my head, I was completely lost in the story. Thorne and Autumn have that instant attraction, they don’t call it the Mayson BOOM for nothing! The connection they shared was palpable and I was eager to see where things would go between them. In addition to the relationship, I appreciated the capable and strong characters and the humor woven throughout. This was my first book by this author but it won’t be my last, I really enjoyed her writing style and storytelling. I’ll definitely be checking out her other work. Can’t wait to see what’s next in this world!!

I was pulled right into this story. This is a standalone in the Happily Ever Alpha World brought to you by Aurora Rose Reynolds. The story has suspense, secrets, and heartbreak.

This is Autumn and Thorne’s story. Autumn is trying to become a midwife. But her first day in a new hospital she is getting into trouble. Her boss Thorne is the best at what he does and she knows that if she can learn under him she will be at the top of her game. What starts out a wanting each other turns into the BOOM. Will they be able to handle all that comes with the BOOM?

I loved these characters and the side characters. I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I recommend this book.

Well if you were expecting a slight BOOM with Until Autumn you will be pleasantly surprised with the ground shaking BOOM you actually get. Thorne and Autumn’s story is as good as the stories from the original Until series that all stole our hearts. Thorne and Autumn bring us witty banter, hilarious moments, drama, romance, steam and action. Their story will make you smile, laugh, swoon and will have you on the edge of your seat. It is a story that will have you captivated by the spark, embracing the love and holding your breath as drama unfolds. These two characters will grab your heart and hold tight to it until the very end and maybe even longer.

The Boom!

I loved the beginning, the middle ok and then the end just ehh! Loved November and all the other Characters from previous books. The family atmosphere was amazing and then just nothing. It felt blah. So much potential but just felt flat.

Autumn and Thorne's story was so good from the first page till the last one. They had such great chemistry and intense attraction. And I'm glad that they don't complicate things but it's because of external factors. I loved that they protect their relationship and love so tight. For a first time reader of the author, I know this would not be my last.

Until Autumn is the newest book the Happily Ever After series by Aurora Rose Reynolds. A sweet contemporary romance that will give you all the feels.
Autumn is a passionate, eager student who is excited to start her first shift training to become a midwife and for Autumn it is a shift she will never forget. As soon as she walks into the hospital for her first shift she is thrown into the deep end as she ends up having to deliver a baby while stuck in the elevator with the best obstetrician in the state on the phone. Unbeknownst to her said doctor is family to the couple she is helping give birth and will be interning with. This is not the first impression she was wanting to make for her first day.
Dr Thorne Mayson is a workaholic, the best obstetrician in the state and his first impression of Autumn is not a good one. Her first day on the job and she has already broke hospital rules but as soon as he lays eyes on her…. BOOM. Now he must try to figure out how he to juggle his feelings for Autumn and keep things professional in the workplace because once you feel the BOOM there is no going back.
I received a copy for my honest review.

This is a great workplace-BOOM with lots of November, Asher, Nico, Sophie and the rest of the Mayson-clan.

Thorne is a workaholic and grump. Autumn is a enthusiastic student. He sees her and just knows she is hus BOOM, but he tries to deny it since she is HIS student... but you can't fight the BOOM.

The drama/action-part was almost unnecessary because the relationship itself was so great.

Loved this book hard! Autumn and Thorne have the best banter right from the start! They are both smarta** and even though Thorne is her supervisor Autumn knows how to put him in his place. She is a ball buster and so fun to read. This is an insta lust turn love so you can’t help but fall in love with it right from the start. This isn’t like what Sheridan usually writes but it always fun to read a light, fun and sweet romance among the dark and dirty stories

And *BOOM* another Mayson down 😊

Autumn was starting her first day training to be a midwife and she was super excited. Until she walked into the ER and had to help a lady give birth in an elevator. And unbeknown to her the women was family of the Dr that she was going to be interning with. Well needless to say she did not make a good impression by breaking hospital rules. But when she met the Dr Thorne Mayson… instant attraction 😊

Thorne Mayson couldn’t believe that the intern broke hospital rules and now she was on his sh*t list and he was going to make her work. But the moment he looked into her eyes… *BOOM* lol… Now he has to find a way to be with the women of his dreams and to keep things professional.

Loved this story. It was definitely a good addition to the Happily Ever Alpha World. I finished it in one go. And even though there was lots of romance, there was drama, and some suspense thrown in and a bit of action. So it was definitely a good afternoon read 😊 ♥

If you need a short and sweet quick read then this one is a winner! Sheridan could write the phone book and I’ll be living for it without needing any details.
It’s always a good thing to hit the reset button with a nice contemporary romance after reading all the bully/enemies books there is.
I’m not going to lie, I’ll be looking at getting a male doctor if they were to look exactly like Dr. Thorne Mayson. Like hot damn Autumn is damn lucky he is just a character in a book cause he will be my next book boyfriend. Real or not. I’m just going to go jump in a cold shower, while I cool down you all should pick up this book and read it.

Sheridan Anne nailed it with Until Autumn. This is my favorite book so far in the Happily Ever Alpha World and the icing on the cake, I was reunited with November and Asher, the first couple in the Until series. The 'Boom' started with them, and there is no other couple more deserving than getting their very own 'Boom' than Autunm and Thorne.

Workaholic Dr. Thorne Mayson, didn't believe his cousins when they talked about the 'Boom', but as soon as he comes face to face with student Midwife Autumn the explosion happens, it doesn't matter that Thorne is Atunmns boss, when the 'Boom' strikes, it strikes for life. Autumn's first day didn't go as planned, delivering a baby in an elevator and when those life doors open and she comes to face with Dr. Mayson well the heat is on. It wouldn't be a great 'Until' story without a few bumps along the way. But it was worth it for a truly great read!

Thank you, Sheridan Anne, now to start the Until series again.

Autumn wants to become a midwife, but on her first day she gets stuck in the elevator with a woman ready to give birth. Her coworkers' first impression on her, especially when she finds out that the woman she helped is a relative of Dr. Thorne, the best obstetrician in Nashville.

I've read many of Sheridan's books, and this is was a nice change of pace. It's a light romance, with funny situations, and a stubborn FMC.

I was kindly provided with an ARC by the author, but I'm leaving a voluntary and honest review.

This is a sweet, quick read that melted my heart. Autumn is working under the prestigious Dr. Thorne Mason and wow he is a real jerk. He is everything to be expected from the top OB in the state with the ego to match. When he meets Autumn he knows he's in trouble and the chemistry between the two is undeniable. I am always a fan of watching a jerk of a hero fall in love to change his ways. This is definitely one of those light reads to brighten your day.

I wish that Goodreads allowed half a star ratings because this one was a solid 3.5 star for me, but here we are. I liked this one more than the other books in this series, which is saying something because there have been some brutal ones.

I tend to be a little harder on the "Happily Ever Alpha" series since the "Until" series is one of my top 10 series to reread. People either butcher the original Mayson characters or the story is just dumb (for lack of a better word). But this one had so much potential, then little things started to bug me.

It's a pretty simple story: Autumn is a midwife student and comes to a hospital in Nashville to study under Dr. Thorne Mayson. It's got a cool beginning with action in the ER. With crisis all around, she approaches a woman in labour, who is surprisingly November Mayson about to deliver her 4th baby (and we all know she ends up with 5 awesome girls). Fast forward to Autumn trying to help November and Asher and they get stuck in an elevator and she helps bring baby June into the world. On the phone assisting is cousin to the Mayson's, Dr. Thorne. As soon as they are all safe and off the elevator, Doc is ready to lay into Autumn, and BOOM. Cute so far...

However, he acts like a douche to Autumn after this (even while secretly lusting after her), but she refuses to give up. He is mean to her, but keeps her close so no one else can have her. And throw in a petty and grouchy head nurse and a different pervy married Doctor, they end up with their happily ever after - eventually.

Here's what I liked:
- the author brought in the Mayson family and didn't try to change their personalities. They acted exactly how we have come to love the Maysons.
- She seemed to have a "father figure" with her neighbor, since she seems to have no one but her bestie KC. Although, it was sad that he was brought in at the beginning of the story, but never mentioned again. Also, I wanted to see if her ex ever paid back the money he took from her, especially since they made such a big deal about it.

Here's what bugged me:
- timelines were an issue. She mentioned her ex buying a PS5 with her money, but Nov and Asher are only on kid #4. We all know the Mayson kids are grown now, so this threw me off.
- Her constant swearing like a sailor in the maternity wing while working. Unprofessional.
- How she kept getting in trouble for things that weren't her fault. Just annoying.
- Realism was a problem. Sorry, but a midwife student wouldn't be standing in for an ER nurse for a surgery on a broken arm. Nor would a ob-gyn be doing the arm surgery. Too much red tape.
- Wish the author used a different name other than Autumn. Reminded me of Aurora Rose Reynolds book, Assumption, about the nurse named Autumn who marries a Mayson as well.
- Thorne is not really an alpha. He was just an a-hole a lot of the time and women thought he was hot and rich. That doesn't make someone an Alpha. They actually have to have some sweet part of him to keep any interest.

I will say that the ending was very "Grey's Anatomy". A gunman barging in on the Doc doing an emergency c-section for the lady being abused by her husband and Autumn having to step in when everyone is either shot or stabbed. I actually gasped at this scene, it was well written.

So the story was good, but was either plagued by reality issues or pointless scenes. Good read when you need something you can easily put down and come back to later.

I got an ARC of Until Autumn and like any romance novel fanatic I was very excited for this Grey's Anatomy esque book. When I started this book I thought it would be like all of the other books within the Happily Ever Alpha World timeline and it would take place around the time of the Until Him/Her series but as soon as I started reading I quickly realized that this book actually takes place around the Until Series with their parents and them as children. So this book starts off with November and Asher having their fourth child, and the male protagonist, Thorne, is Asher's cousin. When I started reading Until Autumn I think I had it finished within two hours, I couldn't put it down.
Until Autumn opens with nurse Autumn reporting for her first day at the most prestigious hospital in Nashville for her of midwifery training. As soon as she walks in the door she see a woman in labor and offers to help her and her husband up to the maternity ward. The bad news... they get trapped in an elevator and Autumn has to deliver the baby, the worse news... she's delivering her boss's cousin's child and he did not appreciate her breaking hospital policy in the process. While everything went fine and no one was hurt Autumn definitely ended her first day on a bad note.
When Dr. Thorne Mason sees the idiot midwife trainee that put his cousin and their child in danger he is struck speechless. As all of his cousin's have paired off with their wives they've all told him that when he meets the one he'll feel the boom and Thorne always chalked that up to being a bunch of bullshit, that his cousin's just got lucky when finding their wives. But when he sees Autumn he has this feeling that she's the one for him, so when finally finds his voice he seemingly rewards her for breaking the rules by putting her on his service. Sheridan Anne thank you for another love story that will hit you in the feels!!

This was the perfect break between stories and a change up that I LOVE!!

Who knew the world of the OB doctors and mid wives could be so comical?!? I mean they are literally up to their elbows al day most days! But they find a passion in what they do and they strive to be the best in the business.

Dr. Thorne Mayson is a bit of a douche canoe, but he is one of the heads of OB and everyone either wants to learn under him or with him. Autumn's first day was one of the head slap days she was rushing and trying not to be late but she runs into a couple in the ER and stops to help the expecting couple. She ushers November in her husband into the elevator and as they are on the way up to OB floor 4 the power goes out leaving them trapped. November is in full blown labor and Autumn has to birth the baby over the phone with Dr. Mayson. Once the power is back on he waits for them to make it and he's ready to tear into the new girl. But once she steps off the elevator he is mesmerized.

Dr. Mayson is the best teacher and Autumn learns some good lessons working underneath him. But neither can fight their chemistry and FINALLY decide to make a go of it. Everything seems to be going great as they both leave business business until one of the heads of the midwives spills their relationship around the floor and then Autumn is attacked! JUST WHOA!

If you are looking for that book that will keep you all warm and fuzzy this is your book! It is sweet and special and what all girls hope love will be like when they grow up.

Thank you again for another beautiful love story Sheridan Anne!!

This book was probably the best book I have read in this Until World. For most of the book it really feels like it was written by Aurora Rose Reynolds with the whole BOOM thing and finding a deep love. It had all the sighs and sweetness of her stories. And then it explodes and turned it into this huge nail biter suspense story and I actually went back and re-read scenes because they were just so awesome I wanted to read them over again. I actually can imagine it playing out on Grey's Anatomy it was a huge plot twist.

Something also to keep in mind this is a story that happens in the past. In the hospital where Autumn and Thorne works we meet November and Ash where they deliver their 4th daughter, and we also meet Sophia and Nico when they deliver their twins. So this story takes place when the kids are still young.

Thorne is connected as their cousin, the doctor. He meets a new midwife student of his, Autumn when she shows up for her first day and its a pretty amazing 1st day in training for her. He is a jerk the first day and then they really hit it off. I would call it a work relationship that turns into friendship and dating. While he is technically her teacher, he never treats her like his student and they never hide their relationship. I kinda liked that its all out in the open but they both deal with the issue like adults and really talk about things. I also loved how they back each other up.

This story was full of romance and BOOM and love. Its filled with Mayson's and I loved seeing their younger years, when they are married and having kids and living their lives. It also had controversy and drama and nail biting will they survive suspense.

I received a free ARC copy of this book from the author prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This really was a breath of fresh air. A book I wasn’t expecting but one that I needed. A refreshing change of pace from the dark stuff.
It doesn’t get better than this. Its light while being somewhat intense , sweet but a bit suspenseful. Keeping you on your toes and hanging on to every word with every passing page. This book made you feel like you were wrapped in a warm hug. It has this special magical air around it, that will make your head spin (in a good way)
Medical romances are some of my favorite things to read. I adored the characters. Autumn and Throne their work is so important to them, they are smart, funny and deep characters, with a whole lot of personality.
When Autumn arrives for her first shift of her midwife training she unexpectedly is tasked to help deliver a baby in the middle of an elevator. With no one to assist her accept her teacher and fellow doctor Dr. Throne Mayson via telephone.
With quiet the first impression already made throne can tell immediately she is not like other nurses / midwifes. She sassy and driven and eager to become the best which has him taking a liking to. It wasn’t all rainbows and sunshine between them but they’re drawn together like magnets, thrusted into this world wind romance that leaves these two to know right away that their’s no one else for them in the world except for them.
They are each others end game. Complete couples goals.
Of course the journey to happily ever after isn’t with out its challenges, but
You will fall head over heles with this story and watching them try. From first page to the last,
It’s full of lighthearted, sweet moments that will make you crave more.
Definitely did not disappoint
This should not be slept on
Pick this up and read it today.

The perfect romance to get you through your week!
.
Heartwarming, sweet with added danger and suspense it’s the perfect read for anyone who loves romance with some twists.
.
Sheridan knocked it out the park. I’m beginning to think she’s not human. Everything she writes I love and this story was just the pick me up I needed to read this week to get me out of my funk. The characters were great. The whole concept of the BOOM was intriguing to me and I enjoyed it. Autumn is someone we all inspire to be. She’s funny, strong, and knows exactly where she wants to be in her life. Thorne well, he’s just a giant teddy bear and I loved that. I’ve been reading way too many alphaholes, so he made this story really enjoyable and it was nice to have that break from the dark and intense.
.
Both showed undeniable chemistry and sexual tension and I’m not gonna lie I would have liked that to be drawn out more, but I understand it’s a stand-alone so I’m not mad either way. I feel like a bonus epilogue would have been great also. With his job being what it is I would have liked to see him being the one to deliver his future children. I feel like that would have been the perfect end but Again, I’m not mad at what we got.
.
Even though their journey was short and quick I enjoyed this story immensely and I want more. The details and scenarios were real and authentic. The world was well written. I just wished there was more. But still a great read.
