Thump. That's what my heart did when I saw her. The vivacious lead singer of the world-famous band, Luminous. Effa's bubbly, quirky, and she's about to rock my world.
While going on tour with an all-female rock band should be intriguing, I've left someone behind. Someone so important it could be the difference between life and death.
Lines are blurred, jealousy flares - Effa sets my pulse racing, and she's going to change everything.
With a flair for all things creative, USA Today Bestselling Author K E Osborn, is drawn to the written word. Exciting worlds and characters flow through her veins, coming to life on the page as she laughs, cries, and becomes enveloped in the storyline right along with you. She's entirely at home when writing sassy heroines and alpha males that rise from the ashes of their pasts.
K E Osborn comforts herself with tea and Netflix, after all, who doesn't love a good binge?
That was the kind of ending that is going to stick in my mind until I can get the next book in my hands. February can't possibly get here fast enough, even if it is only next month, but I am so very grateful I don't have long to wait.
This was a nice twist on the rocker books I normally read. I loved the female rock group. I loved that there was this awesome group of woman out there making music and that hopefully, slowly but surely, I am going to get to see each of them find their HEA. In this book, Effa was a unique woman who is drawn to Mercs the moment she lays eyes on him. The two are drawn together and quickly decide to explore what they could be. But they have so much to deal with along the way. Devious fellow musicians, the needs of family, out of control friends, and so much more. I was able to just keep reading and get caught up in each new thing that happened with them. And then that ending... While I knew something was coming, I just didn't know what. I am officially hooked on this new series and cannot wait for the next book.
God! I love a rockstar book and this one certainly didn't disappoint. This was a different kind for me though, there was no brooding male rockstar well not a lead character anyways. But was full of a high energy all girl band that rocked just like the men in all ways.
This book featured lots of things illness, infatuation and a little gambling. And one hell of a hot brooding alpha lighting tech, that sweeps the lead of her feet. This story is quite fast pasted and the story evolves quickly with Mach and Effa. But I won't go into detail at all. The journey needs to be experienced and I won't spoil it. But steamy scenes and crossed words are in-store for you.
Once a line gets drawn in the sand this book goes in a quite sinister direction. Leaving the story ending on a huge cliff hanger and my god am I reeling from it. I almost threw my kindle and shouted blue murder. But I will hold my breath in the hopes for the outcome. It's got to be ok, it just has to be.
A huge, huge recommend from me from an author that can write a rock star book with her eyes closed.

I am a huge Rockstar Romance lover, so when I heard this novel surrounded around an all girl rock band I was immediately in! As for my rating and my review. I'm on the fence on how I'm going to approach this. I had my likes, but I also had my dislikes.
I did enjoy Pulse, but it took me sooooo long to actually get into the storyline to the point of wanting to read more.
I liked the premise of an all girl rock band and I really liked the female protagonist Effa (Effervescent). I loved her hippie ways. However, It was a turn off being constantly reminded of her hippie ways and the fact that she is in fact a hippie.
I really enjoyed the male protagonist (Mercs) for the first half of the novel. He was sweet and endearing. He came across as the boy next door and I loved how he hated being far away from his family, but knew he had to work in order to provide for his Grandmother and his ill sister. But throughout the novel, his character suddenly morphed into an alpha asshole. Don't get me wrong I love alpha ass characters, but only when the novel starts off with an alpha ass. Mercs seemed like a douche in the second part of this novel. Which ended up being an immediate turn off.
Oh my world is that a mighty cliffhanger...I hate cliffhangers, but this one has me FINALLY intrigued and wanting to see what happens next.
Overall, I wanted to love Pulse but sadly (In my Opinion) this novel was just okay. I do plan on picking up the next book in the Luminous series called Breathe.
5Stars Oh my, with an exciting start this book makes you stand up and take notice straight away! Bring on the rest of this new series.
Effa or Effervescent aka Vespa Carrington, lead singer of an all girl rock band called Luminous, is one with nature and uses this to calm and guide her in her crazy rockstar world. Mercs, or Kaden Mercury, takes over as the lighting director for the girls' shows and makes his mark from the beginning, impressing Effa as well.
We met this funky all girl rock band in the Recoil series where they were the supporting act, now they are making it on their own and we are given the opportunity to get to know them better. The characters are all different in their own way but all exceptionally talented and extremely likeable, especially Effa who says.."I don’t do anger, I’m all about embracing the love and harmony."
The chemistry between Effa and Mercs is strong but sweet as well. Oh my Gaia! They make a mighty fine couple. They burn up the sheets with intense passion but also really care for each other's well being.
You do find yourself chuckling in the humorous scenes, getting annoyed with certain people (as well as feel like giving them a shake to wake them up), feeling afraid at other times but generally this is a feel good story that makes you crave more from these characters....especially as it's a cliffhanger and a bobby dazzler at that! Thankfully we only have a short while to wait for 'Breathe' to continue with the story!

Oh my gosh my heart the cliffhanger killed me I so did not see that coming just WOW . I really enjoyed Pulse it drew me in from start to finish with lovable characters and refreshing story line . I've had the pleasure of reading the Recoil Rock series were the luminous are introduced mainly Effa who I adore the way she embraces her uniqueness . From the first meeting between Effa and Mercs they shared a undeniable attraction that built into a inferno that couldn't be extinguished add in sex scenes that will leave you tingly and love the way how their opposites but similar in some ways . Effa is amazing she's confident , funny , kind , sassy , beautiful, strong , talented she was just one of those characters you can't help but be drawn to , love the relationship she has with her band mates and crew (I hope they all get their own stories ) . Mercs is pure yummyness loved everything about him the way he is with his family and then the heroine he became super swoon worthy , he's sweet , protective , talented , down to earth , and knows how to evaporate panties (wink) . I formed a strong attachment to the characters and story line which is so refreshing with the heroine being in a all women rock band and the hero being the lighting director they compliment each others work her with music him with creating lighting that went perfect with it . I'm so anxious to read the next book but also excited to see whats to come , looking forward to whats to come for K.E Osborn in the future . copy provided for honest review **************************************** hero=10 heroine=10 secondary characters=10 Chemistry=10 steam= 8 romance=8 humor= 5 darkness level= 4 action=3 mystery= 4 enjoyment=10 angst= 3 story line= 10 Story ending= 7 only because I hate cliffhangers character development= 10 pacing= 10 cover= 10 stars= 5 author= 10 would I recommend this book=yes would I re read this book= yes would I read future books by this author= yes
The emotions are high in this book, but how can it not be with a stage full of women. When an lighting disaster brings them a new lighting tech sparks fly for our lead singer. She was not looking for anything other than the thrill of the stage.
Effa is considered to be the free spirited hippy of the group. Making sure she is at the event early to get the feeling of the hall and know her surroundings. Relationships have not been on her radar, sure she loves the after parties and she has done her share with groupies and crew but nothing with any feeling ever. Watching Kaden on his first day, rearrange and organize everything in preparation to start has her completely intrigued.
Mercs has one goal and that is to do this job and make as much money as possible. He has a sick sister and a grandmother that he needs to support. Determined to take control of the stage from his end and make this tour the best Luminous has had. The first person he meets is Effa, dressed in a onsie watching him work. When he watches her on the stage perform for the first time she has him mesmerized.
Feeling a connection very quickly they have trouble staying away from each other. They realize the dangers in that, will they be able to keep it friendly for the next four months? Will they cross the line and deal with the fall out later? Will the other on tour with them sit back and watch or get involved and cause some trouble?
I enjoyed the beginning of this new series. I see so much to come between the band members and the crew. The characters draw you in wanting to know more. I can't wait to know what happens next, will there be an HEA or heartache?

I adore this adore this author's writing and was so excited to know she was writing a series around the all girl band 'Luminous'! KE Osborn doesn't let her readers down with this new series if this book is anything to go by!
Effa is the lead singer of an all girl, Australian rock band called Luminous and touring in America as the main band. They were support for Recoil in Australia and that's how we got to meet them for the first time. Needing a qualified lighting director they employ Kaden 'Mercs' Mercury who is outstanding at his job. Both are dedicated to their professions but polar opposites with Mercs being a very practical and down to earth all American boy from a small town who can be quick to get angry but only in a protective manner. Effa is also from a rural environment but its 'hippie' lifestyle is something she grew up with and embraces being one with nature, needing a calm atmosphere and doesn't get angry quickly.
These two lead characters are fantastic together though and find they compliment each other well. They have amazing sexual chemistry but also understand each other after going a little slower and getting to know each other first on a deeper level. Mercs balances out Effa so well and is a great influence.
It's a fast paced book which goes hand in hand with the rockstar world. Alongside this are the 'evil' characters and there is mainly one douche..but he is enough to get your hackles up...emotions run high when he is involved in scenes...not mentioning names so I don't spoil it for other readers.
Warning...it is a cliffhanger and oh boy what a cliff you it it too! All I can say is thank you for promising the next book will come out quickly...I'm already hanging out for it though!
I have been a fan of KE Osborn for what seems like forever so I have been looking forward to her new series. I am so happy that she didnt disappoint with Pulse.
Effa is the lead singer of the up and coming girl band Luminous, Merc has just been hired as their lighting director. The chemistry between Effa and Merc starts from the time they meet and just grows as they get to know each other. Effa needs to be careful - the band cant afford to lose Merc on their North American tour and Merc has a few secrets that could ultimately hurt them both, then throw in Jett the lead singer from their opening band who is borderline obsessed with Effa things between Effa and Merc get heated. Then everything they work for is threatened and may never be the same.
I first have to say this is book 1 in a series so there is a cliffhanger - which for full transparency I don't mind. For those who do good news, the second book comes out soon. That being said I highly recommend you pick up Pulse, the journey Ms. Osborn takes you on is well worth it. Told in dual POV's we get to see who both Effa and Merc are separate and how their feelings grow for each other. There are huge emotional elements that will tug at the heartstrings - something I have come to appreciate with Ms Osborn and her stories. The dialog is fantastic and the story is well paced - those elements along with great secondary characters (and maybe a character we have seen before) The Luninous Rock series is well on its way to become one of my favorite KE Osborn series'.
PULSE - 5 sexy female rockers and 1 swoon worthy man
PULSE was everything that I expected from KE Osborn, except for one thing; this was a book about five of the sexiest rockers ever - and they were female. To say I was hooked from the beginning is a huge understatement. I was totally engrossed from the first word through to that totally unexpected cliffhanger - thank goodness Book 2 BREATHE is only a month away.
PULSE is Effa and Kaden's "Mercs" story, and what a story it is. Fast paced and full of everything you could wish for - instant chemistry, a devastating illness, a nasty villian, loyal friends and a couple made for each other. Mercs has joined Luminous' world tour as the new lighting tech, and the first moment he sees Effa, lead singer of the band, she captures his desires and his heart. These two don't get an easy run though, what with misunderstandings, family dramas and shady tour mates - but it's their faith in each other this is the stand out.
I loved this book, it was funny, endearing, sexy and so totally touched with the excellence that Ms Osborn brings to her story and her characters. She is amazing at this genre and PULSE has not let her down, it is up there with her other Rock series Recoil, Rock Gods and Next Generation.
Definitely a highly recommended read.
Read and Reviewed for Reading Is Our Satisfaction.
Effa is the lead singer of the world famous, all girl rock band, Luminous. She's a bubbly, animal onesie wearing hippy, that will cleanse anyone's aura who is stressed out by day, and rock out by night, slip of a pixie girl that I loved. And then there's Merc, the genius lighting tech, who's a broody alpha male, that carries his families problems on his shoulders, but has a huge heart. So I loved him a ton immediately. When these two meet, it's adorably sweet, as well as funny. And off on a fun filled, sometimes angst filled journey that only the brilliant K.E. Osborn can take me on, filled with rock-n-roll drama. Their chemistry shot sparks out of my kindle, so when ignited, FIERY FLAMES lit the hotel sheets on fire during sexy times. And the colorful cast of secondaries added more depth, angst, and humor to the mix! Twists abounded around every venue, especially with other men who wanted Effa, so the f-bombs dropped loud! But not as loudly as the ending of course, as Ms. Osborn is back to her old tricks of insane cliffys that have had her at the top of my list of authors trying to kill me dead, and now has given her the new hashtag of #EVILWHOREQUEEN since I'm going to be DYING until the next part comes out! In the meantime, I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND Pulse to ALL!
Effa is the lead singer of the world-famous rock band Luminous, who is was spotted wearing a giraffe onesie. Kaden 'Mercs' Mercury just took one look at her in her ridiculous get up and his pulse sped up. This girl is something else to the new lighting tech Mercs who will get to spend a lot of time with Effa while on tour with her band.
While on tour things back home are not going great, actually things are getting worse. I am saving every penny but will I be too late to save what is most important to me.
Effa is a distraction that has brighten my life. The only problem is their opening band is all male band and tensions are high with jealousy as someone else has eyes for Effa. Effa is the only one who sets my pulse racing, but am I enough to kickstart her heart?
This was another great book from KE Osborn. I just love her books. She is a great writer and I really enjoyed this one about a hot girl rock star band. This book just seems to have a different perspective such it is about Effa and her rock band but it is also about Mercs. I love it! What I didn't love is the cliffhanger but that just makes me want to read the next book just as much! I did scream NO! So it is very cliffy and now I wait .. Great book loved it!
I have to say I have ugly tears because of the cliff hanger I just endured BUT I will say this book captured my heart and soul from page 1 !! This was a FANTASTIC BOOK !!
Mercury was working away from home because he needed to .. Gran and Kiera we’re counting on him but when he meets Effervescent he felt some thing for her and for his job .. a tingle, a shock, a feeling for meaning. But they both didn’t know that it was maybe .. ummmm .. Love ?? But Merc and Effa will give it there all to be together even if a certain someone tries to keep butting in ..
Being a female rock star has its advantages and disadvantages .. everyone wants something from you and you don’t know who to trust and luxury is something you learn to live with on the road because the girls from Luminous treat themselves and there crew right.
But sometimes you just miss HOME .. Can Kaden and Vespa that come from two different continents make if work after the rock tour ?? Will the lead singer of the front band get his ass kicked ?? And most of all will Kaden make it in time for Kiera ??
I received a complimentary copy of this book through Crazy Cajun Book Addicts for an honest review.
I haven't read anything by this author before but i'm so glad I took a chance as I really enjoyed Pulse. It was an addictive read from the very first page. What I really liked about it was its not your normal rockstar romance as this is an all female rockband. Each girl is quirky and flirty in their own way and hopefully we'll get to see more of them if they get their own books. Pulse is Effa's story.
Effa is the lead singer in the band she's quite quirky and a little on the hippy side. She has a heart of gold and can get a great read on people the instant she meet them and that's just what happens when she meets the bands new lighting directer Kaden 'Mercs' Mercury.
Mercs has landed the job of his dreams more or less, touring with the girls and crew of 'Luminous.' He's in desperate need of the money to help out his sister but when he meets Effa he knows she's different to any other women he's met.
A great read and after that ending I can't wait for February to get here!!
All you Rock Star book junkies who wanted an all female band to read about- here it is. This brand new series features the Band Luminous. After reading hundreds of Rock Star books that are male oriented, it was nice to see the ladies who believe in the Rock mantra of Sex, Drugs and Rock & Roll. All 5 band members are introduced in Pulse, however this book concentrates on their lead singer Effa & Sound Man extraordinaire Kaden "Merc" Mercury. I LOVE Effa (short for Effervescent) and that isn't even her real name, she is wise beyond her years, a bit naive and an old soul thanks in part to her hippy upbringing. She has her sights set on the bands new Sound Man and poor Kaden, doesn't stand a chance, but hiding things from Effa, who is an open book can cause trouble. There is plenty of drama both with Luminous and the the lead singer of their opening band. This does end on a cliffhanger, but book 2 Breathe will be here before you know it. This review is based on the advanced copy I received.
Good 3.5 read. Love the Rocker Chick concept of this story. Effa (lead singer) enters the story and you feel right away her Mother Earth qualities which was awesome. I enjoy the interesting and unusual and she definitely delivers that. Merc (new lightning guy) touched my heart right off the bat. So don’t laugh but I love how we meet him and are introduced to his good work ethic and amazing organizational skills. Maybe that is a small thing but I loved it (no I am not OCD haha). Most impressive though is his love for family even after experiencing loss. How cancer touches his world is an added emotional element. For me the characters of this book were the shining stars. Effa and Merc as well as the entourage that came with them kept me entertained and intrigued. This book has a lot going on and at times I was a bit confused and just didn’t have a good understanding. Of course saying that I need to clarify that this book is a cliffhanger so filling in the details might occur in the next book. Overall I thought this was a good story and look forward to its second part. I am guessing and hoping some of the other characters might be getting their own story in the future as well. Happy Reading!
I love rock star romances, it's one of my all time favorite tropes. What I really enjoyed most was that Pulse resolved around an all girls rock band. But this story fell flat for me. It was long, dragged in some parts, and I sadly skimmed. I had high hopes for Pulse, but was disappointed.
Effa was a hip chick, and she mentioned that every chance she could. Got a bit repetitive...
In the beginning Mercs was a very sweet and loving hero. Family meant everything to him, as well as taking care of his sick sister. But halfway through the book his character changed, one that left me mind boggled. He turned into the typical alpha asshole, douchebag. Now don't get me wrong I am an alpha lover but when he was portrayed as one thing and all of a sudden becomes something else...... it turned me off. He became crude, and cruel to Effa.
And of course there was a cliff hanger.... Which usually leaves me reeling, but I'm interested to see what happens next.
I liked Pulse, but it did have it's moments. Will I read it again, probably not. But I will pick up the next book.
Popstars… Popstars… Popstars… I’m a real sucker for a book about Popstars. This book was different than most it’s Effa (the female lead) who’s the lead singer of world famous rock band, Luminous. Most other books I’ve read it’s the guy who’s the popstar so this was a nice change. Effa’s on tour with her band and they have problems with the lighting guy, he get’s sacked and we meet Kaden Mercury or Mercs to his friends, he’s a lighting GOD….. he has problems back home and that’s why he’s on the tour trying to earn as much money as he can to help a family member. There is great sexual chemistry between Effa and Merc and we follow their story. The only disappointment I had was I wasn’t aware this book didn’t wrap up the story, we ended on a cliff hanger and have to wait for book 2, which thanks goodness is out in feburary. I can’t wait to read that and she whats in store not only for Effa and Merc but also the other characters which have dramas and problems.
"Sometimes there's more life in the peace and quiet than in the mad rush of the hurricane of the music."
Holy roller coaster Batman! This is the first book I've read by K.E. Osborn and she brought it. There are so many twists and turns in this story line that I thought I was going to get motion sickness. I loved every minute of the ride. There are so many differenct story lines and they are so well developed that I devoured this book in twenty four hours. I cannot say enough about her characters. They are absolutely stunning and I could see them come to life right before my eyes. While reading I felt like I was walking amongst them and witnessing their story first hand. I also experienced the gamut of emotions throughout this story and at times they were in the extreme. I absolutely adored the characters I was supposed to and felt genuine rage and anger at her villain. The disappointment, heartbreak, and fear I felt made my chest physically hurt, but these moments are balanced by sweet, steamy, humorous feel good moments. If that isn't enough to bring you back for more, oh my gosh the ending. I cannot wait for Breathe.
Pulse is the first book in The Luminous Rock Series, and, if you love a good rock star romance with a unique story line and awesome characters, this is the book for you!
This new series focuses on the all female rock band Luminous. In this first book, we are introduced to all five members of the band, but this story mainly focuses on Effa and Kaden aka "Mercs". Effa is the band's lead singer. She is a hippie/unique soul who sees the best in everyone, and Mercs is the band's new lighting tech. From the moment these two first set eyes on one another, the sparks fly! As the story progresses there is some angst and drama. And the ending? Well, it will definitely leave you wanting more. The good news is book two which is Breathe is set to be released in February!
Awesome start to what I am sure is going to be an awesome series!
What a great combo: a fun sexy rocker romance combined with K. E. Osborn’s flare for the written word. Pulse is a very well written storyline with main characters you’ll love. For that matter you’ll love “most” of the characters.
Effa is the lead singer of an all girl band and Mercs joins the crew as their lighting tech. When they meet, they hit it off and the chemistry between them is amazing. They come from similar backgrounds yet Effa is more carefree where as Merck’s seems to carry the weight of His family's troubles on his shoulders. I don’t do spoilers so I’ll simply say that everything isn’t all peaches and cream for Mercs and Effa and someone is out to cause trouble. The story ends on a Huge Cliffie but I can just sense that part 2 is going to be soooooo worth it. Kudos Ms. Osborn for a great book that I highly recommend readers 1-click. They won’t be sorry they did!
This book definitely ends on one hell of a cliffhanger, but unlike many I love that as much as I hate it.
It is incredibly well written and I just love how K. E. Osborn repeatedly manages to give us original characters, while sticking to the sub genre of Rock Stars that I love so dearly.
Effa is like no other character I have ever met before and I just adored her from first page. The same goes for Mercs and his big heart; it’s nice getting a male character that aren’t afraid of commitment.
Out of fear that I’ll leave spoilers, if I go on much longer, I’ll simply say thank you. Thank you for an amazing read that touches on some very important and heartbreaking issues. Thank you for putting me on an emotional roller coaster, looping me around between love, adoration, heartbreak and worry.
3.5 stars Pulse was my first time reading anything by KE Osborn. It was a fun, sexy little rock star read with a difference. The stars of the band are all women, not men. Effa is the lead singer of the band, Luminous, and along with her four girlfriends is headed for the big time in the USA. After a disastrous incident at their last concert leads to Merc being brought on board to join the crew as the as the new lighting technician due to issues with the previous guy Merc and Effa have an instant chemistry. But, where Effa is carefree and likes to live life to the fullest, Merc has the weight of the world on his shoulders. He has a sick sister to look out for and is his family’s only breadwinner. There was a lot happening in this book, with an element of suspense from a outside source, and of course, there is the fact that it’s a duet and has left us with a cliffhanger
I'm a huge fan of rock star books so I super excited to read this book! I love the aspect of a all girl band. Effa and her band mates know how to bring in a crowd and can rock it out! I loved Effa. She was a free spirit, bubbly and naive. She is the head and the center of the band. She wasn't looking for Kaden Mercury but fate had a hand in helping. I liked Mercury but he kept a lot of things private from Effa. I mean he had good reason but I'm afraid it's gonna come back and kick him in the butt. He's very protective of Effa, Gran and Keira. They are his reason for living. Effa and Mercury have some serious chemistry and the sex is off the wall "HOT". For real! It was very hard to put this book down any my mind was blown by the ending, I WAS NOT expecting that at all!!! Holy Crap, I can't wait to get my hands on the next one!!

Wow another great book by K E Osborn. I’m a huge fan of her stories revolving rock stars. We meet Effa in the Recoil series which if you haven’t read that series. You really need to! It’s brilliant but you don’t have to read them before this one as it’s a new series. Effa and Mercs are amazing characters. I love Mercs back story about his sister and gran. The love he has for his family is emotional and they are such a close unit. Effa is a very funny character. She is hard to grasp at time because of her hippy ways but she is famous and has a major passion for music. Effa and Mercs meet when they hire Mercs to be a lighting technician. We are left hanging at the end of the book which leaves you pining for the next book and I’m sure we won’t have to wait long to read the next book in the series. Great book and can’t wait to read more.
I love this authors past work, I have fallen in love with her stories and characters but I had a hard time with Pulse. The story was okay, i liked the whole female band thing but my main problem was the male lead character Mercs. I don’t know if he is suppose to come across as a protective alpha, to me he is a controlling jerk. Yeah he’s had issues with his past relationships but geez his words put me in mind of someone who is abusive. I did like all the girls and there are so many possibilities, I already have in my mind of who I would like to see together. The story ends with a cliffhanger and I will read the next book because I do want to know what happens. Like I said I love this author so please give this a chance and read for yourself.
Received an ARC at no cost to author..I did like the story i also had some issues with it. I enjoyed the group being an all girl band, kudos to you, girl power whatever, we got it. So as we meet Effa short for (Effervescent) I probably would have changed my name, sorry to go off script, totally not important, anyway as I was saying about Effa, she was a cool hippie chick, but I kind of got tired of being reminded that she was a hippie, we got we don't it repeated multiple times. Then we meet Mercs and you will like him in the beginning of story and then I don't know what happens to him that he transforms himself into an ass..What was up with that? And last but not lease, here it is folks we get a cliffhanger.
Holy Cliffhanger Batman - I did NOT see that coming!!
This is a different type of rock star romance in that the band is all female - LOVED THAT!! Effa is a free spirit kind of soul and Mercs is hot, family oriented, but alpha in all the ways that count!
Their love story was sweet and at times frustratingly mis-communicated!!
I would have liked the females to be stronger and felt that Effa did NOT make very good choices at times and really put herself in a wrong situation. But overall - I enjoyed the story and felt it was a solid four star read, but was blown away by the ending! Can't wait for "Breathe" to come out!!
MUST...HAVE...NOW!!
I voluntarily requested and reviewed an advance reader copy.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review.
Pulse is the first book in The Luminous Rock Series from K.E. Osborn. This is a rock star romance featuring the all girl band Luminous. Pulse is about Effa and Mercs. Effa is the lead singer for the band Luminous. I really like her as she had this hippy vibe and she always saw the good in everyone. Mercs is the new lighting tech for the band. The moment these two see each other the sparks fly. Thus begin an angst filled journey to love with a side of drama. I mean come on there has to be some drama. You can't put an entire band of all girls together and not have some kind of drama though I will admit the men are just as bad as the woman. I really liked this story and the ending blew me away. I can not wait to read Breathe which is coming in February so the wait is not to long. If you love a good rock star romance you do not want to miss this series.
An all female rock band who live up to the old adage of Sex, drugs and rock'n'roll. Luminous are introduced in the Recoil series but this is all about them.
This book is about Effervescent, the lead singer, and a roadie. This book gives a brief glimpse of how Effa grew up and how the band formed but delves into the life of Effa and Mercs.
These two are so polar opposite but they seem to fit together, they have issues that need to be worked out but can they survive any fall out that occurs due to outside influences.
This book keeps you wanting more and even at the end you curse KE for how she ends this book.
I was given a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
