Now a USA Today Best-Seller!
From bestselling author Willow Winters, comes a provocative, STANDALONE, contemporary romance.

Don’t judge a book by its cover.
You’ll tell me you don’t… but you already think you know what my story’s about.

You have no idea.
Just like the people sitting in this courtroom.
She asked for it. That’s what they keep saying.

And no, it’s not because my skirt was too short or I was drunk at a party.
It’s nothing like that. It’s because of what I like and how I like it.

They’re judging me as I sit in the front row, my eyes drawn to the man on trial.
If I’d known it was going to end like this, I never would have gone home with him.
But he’s the type of man I just can’t say no to.

I wanted to feel his lips kiss down my neck.
I dreamed of running my fingers along the rough stubble on his jaw.
I craved his hands on me, pinning me down.
I needed to whisper his name in the dark, late at night.

You still think you know what happened? You don’t.
He’s innocent and I enjoyed every second I was with him.

Let me tell you my story, all about how I asked for it.

Willow started writing after having her little girl, Evie, December 2015. All during her pregnancy with Evie she continued to read and she only wanted to read romance. She was reading a book a day — sometimes two.

In January 2016 Willow was staying up late with Evie and just thinking of all these stories. They came to her constantly so she finally sat down and just started writing. She always wanted to do it so she figured, why not? Today Willow cannot be happier for making that decision!

ღ The description to this book does not give it justice-I literally could not put this book down.

📚 Both of them had a shattered past, both were broken in their own way

descriptionSo to be honest from the get go this author can be a little hit or miss for me. Sometimes I find her book uber angsty and all over the place and other times they just CLICK and I find myself blown away by the story. This one fell firmly in the BLOWN AWAY category. I genuinely loved every word, every paragraph, every page, every chapter of this story.

description

On to the details...I found this one to be well written. The pace was perfect and my attention never wandered nor did I feel the need to skim. The plot was super engaging and had me turning the pages like a crazy woman. The mystery aspect was very well done. In fact, I thought I had this one figured out, turns out I DID NOT. 'Nuff said about that. The angst level in this one was fairly low and there was no OW/OM drama. Neither character were virgins and in fact, one thing I loved about the heroine was that she owned her sexuality. The sex scenes were both hot and plentiful. There was a smallish cast of secondary characters. I know one, in particular, is getting his own book (next I think) and I wouldn't mind seeing a female character that was introduced get a book of her own as well. In any case, they all added a nice extra layer of depth to the story.

description

Both the main characters in this one were extremely likable. Dean had that sexy asshole thing down to an art form but at the same time when it came to Allie, he had a sweetness and vulnerability that made you want to wrap him up in your arms. He was pretty much all in from the moment he met Allie. I also adored Allie. Like I mentioned above, she owned her sexuality. She liked what she liked, and she acted however she wanted to. I will say I wished she had opened herself up earlier to Dean, but I also understood why she didn't. Last, it was all wrapped up in a good HFN (not great) ending <-- I seem to say that a lot lately (lol). I would have liked to have seen a farther into the future look at this couple. But perhaps we will see them again in the next book. That being said, even with those TINY issues I still thought this was a damn fine read and therefore it gets two HUGE thumbs up.description

5 “Running Towards Something” Stars

“For forgiveness. For love. For a life without pain and regret.”

The main characters each describe themselves at some point in this novel. And both give a 3 word answer. I thought I’d sum up the book in similar fashion. Brave. Thought-provoking. Fearless.

I don’t think I’ve ever read a book this fast before. She Asked For It is an absolute page turner. I could not put it down! That definitely worked in my favor because I also held my breath throughout much of it. I had no idea how things would shake out and being on edge while reading this amazing book was absolutely euphoric!

Willow Winters has created something truly special. It’s unlike anything else I’ve read thus far and really touched me in a way I didn’t expect. She Asked For It is truly brilliant, in that, it’s entertaining and unapologetically sexy while also making a bold statement. It’s thought-provoking and definitely timely considering today’s social climate. I adore the heroine, Allison. Much like the author, she makes a decision and a statement, regardless of what others may think or say. She’s unconventional, bold, selfless, and fearless. Her story broke my heart, luckily Dean helped piece it back together!

Both main characters, Allison and Dean, will appeal to readers. They’re both beautifully broken, but make the most of their situations. They’re perfect for one another and embody the true message of the book which is to live your truth and be the person you want to be.

Is this book for everyone? Probably not, but I’d recommend it to anyone. If you’re looking for a story that will keep you on the edge of your seat, make you feel all the feels, and question everything, this one is for you!

4.5 “He Definitely Asked For It” stars!!

Not knowing what to expect is one of the many things I love about reading and that’s exactly why I love Willow Winters. She delivers twisted plots, enchanting characters, and I never really know the truth until the very end. While Forget Me Not will still hold a piece of my heart, She Asked For It has quickly become my new fave from this author. She tackled an incredibly sensitive topic, gave it meat and heat and guts and pain and FEELS and the damn kitchen sink, and virtually compelled me to keep reading, no matter how hard it got. She slayed with this one!

Dean and Allison were no strangers to pain. For Dean, grief and violence were his mainstays. He was very angry, all of the time. His only solace was Allison. As for her, grief had touched her in a tangible way. It went hand-in-hand with violence and the secrets she kept were her way of keeping those she cared about from suffering further pain. Together, they got a huge dose of the unexpected. Neither was looking for love, but it found them regardless. I really enjoyed the tug-of-war played by these two. Every time Dean got a foot in, Allison was trying to find ways to distance herself. Yet as much physical distance she tried to place between them, he had already stamped his ownership on her heart.

Every time I thought I knew what was what in this story, the author threw me for a loop and I loved it. I didn’t know what Allison’s motives were. While Dean came across as an open book (imagine that), getting to know Allison was like slowly peeling an onion. You’ve got uncontrollable tears coming down your face and you still have more to cut through and do to make the onion palatable. These characters had depth and the plot was emotional torture, in the best way.

I loved how she took this phrase, She Asked For It, that many of us have had to live down and turned it into such a hugely thoughtful and profound story. She turned a glaringly bright light on it and took away some of its power. She didn’t shy away from the ugly and instead tried to show the beauty that could live underneath it. This story was a painful yet stunning portrayal of one girl’s journey to make things right, no matter the cost, and her fight and eventual defeat against the love of a lifetime.

This book was intense! It was dark, gritty, suspenseful and it kept me on edge.

Dean and Allie are broken. They both have traumatic pasts that define them. They hit it off from the start cause they recognize the suffering in the other. They both deserve to be loved and understood. I loved Dean and Allie together and I am so happy they found each other. Also their chemistry was off the charts!

This is a difficult book for me to review without spoiling it. I want to say so much more and feel this review isn’t making it justice but I really liked it and highly recommend it!

PS: I can’t wait for Daniel’s story!

TOO EASY 0.5 & SHE ASKED FOR IT #1

TOO EASY: This is where it all so briefly began. In this we meet Dean and Allison

A freshman at Stewart High, Dean Warren's father had just recently passed away so he’s under the care of his mother and stepfather neither of which it seems want him. Anger so deep has taken root within his soul and that seeps through the early pages of this quick read. A troubled teen expelled from one school to the next due to his behaviour.

Arriving home yet again not knowing if he’s being expelled from yet another school his step father takes to him with fists, awakening the next day sees him packing up his vast belongings and high tailing it out of there.

Allison and her best friend Sam are super excited to be sneaking out of Allison's home to attend a party. Allison is harbouring a super big crush on a guy named Mike who will also be at this big gathering of young teens. Drinks flow freely, too freely, and before she knows it her and her bestie are drunk as skunks. Sam goes off to a room to sleep it off, but Alison knows she needs to drink some water and proceeds to take a glass up to the room Sam is in but before she reaches it she basically blacks out. And that is where this short novel ends.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Dean was also looking forward to this party, a chance to meet a few new guys but he never made it due to the beating his stepfather dished out.

Being that is was a lead up for 'She Asked for it' it was on the short side, a teaser of sorts, you'd find yourself settling down for the story and no sooner had you started it and then it ends, for me it felt like a powercut, your left in the dark wondering what the hell happened.

SHE ASKED FOR IT: This is where Dean and Allison (aka Allie Cat) actually meet

I don’t know if it was just me but having Too Easy included in the beginning kind of made for a confusing read. It didn’t flow with the rest of the story, it wasn’t until I delved further into this was where the story came into its own and wasn’t so off balance.

Now we’ve skipped to college, Dean moved out of home in ‘Too Easy’ and five years later he’s never looked back, Allison has also moved away and is attending the same college as Dean.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Meeting Dean was unexpected for her, he wasn’t part of the plan, a distraction she could do without, because she’s out for vengeance and he can’t get in the way of her making that happen, because you see she’s followed a guy here, a guy who got away with something he did back in her home town and she wants him to pay.

She knew for the get go that she had to stay away from him, trouble with a capital T, but the universe had other plans when it came to these two.

He's the type of guy who will force you against a wall, life up your skirt and rip off the thin fabric beneath it with a forceful tug. The type of guy who will hold you there while you scream as he takes you harder and harder.

He's the type of guy my mother told me I should stay away from.

As I progressed further into this I was then finally under the authors spell, she then started to draw me in and I was loving everything I was reading, I connected with the storyline, the characters and it got to that point where I never wanted this ride to end but like all the rest I'm on that wagon of hunting down the author for the next installment.

The story starts with a prequel (Too Easy) from five years ago. I liked that prequel. It introduces the characters to us. About how Dean’s life wasn’t what he deserved. He was so angry with his mother and his stepdad. They always were indifference towards him... And then "She Asked for It" starts five years later. When I started reading "She Asked for It", I felt a bit lost. There was a gap that made the characters a bit different from what they were five years ago, especially Allison. I couldn’t understand why she acted that way, why she didn’t want to be her old self and why she pushed Dean away. Until I read 70% of the book then I understand her more. I really wanted to know how was life for Dean when he left his home at the age of sixteen. Told in dual POV, 1st person. It’s the first installment in the "She Asked for It" series and it doesn't end on a cliffhanger. Overall, it wasn't that bad, but not so good either. I hope you enjoy it!

When I was 50% done with the story, I was thinking "I don't understand anything. Why the hell can't I understand what happens in this story?" There were so many questions unanswered. And maybe at 80%, I started to understand. But still... I was confused and I didn't like this. The book was ok, but even the ending was somehow not right. I didn't believe Dean had such an easy exit. Not after what he did. 😒
Anyway... He asked for it. Yes, he! The asshole who made two girls loose their mind and body. In more ways than you can possibly think about.

I was trying to think of one perfect word that would convey my feelings about this book and I came up with POWERFUL. Although many more came to mind. SAD, OVERWHELMING, HOPE, INTENSE, PROVOCATIVE and DEVOTION.

"He's the type of man who gives you chills while making everything else that matters hot. The kind you know you're supposed to stay away from because they'll ruin you without thinking twice.....The kind of man my dreams are made of."

I think She Asked For It just took the top spot in my favorite Willow Winters books. UNPUT-DOWNABLE!! It's really hard to try to shrink Willow's word into a review that's a few paragraph's long because what she did with her words....with this story, was so piercing, so strong and extremely fierce.

"The pain vanishes when he smiles"

Dean and Allison. There's isn't a story of fairy tales, sugar cookies, sprinkles and cupcakes. Allison has a past, Allison is on a mission. You can't treat people the way you do and think there will be no consequences, anyone can be reached, anyone can be touched. I wanted to see myself in Allison but honestly I'm not that crazy, I'm not that insane.....I'm not that brave. Dean is troubled. He's possessive, protective. He's had a rough start and is working through several issues, he was just supposed to be a piece to the puzzle but he became the whole damn game. No one else took the time to see Allison and in an instant Dean saw everything.

"I asked for this. For vengeance. For justice. I didn't just ask for it. I f*cking prayed for it"

There's so many layers to this story and the message is extraordinary. I felt every part of it, every single word....so deeply. You will too.

"Do you still feel broken?" "Of course I am." "Once you're shattered, you can be mended but the cracks are still there"

Oh my! Can it get any better?
What an amazing book!

It is written in quite a muted mood, sometimes even dark and desperate. There are only tiny hints about what happened in Allie’s past and that leads to a slowly building up tension, chapter by chapter...
There is the feeling that both protagonists, Dean and Allie, fight for footing and support and self-determination while drowning in the guilt of their pasts, slowly spiralling down a black hole with seemingly no way out…

Reading this book evoked quite a lot of emotions in me: helplessness and powerlessness, even anger and rage because all seemed to be so needless and unnecessary... but also heartbreak and compassion and sympathy...
I always felt like talking would have helped both protagonists, but people in real life too.

I had to stop reading several times to just digest the story and reflect it. The saying “She asked for it” made me feel conflicted before I even read the book but the more after reading it.
It is so easy to judge and condemn people without really knowing their story, without even asking questions or offering any help.
Willow Winters has a very unique way of focusing on problems of modern society and to write about them in a sensitive way.

I received an ARC and I am leaving a voluntary review.

A daring book that I couldn’t put down for a second. Willow Winters has written a thought provoking, darker, compelling novel that has won me over. She Asked For It is a slow build up of emotionally crafted turmoil of mystery, audacious and fearless characters and plot.

You think by just reading the synopsis you know what the book will entail, but believe me, you don’t know the full context until you are fully submerged. The message and subject matter can be sensitive for some, but Willow wrote carefully and brilliantly; never crossing harsh boundaries. Respecting those lines within writing.

Ally and Dean are perfect for one another. Both having darker pasts in which have made them who they are now. Cravings they can’t deny with each other, but one enlightening evening changes everything for their future.

I was beyond engaged with these characters. I can’t say enough words on how Willow crafted them. I really liked Ally with how brave and fearless she is. She knew what she liked regarding sexuality, to which she owned it. Dean was very likeable as well, even though he gave off a cocky vibe from the beginning.

To help get you in the mindset of She Asked For It, you can read the prequel Too Easy. This new adventure won’t be cut and dry, it’s raw, dark and powerful. With a mystery and a couple twists thrown in, this story kept me guessing every step of the way. Willow keeps producing elaborate novels that readers flock to and this latest novel is a perfect example of her talented skill.

I thought I knew what to expect going into this read but let me just say I was so very wrong. This book broke me, ripped my heart out and slowly pieced it back together. She Asked For It was a heart-wrenching emotional read that had me in tears with so many unexpected twists and turns that I inhaled every page till the very end. Willow Winters destroyed me with this book but in the best possible way!

This was my first Willow Winter's book and it was deliberately, because I see her books a lot on GR, she is quite popular author, her books are read also by other authors.

I must say there was no WOW moment for me. I really don't like stories where you don't know what you are reading almost to the end. Endless teasing about some secret, what happened 5 years ago; everything based on too many hints through whole story! And than you wait and read and at the end there is not even WOW effect. At this "suspense" progress I expected much stronger ending.

“There are times in life when you run toward something.
And there are times you run away.
Neither choice is shameful.
But either way, you’re running.”

This book is one that will stay with you for a while. So much pain, so much hatred and so much love.

description

This book is hard for me to review because I am not really sure where to start. So, what I will say is that Dean and Allison’s story is one that will make you believe again. If you are cracked, broken or shattered or you feel unwanted and alone there is someone who can start to mend your cracks or put the pieces of your broken, shattered soul back together again. There will be someone who will make you feel wanted, loved and safe.

This is their story and it is one that they need to tell!

“I wouldn’t be able to do our story justice. Because it’s tainted by a different tale. One that’s darker. One I wish didn’t exist. In that story, I know exactly how I’d be described. Some would call me a villain. They’d say I calculated it. That I wanted to hurt him. That he wouldn’t have come anywhere near me, had he known my intentions. I tried to stay away, but he tempted me until I couldn’t resist. That’s the truth … he asked for it.”

These two have beautiful souls even if they have been blackened by pain, anger, vengeance and loss and I believe that if you give them a chance you will fall in love with them the same way that I have!

Willow Winters is an author I’ve been meaning to read for far too long. Almost every Willow Winters book I have looked at has screamed ‘read me’. They seem like the kind of darker romances I favour, the kind with a gritty storyline to keep you hooked. With She Asked for It, I finally jumped into a Willow Winters book – and I need more.

Reading the synopsis, I created an idea in my head of what this book would be about. In fact, I went in expecting a very specific kind of read. Only to be surprised by what I was given. It was not a bad surprise – far from it, as I loved the book – it merely wasn’t what I was expecting. The synopsis has you expecting a very specific kind of story, but what you’re given will leave you truly amazed.

You see, She Asked for It is a wonderful revenge story. I could give all kinds of details, but to do so would be to give spoilers. Just know there is much more depth to this story than you would imagine, with the revenge element being wonderful. The story sucks you in and before long you’re lost, turning page after page to see what happens next. It is a single sitting addiction, a book you will be unable to put down.

With a gripping storyline, wonderful characters, and a romance you will adore, She Asked for It will leave you wanting more. Fortunately, there is a connected story with one of the characters in this book. I honestly cannot wait for this connected story – based upon the information we were given throughout this one, Daniel’s story is going to be a lot of fun. It will take a lot to top She Asked for It, but I’m sure Willow Winters will provide us with another dark and gripping story.

Without a doubt, this ticked all the boxes I had hoped Willow Winters would tick. It was the perfect introduction to the author’s work, and I’ll certainly be picking up more of her work in the future. In fact, I already have a few on my Kindle begging me to read them – and if her other work is as addictive as this, I’m sure I’ll be a serious fan in no time at all.

Usually when I read a fantastic book, I usually have the words of my review in my head. I would already have something to say about the book. With this book, I got nothing. No words coming in. No unique phrases I use in my reviews. I was basically stuck. Why? Because this book TOUCHED me. This book MOVED me. This book PARALYZED me. This book HYPNOTIZED me. She Asked For It brought me to my knees. I was left empty and speechless. That's why I did not have any words in me. She Asked For It just took every single part of me. I loved it. I celebrated it. Wow. I have not read a lot of Willow Winters books but so far, I just been impressed. Her stories are amazing and striking. Her multi-layered characters tell a unique story that will rip you apart but also mend you at the same time. She Asked For It is definitely a roller coaster read filled with a deeply rooted and emotional story that will grip you and hold you in strongly.

Every single book I read by Willow Winters has made me cry. I do not know why but I end up bawling my eyes out. With She Asked For It, I cried. Again. Seriously, this book really had the words seep through inside me and just slay bit by bit. I was totally help captive. Thrilling. Gut Wrenching. Unconventional. Brilliant. Mesmerizing. She Asked For It was a thought provoking and soul shattering book that touched a story on compassion, strength, heartbreak and love. She Asked For It was a special because it had such a powerful meaning that I totally embraced. Yes, the plot is really different, bold and challenging but it just had a spark that ignited my soul. Willow Winters is a goddess. Her writing just completely astounds me. In She Asked For It, she carefully constructed an exceptional and unexpected book with beautiful and somber writing blended with a darkish element with about owning who you are. Compelling and a bit haunting, I was sucked in.

Dean and Allison are two broken characters who certainly click. The chemistry was undeniable and you could feel it immensely. Intense, Soulful, Shattering, Dean and Allison were a couple that I just could not keep my eyes away. Dean was that alpha with a sexy asshole vibe but there was a broken and vulnerable man. I seriously adored the love and protectiveness he had towards Allison and you could totally feel the love he had for her. Allison was bold, fearless and strong. She owned up for who she was and didn't try to be anyone else. I really adored her. Willow Winters clearly wrote these two characters so well.

Willow Winters went with her gut and I respect her for it so much more. This book does not appeal to a lot of people but all I can say that you should give it a chance. Let it open your eyes. She Asked For It brings a societal problem that will keep you on the edge of your seat and make you FEEL the EMOTIONS. I highly recommend.

This book made me FEEL. It was kind of sad, and very relevant. But with a twist.

Allison definitely has the push and pull thing going with Dean. He's determined, though. They are drawn to each other, like their souls recognize their counterpart. Both broken, trying to find their way in life. Both damaged. They so deserve a happy ever after, and they get it. It was a hard won happy ending.

There are some surprises, a slowly unraveling mystery, and some VERY hot scenes. Their story makes you think. It was so good.

I gotta admit that I'm kind of disappointed with this book after finishing it. I had been super hyped for this and I had high expectations and let's say they weren't met. I'm sad to say it but it's true. It's actually the reason I've been putting off on writing this review.

It's such an important book and topic that it saddens me I didn't LOVE love it. It is a pretty great book; it's a book that everyone should read because it portraits an extremely important issue in our society: rape and slut shaming the victims of it. That's why it is extremely important and should be read and talked about! I loved it for that reason alone.

However, when it comes to plot, it just didn't live up to the expectations that I'd built, and it was very predictable at a certain point. Other than that though, I really enjoyed it and I really really loved Dean and Allie and how their relationship was so different from the norm and just important, because it was very important specially in regards to the main topic/issue of the book.

“As in, you should know better than to think I’m giving up on chasing you until I get what I want,” I correct her and hold her gaze. She breaks it though, easing back against the wall and crossing her ankles as she watches the pool game. The sound of the hard balls crashing against one another and the crowd’s reaction when one sinks makes me turn around for a moment. “I like the chase,” she admits and then reaches out and brushes her knuckles against my arm. “I bet you could catch me fast if I let you.” I huff a laugh and smirk at her. “If you let me?” “Yeah,” she says with a note of temptation in her voice, like she’s baiting me, and takes another drink. “Allie Cat, you don’t fool me. You love this little cat and mouse game.” “If I’m the cat, that means you’re the mouse?” she asks me and it’s only then that I realize what I said and how I said it. Maybe the whiskey’s already getting to me. “No, no, you got that wrong. You’re my Allie Cat, but this game we’re playing, I’m the one that’s doing the chasing.”

She Asked For It has it all:

- heat, boy there's lots of it. Some scenes are way hot!!
- angst, it's all over. There's more angst and heartache than anything else, but not just in terms of their relationship but also to do with the whole plot and purpose of the book and Allie's plan.
- sweetness, because despite the fact that Dean and Allie's relationship is very sexual, it doesn't take them long to fall for each other, and be sweet even in the middle of all their chaos.
- love, they both deserve it and this book would be a serious killer (as in you'd be very heartbroken) if there was no HEA.

Warnings: As I've said before this book is about rape and slut shaming girls who are/ have been victims or simply girls who are not afraid to be freely sexual. So please be aware of that. There is no actual rape scene in this book, it almost happens but it is stopped. Again be aware of that if you're sensitive to it.

Despite the fact that I was a little disappointed with this book, I recommend you guys read it, don't let my high expectations through you off of it. Pick this up, it's a book that definitely needs to be read and spoken about all over. Give it a chance because YOU deserve it. It's not really the book that deserves a chance, it's YOU, because it's you that needs to be affected by reading it!

I had to take a few minutes after reading this to get my thoughts together. This book is beautifully written and will take you on a trip through so many emotions then just when you figure it out it does a 180 on you and tips you on your axis. A very powerful read about a subject that even in this day and age, is still very much a viable topic as the topic hints at. The characters were remarkable and written so very well that you wish you knew them, could have been there to help them.

Allie is beautiful, broken and hell bent on becoming what she is made to feel that she is, a "slut". She likes what she likes and goes after it. After a tragic event in her early teens, she manages to go forward and goes to college, a year late because she took care of her grandmother, but she's there nonetheless. She meets Dean, a very handsome bad boy who also shares a class with her. She does want him and he definitely wants her. Dean has had a hard upbringing and because of a misunderstanding, got into trouble for doing what he thought was right, but ended up backfiring on him. His mother is something else entirely and should just fall off the face of the earth!

It's a bit hard to do this next part without giving anything away because you really want to read this story and get everything yourself. So I will just say this, this story will show you how those four little words can do so much more harm that the act itself. It's the guilt, the shame, the self-loathing that one feels when those words are tagged onto their name when the violation is spoken about. Whispered, behind hands, or just right out in the open not caring if the victim hears or not. Those four words do more damage than anyone realizes.

This is a wonderful and powerful read and I highly recommend it!

Not for Me

There's nothing I hate more than giving a negative review when it comes to reading books, however sometimes the book and I just don't seem to fit. That's what happened with She Asked for It, I couldn't seem to gel with these characters from the get go.

The main characters are two wrongs trying to make a right. Allison and Dean both have a rotten past that they've been carrying around for years. A past that has made them what they are today, a girl out for revenge and a guy ready to fight at a moments notice. They aren't good for each other on paper, but can't help the attraction.

We follow Dean and Allison back and forth for a LONG time. Too long. I was getting bored with the little hints and clues about what was going on and wanted some action. I feel the author was going for angst, however it came across as dragging things out and rushing the ending.

The book was well written, with a nice little epilogue, but not my cup of tea. Dean's friend Daniel is up next and his story sounds interesting.

4.5 Stars.

Let me be the first to tell you that this isn't what you think it is. I mean, it is, but it isn't. It's more than you're expecting. The problem with writing a review for a book like this is that I can't say anything. If I say anything beyond "holy shit, that was an edge of your seat" kind of comment, then I'll give something away. I'll spoil it.

And that's not something I want to do. Not at all.

I've never read Willow Winters before. This book caught my attention. This book spoke to me. This book kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time I was reading it.

Because I was waiting for one thing to happen.

And while I spent my time waiting for that one thing? Other things happened. Other big, important, crazy things.

So, pay attention to it all. Absorb it. Live in it. You're about to find out just how She Asked For It and you won't be unscathed when you hear the story.

Holy smokes!!!! This book is so damn good!
She asked for it was RAW, EMOTIONAL, FULL OF ANGST!
Willow Winters has cultivated a dark, twisted, phenomenal read!
I'm just going to throw out there that I did judge Allison wayyyy too early on in this book.
My goodness, that girl was so fucked up in her own head that she couldn't allow anyone to break down any of her sky high walls.
Dean was dark in his own ways. The life he had growing up was nothing short of tragic.
Allison and Dean's relationship was unlike any other!
I absolutely devoured this book and cannot wait to see what Willow has in store for us in the next installment of the series!

Wow what a spectacular book!
I loved everything about it,starting from the cover all the way through the end,how throughout the whole book there’s a buildup all the way to the finale.
It’s gripping, captivating, intense and emotional especially towards the end where everything comes full force.
The writing is absolutely perfect.
The suspense, drama, the sexual tension and the conclusion are written superbly!
The characters are intriguing and fascinating.
I loved Dean from the moment I meet him.
Allison had me intrigued and trying to figure her out.
Dean and Allie are complex characters and both are broken for different reasons.
Yet when the come together they fit perfectly. They complete each other.
Their attraction towards one another is yes physical which was immediate when they saw one another. But it’s so much more than that. It’s something on a much higher plane that neither one of them can explain.
I went into She Asked For It not knowing what the story dealt with so I didn’t have a clue what I would be dealing with. I’m glad of it too because I appreciated it that much more.
Outstanding book!

🎇🎇🎇BOOK HANGOVER!!!🎇🎇🎇

So as always if you have read one of Willow's books you know that it will rip you up and spit you out. This, of course, is another one of those books.
In this day and age with women coming out with the #metoo movement and men being outed like the dogs, they are this book might just be coming out just when something like this needs to be read. She Asked for It is nothing like I have ever read before. It is really empowering and the strength that it took to write it is just awesome. I had to put this book down in places just to take a breath due to some of the issues this book deals with. But that is only because I think I am sheltered. I admit it I am sheltered. If I was out in the "real" world and had to deal with men that treated women like this I wouldn't be so damn surprised.
This book is beautifully written, and is a MUST READ. She didn't ask for anything, but she sure as hell need to do it. And if more women did it, maybe men would be so afraid of us, they would think twice!
I voluntarily read an advance reader copy for my honest review.

Ugh...50% into this book and there is this build up for her to finally admit she likes it rough? WTH? The dialogue is falling flat for me, this story needs more punch. At this point I could care less what happens....I don’t like when an author keeps u hanging this long unless there is a twist. Where are all the five star ratings coming from? Guess I’m the odd man out
