He's a stranger, a stalker... a mystery, and for now, I call him Psycho.

Annabelle
You know that feeling you have when you think you're being watched? Or that you're not alone? I do. All the time. Goosebumps frequent my skin and the hair all over my body stands at attention. I’m no longer bothered by it, in fact, some time ago, I started to feel comforted by it. By him.

The only thing I fear, is if I can handle the dark path of pleasure mixed with pain he's bound to lead me down or how much I crave his touch.

Psycho
Annabelle calls me Psycho, she doesn’t realize how accurate her choice of name is. I want her, always have. She doesn’t know it yet, but she’s mine.
When the time is right, I will claim her. Until then, I’ll watch over her and remind her she’s not alone.

Elliot
Annabelle is my best friend. I'm all she has and I'll do whatever it takes to protect her, even if it's from herself.
She's keeping secrets... secrets that could destroy our friendship.

From Dyslexic kid with a love of Algebra to a published author, no one is more surprised to find me here, than I am. I love to write about tortured pasts and hot sex, a happily ever after that has to be worked for. My stories tend to be a little dark but with some comic relief, typically in the form of sarcasm.

3 I'm Your kitten and your my Psycho Stars

CRAZE: Is a Contemporary standalone debut novel by Indi author Andi Jaxon. Spoken in ‘Dual Perspectives’ In this we meet Annabelle & Elliot two best friends since high school

Hmmmm as you can see by my rating I didn’t like this one, I tried but with it being such a short read it came across rushed and because of this I struggled to connect with the story line or the characters as it came across too distorted, one scene would end and another would start straight up which kind of left me reeling due to it being over with in a blink of an eye instead of allowing the reader to stay in that moment.

The back bone of the story is all there it just needed to be developed further to allow for a better flow of the story. Instead we’re given a sentence here and a sentence there, it just lacked finesse, I think it would’ve worked better if it had’ve gone into her childhood history more, then her friendship with Elliot and then her failed relationship and that’s where all of the angst and emotional baggage she would’ve gone through would’ve seeped into the story and allowed me to connect with her character.

Like for instance we know she was raised in foster care only because it was stated in a one line sentence and that’s all we get, I would’ve liked to have read more about her childhood since she was the leading character in this book.

Others have really enjoyed this book going by high ratings for it but sadly it just wasn’t for me.

I love reading debut novels from an indie author. You never know what you're going to get and Andi Jaxon delivers a different spin on the stalker trope. I was engrossed from the beginning!

It centers on three people; Annabelle, her best guy friend Elliot and Pursurer.

Their friendship is sweet, cute and funny. But it's the POV from Pursuer that intrigued. Call me weird, I always love the psycho's the best. It was done brilliantly, oh, I loved that possessive bastard. I could have happily read more from his voice. He's unknown for a chunk of the book, and while his protective methods are a little off the cuff, I couldn't help but love him.

Quote: It was love at first sight. You may say that's not possible, but I felt it in the marrow of my bones. Every heartbeat after that said her name. Annabelle has been mine since that moment, even though she didn't know, still doesn't.

This is not your typical friends romance. Nor is it a typical dark romance.
It was a fun and steamy read for sure!

Craze by Andi Jaxon is the story of Annabelle along with her friend Elliot and 'someone' who is pursuing her. Annabelle and Elliot have been friends for a long time. Elliot thinks of Annabelle as more than a friend and seems to be in love with her. Annabelle hasn't felt that way about him until recently when she started looking at him differently. But to add to her mixed feelings is the sense someone is watching her and slips in at night to talk to her. This doesn't really upset her...growing up in the foster system she is used to strange things it seems.
This was a quick interesting story that I wanted to read in one sitting.

Craze was a well written story on a stalker with a twist. Annabelle is a young woman who cannot seem to find love, no matter how hard she tries, it eludes her and makes her feel unworthy. Thankfully, her best friend, Elliot, balances her and keeps her on an even keel, but they will always remain in the friend zone.
Enter a mysterious man who leaves notes and seems to be watching her intensely. She feels safer knowing that he is there.
I enjoyed this story very much!

OMFG!!! ANDI JAXON...You had me at "A Stalker That Takes Care Of Me"! This is the Second Book by Andi and always seems to Blow Me Away EVERY SINGLE TIME!
CRAZE is Suspenseful, Emotional and Compassionately Funny in All the Right Places!! The moment I started Reading the PROLOGUE, I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN!! Annabelle knows she has someone watching over her but cannot quite yet figure out WHOM! But as the time goes by, her Pursuer gets bolder and bolder until it gets the Best of HIM.
Elliot Rodgers has been Annabelle's Best friend since High school and secretly loves her but cannot "Man Enough" to tell her, even though watching her continuing dating "losers!"
I will NOT give out Any Spoilers because this Book is NOT for the Faint of Hearts because it deals with sensitive subjects & kinkiness. Also throughout the book, it has three POV's- Annabelle, Elliot & the Pursuer which is Witty and Raw.
CRAZE is Epically Beautifully written and it definitely will have your Panties and Hearts Melting by the end. A MUST READ BOOK FROM START to FINISH!!
WELL DONE Andi Jaxson....WELL DONE!!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
She’s never noticed me, no one ever does. I have found a way to disappear into the background, but my only desire is to dominate a woman, one specific woman.
It was love at first sight. You may say that's not possible, but I felt it in the marrow of my bones. Every heartbeat after that said her name.
Annabelle has been mine since that moment, even though she didn't know, still doesn't. She will come to understand the depth of our connection.
She just needs time. Even now, she sips her morning coffee at her kitchen table, as she dreams of her Prince Charming.
I am right here waiting; all she has to do is look out the window.
Craze did something that doesn't happen often - it took me completely by surprise. I expected a romantic suspense. It's unlike any stalker story that I've ever come across. I'll admit that in the beginning, I was pretty sure Annabelle was certifiable with the way she thought of her stalker, and some of the inner musings of the Pursuer walked a fine line between crazy and creepy, sometimes stepping over into both. However, as the story progressed and the Pursuer came closer and closer to revealing himself to Annabelle, it became erotic and mysterious. I did figure out the Pursuer's identity, but that didn't take anything away from my enjoyment of the story.
All in all, this erotic romance is a great combination of sweet, sexy, mysterious, and even a bit of funny thrown in at some well-timed moments.
A delicious blend of mystery and sensuality
I loved everything about Craze! The heat, the mystery and the stalking. This book is a delicious blend of mystery and sensuality. I liked the tricks that the author put into the story. It kept me guessing while excited as a flip the pages. I enjoyed the friendship that Annabelle and Elliot had in this story- the fun times and the slow build of their sensual intimacy. The sexual tension between Annabelle and her mysterious stalker (Pursuer) certainly raises the temperature!
I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a BDSM, hot stalker romance!
I want to give this book three stars, but I just can't. There were good moments, sexy ones, but the writing needs help, like not a professional editor, since we all know that's too pricey for an indie author, but simply better grammar that the author should know herself, especially when it comes to punctuation. I couldn't handle all the run-on sentences and misused apostrophes. I can handle a few slips here and there from starving artists, but this was chronic.
There were also things about the plot that didn't make sense to me. Like others have noted, it's really easy to figure out who the pursuer is, and I guess that's okay, but it was disappointing that you hear very little from or about the pursuer, since that's likely the main reason you're picking up the book in the first place. We learn about some random notes he leaves her, but most of what you read is all about Elliot. I felt that the story definitely picked up when Annabelle's interactions with Pursuer became physical, but there were times when even that didn't make sense. Like I guess it's always dark when he's there so they supposedly can't see each other, but the author describes her literally looking up at his face and taking a bath with him by candle light, and Pursuer describes seeing her cheeks turn red and other details about her body that you couldn't possibly discern in the dark. I just didn't see how Annabel wouldn't be able to identify who she was with under these circumstances, and that drove me crazy.
But what killed me most was the end. You're supposed to like Elliot, but he's a little obsessed with beating people up, and his behavior towards other women near the end of the book (the girl at the gym and the bartender) didn't cast him in a favorable light. I never enjoy when males we're supposed to like try to find solace in attempting to have sex with random women, even if he doesn't actually do it. But the worst part of all is Annabelle's behavior when she finds out who her stalker is. I guess it's supposed to be funny, but I thought it made her look like a lunatic and unworthy of the man who loves her, since she doesn't even seem to want him at that moment and would rather be with an asshole. I just found a lot of it weird, and not because she likes having a stalker. That's was the fun part. Or it should have been. But instead it was mostly about her and Elliot's weird relationship written in many run-on sentences. I wouldn't say this story was completely unenjoyable, but it could have been a lot better.
This book is a lot different than I first expected.
Annabelle definitely has a lot of sass and isn’t afraid to speak her mind. The only person that has truly cared about her is her best friend Elliot. He is always there for her when she needs him, but she has a huge secret. She has a stalker. This person is completely obsessed with Annabelle and knows that she is the one for him.
Annabelle loves that her stalker is watching her and always knows her every move, but she is growing impatient and she is ready for him to make his move. The stalker is a very dominant male and we get his POV quite a few times throughout the story.
At times, the book jumped around and skipped a lot, and I found myself kind of scratching my head wondering why certain things were there. But overall, it’s a pretty easy story to follow. I was actually excited to find out who the stalker was and it turned out to be really cute.
3.5 stars!
So, there are lots of good things about this story.
For one, it's not a typical story line that I have come across over and over again. It's a refreshing new idea.
Second- I don't know how you couldn't not LOVE Elliot. I really found myself falling for him from the beginning. I love a hero that knows the details about the girl that he is swooning over. He knows Annabelle so well since they've been friends forever.
Third - It's almost told from 3 POV. There's Annabelle, Elliot and the "Pursuer" which really seems neat. There are some flashbacks from their past as well.
I think my problems areas were the following -
The length of the story - I've always found it challenging to read short stories. I wish more time could have been taken to really dive into their past and their personalities. I think that with some more details and time to develop the storyline, it could have been a little better. At some points, I was finding myself a little bit confused and again I think if it were a longer story, that could have been alleviated. I look forward to more stories from this new author!
Craze is a debut novel by Andi Jaxon and I found the writing was good to really good at times. It’s short and I feel like I would have enjoyed it more if it were longer, as I didn’t really feel like I got to know the characters well enough. If you are looking for a short, sexy read you might enjoy this one. It’s different yet has a familiar feel, not overly emotional or angsty, it has a some funny and umm…moments that stuck with me.
Annabelle has been getting messages from a man who’s been watching her, she calls him Psycho, and he calls her Kitten. We don’t know who he is for a while. There are little clues and even some false leads, which makes it interesting. He’s a dominant claiming what’s his and has you excited for the reveal. Annabelle finds comfort by his notes and knowing he’s always watching, I found it a bit disturbing in a sexy kind of way.
I’d read this author again, I love reading debut authors and enjoy watching them grow as writers. Andi Jaxon is one to watch, I’m interested to see what she writes next.
I was so excited to get my hands on Craze by Andi Jaxon. This debut novel sets the bar for this indie author very high! This book was simply perfect. It hit the right levels of funny, suspenseful, and smoked hot!
Simply an incredible story here. The story-line is well thought out, the characters are well written and come off the pages, and the writing is fluid.
I seriously spent a lot of time questioning what just happened? Because there was so much going on and I didn't know what to think! Abby and Elliott were incredible characters! I'm sure everyone is going to wish they had a Pursuer too 😉
And their's my 4.5 Star Review 🙂
CRAZE by Author Andi Jaxon is one of the best romance books I have read so far this year. Wow, there’s not enough words I could possibly say that would do this book justice, but I will give it a try.
This is the first book that I have read from this author and I am completely hooked, like truly hooked. I have read it twice so far and I have yet to get bored. The characters omg I love them all. So first we meet Annabelle and I love her from the very beginning. She is a strong character, funny, smart and very relatable. She has some self esteem issues due to her past and because of her last I can relate to her a lot because I have gone through the same issue. I won’t go into details because I don’t want to spoil the story. Now her best friend Elliott wow he is an amazing support system for her and to top it off he will become your perfect book boyfriend. I feel in love with Elliott in 2.5 seconds and sometimes I wanted to smack Annabelle because Elliott is so perfect for her yet she couldn’t see it. Now let me get to the exciting part The Pursuer. Now I don’t want to say to much about this character but let just say for some he will either have you thinking what a creeper or like me the whole time I was like Oh I know who it is, then bam nope never mind, and then oh yeah I know, them dang it Andi got me stumped again. I will say as much as I should have been creeped out by The Pursuer, he was by far one of my favorite characters. He had my mind going the whole time and I kinda started loving him. CRAZE will have you hooked from the very first page to the last. It’s sexy, hot, and the characters are so well developed that you will fall in love with every single one of them. You will laugh, think holy crap didn’t see that coming, and I will give you some advice doesn’t start reading this at night because you will end up pulling an all-nighter just to find out who The Pursuer is.
“I’m going to kill him. How dare he touch what is mine. Even though she has had others, her heart has always been mine. Her heart longs for mine, as I long for her. I am sure he saw it in my eyes, but he has no idea what is coming to him when I get my hands on him. I will try my best not to kill him, but I do know some good places to hide a body. Lessons will be learned. Annabelle Kingston was born to be my wife, and come hell or high water I will make it so.” -The Pursuer
“Even when no one else is there, I will always be here.” -The Pursuer
Thank you, Andi, for writing such an amazing book, that had me up all night. You have a new fan for life.
Ok this is the debut of Andi Jaxon and what a way to show you know how to write!!
We have Annabelle and her best friend Elliot and Pursuer, ok this book totally threw me and is told in the POV of the pursuer.
The draw is obvious. She wants what he offers and you keep guessing what will happen but damn if it doesn't fldraw you in keeping you reading until the very last word wishing it could go on.
I can not wait to read more from Andi Jaxon.
It’s good. Read it.
The story is somewhat predictable but I think it’s just because I was rooting for the guy.... *shrug* but the twist was good because of his small form of MPD. I honestly wasn’t expecting that. I liked it though. It was entertaining enough and held my attention. Finished it in less than half a day.
CRAZE is an intriguing, super hot, sometimes funny story! It’s so much more than a friends to lovers romance; it’s a story about being cheated on, having a stalker and contains some sexy BDSM! Despite all of these different things going on, Jaxon somehow keeps the story streamlined. This was my first book by Jaxon and I was really impressed by how well she writes! I even laughed out loud at one point which is extremely rare for me!!! I will definitely be the reading more books by this author!
This book, y'all. This book will forever be embedded in my soul. It is absolutely everything I have ever wanted to read. I adored every single character. I devoured the story line. And I hung on every single syllable until the very end. Craze is probably the most appropriately titled book on the planet. The characters were in a craze. And I sure as hell was too.
Story Line: The story is centered around beautiful Annabelle (AB), her bestie Elliot, her affectionately nicknamed stalker - Psycho and AB's ex boyfriend. From a very early age, AB learned what it was like to feel discarded. She jumped from orphanage to orphanage until she basically aged out of the system. Along that treacherous path, she met Elliot. He became her rock and helped her through the tough times. Now, if you're thinking sweet, she's got this awesome guy to pull her out of the darkness and it's all going to be rainbows and kittens from here on out, you're sadly mistaken. Because for this girl's entire life, she has been thrown away. She has been a doormat with a never expiring return policy. That deep darkness is embedded in her soul and it's going to take a whole heck of a lot more than Elliot to start chasing that feeling of unwantedness away. Her dating record practically matches her upbringing. She finds a guy, thinks it's going great, then walks in on him banging some floozy on the kitchen counter. This girl. She may be a fiery red head with a witty personality and a strong backbone, but there's only so much one person can take.
Insert Psycho. Yes, he has an actual name. No, I'm not going to tell you. He's the guy she can feel watching her throughout the day. Yet, this mystery man will not make his appearance known. Once AB is single again, this guy's resolve cracks. He starts making his advances know. He interacts with her, yet never showing his face. And when I say they interact, oh mama. Do they ever. And through the physical pain and connection these two form on impact, the inner healing also begins. And as intense and kinky as it is, it is pure literary magic.
Interaction: AB is one of the most realistic character's I've ever read. She is so broken internally, yet tries so hard to be strong to the outside world. She has break downs, because she is only human. I'm sorry, but if I were her and had her upbringing? I would be in therapy sessions on the daily. No joke. This girl is my hero. And thank you baby Jesus that she has Elliot. This guy - not gonna lie, totally thought he was gay at first - is incredible. He knows what she needs before she even does. I mean, he runs out and gets her two tubs of ice cream after her most recent break up from douchy mc doucher pants. See what I mean? I'm pretty sure only my gay BF from high school would have done that for me. Definitely not any of my straight friends. But anyways. So there's AB and Elliot. And then there's AB and Psycho. I seriously do not think intense is a strong enough word to describe these two when then are together in the same room. Deep, passionate, extreme. Yes, yes and yes. They push boundary after boundary with one another and the heat is off the flipping charts.
Laundry: Ah, speaking of heat. You better grab a glass of wine or at least be sitting down for this. Psycho is totally dominant. He prefers things his way or no way at all. He likes it rough, he likes leaving marks, and it is H.O.T. I don't want to give away anything because I want y'all to be as blown away as I was with their chemistry. But, there are scenes in this book that I never saw coming and don't think I could have lived another day without reading them. I mean, the bathroom scene? The bathtub? Her bed? The list is endless. And it's all so deliciously naughty.
Depth: If you're wondering where the depth is coming from, you clearly have not been reading this review. He's a secret stalker. His identity is revealed. And when it is? Just be prepared to lift your jaw off the ground. AB has her guesses as to who it is, and none of them are right. So, before you go guessing and trying to figure out who it is before even reading the book - just stop. Don't do that to yourself. Pick up the book and find out for yourself. The story is perfect. The way it unfolds and twists and heals these characters. I kid you not, Craze is a book lovers dream come true novel. If I could give this book 10 stars I would. It's that good. But don't take my word for it, find out for yourselves. You'll agree with me. It's totally top 10 material.
♥♥ What is it about the psycho's that I love ♥♥
A solid 3.75 stars.
This debut novel from a new indie author had a lot of potential with the stalker trope we see in romance a lot these days. But it's no ordinary stalker which I found fascinating and kept me reading. To be honest I was in it for Pursuer♥♥ he was dark, possessive, so damn obsessed with the heroine that I wondered if we were going to get a happy ending at all and maybe a little murdery lol. I would have liked more development with him and how the heroine just accepted and fantasized about this guy long before she knew who it was. All in all it was a short enjoyable read and I look forward to what this indie author brings next.
“It looks like I’m daydreaming, but I’m really thinking about him”
Annabelle knows she is being watched, and has done since she first started college, “When life would get hard, when I felt like I couldn’t take anymore, I would feel him, keeping watch.”
Strangely enough, I’m not as disturbed as I thought I should be, that she was comfortable being watched by this unknown person. But, I have to say, they were rather generous and attentive, and with her background, of child abandonment and bullying, the constant watchfulness was comforting to her.
She also has Elliot who has been her best friend since High School. He hates the losers that she goes out with, and being the gentle and quiet soul that he is, and an accountant to boot, he doesn’t believe she could be interested in him. What he offers is unconditional friendship as always, especially after her long term boyfriend cheated on her. So, helping her move her stuff – again.
There was a WTF did I just read moment at one point, and even with the character’s own POV, still remained a WTF moment in my view!!! Although it did ramp tensions up somewhat between Belle and her best friend, even to the point of awkwardness, I wondered if they could get together. Elliot has loved her forever, but, I couldn’t imagine what the ever present stalker would make of that, if he knew or found out.....
My 4-star rating says that this book is not for me, although I quite enjoyed it. There’s steam in there for sure! It’s not badly written, and it’s certainly not a bad story, I just couldn’t get into the idea of Annabelle being comforted by her stalker and his gifts. Andi Jaxon is a new to me author, and I decided to take part in a release and advanced reader promotion for her book. This is also a genre I generally don’t read, but, if this is something you do enjoy, I firmly believe that you should give Ms Jaxon’s book a go – she just might be your next auto-one-click author!
Quite a unique story line and quite an enjoyable read. What you have is a very strong independent woman who has had a pretty rough childhood. She is smart, beautiful and has overcome the bullying that she has had to endure during high school. She has her best friend Elliot who has been with her during those hard time until this point. Annabelle and he are a close as two can be without being physical. She doesn't see him that way, he has loved her for many years. She doesn't notice his affection for her, but one day she does notice his physical attributes and begins to wonder about him, but quickly puts that aside. There is someone else, someone who watches her, how has been watching her for years. Someone who wants her, who cares about her, who sends her things, notes reminding her that he is always there for her and one day she will be his. She isn't creeped out about this, she welcomes it, wonders about him and when she will finally meet her secrete stalker. Things begin to happen, he visits, at night, sitting in her room talking to her, making her feel what he can and will do to her and then leaves. She's confused, but she wants him. He wants to dominate her and to have her submit to him. She desires him and what he brings to her.
I will no go any further because you will have to find out who this mystery man is by reading this book and what a read you will get. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and I highly recommend it to everyone.
A Dark Romance with a twist. If you like Dark Romances, and ones that keep you guessing till the end then this book is for you; It has BDSM themes and scenes. If you don’t like that then this isn’t the book for you.
Craze will keep you guessing throughout. Annabelle looking for love, while being stalked, and maintaining her friendship with her best friend. It sucks you in from the start, keeps you guessing, and page turning to find all the answers.
I loved Annabelle’s sass and fierceness. Even though she has a stalker that has been prominent in her life for many years she doesn’t let that stop her. She continues looking for love, even though she has a stalker. Annabelle never stops living her life and searching for more. I find the main characters and their relationship endearing. Andi does a great job making you relate to Annabelle throughout when her feelings about being lovable. The feelings throughout the whole book are relatable. Then when it turns darker, I found myself being able to fully visualize what Andi was trying to convey.
Well crafted dark romance with a twist. If you like Dark Romances, and ones that keep you guessing till the end then this book is for you. It was BDSM themes and scenes, if you don’t like that then this isn’t the book for you.
If you like twists, turns, BDSM, and love then this book is absolutely the right choice. – A Wild About Romance Review
