- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 27 June 2019The story pulled me along and now I am eager to know more about Elenore's back story.... what will the police find, what will happen to Elenore and who is her captor.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 29 March 2018I was sent this book in an email provided by a service that sends me discounted books etc and this cover immediately caught my attention and I didn’t hesitate to buy it. I then went onto Goodreads and it was a different, lighter cover so good call for the remodel of the cover as this new one definitely sells the story!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 8 March 2018I had high expectations for this book but to be honest it didn’t live up to what I had hoped it would be. Disappointing.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 19 August 2018Really enjoyed this book
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 20 September 2017Wow! What a beginning!
This is the first book in this series....
It is quick and addicting read..
The suspense of knowing someone is watching her, waiting for his moment..
Not knowing who it is, "the captor" not revealing himself to her...
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 20 September 2017Well what a tortuous, dark and at times truly disturbing book this is …I can not honestly say I enjoyed this story but I was riveted by it...there is sheer desolation in the life of Elenore….her bleak painful childhood which she survives, a challenging work environment in which she thrives…only to find herself in the hands of an anonymous deadly psychopath…this is a truly disquieting read..
There are three perspectives providing the narrative: Elenore relates her side of events and right from the start it is apparent she is in some serious trouble…the Captor provides a chilling view of his compulsive mindset; he is one very sick guy who appears to have no humanity or empathy and finally there is Roman and his alternative world view…
This is a book that demands to be read without spoilers or long explanatory notes so I shall conclude by saying I was completely blown away with this first in the series which is proving to be an addictive suspenseful thriller…. inevitably it ends in a shocking cliffhanger with no hint of what the future holds…there are so many avenues that this story can and probably will venture down….the wait will seem long until the next installment but I am confident it will be worth it…I received an ARC of this book from the author

5.0 out of 5 stars just when her life was looking up it comes tumbling down like a house of cards
Dear Captor the first in Letters in Blood series, WOW!
Truly this dark story had me hanging on every word.
Elenore has been through hell, just when her life was looking up it comes tumbling down like a house of cards.
Detective Roman Blackwood, just when he found her Elenore is gone.
Will he find her in time?
Liz’s characters are beautifully written, compelling story and I look forward to With Love the second book in this series.
*Elenore*
Not me, though – he kept me.
One letter change my destiny of certain death.
It was never in me to give up easily.
I’ve always been a fighter.
He never saw me coming, and never knew my strength.
He was not what I expected either.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved it
I was hooked. There's not much more to say. The letter concept was captivating, and I couldn't get enough of the kidnapper character. If you feel the same way and instantly fell in love with them, let's be friends. The book left me wanting more and more. I highly recommend getting the entire series because I know you won't be able to put it down, just like me.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow great
I love psychological romance terror. Am I twisted? Yes, maybe but it calls to me . To start out tortured and find love yup that’s for me.

4.0 out of 5 stars Captivating
I found this book to be interesting. It pulled me in quickly. It became obvious in the first few pages who the captor was. The reader goes through this book just wanting Elle to realize who she's dealing with.
The writing was decent. It became clear that the author wasn't familiar with some American words even though the setting was New York. I would suggest to the author to maybe research that. Americans don't tend to refer to things the way she wrote them so it made the storytelling feel robotic at times. If the setting is in America, then I feel like the dialogue should match. This goes for anywhere. If it were in the UK, the dialogue should match. Australia. Japan. Wherever. Match it up.
I'm hoping the character development takes off. For 99 cents, the book is worth it.
