Taking her is my right. Breaking her, my duty. I was always going to choose Helena. I knew it the instant I saw her. She’s different than the others. There’s a darkness about her. Something wild inside her. And it calls to the beast inside me. But she isn’t what I expect. With every word and every touch, she pushes me, burrows deep under my skin, challenging the rules, upending history. And all the while, I see how my brother watches her. He wants her, and as the rules stand, she’ll become his in one year’s time. Except that I have no intention of giving her up.

This was the second book in the dark duet series and once again I loved it! I was kept guessing through out most of the book. There were so many secrets between the Willow family and the Scafoni, and during this instalment we get to learn them all!
The chemistry between Sebastian and Helena was so hot! The thing is though in this book, there is Sebastian’s brother Gregory that gets thrown in the mix too. I will forewarn readers that if threesome action isn’t to your liking, you may want to sit this one out! I won’t go into details but there are some explosive scenes between the three characters!

This is a dark romance.. there are scenes that aren’t going to be to everyone’s liking. For me, I thought this duet was very well done. I found it to be suspenseful and mysterious at times. After reading these two books by this author, I am definitely going to be checking out more!

One more thing... I would love to beg the author to pleeeease give Gregory a book!In fact, I have my own suspicions about where another book could take us and with whom!!! I truly hope what I am thinking will come to be! My fingers are crossed!!! Maybe even my toes!!🤣🤣

Torn by Natasha knight is the second book in the dark duet series and it was a great end the the series as I was in two minds about the first book being similar to another series but this one set it apart.
The were answers about the two families which we never knew in the first book and It's a hell of a lot more steamer than the first 😉.
I found this one to be a little more emotional and the happy ever after was the one we all wanted.
I just hope there is a book for Gregory the brother and for Amy the sister as we are left hanging with 'what the hell ' .
If you're looking for something a little darker but extremely naughty then I recommend these two book 😉

Torn by Natasha Knight
GENRE: Dark Romance
NARRATION: Dual POV
BOOK DETAILS: Book 2 of the Dark Legacy Duet

MY THOUGHTS:
This is the second book in the Dark Legacy duet and is one of those books you fight to put down, the suspense, the anticipation and holy smokes the heat! it just builds and builds, and you just can’t stop! I was literally growling at anyone who disturbed me whilst reading this.

Did I mention the heat? Because this story gets damn HOT! I am not going to divulge any details as I don’t like spoilers but get your hand fans ready for this one!

Gregory, Sebastian’s youngest brother plays a significant role in Torn and I wanted more of him. I hope Natasha gifts him his own story after this. He is the bad boy you love to hate!

Sebastian and Helena’s face some pretty hard obstacles in Torn but their relationship strengthens and grows given them a well deserves HEA.

This dark taboo romance story is my favourite series to date from Natasha and I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us next!

description Hmmm...I am not really sure what to say about this book. I loved the first one, but this one just went in a very bizarre direction. The whole Sebastian, Helena, Gregory triangle was odd and felt forced. Maybe had the book ended differently It would have made more sense, but with the book ending the way it did it just seemed a bit pointless, and completely out of character for Sebastian. It was also a bit disappointing that it takes 80% into the book before we get any forward movement on the baddies situation, and when we finally do, it was super anticlimactic.

So yea, I was a bit disappointed in the book. Maybe my expectations got the better of me after how much I enjoyed the first book...c'est la vie.description

SIDE NOTE: I have a bad feeling the author was leading us to a Gregory/Amy pairing, and I really hope that is not going to be the case. I HATE sibling sharing. I mean, who wants to have sex with a guy who had your sister first? *shiver*

I loved Taken and I was so excited to read this one, but after reading a spoiler I'm gonna skip this book, I'm so disappointed! So fucking done with authors writing about possessive alpha males and then all over sudden they are able to share their women? Like WTF? Especially with his brother, I'm disgusted!

Audiobook review. What a ride! Sebastian and Helena have a very unique relationship. The role Gregory plays is even more intense and blurred than ever before. To say I was hooked on this duet is an understatement. I loved every dark and twisted little moment.

The plot was very interesting, with elements that were new to me. It went a little deeper this time than with book one and strengthened the bond and chemistry. The pace and prose we excellent. Characterization was balanced, good people doing bad things and the opposite in a way.

The narrators, Michael Pauley and Mackenzie Cartwright, were once again phenomenal. The intensity that Michael injects into his portrayal of Sebastian is so vivid. I was awed. Mackenzie was exactly who Helena should’ve been. The casting was fantastic. There were no complaints with their performance. Solid from beginning to end.

An incredible ending to an amazing duet. In this book, secrets are revealed and truths are told but love conquers all. Taken was an intense and amazing book that ended in a cliffhanger. I was on pins and needles waiting for Torn to come out. Once I started reading it, I could not stop until I finished. The chemistry between Sebastian and Helena is off the charts. These two broken, jaded souls are perfect for each other. There is so much emotion in this book, so much tension, so much heartbreaking revelations. Grab your copies of the Dark Legacy Duet , you seriously will not regret your decision!

The Willow girls have been the property of the Scafoni men since the beginning when Maruis Willow took his bride, Annabelle Scafoni. Helena is the last quadruplet Willow girl to be given over. Forced/sold yes sold by her family to a Scafoni for his choosing out of all the quadruplets into a life she didn't ask for. All this ruse did for the oldest Scafoni brother was pit them against each brother for centuries, a tradition of the oldest to get his inheritance once he takes a Willow girl and forfeiting it if he doesn't to the next brother in line, and daughter against mother. This actual destroyed both families in the process over who would keep the Willow girl.

This was no different Sebastian owned Helena and Gregory wanted her so brother against brother in a power struggle of who would win Helena heart. The only thing that left me curious and wanting more was Helena sister Amy where did she go and who was her new benefactor, did Gregory finally have his own Willow girl? The ending didn't clear any of these questions and left me wanting a story for Amy & Gregory.

’TORN’ Is the second full length, dark romance novel in N. Knights ‘Dark Legacy’ Duet. It picks up right where the previous book ended. This is told in dual POV. With MFM, MF scenes.

As most of you will know Taken ended on one hell of a cliffhanger. The anticipation was killing me waiting for the release of Torn to come out. Come release day I was one clicking this as fast as I could.

As soon as I started reading, it took me back to why I loved ‘Taken’ so much. The Willow girls and the Scafoni men have been tied through lies and deception together from generation to generation.

The Willow girls have been the property of the Scafoni men since the beginning of time. Helena is the last Willow girl to be given over. Forced into a life she didn't ask for. Brother pitted against brother for centuries, destroying both families in the process, daughter against mother.

Take the Willow Girl
Break her
That was the plan
Destroy a life like we Scafoni men do.
Destroy our own in the process
I wasn't supposed to fall in love with her.

The heat factor in this book was off the charts hot, it sizzled off the pages, a riveting page-turner
of power play between the two brothers, who would win Helena's heart kept chanting away in the background. How would all this end?

It left me panting for more of Gregory, and I'm left hoping we do get to read more about his character, maybe a chance meeting between him and the next Willow sister takes place?

Highly expected conclusion to the Dark Legacy Duet and now that I have finished it, I am all over the place with mixed feels...

damn, I am so overwhelmed and confused with the psychological turmoil heightened with emotional bursting I was re-living with the heroine, Helena Willow

She's such a complexity, she seems weak and yet she's so humanly real, with all her flaws, naivety, vulnerability and resolution...she accepts the situation she's in and she makes the best of it or at least she is trying to...she never thought her worst enemy would actually turn her world on its axis and alter it forever...in the most unexpected of ways....
I don't understand my feelings for him. I don't understand this confusion of emotions, this warring inside me.

the twisted game they played taking in the dubious "Scafoni rules" regarding the sharing ot the Willow Girl, so Sebastian could hold the control over his brother's actions towards Helena, and yet the interactions between the three, not only escalated in the carnal sexual tension but also grew deeper and complex and hard to understand or handle...
...there's something wrong with us, Willow Girls...that we want it. Like this. That I want you. Still. After everything, I want you.

I think we all have sickness. The Willow Girl sickness....No matte what, we want the Scafoni bastards.

with the only solution to end it all, if one of them took the fall - the ultimate sacrifice to break the curse of the next generations reeping...
When this is over, I'll still want you. I love you. And I'm warning you to run like fucking hell because you're right. This isn't going to end well for you. For me. For any of us.

As fucked up as it is, this is the saddest part of all of this.

and the fall out came as unexpected and yet, somehow, I was rooting for it to happen that way...it wuldn't be the full circle if it didn't...and yet, I feel like I m missing this little part of me, that went with it...

by also developing simpathy for Gregory, the youngest brother, even if I didn't intend to do it...LOL, it happened...

all in all, this duet might be the best Natasha Knight has written so far, concerning the complexity of turmoiling emotional and psychological twists and turns these characters go though.

It's riveting, it's messed up, it's horrifyingly captivating and mesmerizing, it's also deep in its complexity. Nothing is clear, the lines are blurred, the emotions are heightened, the senses are pulled towards the edges of sensitivity and yet completion is found on the very brinks of existing., there has never been more appropriate title than this one - TORN - utterly describing the very essence these characters feel through out this story.

This story took a left turn and I'm not sure how I feel about it. After riding the high from the first book, I thought the idea of me loving this conclusion was all but guaranteed, however, my love was proven elusive.

Don't get me wrong, as you can see by my high rating, there was plenty to like about this part of the story. The relationship between Sebastian and Helena was just as toxic and exciting as ever. She still asked too many questions and acted too big for her britches and Sebastian still let her get away with it for the most part. I guess that's what love will make you do.

I can't get her out of my head. Out from under my skin. I can't get enough of touching her, can't get close enough to her, not even when I'm buried deep inside her.

Their future happiness suffered a glitch - Sebastian's brother, Gregory, wanted his turn with the Willow girl. Sebastian didn't want to give her up at the end of his year. He didn't want to watch her with his brother. His solution: share her. And while these scenes were incredibly hot, I lost my connection with the characters. Sebastian was hurting everyone with his actions and the one person I felt terrible for was Gregory. This poor little man just wanted something. He was full of turmoil and ache, and really who could blame him considering his upbringing, and his brother was teasing him with what he couldn't have. Damn him!

I'm not sure what I was expecting with this ending. I wanted the characters to be redeemed and I wanted them to be whole in their love for one another, but I also would have liked a bit more torment. I wanted Helena to suffer more because I don't believe she suffered enough. Her mouth got on my nerves and I don't know how it didn't get on theirs. Her behavior was atrocious and I found nothing attractive about her, but I loved the ways the Scafoni brothers played with her. I guess I wanted more of that.

“When this is over, I’ll still want you. I love you. And I’m warning you to run like fucking hell because you’re right. This isn’t going to end well for you. For me. For any of us.”

Second Installment in the duet, Torn starts off where the maddening end of Taken left us. With Lucinda still the troll we knew her to be, the entroductory scenes plunge us right away into the darkeness .

But there was also such a sudifferent vibe to this book!!! It was really surprising and never would I have expected these turns of events. And in that matter, the title is pure perfection. TORN. That is exactly how the characters felt, and by extension, how I felt. Torn between what should be done and what is expected (I'm not telling you which is which, though). Torn between the rivalry and the jealousy of the brothers. And then Torn between Helena's contradictory emotions.

"Life isn't fair."

I know I'm being vague but it would be disappointing to have the plot spoiled when it's so neatly and thoroughly executed. The author played with the angst and the growing suspense all along. From the beginning of the series I was pretty sure I wouldn't ever fall in love with Sebastian, least of all Greg, but eventually Natasha's talent worked wonders and her anti-heroes eventually grew on me, until my heart broke for Greg, and pounded at the idea of Sebastian. Helena stayed strong and I'm glad the Scafoni didn't tarnish her beautiful mind. I absolutely loved the way she adapted and her resilience. They ALL are incredibly interesting characters, multi layered and Torn by both families, the Willows and the Scafonis, the weight of their history and traditions.

"I'm angry at all of them. [...] I can't forgive them. Not yet. Maybe not ever."

I hope that you ladies will take as much pleasure reading this gritty, sexy (hell, who am I kidding?) scorching hot and raw conclusion as I did! Enjoy!

Twisted, part two…

A long-standing family tradition has mired two families in decades of expectations, met and endured. On the surface, these characters are churning in turmoil and desire. Underneath there is even more percolating. Each conversation, each physical act, is a deceptively simple dance that I was never sure would explode or simply morph into another nuance of their journey.

This author knows how to push me until I don’t believe can take any more. Then… She goes one step further and I find my limit once again moving not by an inch but by a really long mile! This duet has confused me. Confused, perplexed and mesmerized even as I’ve enjoyed every twist and turn. I’ve embraced the darkness this author reveals in her characters, in her stories, as they open up a world of circumstances outside my comfort zone. Another great series that didn’t feel long enough – even as my heart wasn’t sure it would survive another page… ~Diane, 4.5 stars

"I have never wanted anything or anyone as badly as I want you."

Torn is the second book in the Dark Legacy Duet. To make sense of the chaos in this world, you must read the first book Taken. Helena is in danger, and Sebastian is desperate to get her back. However, he knows the price to pay to keep her is certain to bring more heartbreak and destruction to his Willow Girl. With the Scafoni curse always threatening to tear them apart, Sebastian doubles down and fights with all he has to keep his Willow girl.

description
"The three of us. Like this. As long as she's mine to give."
Told in dual POV, Torn is a dark and delicious read full of passion and suspense. As the dynamics between the Scafoni brothers unfold, Helena finds herself in the middle (literally) of their family drama. I found that I enjoyed every single second of this read because it was evident that Sebastian will do whatever it takes to keep Helena safe and secure by his side. Helena continues to transform into a strong woman who refuses to bend. The passion between the THREE is addictive, and the love between Helena and Sebastian is able to withstand trauma and strife every single step of the way!

"...what I'm feeling, it's twisted. It makes no sense."
Overall, Torn will appeal to readers who enjoy a dark romance with plenty of intrigue and action. I had no idea what I was getting into when I picked up this series, and I think it is safe to say I am officially a Natasha Knight Convert. I will certainly be on the lookout for more Knight goodness to come!

I couldn't wait to start this book after the way things ended in Taken, but unfortunately, it just didn't draw me in the way the previous book did. It was still dark and sexy, but I think the addition of the sibling "rivalry" and all that entailed was too much for me. It just didn't feel necessary to take the story in that direction and I felt like it was added just for the sake of drama. Maybe I just don't read enough dark romance to fully appreciate the story, but it made me uncomfortable and confused more than anything. The book felt disjointed and some plot points weren't fully explained, or if they were, it was with a simple sentence or two. The ending/epilogues didn't seem to mesh with the rest of the book/story and seemed to be more about setting up possible future books. I also never felt like Sebastian redeemed himself/atoned and his actions at the end were very uncharacteristic. This was still an entertaining read and I was invested enough in Sebastian and Helena's story to finish it, but sadly, the conclusion just didn't hit the mark for me.

You will not be disappointed.

Yay. 5stars. Torn continues on from Taken but what grew from this continuation is, basically Sebastien and Gregory. The bond they have with each other is basically a bond of the Scarfoni, but they also have a connection and I wanted so much more from them as brothers. I also did find a little lagging for me was their *coughs* threeeeeesomes (winks). A love triangle? But, the story itself wasn't as dark as the first book probably a little tamer lol (to me) and it still has the unknown the mysterious of the traditions, but it tugs at your heartstrings with the interactions of Sebastien, Helena and Gregory. Hot. Hot. Hot.

I all am just the taking on the whole concept that of Helena and what she didn't want, which was, falling in love and with Sebastien even though he was somewhat of an a$$ and using her against his brother, but honoring the Scarfoni tradition made it harder and boy did he have a fight on his hands with Gregory. Lol. I love the alpha male in them.

Helena, although I got a bit tedious of her didn't go down fighting she has spunk. Now, I'm more curious if Gregory will have his own book and the secrecy of Amy.

This is a conclusion to Helena and Sebastian's story.
good plot development and chemostry between them was nice. The whole plot is about how to save Helena and the solution that's there weather its good enough to go with that. Here we get to see more of Gregory which was a bonus as I am so curious to read about him.
overall this was a good one.

I know some didn't love the 2nd book, but I enjoyed this entire duet. Since I'm kinda of a spoiler junkie (I'm not a fan of surprises), I knew going in that the brothers were going to share her, and I thought it was hot as fuck.

I'm not sure I would consider this book "dark". Definitely super gritty with a little dark involved.... This book also wasn't true BDSM, but it had a dom/sub vibe in my opinion. There are punishments if she doesn't do what she is told. Sebastian basically owns Helena.

I won't lie, I didn't love Helena as much in this book, but only because I wanted her to trust Sebastian more. I have said it before and I will say it again. YOU CAN'T LOVE WITHOUT TRUST!! Argue with me if you fucking want, but I won't listen. If you can't trust someone then you don't truly love them. You might be infatuated, lusting the fuck out of them, but love...nope.....sorry it just isn't happening.

Now aside from that little tidbit this was a great ending and incredible duet. The audio was awesome on both of these and the story had me so enthralled I couldn't even do anything except sit and listen. A lot of questions were answered and I have a feeling more will be answered in Gregory's story.

I'm glad it brought me back to the darker side of romance. I'll definitely be checking out more of this authors books.

"I stole her out of her life and forced her into mine."

Holy Crap. I thought I was ready after reading the craziness and utter brilliance of Taken but I seriously was NOT prepared for Natasha Knight's Torn. This author legit killed it as I am left gasping for breath and wanting more. I absolutely loved the conclusion to Sebastian and Helena's story!! After that crazy ending in Taken, Helena is trying to take back her life and rewrite her path as a Willow Girl but she could never have prepared for the ride she and the Scafoni brothers are put through!!

Good Lord this book can only systematically be categorized as INTENSE FIRE. No other words can describe it. Torn was absolutely amazing and I never wanted it to end.Without giving away any spoilers, just when you think the fast-paced adrenaline-filled ride was over...BOOM..this author just flat out knocks you on your back once again. I LOVED Torn as it was the perfect ending to Helena and Sebastian's story. True to Natasha Knight's writing style, Torn was deliciously dark, erotic and filled with high tension-emotional and sexy moments. Sebastian and Helena were everything and the second part to their story was the perfect conclusion as we see both Helena and Sebastian trying to come to terms with their relationship and their future as a Willow girl and a Scafoni boy and the legacies that destroyed their families for generations.

What can I say that I haven't already said about this series and this author? This story was epic and brilliant and I devoured this sexy duet as fast as possible. Natasha Knight is truly one of the most gifted authors and I seriously can't wait for more! Bravo! 5 stars! ~Ratula

How the previous book ended with that cliffy I needed to start this one as soon as possible!

This one was a bit less dark but so so steamy!! Not what I normally love to read, but I understood it. At the end it also hurted me a bit to see Gregory so.. I'm excited to see how his story will go and what happening in the meantime with Amy!

Even though it wasn't high on darkness I still sat on the tip of my seat while reading some parts!
I felt for Gregory as well, it isn't easy being the youngest and then seeing all that.

In Torn we have the continuation of the story of Helena and Sebastian and I must say that it was not anything I was expecting. When the book ended on that hook I was hoping to go a completely different direction from what I came across here. I expected more conflicts, action that I didn't find here.On the contrary I saw the story revolve around the relationship between Helena, Sebastian and a third character. Which discouraged me a little.

The story is definitely dark, with complex characters, fucked relationships, But some things bothered me in this book, which made this book a little hard for me to finish.I know in books of this genre questionable attitudes are taken and it's fiction, plus I did not get to like the direction this book took and the relationship between the characters.

But don't let the fact that this was not my favorite book discourage you from reading, after all what may have been a problem for me reading this book may not be for you.

Unfortunately my opinion of Sebastian does not improve in Torn. My hard limit is completely exploited in this story. I understand completely the story is fiction but I don’t believe their love and commitment are real because of what they allowed to happen.

I cannot in good conscience offer a fair and impartial rating of this story. My emotions took a nosedive early on in the story and unfortunately did not improve with the sexy intimate scenes or anything else. The “situation” in this story is not typical Knight material thank the book gods! It is my hope we will get back to the REAL WORLD where true alpha men exist.

3 stars!

Minor Spoilers so read at your own risk.

Not quite sure how to rate this. Maybe 3 Stars, maybe 4 Stars, so I will settle for 3.5 Stars. It all depends on whether there are more books to come because while this duet has ended, there are too many unanswered questions. I think the author set the stage for 2 other characters to have their own books (and possibly a romance?), because there is so much more we need to figure out with Gregory, Amy, and Lucinda. Also, I still want to know who was the man on the boat with the cigarette who helped Lucinda with her kidnapping efforts??? I also want to know what was up with Lucinda and why she had such hatred for the Willow girls. It was never fully explained (beyond the obvious) and her overall anger and abuse towards both the Willow girls and the Scafoni boys doesn't match up. Why was she such a disciplinarian? She wasn't attractive and she married her sister's husband shortly after her sister died, and that was never explained. Plus there is the whole question of Ethan's father. She said she wasn't jealous about the sex part of the Willow girl situation with her husband because she didn't need a man, but yet her actions don't match her words, and who was she sleeping with to have a child if it wasn't her husband? And did she even love her husband, who was her sister's husband first and she knew he loved her and obviously had trouble dealing with her death? And why was Sebastian's father so weak when it came to Lucinda when he loved his first wife and even Libby Willow? Why would he allow her to beat his sons and Libby? None of this was explained so for me to really feel satisfied, I would need to have those questions answered.

This book could be labeled as dark, but to me there were just some dark parts and it flirted with darkness more than it actually crossed over the edge. I was a bit disappointed by that, but the storyline was interesting and it kept me engaged. There were some twists that I didn't see coming, but I can't say they necessarily played out in a way that satisfied my curiosity or lived up to the build up of the first book. The resolution didn't quite hit the mark for me, but I feel like there is going to be another book with some of the other characters that I would hope would answer some of these questions. That being said, since this duet is finished, I can't rate it based on speculation about future books and the hope that my questions will be answered.

Torn by Natasha Knight - 10 stars

Sitting here and staring at the screen trying to figure out how to write the review for this book and honestly I am torn because there is SO much I want to say and yet I just want you to pick up the book and read it already.

Torn is book 2 in the Dark Legacy duet and should NOT be read before book 1 Taken.
Let me tell you that these books are on the “dark” side and may be considered as “unconventional” but if you have an open mind and are prepared to have your mind blown away by the amazing and phenomenal story line with magnificent writing than look no further, this is your lucky day.

The story picks off right where we were left with the cliffhanger in Taken and the pace is on the steady/fast side with no dull moment in sight.
From the first page to the very last THE END you will be glued to this book.
Completely impossible to put down and once you’re done you will still crave for more.

Let’s talk about the awesomeness that are Sebastian Scafoni and his feisty Helena
“Willow Girl” but also the mysterious brother Gregory Scafoni.
My poor Ipad almost overheated by their hot hot and I do mean HOT connection that was all over this book and trust me when I say panties are waste of time in this case.
I would definitely put this one right up with “The Hottest Books Ever” simply because it is.

The tension and urge to find “the way out” from the mess they all are in is so compelling and thrilling and have you turn those pages like they were on fire.
It was so well written and thought out it blew my mind away and now when I’m done it feels like I am missing a part of me.
I never wanted this book to end and will be re-reading the duet very shortly again.

I can’t say that I “loved” this book because the feeling is stronger than that.
Natasha Knight sure knows how to write her dark bad boys with strong heroines and that gets to me each and single time, but this duet is at the very top of her books for me.
If this was a movie it would be on a massive repeat for my taste.

I truly hope you give these books a shot because you need to experience the great quality of a book like this on your own.
The highest recommendations on my part.

This was book 2 in "Dark Legacy Duet" series. This book picks up where book one left off. Helena has been kidnapped by Lucinda and Ethan she was beaten and left to die. This sex scenes in this book were hot between Helena, Sebastian and his brother Gregory #3. Although I liked this book it wasn't as dark as the first one also I felt that Lucinda got off way to easy for what she did not just to Helena but also her son Ethan. Sebastian tried everything he could to find a way to keep Helena for himself he doesn't want to give her to his brother. You could see both of them falling in love. This book went from being dark romance to being erotic romance, which was fine with me. I did have problems with Sebastian sharing her with his brother to control him. I also didn't like that the book was starting to feel like it was going to turn into a paranormal. The ending of this book was kind of a let down although I wasn't expecting what happened between Gregory and Sebastian. I was glad that she did what she wanted to do when she first got to the island. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling.

Natasha Knight write the type of dark romance I adore, ensuring I’ll always come back for more. Although I did not enjoy Taken, the first book in the Dark Legacy duet, as much as I have enjoyed other Natasha Knight books, it did leave me eager to see how the duet concluded. Thus, I was happy to dive into Torn.

Torn certainly had me turning the pages to see how everything came together, ensuring I powered through the book. Although the book was addictive, I did not love it quite as much as I had hoped to. It certainly ensured I would read the spin-off, but it does not make it into my top three Natasha Knight reads.

I think the reason I wasn’t crazy about this one is that there was too much left open. There were so many things from the first one that I wanted to see more about, and we never got the details. In fact, a lot of the things I wanted to find out more about was skipped over. Even though I know there is a spin-off, I fear there were too many things left hanging for everything to be explained in the spin-off.

Thus, while I enjoyed this one, I wasn’t crazy about it.
