    I received the book as an ARC. This book is so captivating. Angelina was just a young girl. Tino is a mafia king and much older than Lina. He is also very obsessed with her.

    Her father was killed and without her knowledge controls her life. As she grows up Tino's son comes into the picture and makes a move on her. Now Tino has to put his plan into motion. This story has so many twists and turns to keep you wanting to read the next page.

    This is a new author to me, but I have to say that she has left me wanting more. This was interesting throughout the entire book. I even found myself cheering on Tino in parts of the story even though he did some questionable things. In the end, his love for Lina was true and I couldn't see her with anyone else.

    Great story from start to finish! I will definitely seek out more of her books.

    I absolutely loved this book! It’s a dark romance and normal rules don’t apply. It might be wrong according to normal love rules but love doesn’t always make sense. The story of Angel and Tino will always be one I will return to over and over again. I was rooting for them from the beginning. Most people I know wouldn’t even finish this book but I could NOT put it down. Yes, it’s got stalking and some pretty messed up scenes but it made the darkness in myself happy. This is, quite honestly, my second favorite dark romance book.

    I literally read this book in one day. I had to take breaks to work but I finished it in less than 12 hours. I would definitely recommend this book!

    After reading Italian Marriage I jumped right into The Italian Obsession. In this one, we get a very young woman that is watched but not touched until she is closer to 18. I wouldn't read this book if a huge age gap or having a stalker is a problem.

    Tino is a man obsessed with his girl, when he kills her father and watches over her for years to make sure she is well taken care of, there is literally nothing he wouldn't do for his next wife. He is not a nice man at all so don't misconstrue what he is doing as being so, everything he is doing is for his own selfish reasons.

    Angelina has known that she has a stalker, she has felt him for years. But no one believes her and so she just keeps the gifts and feelings to herself anymore. But when she gets a new love interest and he is threatened, Tino and his son (her new love interest) promise to get to the bottom of it.

    I loved this story. Tino and Angelina are a couple that is a slow burn, there is no sex right away. But the tension that you feel throughout this book keeps you going. Highly enjoyed that.

    Had I known this book was about rape and sexual abuse I would never have chosen it. My personal opinion is a good author can right a great book without sex and sexual abuse. Once you get into sex and sexual abuse to me the author looses their focus. I believe this could have been a better book without the rape. I will not choose another book by this author. I have read a lot of excellent mafia books without rape. This really is nor a mafia book it's more focused on stalking, father and son along with rape, stalking and sexual abuse. There is no mafia action to this book. Very misleading.

    Before reading this book take note of the trigger warnings as it can seriously mess with your mind.

    I enjoy the Mafia age gap troupe and wasn't disappointed with this story however, it is darker than the usual Mafia stories. There were times when I wondered if the next page would take the story outside of my comfort zone altogether but H did wait until she reached 18 before enacting on his obsession.
