okay I'm just gonna throw the main plot of the story... Our H, Enzio killed his twin brother, Cosimo married his wife, Bianca and claimed hisnephew Mario as his son. so there, yet there's a lot more in the story than the public eye. This story is full of hatred, secrets and betrayal. the writing style is great, the main plot is interesting and intriguing for me, the characterization is idealistic, our H is a true psycho-alpha male, the Il Tagliatore as for Bianca she's a very strong and calculating heroine and I loved it.
Bianca Zanetti would see right through me, and I hated to be seen. I loved my darkness, embraced it a long time ago. I didn’t need the light. The shadows suited me. The demons and I got along just fine.

I feel like this is gonna be one of those book that can be view as polarising and not your first choice of read, but personally I enjoyed it. Its a roller-coaster of events, a wild ride. Both characters are vile in their own way, but thats understandable, considering the crimes and actions that was done. And this is an Enemies-to-Lovers/ forced marriage. So all the cards are presented on the table beforehand.

4.5 stars!!!
Oh boy this book was exactly what I needed!!! This is a dark forced marriage mafia romance and Im 1000% sure it will trigger the hell out of some people so BE WARNED!! I’m not gonna get into the entire plot of this book but what I will say is that I loved it..I don’t think I’ve read a book so fast lol!!!
Enzio Lanza was the ultimate anti hero...make no mistake he’s a Grade A son of a bitch but dammit it worked so well for him. The heroine Bianca...omg I loved her so much!! This girl took absolutely no shit from him..if anyone needed to watch their back it was Enzio because Bianca was coming for everyone that messed with her!! These two had such an explosive hate relationship..I loved their hateful sarcastic banter and their chemistry was through the roof even when he was doing the absolute most to hurt her.
I deducted half a star because the ending of the book felt a bit rushed but other than that The Italian Marriage was everything I look for in a dark mafia romance. This was my first book from this author and I’m definitely reading more from her in the future.

'The Italian marriage' is a Standalone dark Romance by N.J. Adel. This was one thrilling Dark romance for me!
I am a huge fan of the forced marriage trope and this author seemed to hit right on that! Bianca has never had an easy relationship with the Italian mafia. She ended up being kidnapped by then twice, first by Cosimo and then by Enzio. She had been Cosimo's obsession since she was a child and he had claimed her in every way. They both married a while later and had a son too. Now Enzio has been given a chance to take out his twin and claim his family as his own.
That proves to be a much more difficult task than what he originally thought , since now he has an angry widow with him , whose body wants him but she loathes him with a frightening intensity!
I loved the chemistry between these two main characters and can't wait to see much more of them , if the author graces us!! This book is a definite recommendation to all the dark Romance lovers!

I don't even know how I feel about this... like there was no real plot that made sense and everyone was just sick?? Like I've read Mafi Roman and I'll admit they aren't my thing 9 outta 10 times but this one was just a whole mindf*ck...

I love mafia romance but sadly this book didn’t work for me.

I knew from the start that a brother kills his own twin (mentioned in the blurb) and I was intrigued as to how things would go: a widow forced to marry her murderous brother-in-law, and I was ready for the dark world!
The plot wasn’t convincing enough for me and the characters behaved in a way that seemed unrealistic. Even the violence was forced, just to say that it is a dark world.
So I felt detached from the story and couldn’t connect with the characters, despite the twists here and there.
I guess some books just don’t click 🤷♀️

So I was searching for something dark and twisted and found The Italian Marriage by N.J. Adel. The blurb tells you just enough to intrigue you and man I am so happy I jumped at the chance to read this book.
Enzo is a dark and twisted alpha male that is misunderstood at the beginning. He is hated and pushed to the break of no return because of the choices his brother and sister-in-law have made. Bianca is the sister in law that has turned his life upside down. She has been a thorn in his side for as long as he can remember.
These two are a dark and disturbing couple that bring miscommunication, hate sex, and eventually HEA to a whole other level. Nothing these two do is halfway. They fight with everything they have and love the same way. Bianca has been trained since a child to only love one person. She was groomed, and to now have no one but Enzo is messing with her. But she is strong.
I absolutely loved this book. Every messed-up part of it.

This is my first read from this author and damn was I am impressed. 🙌🏻
Bianca had suffered a tragic loss by losing her husband (Italian Don). But when she is forced to marry her husbands twin brother Enzio ,to save not just herself but her son too, she has to swallow her pride and do what she knows has to be done.
But his family isn't convinced they are marrying under the right pretenses. Enzio wants to honor his brothers dying wish to always protect Bianca, but the family has never liked her. They will do anything they can to get Bianca out of the family.
⭐️10/10 recommend - THE PLOT TWIST 🤯

Bianca had to step in the Mafia world because of her love for Cosimo, her husband...But now it's all gone. Just in one night, her world is turned upside down. She is forced to marry her husband's twin for her one-year-old son's sake. But it's just the beginning of the end.
Mafia world is brutal ...and Enzio and Bianca have to endure so much tragedy to get to the HEA they well deserve.
This book was full of taboo to the brim. You can never expect the twist and turn ride this book takes us on. the blurb was the one which really attracted to read this book.
The love-Hate relationship they shared made this book unputdownable. Enzio really does pretty bad things to her and the trope of forbidden just pulls you in. Enzio was one of the best Anti-Hero...a 5 Star to that guy!!!
Bianca was a really strong character till the end. She really had to go through some serious shit. The world this author has made was not some sugar coated sweetness. This really gave us Mafia vibes...all the betrayals...
Forced arrange marriage is one of my all time favorite trope ...and put this with Mafia ...and thats my weekend read for sure... I love everything about this book. But there are some serious triggers in this book...dubious consent...murder...dark themes...

So we have a hot guy who kills his twin brother and he marries his sister-in-law because his brother's last wish was for his wife to be safe..and the criminal brother marries her because this is the only way for her to be safe...Right....:)) and they hate each other because duh...he is a criminal and he hates her because ..reasons...
After one week or so, he starts to be attracted to her and after 3 more weeks, she says that she loves the criminal brother. And they live happily ever after and the dead guy stays dead :))

interesting reading, full of my pet peeves but still it was likeable.
it could be better if Cosimo wasn't in the whole book all the damn time, i mean, i get it at first but then i wished more of her and Enzio you know? it missed building up relationship even if in this case was hard, i still needed something, i waited even for a twist or something, to make it better.
The epilogue it's not long enough, i needed more there too.
Overall this one was way better than the third one in this series.
I also feel like Enzio deserved more, somebody else maybe.
Anyway if it wasn't for him i wouldn't kept reading it.

This book is WOW! It's dark, it's intense, it's heart breaking. I am almost at a loss of ways to describe it. It messed with my mind, sucked me in, and kept me guessing at all time. I couldn't put it down, I didn't want to put it down! I am totally reading the next book!

Holy mother this book! This was my first read by N.J Adel and after coming off a RomCom series this was definitely a Dark Mafia romance I needed to read. A total page-turner that will have you hooked right from the start-I couldn’t put it down!

How lucky am I to have found this author’s work and read two of her books back to back that are in the top five “reads” for me for 2020 !!!! ARC received from Booksprout and the author in exchange for an honest review. Opinions expressed are my own and have not been influenced in any way ...
This book is one of the first in a very long time I just had no words initially to write my review. I will start by saying N.J. Adel is a truly gifted author - her words pull at your heartstrings. There is everything in this book that I love as a reader first and foremost the connection I felt to Bianca and Enzo.

“Because I do .. so much . Please don’t hate me for it. I wasn’t lying when I said your name was tattooed inside my heart. I will always love you , Cosimo. But I love him , too “
I highly recommend this book and N.J.Adel is very quickly becoming a favorite author.

Wow! This was my first Mafia romance. I have read many erotic lit. books with some pretty twisted and dark plots but none as twisted and dark as this. N.J. thank you for honoring me with a copy of this book and thank you for writing such a jaw dropping, compelling read. From beginning to end I was hooked on the characters, the plot, the darkness, the twists and the turns, many of which were not standout obvious. Who doesn't love a bad boy? Who doesn't love a dark and twisted bad boy? I hate to give spoilers and retell the stories in my reviews but I will say if you are squeamish, don't like BDSM, and are triggered by rape, forced marriage, extreme violence and sex then this is not for you. Please, don't pick it up and read to just criticize all the things I have told you that the book has. I love N.J.'s writing style. She speaks to me with her narrative and characters. If you do like dark twisted characters, violence, forced marriage but also a real love story I would recommend this to you and would suggest that you read other of N.J.'s books. Each one is as good if not better than the others. I give this 4.5 stars and only wish Goodreads had half stars....almost a 5 but I am pretty picky. It's coming N.J. I feel 5 stars in my bones.

OMG, NJ knocked it out of the park with this one. I didn't think I could love a book more than The Cruel Italian but I floved this one. She delivered another wonderfully written tale of betrayal, pain, heartache, revenge, and love. These characters are both so flawed. I didn't hate Enzio for what he did I understood his reasons. I felt sorry for him and the burden he had to carry from his actions. Bianca was a bada** and she definitely doesn't need anyone to rescue her. I loved every minute of their story and didn't want it to end. This book was darker than the previous books but I enjoy dark romance so it was right up my alley. I'm ready for more Italians !

The Italian Marriage is a phenomenal dark and twisted enemies to lovers mafia romance featuring Enzio, who becomes the mafia don after killing his mob boss twin brother when he betrays the family by attempting to leave the organization, and Bianca, the wife of Enzio's twin brother who he marries to protect her which was his brother's last request before his death. This book keeps you on the edge of your seat with its suspense, betrayal, unexpected twists and plot surprises. The characters are complex and portray strong emotions and sizzling passion. The Italian Marriage is one of those novels you hate to finish because you just want it to continue forever. I highly recommend this excellent read!

So it started with a BANG (not that kinda of banging you filthy animals 😜) but this story really HOOKED me from the start👌🏻
The writing was seriously so damn good, literally couldn't put it down even though a few things DID bother me (A LOT) like the fact that the hero *Spoiler Alert* killed his own brother that he apparently he "loved" because it was an order and beneficial his Mafia family or whatever.. Oh and there's the time he also was "ordered" to consume their union IN FRONT of the whole family to prove they actually did it (🤢) but besides those bothersome lil things trust me this book was bomb🥰
The mysteries and all the conspiracies surrounding the heroine and her ability to not only survive but also thrive for not only her but also her new born child were just PRICELESS I loved that.
I can't wait to read more from this author 🤗

Oh and there's the time he also was "ordered" to consume their union IN FRONT of the whole family to prove they actually did it (🤢) but besides those bothersome lil things trust me this book was bomb🥰
The mysteries and all the conspiracies surrounding the heroine and her ability to not only survive but also thrive for not only her but also her new born child were just PRICELESS I loved that.

Okay, what did I just read?
This book was so dark and twisted, with so many completely unexpected plot twists.
Enzio killed his twin brother and became the new mafia boss. He decided to keep his wife, Bianca, alive and he married her, saying he’s doing it to keep his nephew a mother. Bianca of course is very reluctant towards him, saying she will only love Cossimo.
Their story was so twisted and dark and filthy.
But it was obvious Enzio’s indifference to Bianca was slowly changing into something else.
I really liked here so many unexpected and shocking plot twists that really kept me on the edge.

The Italian Marriage is a dark, intense, and well-written book with an intriguing plot. This is a dark forced marriage mafia romance. It is quite emotional, action-packed, and steamy, it may cause triggers reader discretion is advised.
The characters, the description, and the fantasy world N.J. Adel has created are unparalleled. This story has so many unexpected twists and turns and is unlike any other mafia story I have read. This story is packed with excitement, adventure, danger, action, and drama.
I would totally recommend this book as it exceeds expectations of mafia and arranged marriage romances. I look forward to reading some of N.J. Adel’s other books!

What can I say…add a little mafia romance, with a twisted twin, a strong mother and a forced marriage and you get this devilishly-twisted-story.
I did have a love/hate relationship with this book from the start…mostly because I wanted to yell at the pages for the wild ride it send me on, and the fact I couldn’t put it down, I was a little lost in the roller coaster ride of emotions, with some triggers, and both leads definitely wicked, deceitful and mostly lost to hate.
But the more you read the more you understand they have their own monsters to concur, and by the end let’s just say, it all makes sense…
“This is me, the man you hated so much you wanted to rip his heart out and feel it bleed all over your hands, owning you forever.”
This explains the whole book.

Holy Mind F***
Enzio & Bianca holy dark and dirty mind F*** That was one heck of a rollercoaster ride with some of the best hate sex I have ever ready. These two are truly consumed by darkness and together they are fire. I this book had me captured from beginning to end and there was no chance I was putting it down until I was finished. Seriously if you love the dark depraved raw gritty emotional roller coaster then this is your jammmmm!!! Freaking loved it!

Wow! I was in a high after reading this book. It was thrilling and it had me at the edge of my seat.
The only reason I didn’t give it five stars it that it felt like I started a book with missing pages did I had to read another book before this one?
If you are looking for a mafia book that has a bit of everything this book is for you.

This one is twisty and super messed up in all the good ways. If you like forced marriage and dubious consent,you’ll want to give The Italian Marriage a read for sure!

Still can’t decide if it is 3 or 4 stars ⭐️.
A completely twisted and compelling read!
All the characters were a little crazy and messed up.... even heroine!. They all had shades of grey and none was innocent.
There many twisted elements (most probably triggers) in the book so beware.
Safe and recommended.
P.s I still regret the brother Cosimo dying.

I am unfamiliar with N. J. Adel, but since I am a huge fan of an alpha male, especially a mafia, I give it a shot and spent some time to read the book, a decision which I never regret. The Italian marriage is so much more than what I expected it to be. The story has an anticipated twist. Enzio and Bianca are both dark and twisted, which makes them suit each other so well. It is fun to have a strong heroin who strives to face and survive the situation she was in. They had come a long way before they find their happiness and discover that they were meant for each other, but they stull manage to forgive and be together.

If you enjoy dark Mafia romances, then grab this one as it’s brilliant. I loved it from start to finish. The plot is great, the characters and their dialogue are superb.
