Drew I hate the lies you tell. For as long as I could remember, everything in my world had been fake. Literally everything. I’d had it with it all: the lies, the pretense, the show. But I was stuck on a dizzying merry-go-round of deceit, and I couldn’t get off. So when she came into my life, I thought I’d hit the jackpot with something and someone more real than anything I’d ever experienced. That is until I discovered she was the biggest faker of them all. I hated her for it, and I wanted to make her pay.
Kik I tell the lies I hate. I hated the lies and the pretense, but if someone like me was going to get where I wanted to be in life, it was a necessary evil. Truth was, I’d kind of made peace with the idea. It was a means to an end, and it wasn’t forever. Everybody had to do what they had to do, right? I could live with that. Kinda. Sorta. Maybe. At least I could until he came into my life, and seemed determined to tear down everything I’d worked so hard to build
MV ELLIS knows what it’s like to fall head over heels in love with a badass musician. She moved from London to Sydney after a steamy holiday romance with a sexy bass player in sultry Brazil. Twelve years, two children and a dog later, and she’s still smitten. All this with a guy she sat next to on a bus for 36 hours!
Ellis’ love of romance began when she was 11 years old, after a summer spent secretly reading her auntie’s books. She’s been a sucker for an alpha hero and strong heroine ever since. Following a career spanning advertising, marketing, and social media, she finally wrote Catching London in 2017.
5 FANTASTIC STARS!! Another fantastic story by this phenomenal author. Drew and Kik's story will keep you on your toes, they were fun, sexy, enemies and full of love. I could not put this book down, each page got better and more interesting. M.V. Ellis knows how to write a story that sucks you in. If you haven't started this series, what are you waiting for.
Firstly i would like to thank M.V. Ellis for allowing me to read and review an arc of this gem. I devoured Break You and this was no diffrent. We met both Drew and Kik in Break you and i loved them there and now is the time for there story.
When Drew gets called into his Dads office he has no idea what his about as him and his have a very bad relationship so what ever it is it cant be good. Drews dad Victor is horrible the way he talks to Drew and even about his own father and Wife OMG this guy doesn't deserve a family at all, all about money and power and that is all he thinks about. So when Drew gets called he has no idea what to expect, when his dad tells him he needs to make sure a certain person keeps quiet, as this person is blackmailing Victor. When Victor shows a photo of Kik to Drew he originally thinks is a boy only to reliase its not. So when he goes to her place of work and confronts her , he corners her while she is half naked and this is where the sparks first fly.
From then on Drew basically starts stalking Kik he is everywhere she is. When Kik finally tells Drew the truth about his dad lets just say things are not what it seems, and you realize just how ruthless Victor is. Even after finding out Drew will not leave Kik alone. Their chemistry is off the chain hot even if Kik keeps fighting it with every fiber of her being. This book had it all the passion, the secrets, and also the heartbreak. Loved it all.
favorite quote (Drew) "She really was a piece of work. My feelings for her fitted between wanting to bury my dick deep inside her and have her beg me to make her come or wanting to open the door of the truck as we sped through the city streets and encourage her to jump into on coming traffic".
I loved both of these characters both were feisty and stubborn , both have been through hell and back but at the same time that is what brought them together , no matter how much they fight they can't deny their chemistry . Recommend this book to anyone. I suggest you read Break You as you meet them both there.
This series is taking the whole bully trope and smacking it upside the head! I am absolutely floored and in awe of Ms. Ellis' new story in this series!
This is the story of Drew and Kik.
First off I applaud Ms. Ellis for making Kik the gal that she is, she is strong, fierce and a tomboy to the extreme and makes no bones about it! She is comfortable in the way she is and makes no apologies for it. She is loyal to those she loves to the extreme and will do anything and everything to make sure their needs are met.
Drew...woo wee! This hero is definitely one you will absolutely love to hate! He is an alpha-hole to the extreme and will stop at nothing to take Kik down. But then throughout the story, you see him change into the man you know he can be. He is worthy and even when he's acting ugly, you can see glimpses of his redeemability.
I have admired Ms. Ellis' stories since the beginning and she has yet to change my way of thinking and admiring her! In fact, in every new book she puts out, I can almost feel the confidence building in her writing. So well done!!
I can't wait to see the next book in this series! Who's it going to be??
Drew comes from a wealthy and privileged lifestyle and doesn’t allow many people close but those he does he will do anything to protect. It is only to protect those he cares about that he allows himself to be coerced by his father into a plan to ensure that Kiki stops her pressure against him and his company.
Kiki loves her father and would do anything for him even if that means going up against an evil force. She is strong, determined and isn’t about to back down from any challenge especially Drew’s attempts to intimidate her.
I enjoyed both these characters as they find themselves caught in a situation not of their own making but when truths are revealed their true characters come out as well. The chemistry between Drew and Kiki was hot, the banter was humorous and catching up with the other characters we know and love is always fun.
First things first..I don't think I've loved a couple more, who hate each other with so much palpable passion as much as Kik and Drew! These two are so hot with their intense sexual vitriol, this book vibrates with it!
Drew and Kik were introduced to us in Break You, and I was keen to see more of these two, especially Drew. He is such a powerful physical and emotional character, with a sexy smart mouth; he oozes charisma straight off the page. Kik, conversely is such an exotic resilient creature with a whole lot on her plate and even more at stake, but that doesn't stop her from going toe to toe with Drew; she's his perfect adversary, and he's hell bent on destroying her.
But this privileged bad boy also has his own demons and agenda, and it doesn't take long for them to realise their real and common enemy. But can they put their hate, and lust aside long enough to both come out victors?
This is one intense ride with a generous, hot and equally intense chemistry between these two. This book confirms this Boys of Trinity Hall series is seriously heating up!! Loved it!!
This was an amazing, fast paced, love/hate bully romance that was highly entertaining! Kik and Drew's story made me want to smash my kindle many times or at least reach in and smack Drew upside the head! The chemistry between these two is so thick and intense that it oozes off the pages. Their intensely heated push and pull power play is witty, funny, sexy and completely hot!
Kik is an amazing woman who is strong with so much wit and an unstoppable attitude. Drew on the other hand is a powerful, sexy and emotional man who will stop at nothing to save those he loves - even if it means destroying someone else. Kik and Drew are the perfect powerful couple. It may take a while to get there though.
This is one intense wild and sexy ride! I loved every second of it!!
The author nailed it! The storyline was constantly shifting and just when you thought you had it all worked out, we were taken in a different direction. I love the banter between Best mates Xavier and Drew, the chemistry that Drew and Kik deny was off the charts.
Drew has everything a guy with old money could want, at least that’s how it looks on the surface. We have images to uphold, because the way we portray ourselves reflects on our status within the community. Daddy dearest tasks Drew with putting a stop to a girl who works at Rollergirl from blackmailing him. Of course daddy has an ultimatum, but one would really call it blackmail. Drew is seething, but sets out to scare this girl off. He’s in denial, but he is unable to get her out of his thoughts.
Kik isn’t just another girl, in fact she’s extraordinary. With a sick father to look after she has three jobs and is studying pre-law. Kik returns to her dressing room after her act, Drew barges in and is a little star struck. Before long he’s pulled himself together and like a leopard showing his spots, his true colours are shown. Who does he think he is, telling her what to do? If that’s not enough he’s popping up everywhere making a nuisance of himself. He inserts himself into her life, disrupting and making her life a nightmare. He smooth though because he has her daddy fooled.
I was given an advance readers copy of this book and have decided to write a voluntary honest review. I am rating this book 4.5 stars. I honestly didn't think Drew was as bad as Xavier. I mean he's not but he's still pretty bad. He's extremely mean but he's also a sexy alpha. I nevef thought Drew wouod be into someone like Kik but sometimes opposites attract and in this case it's very true. But of course us girls always like mean guys case in point Drew and Xavier lol. Now I can't wait to see who is next up.
These characters had explosive chemistry. I really enjoyed Drew and Kik's story. I adored these characters in the first book and I was pleased with their story. A great enemies to lovers romance
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is the second book in the Boys of Trinity Hall series, and the story of Drew, and Kik. This book take you on a roller coaster of twist, and turns, lies, and deceit, and highs, and lows. This book was well written, the characters captivated me, and they had hot, fiery chemistry. This was intense, suspenseful, mysterious, dramatic, dark, emotional, and steamy.
this story is not as dark as the previous. there is bullying, stalking and utter chaos. Drew causes major pains for Kik. Kik and Drew were enemies but the interactions were in some cases pretty funny. she gives him a run for his money too. Kik was a unique character. she is feisty, sarcastic, loyal and will fight to the end for those she loves. Drew is ruthless and unfeeling. However, those in his circle are protected and loved by him. He has some soft spots. He calls his grandfather Grampsie. they battle frequently and yet they can't keep their hands off each other. Their feelings confuse them and make for a good story that will have you hating to put down the book. Your emotions will run wild. Good character growth and a good read.
When Drew's father came to him and insisted he help solve a little problem that he had with the family business, Drew had his reservations about getting involved. Especially after he learned who the problem was with, and what his father's expectations for him were. But his father was prepared for that and told him either he help or there would be consequences... which meant Drew had no choice but to get involved!
Getting close to Kik is definitely not going to be a hardship, she is gorgeous, but his father's plan is deceitful and damaging and he isn't so sure he has it in him to hurt her... or does he?
Fake You is a dramatic little tale of righting wrongs, finding love, personal growth, and letting go of past hurts. These young souls are brought together by deceit, but it's love that holds them together. Both have had their share of troubles, dealt with some impossible situations, been on the receiving end of other's disappointment more times than they care to count. This one comes with a lot of push and pull, Drew trying to do what is expected of him and ignore his heart, and Kik trying not to fall for the bad guy, but finding it's impossible not to. This one wrecked my heart, and had me overwhelmed with emotion.... it's word were laced with so much pain. While it was a rough journey, it also came with a bit of happiness to be discovered too. If you like dark, angsty tales then this one will be right up your alley, it pages hold a story destined to give you all you want and more! Highly recommend!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.
Intriguing from the prologue, I knew this little girl was going to be something special. I adored the woman Kristina “Kik” Sanchez had become. She had grown into a vision of beauty and her attitude was as real as it gets. Her determination, strength and devotion were the reason Drew had found his way into her life.
Andrew “Drew” Edgar Cavanagh was surprisingly so much more than the young rich, hunky asshole that he portrayed himself as. His father had set him a task, knowing how to play it to his advantage.
This is a fantastic story. I marvelled at the way it was put together with wonderful side characters, delivering the witty banter I always enjoy. Grampsie is a legend. I’d call it enemies to lovers with some hot, sexual, visual scenes that just seem to fit so well. You could just feel this escalating. Love the internal dialogue. “Fuck, I hated him. He was the epitome of an entitled smug prick. It was too bad I also really wanted to sit on his face.”
I was so captivated as we learnt things along the way. I didn’t want to put it down, I needed to know the ending, and it was just pure perfection. This is a book that I felt was going to stay in the memory bank, the next time I hear of the game of “Two truths and one lie” and snow angels I will be thinking of Angelita. Another one of MV Ellis books ticking all the boxes for me.
WOW! If you love to read love/hate relationships, then you need to read this book. I fell in love with Kik right of the bat. She embodies what a good person with morals should be. Drew, well you never start off liking the bully, but he finally won me over. Kristina Sanchez aka Kik is on a mission to bring down a corporation that is hurting people. You will find out why as you read the book. Kik story is sad to read. So then you through in this hot as sin guy coming in telling her that she needs to back off this mission she is on only spurs her. However, Drew did not know what he was expecting when he met Kik. He was just trying to do what he was told to do. So naturally, you have an alpha male and an alpha female going at it. It was like game and was fun to read to see who will be the one to give or have the better hand. I was so involved in the book that when I got to the end, I was in tears. Dang, I was not expecting some of the things that happened but OMG did it make it just that much better. So yes, make sure you have some tissues handy cause you will need them. I love it and need more Boys of Trinity Hall.

I loved this book. So. Much. It’s equally as good as the first book with that similar angsty hate-love hotness going for it, with a very different underlying plot woven throughout that is unique and keeps you turning the page, wanting and needing to know how things turn out. It was excellent! You could feel the chemistry and energy coming from Kik and Drew in waves. Epic waves of pleasure and torture that consume and threaten to drown them. And can we please talk about this cover? Holy effing hotness. It’s the perfect representation of Drew; alpha asshole hotness and walking sex personified. One more time for those in the back: DREW IS THE EPITOME OF SEXY ALPHA ASSHOLE AND HE’S MY NEW FAVORITE BOOK BOYFRIEND.
Okay, enough yelling. I’ll fan myself and calm down now.
But seriously, do yourself a favor and snap this book up immediately. And if you haven’t read the first book, I’d suggest grabbing that, too. They’re standalone stories in my opinion, but there are some references to what happens in that book in this one, and you’ll get so much more from this book if you understand them and have experienced Xavier and Rocky’s story first because Drew is a part of that as well.
5/5 stars for me. This is another winner of a book and I can’t wait to read Bear’s story!
Kik has incredible strength as she works multiple jobs while going to college part-time to keep a roof over her and her father’s head. Her father has been sick for years from the work he did for his former company and his health is failing. She desperately doesn’t want to lose him but she also wants the company that caused this to pay the people that have suffered based on their greed. Drew seems like he has led a charmed life but his father, Victor, is a bully to anyone and everyone. His latest task is for Drew to convince Kik to stop blackmailing his dad or his father will no longer support his mother and grandfather. Now, I had my moments where I hated Drew and then I would love him, which made this story more interesting. As Drew works to destroy Kik, we find that deep down he isn’t like his father. What happens when he realizes he likes Kik for her strength and courage? Will Drew lose everything with his father? Or will he finally realize love is possible? I was tied in knots a lot during this story, never knowing what Drew was really going to do as Kik worked to stay afloat. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.
Hmm, I think because I loved book one in this series "break you" and they are in the same series Trinity hall I automatically expected to love this, but alas I didn't.
It's set in the same world and place but I expected it to be a continuation time wise and it wasnt.
This book is set in the same time frame meaning you get some repetition, both event and conversation wise, which was a little disappointing.
Kevin, aka Kik but known as Angelita and also Kristina. Gosh the girl has so many names, personalities add her dual gender capabilities into the mix and my head was spinning! She really wasnt my favourite character.
Her story is very Erin Brockovich and I didnt enjoy the film so I guess that wasnt the best start.
Drew puzzled me with his repetitive behaviour and comments and whilst I wasnt rushing to add him to my book boyfriend list I was curious as to how he would "sort everything".
When you get to the point that you want the end of the book to be within sight it's not good folks, and that's honestly how I was feeling at just gone half way through.
So therefor I'm giving this a disappointing 3.5 stars.
Fake You by MV Ellis is book Two in the Boys of Trinity Hall Series. This is the story of Kik (Angelita /Kristina) and Drew. I have read the previous book which added to my enjoyment of this one but it can easily be a standalone book I thought. Drew's father is a power hungry total awful man who has nothing good to say about Drew behind or to his face. So when his father comes to him on his birthday he knows it for birthday wishes. No his father wants him to handle an issue of the company being blacked mailed by Kik. Of course Drew doesn't want to do anything for him but his father brings up his mother and grandfather...that he will no longer help them if Drew doesn't help him. Kik has her own family issues. Kik is working several jobs to help her father and to help her go to school. Kik father is not well and she has to provide for him. Drew is hard to like at first even when you know why he is the way he is but the more time he spends with Kik the more he starts to become more human. This is a Dark Romance so it may not be for everyone but I did enjoy it. I can't wait for more stories from this author.
I'm not sure what it is about stories that actually have some element of bullying in them that I can't stop myself from reading. I get mad most of the time, since all the books like this I've read are from very talented authors, so M.V. Ellis is absolutely no exception. This is Drew & Kik's story, and its a doozie. Drew's father has told him that there's someone who is blackmailing him, so his father needs him to go & make sure this person stays quiet. He's shown a picture of Kik, so Drew goes to try to intimidate her, but catches her unaware while somewhat half undressed, and the sparks flew from there. Like I'm talking about the kind that won't be denied for any length of time, so while these two are trying to hate on each other, the chemistry definitely gets involved. There's obviously twists & turns which got my f-bombs to dropping because they were so good, not to mention, came out of left field. These two are starting to catch feelings in this journey, so how long will they be able to ignore those feelings?! You'll have to hit your one click button to find out, as I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!
Kik works several jobs to support herself and her dad. Her dad needs a replacement lung and medical expenses are expensive. She is seeking compensation against the company that has made her father ill. Drew is the son of a businessman that hates him. Rather than congratulate him on his birthday his father blackmails him to neutralise the threat of Kiki. Drew is ruthless, determined, unrelenting and unapologetic as he rips Kiki's world apart. Along the way there is something about Kiki that he can't resist.
This is very powerful storytelling! It's well written, paced and it's compelling. As a reader I really felt drawn into the story and silently cheered everytime she stood up for herself, not backing down and stayed true to herself. Kiki is a character to admire. Drew was really hard to like as he was so unrelenting destructive in her life. He slowly realises that he is a pawn, and after his father reveals more of his hatred Drew has plans for his revenge. And it's good!! The story has an epilogue and a HEA! Recommended!

Wow...this book took me on a wild ride. My head is spinning. So many twist, turns, ups, and downs, and things going sideways. If you love surprises and like laughing and crying along with the characters Rose, Fox, and Kane. Make You is the second book in the Boys of Trinity Hall Duet. It answers all of your questions that arose from either this book or in Take You (1st book). This book was hot and so much fireworks. Loved reading about all the explosion of all the secrets that came out. MV Ellis did a fantastic job keeping me engrossed in both Take You and Make you from the first page to the last. Both sad that the series ended but so glad this was the conclusion and there is no more guessing and wondering what will happen next. Absolutely recommend reading both books in the Boys of Trinity Hall Duet. You won’t regret reading the books. Just be prepared for a wild ride, feeling a whirlwind of your emotions, and getting so involved that you don’t want to put the book down. Enjoy reading The Boys of Trinity Hall Duet (no way can you just read one)!!

So this was Drew and Kik's story, and what a story it was! Another enemy to lover romance. I loved Kik's character and how stubborn she was. Her interactions with Drew were off the chart and the chemistry between them was really hot!! Drew was your typical dominating Alpha (just my type) and you could tell how conflicted he was through out the story with wanting her, but also NOT wanting her due to his father. I like how he took charge of Kik and the whole situation with his father and this in turn helped Kik. Their back and forth interactions were full of angst and also amusing at times. It was a really enjoyable story which was fast paced but also had the details and supporting characters which you need in a good book. What i really like about MV Ellis is that her characters are gritty and real. Kik for example is not your typical beauty queen type girl, instead she is a petite tomboy and proud! Yet Drew is smitten with her. I really like that and cant wait to read the next book in the series! I received an ARC from the author in exchange for my honest review.
I thought the first book in this series was one of the worst I've ever read but this was hands down the worst book I've ever read. If I could I'd rate it 0 stars. Being the authors second book I thought maybe her writing style would develop but it didn't. The characters were so annoying and so was the book itself. I've never not wanted to finish a book regardless of whether it's bad but I definitely didn't want to finish this one (I ended up skimming the last half of the book). Like the first book, the characters just weren't developed enough for me, there wasn't enough back story, the whole story was too wordy and a lot of it just wasn't necessary. Also I know it's an enemy to lovers trope but Drew literally decided he loved her yet was still hating and wanting to destroy her life for quite a few more chapters... It just didn't make sense to me.
I've never not liked an author and not wanted to read any of their other work but after these two books it's safe to say I won't be reading any of Ellis's work ever again and definitely not finishing the series.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Another great edition to this Trinity Hall series. Kik and Drew meet as they are forced together by a threat from Drew's father. In order for Drew to save others, he is required to destroy Kik in the process. Kik is many things and a coward is not one if them. Kik meets Drew's threats and challenges head on. Drew's initial meeting with Kik at Roller Girl is confusing to say the least but also the connection of other relationships within his group of friends - Xavier and Rocky. Drew soon realises that there is more to Kik than meets the eye as he is forcing her to interact with him more and more. This hate to love story is great with quite a few twists and the lesson money does not and can not solve all problems. Really great story.

An enemies-to-lovers/bully romance that keeps you hooked from start to finish with its twisty storyline, drama and hot as sin chemistry.
Fake You is book 2 in the Boys of Trinity Hall series. While it is a standalone story of Drew and Kik's relationship is does play out alongside book one. The characters are first introduced in Break You and the storylines are flawlessly intertwined.
Kik is pretty badass. She is strong, stands up for what is right and doesn't take any or Drew's sh*t. As usual with these type of books, Drew took a bit longer to warm up to. He will do anything to protect his mum and grampsie from the pure evil that is his father.... unfortunately for Kik she happens to be in his firing line.
I devoured this story in one sitting (who needs sleep anyway, right?😂) and would definitely recommend the series to all the bully romance lovers.
I immediately fell in love with Kik right away because she is a good person that is looking to do what is right. Drew is bully with rough edges but he finally won me over with the changes that he made. Kristina Sanchez aka Kik is on a serious mission to bring down a corporation that is hurting people and you will find out why that is as you continue to read this book. Drew goes to Kik and tells her that she needs to back off on what she is trying to do but this only motivates her more. I don't think that Drew knew what he was expecting when he met Kik for the first time and he was only doing what he was told to do by the higher ups. Its a game of cat and mouse between Drew and Kik going at it and trying to see who will crack first. You won't be able to put this book down once you start reading it.

This is MV Ellis' next book in The Boys of Trinity Hall series. This is the enemies to lovers story of Kik and Drew. A story that starts off as enemies and ends up as lovers creates so much drama and sexual tension that the reader can't help but become engaged in the drama. The disdain they exhibit toward each other gives the reader some damn good chemistry that is sustained throughout the book. Kik and Drew are from two very different worlds and, were it not for some specific and unfortunate circumstances, they would likely have never crossed paths. Both Kik and Drew are doing their best to navigate through some very serious issues relating to their fathers, but they're approaching the issues from very different points of view and stations in life. This story is a wild ride and worth the read! I'm waiting on book three in this series.
I'm not going to talk a whole lot about this one. Yes, I gave it four starts but it's really a 3.5 star rating for me. The writing is good, the sex is better than the first. I just didn't click with Drew and Kik in this romance as much as I did with Xavier and Rocky. I don't know if it was their personalities or if they didn't click right together. I can't pinpoint what exactly is wrong. It may be a mix of both. I may have had a hard time liking Kik. She was a little bit annoying.
I believe the three stars are consisted with the epilogue, the steamy scenes, and the point of Drew having to somehow finding a way to stop Kik from blackmailing his dad. The rest was like eh. Kik also liked to point out that she is poor CONSTANTLY!!! It was to the point where I was just like, we get it, your poor. You have to work hard for all your shit. Calm down. STop mentioning it every two seconds. It was like she was rubbing it in to Drew that she was poor and her dad was dying so she could get sympathy out of him the whole time.....well I think I just found out why I don't like them as much as Xavier and Rocky. I guess I don't like Kik as much. Drew was cool.
Wow!!! Drew went into this helping his dad with no idea of what happened to cause his father to want the young lady silenced and it's deeper than you'd expect.
Kik is working hard and being weighed down with so much anger. I don't want to spoil this one so I'm not saying more.
Drew may look like his father but as you see him find out the family secrets and get to know Kristina he definitely has a heart made of pure gold.
These characters grew and matured and made you love them. So much more than a bully romance because these two characters who have been hurt and decieved yet without it, they wouldn't have met.
Thiis one deals with the biggest bullies of them all... You'll have to read to find out who. I received an ARC for an honest and voluntarily review.
