Bro Code Rule #1 – You can’t have your best friend's younger sister. Austin
What is it that guys I date don’t seem to understand what a causal relationship is?
That doesn’t mean to propose to me. This is why I packed up everything into my car and I’m now heading to my brothers.
Only he’s not there. His best friend Dallas is.
Dammit, he’s the reason none of my relationships have worked out. I compare them all to how he treats me.
When they go on tour and drag me along it’s hard to hide feelings in the small space of a tour bus. But my brother has made it very clear.
Dallas is no good for me. We both risk losing my brother if we go any further.
Dallas
It sucks when you can’t have the one girl you love.
When the band I started with Austin’s brother took off girls were easy. It was less messy having flings.
Then she moves into the house with us.
Even when her brother has made it perfectly clear she is off limits I can’t seem to stay away.
She is still the only one who makes my heart race.
When her life is on the line because of the band's fame can we put our differences aside long enough to save her?
Can I convince them both I’ve changed, and I will be a one-woman man the rest of my days if she just chooses me?

Brothers best friend will always be the superior trope (at least for me) and with this being my first time reading this author, I couldn't wait to start -- and it was so good!! There was so much emotion involved with all of our characters, and even though I didn't like, nor did I agree with Landon (Austin's older brother and Dallas's best friend) I still couldn't help but love him. There is the perfect blend of angst, longing, heat, and just pure love underneath it all. And I LOVED how this wasn't your normal rockstar romance.
I will definitely be reading more from this author going forward!
**I received an ARC of this book and these are my honest opinions!**
This is a standalone story and I absolutely adored it. It features three characters I loved who have known each other forever.
- Landon is the brother to his sister Austin and best friend, bandmate, roomie to Dallas.
- Austin is Landon's sister and has a HUGE crush on Dallas who she grew up with.
- Dallas is best friends with both Landon (also bandmate and roommate) and his younger sister Austin, and he has a major thing for her but Landon has told him he cannot ever look her way because he is not good enough for her.
All three of them have lost their parents so they formed their own family. The story begins as Austin comes to Nashville to visit with Dallas and Landon after a guy she casually dated proposed to her and she got some weird vibes so she decided she needed to come stay with them for a while. So she becomes their roommate too.
They are about to go on tour and they ask her to join them and so the first 30% of the book is really fun as the three of them perform at concert venues and hang out with each other. But the closeness has brought home to Dallas that she is his ONE and so he decides he wants a chance with her heart even if it means breaking Landon's heart.
I adored Dallas, he is an absolute sweetheart and he has a huge dilemma, does he follow his heart and maybe lose Landon or does does he choose friendship and family and give up on true love. Its a really tough choice.
As to Austin she wants her shot and I loved how she fights with Landon for her future. She is one kick ass character and I loved how she fought for Dallas even if it meant fighting her own brother.
In the middle of the story Austin has a stalker and so there is an element of danger for Austin and her guys have to protect her.
This was a really HOT and sweet romance with characters I fell hard for. It was an awesome story of two people who belong to each other and the brother that has to learn how to let his little sister go and grow up.
I loved this story so much but for me the names sometimes got confusing with the whole Dallas name and the Austin name and remembering that Austin was the girl and Dallas was the boy. It was hard as both names can be used by either gender.
I received a free ARC copy of this book from the author prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is a standalone story that is full of chemistry/passion, angst, steam and mystery! You get multiple tropes in one.... the best friend's younger sister or older brother's best friend and a rock star romance.
Austin, after a 3mth fling proposes to her, she freaks out & packs her bags to head back "home" to stay with her brother in Nashville. When she arrives, he's not home, instead she is greeted by Dallas... her brother's roommate/best friend since childhood/band mate... aka the one person she has always secretly been in love since childhood. He is the one she feels is the main reason her past relationships never work out b/c no one could treat her like he does.
Landon (Austin's brother) and Dallas are in a band together.... Highway 55. And about to head out on a short tour. They invite Austin to join them. While on tour, things between Austin & Dallas begin to heat up... BUT Landon always told Dallas she was off limits. He only wanted what was best for his sister and no one in his eyes could ever be that. Dallas has had a major crush on Austin but out of respect to her brother, he stayed away and developed the reputation as a player/ladies man. With Austin back, he feels he cant continue this path... he wants to change and prove to both Austin & Landon that he is not that and can be the right man for Austin.
Could they both give in to the chemistry and risk Landon finding out which would ruin the friendship and possibly end the band?
This is such a sweet romance story THOUGH it contains twists, secrets, and revelations, with some of them leaving you reeling. The author builds it up and does not leave you disappointed! This book was beautifully written. It truly showed that with love, you can conquer all.
Never a dull moment! Connection to the characters and to the reader Both POVs HEA Playboy rock star, Dallas, co founder of a band Highway 55 with his childhood best friend Landon. Secret crush on Landon’s younger sister of a few years, Austin, for a very, very long time...
Austin loves her private life separately from her famous brother and best friend Dallas. Does sing with them ones in a while. Keeps men as casual relationships after being burned. Protects Landon and Dallas as much as possible but keeps her feelings for Dallas locked away. Well until she comes home for good to Nashville in the guys’ house. And when they are set to tour, will Austin and Dallas keep their feelings on the down low or will they admit to each other their intentions??.
I am officially a new fan of Kaci Rose. I will read everything that she writes!
This book was amazing! It had the perfect amount of everything: swoon-worthy moments, angst, suspense, sexiness, and HOT HOT HOT moments.
Austin and Dallas have liked each other since they were teenagers. Neither one of them acted on it however because Dallas was Austin's older brothers best friends and they were both nervous to cross that line. Now they are both adults and cannot wait any longer.
Austin is living with her brother after another failed relationship. Dallas is living there as well and when the two of them see each other, both of their feelings come back stronger than ever. Dallas has a playboy reputation, he is trying to change to be the man that Austin needs, but not everyone believes that he will change. All Dallas and Austin want is to be together. The only thing stopping them is Austin's brother and if Austin can really trust Dallas.
When the two of them get together, nothing will stop them. They have both waited forever to be together, and that is all they want. Even though, both of their pasts come back and people try to ruin it, they are determined to stay together. This book was beautiful. It truly showed that love can conquer all and when you meet your soulmate nothing else matters.
HEA: Yes Cheating: No Couple Separation: No OW/OM Drama: Not really
This book was a really great read. I totally loved the way the story flowed and the relationships amongst the 3 main characters were brilliant. There are friendships and family bonds at play in this story and I felt that although I loved all the characters I was disappointed in Landon and his reactions to Austin and Dallas's feelings for one another.
This story contains loads of twists, secrets, and revelations with some of them leaving you reeling. When Dallas and Austin really see each other and are honest, it's slow, tentative, and maybe a little daunting as to what they have to lose. It was great reading the relationship unfold and grow.
Landon is a huge part of this story as Austin's big brother and Dallas's best friend. It was hard to read his views but they are completely warranted. I was emotional reading many parts of this book. But there was also fun, laughter, and a passion that is off the charts.
This book is a total recommendation from me. As a new-to-me author, I was won over by the flow of her words and her great storytelling making me want to read more.

God I loved this book. The story was so well written and the build up was amazing. It’s a really slow burn romance which normally isn’t really my thing but it just works with this story. I loved how even their names fits and I guessed the tattoo meaning right from the first mention. I only wish that it was longer I’m not ready to say goodbye to Austin and Dallas.
She’s still the One by Kaci Rose “A long time coming, 4 stars”
Dallas and Austen have known each other her entire life. He is not only her brother's best friend, but hers. It’s hard finding a HEA when you compare every guy to the one you can’t have. When Austen moves home and into the house, Dallas and her brother share things heat up. The question is, will they give into temptation or will they forever be circling each other? I genuinely liked She’s Still the One. I have never read Rose before and plan to again. There were a couple times I not only wanted to sucker punch the couple (individually) but also Austen’s brother. Plot-4/5 Characters-4/5 Heat-4/5 Writing style-4/5 Overall-4/5
Not a huge fan of over protective big brother stories. This one had a stalker suspense which added interest. The name, Austin for a girl and her love interest being, Dallas, was a bit weird.
I liked the touring part of story. It seemed Austin got to tour when the guys weren't screwing all night every night and perhaps more grown up? It was alluded to many times against Dallas but Landon also indulged in groupie activities. He was hypocritical and was strongly opposed to Dallas and Austin because of it. I was not supportive of his character for a lot of the book. We don't know his pov on a personal level.
I liked that they'd been friends for a long time. That seemed wonderful.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
There were a lot of things about this that I really enjoyed, but something about the pacing felt weird to me. I felt like the story was almost over and then realized that I was only a third of the way in. And then around the 2/3 point, I was getting pretty bored.
Dallas and Austin have known each other all their lives, even consider each other family, but when crushes have been put on the back burner for so long it is only a matter of time before things intensify. Austin has had some bad casual flings because all her life she has compared everyone to Dallas and the perfect way he treats her. Dallas also has had a major crush on Austin but out of respect to her brother, his best friend and bandmate Landon, he has kept his distance and gained a reputation of being a player just to stay away from her. Landon only wanted what was best for his sister and no one in his eyes could ever be that and yes, he said some hurtful things, but when he realized how things truly were, he came to his senses. When they no longer fight their feelings can Dallas change not only his ways but his friend’s mind that he wants to be a better man for Austin? Can these two make things work or will they be doomed to only see each other from a distance? I loved this book and how willing Dallas was willing to change his ways for the girl he has always wanted. I also loved how Austin was willing to stand by Dallas’ side no matter what. Add in some suspense, love that’s intense, loads of steam, and you have a perfect read with amazing characters.
Aw i absolutely loved this heartwarming story. Austin moves back to live with her brother and her brother’s best friend and band mate Dallas. For Austin, she has always had feelings for Dallas but they have never acted on them before because of her brother, Dallas, despite his playboy ways, is everything else that she would want in a man. Austin goes on tour with the band and the connection between herself and Dallas is just sizzling. Dallas wants to change his ways, he no longer wants to be the playboy, he wants to settle down and the only woman he wants to be with is Austin. He knows that his best friend Landon is going to explode but he wants to prove to him and Austin that he has changed and that he no longer wants his old lifestyle. Austin and Dallas get together initially in secret but things blow up when Landon finds them together, but with Austin’s mysterious ex lurking around they all need to pull together to protect her. I loved this book, a fantastic read with brilliant characters. You could almost feel the chemistry between Austin and Dallas, it was just magical. Brilliant book, can’t wait for more from this author.

Arc For Honest Review . I was so very excited to be able to take part in Reviewing, Shes Still The One . Kaci Rose is one of my very favorite authors. I genuinely love her books so much . She’s still the one is one of my very favorite tropes in romance ( best friends younger sister as well as rock band romance . Austin , after many failed relationships packs her bags and heads out to visit her brother. Only she does not find him , but to her surprise ( finds Dallas ) the one person she has always secretly been in love with and the reason her past relationships never worked out . Dallas unbeknownst to Austin has always wanted her as well . After moving in with her brother as well as Dallas and becoming part of the bands life , they slowly grow closer . Will Dallas be able to convince Austin he is no longer a player and will he finally be able to earn his best friends trust to pursue a relationship with his sister. I was completely hooked and devoured this amazing book in a day . This book has it all , chemistry , steam , angst and a happily ever after. I highly recommend, this book . I loved everything about it .
An excellent five star read from Ms. Rose! The story is written from both Austin and Dallas’s points of view as they are our heroine and hero, but Landon is just as essential to the story. I feel like I got to know all three of them well, learning about Landon by his interactions with Austin and Dallas. These siblings/friends have created a family of three and would do anything for each other. The storyline gives us touches of when they first met, a few of the teen years, and then focuses on the present.
You get the feeling of being right in the midst of the book with the characters and you will laugh, cry, and celebrate with them. As the book shows, life of a rockstar and their family is not all rainbows and roses. Their life includes drama, a little mystery, maybe a stalker, lies, and misunderstandings amongst all the good.
I loved the element of a little mystery and how it played out, I could see this as happening in real life. I loved that the epilogues tied up some loose ends and you get the feeling they did get a true HEA.
I received a complimentary copy of this book and am voluntarily giving an honest review
She's the One is a fun rocker romance by Kaci Rose.
Not all rocker romances are made the same, but I am thrilled with this one. It pulled me in immediately. I adore the dynamics between Dallas and his best friend's sister Austin.
Brother's best friend is one of my absolute favorite tropes, and I'm so happy with this one. The attraction is high, the chemistry is hot, and everything about these two work for me. And the first times together is exquisite.
I love Dallas' full commitment to Austin. Going from his man whore ways to all-in dedication to her is fabulous.
I seriously love this book. The friendship issues. The strong bond between friends and siblings. Living together. The tour bus. The concerts. The lack of angst between the couple. It's all awesome.
This story follows them while they're on tour, adding a lot of entertainment to the tale. Add in some outside angst factors, and I couldn't put this book down.
She's the One is definitely worth a read when you're in the mood for a band romance. This Kaci Rose book is a fabulous friends to lovers/ brother's best friend romance. This is a must read the next time you're in the mood for either trope.
Dallas and Austin grew up together. Her brother Landon was his best friend and band mate in the rock group Highway 55. They were famous and the groupies loved Dallas. He was known as a playboy, but he was tired of the lifestyle and wanted to change his image , settle down and have a family. The only girl for him was Austin, and she was off limits. Austin lived in Portland Maine and when the guy she had been seeing casually for 3 months proposed to her in a restaurant, she said “no” and promptly.eft the restaurant and him. Behind. She moved out of her apartment that same night and went home to Nashville to her brother and Dallas’s home. Austin always had feelings for Dallas, but she didn’t think he was interested in her. Soon their friendship turns to more and Dallas is willing to do whatever it takes to make Landon see that he is serious that he is changing his ways. A well written storyline and wonderful, captivating characters that steal your heart. I loved this read and highly recommend this book.

She's Still the One: A Brother's Best Friend, Rock-Star Romance by Kaci Rose. It's a forbidden romance between now famous rock-star and his best-friend's sister. He is who his fellow rock-star has forbidden him from having his younger sister. Yet, “She's Still the One.”
Austin Anderson has just had an unpleasant break-up with a boyfriend. She packed up all her belongs and was going to her brother and best-friend's house to get away from the determined ex-boyfriend. When she arrived her brother Landon was not anywhere around, but Dallas McIntyre sure was. Austin had a crush on him since she'd known him. He Returned the feelings but had never had the courage to really let her know. Since Landon has been gone, they'd been drawn closer to each other a lot more than they ever had dared before. It was just so easy. It wasn't that her new feelings for Dallas the rock star, but for the Dallas she had grown up with. They're falling in love, and they must tell her brother that they want to be together, soon as he is back home. Until then they are inseparable. Landon does show-up of course it was unexpectedly.
Living Their Truth - Dallas has been in love with Austin for years, but he wasn’t able to pursue it, as she was his best friend’s little sister and he was warned that she is off limits. Austin has been in love with Austin for years, but stayed away because he was a rockstar playboy. When Dallas and Austin have to live in the same house on a daily basis, they are unable to keep their hands off each other and have to keep their relationship a secret. Unfortunately, their secret is not the only problem they have as a number of obstacles are placed in their path and it would take all of them coming together to resolve the issue plaguing their lives.
This book had me so captivated, that I just couldn’t wait to turn the pages to see how things would turn out. The twist in the story had me on the edge of my seat and trying to guess the identity of Brendan, which made the story really interesting. I will definitely recommend this exciting book as your next Friday night read.

'She's Still The One' was the one for me, pure romance all the way, one of those books that made me want to snuggle under the Duval and not get up until I had finished this brilliant story. I am still a sucker for what I class as a 'True Romance' story and Kaci Rose has produced one of the best!
'She's Still The One', is both the best friends to lovers book as well as a brother's best friend genre. Austin, her brother Landon and his best friend Dallas have been a trio since they were young kids, they are especially close as they all are without their parents. Now Dallas and Landon are big-time rock stars, they are all still really close. The only trouble is that Austin has crushed on Dallas for years, as has he, but bro code meant he never did anything about it, and to mask his true feelings, he has spent his time on random hook-ups, now Austin has come back home to the house they share, and all bets are off, he is going after what he wants, not sure that Landon is on the same page though!
This story really did give me that warm fuzzy feeling, that you Kaci Rose.
When Austin decides to move back nashville to be with her brother and his friend and band mate dallas she never intercepted that dallas had the same feelings for her like she had for him but dallas was a player and had been warn by her brother to stay away from his, sister but the chemistry between them was making it hard for them on the road and back home and keeping it a, secret from her brother was getting more difficult, but when someone from Austin past start making trouble for her the boys become more protective of her to a point where Austin and dallas nearly get caught out, will Austin and dallas finally have the courage to confront landon, Austin brother and also deal with the ex from her past and finally be together with dallas like she hope to. This is a romance of forbidden love that they being holding for years will Austin and dallas get their happy ending

Austin and her older brother Landon have known Dallas all their lives, and he is her brother’s best friend who she has had a crush on for years. Dallas and Landon founded a band together and share a house in Nashville, and Dallas has earned himself a reputation as a player. Austin always classes her relationship to Dallas which never works out for her, and when she has had enough, she packs everything up and heads to their shared home in Nashville. As the band is going on tour, she finds herself in close proximity to Dallas on a tour bus. Will they finally express their feeling for each other, or will Landon interfere? This is a well written story which is filled with secrets, twists, revelations, family, friendships, emotions, passion, love, and this is a humorous and entertaining page turner. I was totally enthralled throughout, and I look froward to reading more form this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
Dallas is a rockstar who started a band with his best friend Landon, and lives this life to the fullest. However, what others don't know is he's had a thing for Landon's little sister, Austin, for a long time but bro code of course. She's a girl who does casual now after being burned pretty good, and tends to stay away from Dallas & Landon's professional lifestyle as much as she can. Things take a turn when she comes home & ends up staying with them so the close proximity sets things in motion for them. This story has it all to make it impossible to put down. The twists & secrets revealed are totally worth all the stars because there's nothing I love better than to drop a f-bomb or two while reading. However, there's more like heat, and I was on the edge of my seat waiting on will they or won't they, not to mention what would Landon do if they did & he found out! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Dallas is a rock star who started a band with his best friend Landon. For a long time, he has kept his feelings for Landon’s younger sister, Austin, to himself. The bro code is in full effect! Austin is a casual dater because she compares every date to Dallas, and there is no one that even comes close to him. Normally Austin stays away from Dallas and Landon to let them carry on with their professional life. But when she comes home to stay with them, Austin and Dallas can no longer resist the feelings they have kept bottled up for so long. How will Landon react seeing the bro code blown apart? Will they all realize that Dallas and Austin have always been meant for each other?
This was a good story line with wonderful characters. It’s perfect when two people finally come together after loving each other for so long. Will they make it last now? Or will their love cause problems with Landon?
I'm a sucker for a good rockstar romance y'all. It's one of my go-to tropes in romance and oh yah, Kaci Rose got it in the spades with this new beaut. Sweet, sexy, swoony, angsty, slightly twisty in moments... big, huge fan of this baby and she's got a new fan in me.
She's Still The One is her newest release and what a journey this was. A *all in your feels* brother's best friend romance that hit most of my marks I need in my books. And these two, yes please! Austin and Dallas, what a pair they were. They both lit up my kindle from the very first moments they landed on it and gahhhh, did they give me one hell of a love story.
Unforgettable at times and unputdownable the whole time.
After another romantic relationship comes to an end Austin decides to visit her brother Landan to get some distance and ends up staying with him and Dallas. She has been attracted to Dallas for as long as she can remember but doesn’t believe they can be more than friends because of her brother Landon but touring with them becomes a gamechanger.
Dallas is very close to both Landon and Austin and knows that her brother wouldn’t want them together. Now that they find themselves spending time together denying the chemistry and connection between them is no longer an option, but will they have to choose between the love they share and her brother?
Austin and Dallas have always belonged together, and it was fun to see them realize it as well.
