Laura Lee is the USA Today bestselling author of sexy and seductive romance. She's best known for writing the Bedding the Billionaire series and the Windsor Academy series. She won her first writing contest at the ripe old age of nine, earning a trip to the state capital to showcase her manuscript. Thankfully for her, those early works will never see the light of day again! Laura lives in the Pacific Northwest with her extremely tolerant husband, two beautiful children, and some of the most ridiculously spoiled felines you’ll ever meet.

When she's not chauffeuring the kids around, writing, or watching HGTV, she probably has her nose in a book, with an iced matcha by her side. She's a sucker for spicy romances, always searching for new book boyfriends to add to her collection..

I have been waiting for this one! This is book 2 in Laura Lee’s Windsor Academy world.

Wicked Liars left us with one hell of a cliff hanger, and this one literally picks it right up.

I couldn’t put this down. The detail was unbelievable. Suspense was top notch. Seriously read this book in less than 12 hrs in between a million errands.

In Ruthless Kings, we get some more backstory to these characters and holy crap. Makes you fall in love with them even more.

I don’t like spoiler reviews.... so I’m not going to put any in here. I will say, read Wicked Liars first then be ready to be blown away with Ruthless Kings. Talk about a book hangover. My mind is reeling. I foresee a reread really soon!

Once again we are left satisfied, while wanting to scream at this author!
Jazz survives her attack, with so many unanswered questions, and suspects everyone. She doesn’t know who she can trust, or where she can be truly safe.
King is determined to prove to her that place is with him.
This book gives you the more you were demanding from the end of book one, but then it reveals things that leave you salivating for more. This world is bigger and badder than you ever thought. So many tragedies and wicked deeds are laced throughout this story, no one will leave fully unscathed. These characters find a way to get ahead, only to be smacked in the face with more obstacles to overcome.
I love these characters. Every single one of them. The bad guys are absolutely despicable, and the heroes have demons of their own to face. The love is strong, the sex is beyond hot, and this story is fantastically unforgettable.
I can’t wait to get my grabby little hands on the next book!

Oh my God!
Again with the cliffhangers, are you trying to kill me?!

I was very lucky to extremely honoured to receive an ARC copy of this book and I can tell you, Ruthless Kings is everything and more! I cannot even put into words how good it is. I've eagerly awaited this book since I stumbled upon Wicked Liars and left me in a book hangover for weeks! That cliffhanger all about killed me. Ruthless Kings does NOT disappoint. It is exciting, heartbreaking, frustrating and so f***ing sexy!

The boys are so hot it is insane.
I absolutely love Kingston, I love his loyalty, his determination and his love for Jazz.
I love Bentley so much it hurts. He breaks my heart so much I just want to wrap him up in a hug.
Reed, is quiet, dark and sexy beyond belief. It's always the quiet ones...

Jazz has to be one of my favourite book heroines. She is witty, sarcastic and fiercely loyal to those who she loves. She has such a huge heart and despite what she's been through and everything that has happened, she has remained strong throughout.

I love these characters so much. The story had me gripped and left me wanting more, although, Fallen Heirs will be the last book, and I'm not sure I'm ready to say goodbye to these wonderfully written, well rounded characters.

I cannot wait for Fallen Heirs! Welcome to yet another book hangover! 😩😩

Captivating

Yet another great book by Laura Lee. I loved book 2 as much, if not more than book 1. In this story, Jazz and Kingston embark on a relationship as well as uncover the mystery surrounding Jazz's and Kingston's families. The plot includes a welcome amount of storyline devoted to side characters -- best friends and hometown street friends, and their interactions with the heroine. This book is on the milder side of dark (comparatively -- at least for the books I regularly read).

Stay with me while I explain how much I adored this book. It was intriguing, constantly holding my interest. The pace was perfect, just the right about of detail, dialogue, prose, and character engagement. The steam was off-the-charts hot; chemistry, tangible. Jazz was likable, assertive (badass), yet sensitive, without an ounce of false bravado. It was quite enjoyable to learn about Jazz's background in southern LA, her roots, her friends, and what shaped her personality. Kingston was just as charming, showing the jealousy and possessiveness I love in an alpha hero. Together they were explosive. Bentley and Reed, the two other kings, carried their own compelling, heart-tugging stories without overshadowing the main storyline.

Let me take a moment for Bentley -- sexy, flirty, alpha, and attractive. Is there any wonder there was sexual tension galore in this book? I fell in love with Bentley.

The diversity in characters was prominently portrayed and well-done in this book. Additionally, the author imbued a sense of humor in the writing, quite a few tongue in cheek moments to be sure.

What can I say? I loved the book, love this series, and I look forward to book 3. This author has a new fan!

Ruthless Kings has been my most anticipated book of the year, besides the next book in this trilogy. I can say once an for all, Ruthless Kings lived up to the hype of what I was expecting, if not more than what I was expecting. When Lee left me with the BIGGEST cliffhanger of all with Windsor Academy (the first book in the trilogy), I was left crawling through my skin. I was dying a slow agonizing death (pun intended), that had me wanting to choke the life out of this author for leaving me hanging, but she made up for it... Mostly, and I say that because I want the rest, like right this second.

This trilogy is not for the faint heart. This author took me places in Ruthless Kings that had the unease snaking up my spine. She was so detailed specific, that made the reality all that more real. The suspense was ungodly. It had me looking over my shoulder because her writing is something that just plays like a movie in my head. I felt like I was trapped in this place, and couldn't get out. Which in all honesty is the truth, because I was sucked down the rabbit hole of this authors words, and this truly one of a kind story.

In Ruthless Kings this author left most stones turned, but there were some secrets revealed, and some questions answered that kept the development coming. Lee definitely turned the heat up in this one, and I am a fan. A HUGE fan. I learned far more about the characters than I thought possible, which made the story that more enthralling. I understood more of why these characters are the way the are, and why they did the things they did. It's all starting to turn full circle, and that in itself shows the depth and progression of the storyline.

I'm just gonna go ahead and say it..... This Trilogy is gonna be the Trilogy of the year, without a doubt in my mind. Laura Lee has already proven her worth and her abilities, and I know she will do more than justice for these characters and their storyline. Now, I am just hoping and praying she doesn't make me wait to long to finally get ALL the answers I need.

*I RECOMMEND NOT ONLY THIS BOOK BUT THE TRILOGY
*REVIEWED FOR REVIEWS FROM THE HEART

i haven’t had a lot of time lately to read lately but this series is saur addicting.

quick summary:

this picked up right where we left off, after someone stabs & almost r worded jazz in the woods after the homecoming dance. jazz wakes up in the hospital more unclear of who to trust than ever. kingston works hard to find jazz’s assailants & get her to trust him again, all while still trying to uncover the connection between jazz’s mom & their fathers.

a couple quick comments

1. i really hated the love triangle i’m so sorry. the way jazz kept stringing both bentley and kingston on was royally pissing me AWF. it didn’t have the most conventional ending but i’m glad she finally chose in the end bc i was so not interested in reading abt it in a the 3rd book

2. kingstons dad seriously needs to go to prison. not even for the shit he’s allegedly done, just some of the conversations he had w his own son had my jaw on the ground. genuinely he’s not okay in the head.

3. i feel like someone in jazz/kingstons inner circle knows more than what they’re letting on. we got some answers at the end of this but i still don’t think we know who’s fully pulling the strings yet.

4. someone recording and then leaking jazz and kingston hooking up in the bathroom at peyton’s birthday party would have fully been my 13th reason. idk how jazz does it. i fully would have changed my identity and dropped off the face of the earth. miss girl has been through everything and counting during her mere 2 months at this school & is still somehow mentally okay. she literally took headstrong to a diff level.

5. i’m glad we got to see some bentley depth finally!!!! the details of carissa’s s*icide were awful & i hate that bentley blames himself for it but i’m excited to learn more about him and eventually get to his book!

3.5 stars!! ⭐️

FIVE RUTHLESS STARS for Jasmine and Kingston 💜🖤💜🖤!!!

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Why Laura?!

Why did you finish writing this book with a cliffhanger?! 😭😭😭

I said that "Wicked Liars" was pure perfection but I was so wrong because this book even better than the first one and I don't how this is even possible.

Laura Lee once again showed and proved that she knows how to write a book that is full of tense scenes but hot and funny too.

I like the way she continued the story after the first book and I look forward to the sequel.

"Ruthless Kings" is the second book from the "Windsor Academy" series.

It's a dark bully high school romance with enemies to lovers trope.

Jazz and Kingston's relationship was complicated but after facing so many obstacles and realizing that they belong to each other, their relationship became so strong that no one and nothing can break it no matter how hard they try.

If you loved the first book, then you need this book right now!!!

Highly recommended!!!

P.S. Bentley is still MINE 🔥🔥🔥!!!

Ruthless Kings is the second book in the Windsor Academy series by Laura Lee. Spoken in dual perspectives, this story was just as intense, gripping, suspenseful and thrilling as the last one. It kept me on the edge of my seat from the beginning until the very end. I raced through the pages as quickly yet as slowly as I could, wanting to savor each and every word.

This story picks up right after the major cliffhanger that we were left with in book one. Jasmine wakes up to discover that she is in the hospital after being left for dead. She doesn't know who orchestrated the attack, therefore she has no idea who she can trust. Is it one of the two fathers involved in a shady side business? Is it one of the kings or maybe even the jealous ex-girlfriend? Everything is changing, but one thing that remains the same is the scorching hot chemistry between her and Kingston. And that scene with her, Kingston and Bentley? Hot damn, that will melt your panties right off!

I simply can't praise this series enough. I am absolutely loving it! Some secrets are revealed and some lies are uncovered, but we are still left in the dark as to who is running the show. My heart was racing and my anticipation grew with each turn of the page. I can't wait to get my hands on the conclusion to this story! If you're looking for something that is angsty, steamy and full of twists and turns, then this book may just be perfect for you. Five stars and more for Jazz, Kingston and Ruthless Kings!

TW for this 2nd book:
Mentions of assault, rape, suicide

I enjoyed this book, but nothing important happened to the majority of the book. They just kept going back and forth. And it keeps repeating.

The last 5% of it was shocking. IDK.

The deal with Bentley being in an almost threesome with them was also unnecessary. Jazz was having a panic attack, and that was the cure for it. -.-

I was not as happy about this installment as I was on the first book. I will read the last book and get this series out of my system. xD 🌸

⭐️⭐️⭐️

Trigger warnings:
Violence
Attempted rape
Talk of rape
Drug use
Talk of suicide

I take it back, this series is addictive. I loved when Kingston got annoyed at himself because he was jealous, pls- His signature response to literary anything is growling... And just to get it clear; no, she wasn't MADE for you.

Jazz is so mean, it's not even necessary most times.

The second-hand embarrassment is like nothing else, helppp-

I need the next book like yesterday.

This was so entertaining. I couldn’t put the book down. I love the fact that Jazz isn’t your typical female In romance books that doesn’t have a back bone. I like that the characters have to earn her trust.
She is truly one of my favorite h’s.

Also if you disliked Bentley in the first one , your mind will totally change while reading this one. I grew to love his character more and more.

I'm a lucky girl and got to read this book early! This was a perfect follow-up to Wicked Liars. I loved every page of it.

Ruthless Kings was insanely hot. Like, my friends, prepare to replace your Kindles, because they WILL catch fire. There's just no avoiding it. You also might chuck them against a wall a time or two, but have you ever read a good book where that doesn't happen?

Questions were answered, secrets revealed, and villains unmasked. But that doesn't mean everything was resolved. Oh no. The ending had me cackling, it was so evil and delicious.

I'm not going to tell you what happens in this book, only that it was worth the freaking wait! I can't wait to see where Laura Lee takes us in book 3!

Holy cow. I'm so shocked right now. But i can't say i didn't see it coming but still. Jazz did nothing wrong, but still everyone is targeting her. And Kingston only wants to keep her save but its getting harder and harder. He already failed her once, and now he has to gain her trust again. With all the stuff thats going on they need to stick together more than ever. Because someone still wants Jazz gone. All those secrets that get uncoverd it only leaves more questions. I can't wait to see what happens next! I hope Jazz and Kingston get the happy ending they deserve. And please please let Bently find a good girl to heal his broken soul.

Can we talk about this alternate cover?! I’m obsessed! After finishing book one, I HAD to move on to book 2 as soon as possible. I literally walked to the Barnes and Noble next door so I could download it onto my kindle (I was on vacation at the time so I needed wifi lol) and wow this book!!! It starts off right after the cliffhanger in book one. I don’t want to say too much because you need to read the first book in order to understand this, but wow is this addicting! In book 2, we get a lot more clues and hints as to what is really happening around Jazz and Kingston’s fathers, more drama, a close knit friend group, and even a scene inviting a friend to play👀 I’m obsessed with the bond Jazz, Kingston, Bentley, Reed, and Ainsley share. They’re like one big happy family who looks out for each other and you can really see their love for one another throughout the book. Jazz and Kingston are definitely textbook definition of relationship drama lol but they have such a strong connection and spark, I loved reading about them getting closer! These characters are just so likeable you become really attached to them and the story. The ending of this book had me SHOOK. I suspected something like that to happen, but to actually read about it?! WOW! So excited to be digging into book 3 to finally see everything unfold! I definitely recommend this series if you want a fast paced, entertaining, addicting, drama filled read! (18+ look up trigger/content warnings)

Another gripping read in a fantastic series.
Although there was a scene I wasn't expecting (normally authors say if they deviate from what readers were expecting), it didn't take away from the suspense of the overall book.
Loving the strength and bond of (& between) the characters.
Definitely another story that will send you on a rollercoaster of emotions with no safety bar.
Cannot wait to see what happens next.

I have been waiting extremely impatiently for this one to come out after we were left with a colossal cliffhanger at the end of Wicked Lairs. I desperately needed to know what happened. Will Jazz survive or will she bleed out alone in the woods before someone finds her? Who attacked her and why? Did Kingston or shit, maybe even Bentley have anything to do with it. Do they genuinely care about her? So. Many. Questions.

“Maybe I’ll feel differently once I’m clear headed, but right now, every person I’ve met since my mom died is a suspect.”

Here I thought nothing could top the first book and then Laura Lee goes and gives us Ruthless Kings. Every single thing about this book was absolutely amazing. Yes,we get some answers to the pile of questions we were left with after the first book. But then we get a whole new shit load of mystery and suspense leading to more questions. It was killing me as more secrets are revealed and Kingston, Bentley and Reed open up to Jazz but things start to make sense. What the hell is wrong with Kingston and Bentley’s creepy, old-ass, nasty fathers. Ugh...they are both pieces of work. I really hope they get what is coming to them. Tons of mystery in this book as they try to find out who attacked Jazz and out their fathers for the horrible shit they are doing while Jazz still doesn't know who to trust.

“You matter to us. Very few people fall under that umbrella.”

Besides all the mystery, suspense and drama going on there is also a whole lot of insanely hot, super sexy scenes. Like OMG so freaking hot. The chemistry between Jazz and Kingston was off the charts from the get-go but there was a ton of sexual tension between Bentley and Jazz in the first book. Is it wrong that I was hoping the whole time their party of two turned into a party of three permanently? Well, if it’s wrong, I don’t want to be right. I love Jazz and how kick ass she is. She’s one of my favorite characters I have read in a long time. Kingston is super alpha and insanely hot. How can you go wrong with a great combo like that? I love him but then damn, I also love Bentley. We find out some things about all their pasts in this book and oh, my heart hurt for Bentley. We can’t forget quiet Reed who kind of shocked me in this one. We also get introduced to some new characters in this installment that I am hoping we get to see a little more of in the next book.

“I’m sick of being surrounded by all these secrets and lies. I’m fed up with the uncertainty. I know we need to keep playing this game for the greater good, but I need something real too, and you’re the realest fucking thing I’ve ever known.”

That’s all I can say about this book without giving too much away. You just really are going to want to experience it all for yourself! I already know this series will be up there with my favorite read of the year. We are also left with another huge cliffhanger at the end of this one and I can’t wait for the next one to come out!! Loving this series so much!

As an author myself I always feel like it's a bad thing when I have to say that I have no words to describe a book but that's how I feel. Since the moment I hit the cliff at the end of book one I was telling Laura I NEEDED this book and holy damn did it not disappoint. But my NEED for book 3 far surpasses this one.

It's well known how much I love a strong heroine and Jazz hits that marker perfectly. She's not afraid to stand her ground or go after what she wants.

And Kingston? Oh my damn I LIVED for watching him fall to his knees (some times literally *wink*) under his alpha feelings for Jazz.

But I think more then anything it's the connection between all the main cast that does it for me.

If you are a fan of bully books YOU HAVE TO READ THIS SERIES!!!! It's a top rec and read from me!!

I still like Jazz and Kingston but I wish we got more information about the plot against Jazz and possibly her mother. At least now we know what a huge motive is money but there are still missing pieces to the murder mystery.

I have been craving this book after the HUGE cliff-hanger book 1 Wicked Liars finished on. Ruthless Kings picked up right where we left off and I was sucked straight back into the drama of Windsor Academy. Jazz, Kingston and Bentley feature most through this novel, the chemistry between these 3 characters is off the charts hot and it culminates into a scene you do not want to miss. Out side of the sexual tension and crazy hot moments, the story is driven and strong in book 2, just as it was in the first novel.

Jazz seems to come back fighting and she is more fierce and determined to not let these people win and live in fear. Kingston is finally willing to claim Jazz and open up to her. Letting Jazz in on what he knows about their families was also another step forward and they both make several discoveries along the way. That's not to say all is revealed, Oh no! As some questions are answered in part many more crop up as the plot thickens.

The novel is well paced and the momentum was kept high. Characters get meaner, actions taken against Jazz become more malicious and I was just enraptured from start to finish. There isn't much I can say without describing or spoiling the plot and where is the fun in that?! So I will say, if you want a multi layered plot with compelling characters that have depth and tenacity. A complex world of trickery and deceit with a whole lot of sexual chemistry then this series is the one for you!

Omg! The Windsor Academy books have me completely addicted. I couldn't out Ruthless Kings down from the moment I started reading it! It’s rare that an author maintains such consistent pacing and flow from one book to the next within a series, but Laura Lee proves herself a master storyteller. After the stunning and completely unforeseen cliffhanger in Wicked Liars, I couldn’t pick up Ruthless Kings quicker. Laura Lee didn’t disappoint. Jazz’s character continues to command the page and the relationships that have evolved between her and the Kings are fabulously explored. This isn’t a reverse harem series but there are moments that had me gasping and so hot under the collar! (Prepare yourself for the possibly of cold showers or have those batteries charged! These books are seriously sexy! 😉) Laura Lee pens phenomenal characters who are equally multi-faceted, show impressive strength of character and fantastically real! I guarantee you’ll come out of this with at least one book boyfriend and DYING for the final installment in the trilogy! As for the plot? FIVE. STARS. ALLLLLLLLL. THE. WAY! Let’s be real, I’m not about to ruin this series for you, so you’ll get nothing more then that. But I loved how unpredictable this storyline is. For a reader that’s been on a binge of dark, bully romances for some time now—at least the better part of 18 months—I’ve started feeling like I’ve read it all. And nothing about the Windsor Academy books left me feeling this way.

Oh, and lucky you, the final book in the trilogy, Fallen Heirs is now available, so you’ll be able to binge read these books! Since I discovered Laure Lee after both the first and second books were available, I considered myself to be extremely lucky not to have to stew over the cliffhangers at the end of Wicked Liars and Ruthless Kings. But I can tell you that even if I had, I would have considered it well worth the wait. Do yourself a favorite and one-click the Windsor Academy trilogy right this minute… you will be thanking me!!! I got to read the trilogy back to back and I've never been happier in my life to have access to an ARC –only for the final book, Fallen Heirs! Blogging for the win!

This picks up where book 1 left off and it picks up full speed ahead! Jazzs attack left her with more then just the physical to deal with. She has no idea who did it and who she can trust, she feels that her attackers knew her and she is determined to find out the truth no matter the cost. Kingston wants to help her uncover the truth but she’s also weary of him. Can’t wait for the next one

'Ruthless Kings' is the second part of the Windsor Academy series written by Laura Lee.

Book one of this series had one hell of a cliffhanger , so I was beyond excited for this book! And the author sure did not disappoint! This series is so amazing and I am a woman obsessed with this series!

This book picks off right where the first one ended and was an amazing suspenseful tale. The author had me gripped right from the start and I couldn't stop until the very end of the book! I read this book in one sitting and shouted at anyone who disturbed my grumpy ass!

I won't divulge much into the storyline as that would be a definite spoiler for anyone who has read the first book, so you all need to go into this one blind!! A definite recommendation to all the bully - dark Romance lovers out there!

It has felt like a lifetime waiting for this book! If you read the first one in this series you were completely shocked at the end. I couldn’t believe what I was reading so when I was able to get my hands on this I was beyond excited!

Jazz and Kingston didn’t have the perfect relationship but it was theirs. Jazz doesn’t trust easily so it was hard for her to trust Kingston. Now that trust is gone out the window and she isn’t sure how she is going to be able to move on.

Kingston is determined to win back Jazz’s trust and ruin everyone who caused her harm, but how is he going to get away with it? Life may seem perfect for him but the secrets his family holds are dark and he has no problem exposing them.

Life isn’t easy for these two but they have their love and determination to get them through anything!

Hot off the events of Wicked Liars, Ruthless Kings pick up right where the cliffhanger left us. Jazz in a place that she thought she wouldn't be. Questioning her place in this world. As being left for dead has made her wonder what next.
The web is tangled and she barely can keep straight herself so it's no surprise the way she acts in this novel.

The feisty Jazz is there but she has distractions and the reality is sinking in . Jazz isn't a pushover though so expect to see her come through when it matters. As she needs allies and the Kings aren't sick of her yet.

Laura Lee returns with Ruthless Kings and opens up further the secrets that were only hinted at. If you thought book one was treacherous with the way the Kings handled things. They were only getting started. This book takes a different direction have quicker then I expected but then life changing moments do have an massive impact on those who are close to the situation.

If you thought Kingston was crazy in the first one with his means and methods. Wait until you find out what happens in this one. He truly embraces the role that Lee has written about in the first book and takes the cake.

I think I was more surprise by the end of this book with this cliffhanger. It's sudden and leaves the door way more open for what happen next. I guess I have to make my own theories about the last book given the title as things are .....
