    1. I despise whipped cream. There, I admitted it in writing. Let the ridiculing begin.

    2. Even though I have lived as far south as Key Largo, Florida, and as far north as Maine, I landed in the middle.

    3. If I don't make a conscious effort not to, I will drink nothing but tea morning, noon, and night. Hot tea, sweet tea, green tea––I love it all.

    4. There doesn't seem to be much in life that is better than coming home to a couple of big dogs who are overjoyed to see me. My other family members usually show significantly less enthusiasm about my return.

    5. Singing in my bestest, loudest voice does not make my family put on their happy faces. This includes the big, loving dogs referenced above.

    6. Yes, I am aware that bestest is not a word.

    7. Dorothy was right. There's no place like home.

    8. All of the numerous bottles in my shower must be lined up with their labels facing out. It makes me feel a little like Julia Roberts' mean husband from the movie Sleeping with the Enemy, but I can't seem to control this particular quirk.

    9. I love, love, love finding a great bargain!

    10. Did I mention that I hate whipped cream? It makes my stomach churn to look at it, touch it, smell it, or even think about it. Great––now I'm thinking about it. Ick!

    Violet and Oliver were meant to be.
    They both had a past to overcome and showed that while your past can make you heartbroken it can also help you mend. There was one part to the story I wish we got more of and not sure if it is in any it the authors other books but if not I would like to read more on that.

    A story of a widow unexpectedly finding love again maybe ? Oliver and violet had a good banter going between them and chemistry. It was a very quick falling in love between them, I thought for him but it does make more sense when you get near the end and it was like wow wasn’t expecting that revelation . A very enjoyable book.

    This story was anything but heartless, it was full of heart, soul and passion. A heart that beat for one woman and one woman only. Call it what you will, be it fate, destiny, the stars aligning but it was something neither Oliver or Violet had any control over. Their story was witty and full of hilarious banter and interactions. However this story had so much heart that you could almost feel the beat of it. A story that took me on a emotional journey of finding your one and finally moving on. Oliver and Violet were two characters that oozed chemistry and had you feeling the connection almost immediately. This is a new author to me and this book has me not only in love with the Heartless Hunk and his chocoholic wrestler but with her writing in general and will have me coming back for more.

    After extreme encouragement from her best friend, Violet takes a chance on a new man after the death of her husband more than a year before. Oliver was on the reality show "Heartless Hunks" and has been deemed a "player." He's certainly not someone Vi would date, but she takes him to her hometown so she doesn't have to face pitying looks from her friends and neighbors. They are both very charming characters whose passions roar to life as she decides to have a fling for the weekend.

    A fun and beautiful love story with a big reveal that I didn't see coming. I should have because I love Ann Omasta's writing and have read most of her books. As a matter of fact, she even references some of her prior books. There's a lovely surprise with a fantastic ending! Keep them coming, Ann. I love them!

    That was incredible! I loved it from beginning to end! It was delightfully unpredictable and kept me on my toes! Every plot point made me happy. Every choice the author made for the story and the characters made me happy. I had a huge smile on my face the entire time I was reading, and my heart was full! I’ve been debating what specifics to share about the book other than how I felt while reading but I think I’m going to stick with vague reflection.

    This story has a huge heart! It’s sexy and fun and keeps your mind engaged. It’s a plot you think you know but … GAH, this was just great!! Another new to me author that blows me away from the start!

    The HEARTBREAK HUNK is a guy everyone hates because of how things turned out when he was on one those dating type reality shows. He has reputation as a player who doesn’t have relationships.

    Violet lost her husband a year ago and her friends suggest she let loose with a man to get back into life. Oliver agrees to spend the weekend with her in her hometown in Maine.

    The description of the small town in Maine on the coast really made me want to go there. Oliver and Violet have so much chemistry in and out of the hotel room, that it makes for a pretty romantic setting for part of the story.

    The return to New York leaves us with questions that have to be answered the main one being ‘will they see each other again?’ when they agreed at the outset it was a weekend fling. There are some intense moments when they get back that will keep you reading right to the last page.

    Oliver and Violet have an instant attraction and soon are spending all their time together. But Oliver is keeping a big secret that will tear them apart. With creative planning and major help from Violets friend they get their happy even after.

    This story is endearing in that it shows that after a huge loss you can find love again. Violet and Soraya together are Hilarious. I love how Soraya pushed Violet to go back to Maine for the weekend with Oliver.
    Oliver was already checking her out before a woman came up and he thought ruined any chance he had with her.
    There is a slight twist in the story before they get their HEA and it makes your heart twist, but they work it out.
