Some Like It Hot Kindle Edition
What do a grumpy goalie, a British billionaire, and a cinnamon roll firefighter all have in common? They all want me.
I’ve always been the feisty side-kick who’s up for anything. So after I’m trapped in an elevator with the gorgeous grump Blake Wilder, Mr. Hockey himself, I’m willing to listen to his scheme.
Turns out, the grouchy goalie needs a fake fiancée to earn his inheritance. I’m not real girlfriend material (my ex was clear about that), but I agree to help him out with the temporary farce.
But only if I can keep seeing the sexy fireman, Aidan, who rescued us from the elevator.
Oh, and my billionaire ex-boss, Simon—the one I shared a steamy kiss with just before I quit.
Talk about hot.
But the temperature only rises from there. Because the firefighter and the billionaire are also into each other.
Each of these guys make me feel desired and adored, and when it’s all four of us together we’re absolutely on fire.
Good thing this is only until the inheritance is finalized and my billionaire goes back to London. This could never last for long without one of us getting burned.

It was exactly what I needed. 3 perfect MMCs and a gorgeous hot mess FMC.
I’d forgotten this was a Why Choose so was absolutely thrilled then I realised.
I loved everything about it. Was it deep and insightful? Not at all, but it was lovely and heartfelt and sweet and spicy and really nicely written.
I loved the authors writing style, in particular the multiple POVs.
I read this one in a few hours and enjoyed every minute.
Can’t wait to go back and read previous books and am eagerly awaiting the next one!

Some Like It Hot by Emma Foxx is a tantalizing and playful romance that delivers on every level, from its quirky plot to its sizzling chemistry. This novel stands out with its engaging mix of humor, heat, and a unique twist on the fake relationship trope, making it a must-read for fans of contemporary romance.
The story follows the adventures of Elise Starling, a spunky and spirited heroine who finds herself entangled in a whirlwind of romantic complications after a chance encounter at a New Year’s Eve party. Known for her carefree attitude and tendency to take life as it comes, she never expected to be roped into a fake engagement with a brooding hockey goalie Blake Wilder, let alone find herself caught in a love square involving a billionaire - Simon, a fireman - Aidan, and her grumpy fake fiancé Blake.
From the get-go, the story brims with humor and unexpected situations. The meet-cute in the elevator, involving a shapewear mishap and a rescue by a sexy firefighter, sets the tone for a romance that’s equal parts steamy and laugh-out-loud funny. Emma Foxx’s heroine, with her vibrant personality and quick wit, is impossible not to root for as she navigates the complexities of her love life.
The plot takes a delightfully unconventional turn when the heroine becomes the object of desire for not just one, but three very different men—a grumpy hockey player who needs a fiancée to secure his inheritance, a charming British billionaire with a past connection, and a cinnamon roll firefighter who is as sweet as he is sexy. The dynamic between the four characters is electric, with each bringing something unique to the table, and the tension between them makes for an exciting and passionate read.
What really sets Some Like It Hot apart is the way it handles the multiple love interests. Rather than focusing on the usual love triangle, Emma Foxx explores a more inclusive and open-ended romantic situation, where all the characters are aware of and comfortable with each other’s feelings. The chemistry between the characters is off the charts, and the polyamorous undertones add a refreshing depth to the story.
Despite the light-hearted and steamy premise, Emma Foxx also weaves in themes of self-worth, personal growth, and the importance of following one’s heart, no matter how unconventional the path may be. The heroine’s journey from being the sidekick to finding her own voice and realizing her value is both empowering and relatable, adding an emotional resonance to the story.
Emma Foxx’s writing is sharp, witty, and full of heart. The pacing is brisk, keeping readers hooked as the story unfolds, while the dialogue is snappy and filled with banter that perfectly captures the chemistry between the characters. The steamy scenes are well-crafted, balancing passion with intimacy in a way that enhances the connection between the characters.
Some Like It Hot is a fun, sexy, and heartwarming read that’s perfect for anyone looking for a romance that’s as playful as it is passionate. Emma Foxx has crafted a story that’s not only hot but also full of genuine emotion and delightful surprises. Whether you’re a fan of fake relationship tropes, polyamorous romances, or just a good old-fashioned love story, this book is sure to satisfy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun why choose romance with pin up models, hockey players, firefighters, and billionaires!
Verified PurchaseSome Like It Hot by Emma Foxx is a new installment in The Chicago Racketeers world, and it was so flipping good! Elise and her men, Blake, Aidan, and Simon, absolutely give as good as they get, and it made for one heck of a delicious rollercoaster ride of a read.
Elise is sweet, feisty, and caring, trying to live her best care free life, going after what she wants, but sometimes struggling with accepting what she deserves. And she deserves so much.
Oh, Blake, my grumpy growly surly bear of a hockey player...
Aidan has that energy that is irresistible and endearing, working hard, playing hard, loving hard, and always with a smile.
And Simon? What a charmer! And a go getter. Laid back yet persistent in the best possible way.
This story was such fun, but jam packed with real chemistry, real feelings, real love. It's light on angst, heavy on connection and communication, and all about feeling good, being accepted for who you are, and love, romantic and friendship wise. What more can a reader ask for when looking to lose themselves in a book?
P. S. Loved seeing all the familiar faces!
P. P. S. So excited for the next one! I need more snarky firefighter talk in my life!

4.0 out of 5 stars So relatable!
Verified PurchaseWhat a lovely book that is just so freaking relatable. The FMC has ADHD. When I was a kid I was termed hyperactive because attention deficit wasn’t part of medical terminology. I can really relate to losing my focus, going from task to task, forgetting what day it is, forgetting important dates. My husband just tells squirrel at me now and I know I’ve gotten off track. So I will say this was really sweet. The MMCs are all so understand and adorable. They offered assistance and not solutions. Helped without taking over and Ms. Foxx gets how all this works. So three people who don’t know each other come together because of one woman. It was serendipitous. Multiple POVs, little bit of Instalove mixed in with fake dating, hockey ish romance, and polyamory. Don’t ask me to chose which MMC is the best because I won’t chose (it’s Simon) If you need a light book to clear away some of the darker romances out there, hit this one up. Characters from previous books come in as side characters so it might be a good idea to read those standalones first.
