Flames almost killed this ex-firefighter. And the sparks he’s feeling now might burn what’s left of his heart.

Sabrina
He was a charming S.O.B. when I dated him two years ago, but the Logan Carter who arrives at Bad@ss Builds is a shadow of the one I knew. This Logan is surly, bitter, and scarred — evidence of the fire he survived marks him both inside and out.
Does he really not remember me?

Logan
I’m upright and functioning. Isn’t that enough? I shouldn’t even be alive. And I definitely don’t have time for the bubbly, gorgeous woman from my past who can do better than me.
No matter how much I wish I could be the man she remembers.

Ok first I have to say that I love love love the fact that Sabrina is considered one of the Burns brothers despite the fact she is their cousin. Sometimes family is complex and crazy and I love that Sabrina is their sister through and through, but especially because their family is even more crazy and complex than normal. But hey that’s why they have their own reality TV show right?

Sabrina is one of those background characters that is just so dependable and there that you never really appreciate the fact that she has her own story until you're reading her book and appreciating how much is going on behind that polished surface. Because damn did Sabrina have so much going on in her life. And I loved that even though there was literally so much going on with her and she was drowning, and she was sad and wanted to wallow she wasn’t self pitying. She was just overwhelmed. And true to form she didn’t want to upset anyone around her or rock any boats she just wanted to get through it. Needless to say I loved her. And I loved her ability to appreciate people's mistakes and apologise for her own. The girl deserved a medal for dealing with all that was thrown at her and not throwing a pity party, or a punch.

Now Logan, he was his own, one man pity party. And although I got that he was drowning in an ocean of guilt he just couldn’t see past his own arse to see what he was doing to the people around him and I really wanted to smack him in the head. But with that said I could understand the people who loved him trying to drag him back to the land of the living and forgiving him for his selfishness. He didn’t do anything in a malicious way he was just existing and once he pulled his head out he wasn’t bad. And the whole Bella and the puppies thing sure as hell didn’t hurt any.

I’m really enjoying this series and I love that each book gives us a new story but also a little more of the characters we already love. It really is one big crazy family and every book it just keeps getting bigger and we keep getting more characters to hopefully get books on later. But right now I am hoping that we are getting Maddie and Nathan’s story next because I really can’t wait. But I also really need someone to stand up and look after poor Dylan because even with everything going on with Sabrina and Logan I could still feel his pain. So fingers crossed his isn’t too far away either.

How did I miss the first two books in this series? Boy am I sad cause those Burns' siblings sure are hot. Maybe someday.

This book is their "sister" Sabrina's book. She meets back up with her fire fighter boyfriend,Logan, who ghosted on her two years previous. Their journey back to love is bumpy and rocky, but in the end true love with the help of friends conquers all.

I will be sure to get the next books with the two other brothers and hopefully a third one with Logan's best friend.

DNF at 37%.

Logan had survivor's guilt. He & Travis and friends,
firefighters all, engaged in wildfire fighting. (Were they
trained to do this? ) These 2 lived but 7 buddies died.
Now, 2 yrs on, Logan acted morose & ill-tempered. He
now measured and installed fire suppression systems.

Sabrina (age 26 or 27) had blonde hair tipped w/ pink
(or red). She drove a purple Charger, squealed her tires
and stomped her feet at times. She expected all to adjust
to her mercurial ways. Was she the center of the Universe?

Add to this her 4 immature brothers (really cousins)
featured on a reality TV show about their custom
motorcycle shop. They were loud & didn't enhance the
story. On the + side they acted protective toward the h.

This crew, Sabrina's Mom too, seemed stuck in a junior
high mentality. The only adult seemed to be Sab's bestie
Maddie. This could have had substance & real emotions?
and a real romance?

This is a second chance romance with a wounded hero, some angst, a little wit, and some very HAWT times. This couple sizzled across the pages. The pacing was perfect, the story moving constantly and the addition of amazing secondary characters added to its charm.

I absolutely love this series! I’ve been waiting for Sabrina’s story and I was not disappointed.

I'm still on the fence with my rating for this book. I kinda want to give it a 2.5. Overall, the plot was good but it was the writing and execution I had a problem with. Some of the writing in the scenes felt juvenile and there were times when things got way too dramatic when it was unnecessary. Like, a character would blow up so much that it seems like a teenager would do, not an adult. It came to a point where I had to take breaks reading this book because I got so annoyed by how the characters responded to certain situations.

I was hooked on Logan and Sabrina from the first chapter. They've only been dating a few months when Logan leaves to be a firefighter. While she doesn't know why he's ghosted her, Logan was injured on the job and spent over a year in recovery. Now, it's two years later when he reappears in Sabrina's life and pretends not to know her. But Sabrina isn't backing down this time.

I'm a sucker for a wounded hero, and Logan hit all the marks! He is carrying such an immense amount of guilt over the fire that injured him and caused his friend's death. He's grumpy and moody, and has pushed everyone away. But he still yearns to be with Sabrina, even though he thinks she deserves more than the shell of the man that he is today.

Sabrina is a spitfire, and I loved her! Her life becomes quite the dumpsterfire in this book, but she keeps on keeping on, tenacious and determined. There's something she hasn't told Logan about what happened after he left town, and the way that secret blows up in her face leads to Logan ending things. By the time he finally gets his ish together, will it be too late for Sabrina to give him a third chance?

Spark is the 3rd book in the Burns Brothers series, but it is a standalone. I have not read the other books in this series, and I didn't feel like I was missing pieces of Sabrina's backstory. Her cousin/brothers are hysterical, and this huge family is all up in each other's business all the time. I loved this cast of characters, and I'm definitely interested in reading more! This story was so well-written, and I just felt everything that both Sabrina and Logan were going through.

A quote (from ARC):
“Travis snorted. “You remember what our P.T. told us during rehab? Chics dig scars. It’s true. We’re scarred just enough to keep the women interested but not disgusted. You’d get some serious

2.5 stars.
“Spark”, by Gillian Archer, features a scarred, tortured hero with a tender, soft side, and a heroine still hurting because of past misunderstandings and fate setbacks, in a story about second chances.
I liked the characters, even if not identifying with them, and found the beginning very engaging, along with the premise of the wounded hero. I was disappointed that Logan’s wounds weren’t the story focus and were underdeveloped or kind of forgotten as the plot progressed, as if the author only wanted to make a superficial, quick foray into the wounded hero trope.
I didn’t dislike the story, but it lacked the sort of intensity and depth I usually enjoy and so I skipped a lot: the sex scenes, the conversations about emotional/family stuff between Sabrina and her brothers/parents or between Logan and his friends and all the mundane activities involving puppies, babies and reality shows.

WE have a second chance love story between Logan and Sabrina, after getting together for two wonderful months, Sabrina really felt something for Logan, but he ghosted her when she came back and wanted nothing to do with her. Years later he comes to her place of work to install something and comes face to face with her but played it like he had no clue who she was which broke her heart, reopened the heartbreak, on top of that she finds her mother arguing with this man who she comes to find out is her daddy, who she thought was dead because her mother told her..Story was ok, we find out that Logan suffered in a burn unit and I kind wanted to know more about, instated of him feeling like he owed everybody, when whom he really owed something to was Sabrina, yet when he finds out he handled it wrong, However when Sabrina is in danger he comes thru.

rcvd an ARC at no cost to author..(netgalley) voluntarily reviewed with my own thoughts and opinions.

A few years back I started reading Gillian Archer's MC series but it disappeared from my radar and I could kick myself because the other day when I finished reading Build, Fast and Spark back to back, the first thing I thought was “man, how stupid am I that I haven’t keep track of this author”!!

I think the best part of this story is that it isn’t just a second chance for Sabrina and Logan to get it right together, but also a story of both Sabrina and Logan coming out of their pasts/circumstances and living life! I’d give you tons of details about that if I could but you know what I’m gonna say lol why buy the book if I tell you all the whys of it all? *shrug*

Here’s what I can tell you, this story, actually all three books, captivated me and held my heart in different ways. I was rooting for them from the beginning. They’re not overly dramatic or angsty but feel true to life. The story of Sabrina and Logan was passionate and emotional. From what you read in the blurb, you’re going to automatically assume that the heavy stuff comes from Logan …. Well, Sabrina gives him a run for his money in that department. I was stupidly stunned at how emotional yet not heavy this story turned out to be. It was glorious. I enjoyed this very much and I hope I continue to see a lot more from this author in the future!

Three and a half stars.

I haven't read the two previous books in the series but that didn't cause an issue as each one appears to be a stand-alone romance featuring one of the four Burns brothers or, in this case, their cousin Sabrina. The four guys run a custom bike shop called Badass Builds where Sabrina is the accountant and they have a very successful reality TV show based on the shop.

Sabrina and Logan were hot and heavy until he left to spend the summer fire jumping and almost died, his best friend did die. Now, two years later Logan is back but he's wracked with guilt and ashamed of his scars.

There was a good plot and interesting story in this novel but it felt like we had to go through several different genres to get there. First we had Logan acting like a jerk and ghosting Sabrina. Then, not five minutes later (okay like a day or two) the two of them are getting hot and heavy, so apparently he wasn't very good at following his own rules. Then we had what felt like heavy petting/sex scene after sex scene, no plot development, on the plus side Logan had stopped acting and talking like a extra from Sons of Anarchy. Finally, after the compulsory sex scenes we actually got some plot.

I think if I had to rate this book I would say two stars for the first 25%, three stars for the middle and maybe four stars for the end, but I can't be that specific so I've gone with a three, verging on three and a half stars. I would definitely be interested in reading another in the series to see what happens next.

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads, so here is my review.
This series is fun, flirty, sexy, intense, painful and full of love. I think this book is my favorite so far.
Sabrina works with her cousins at the motorcycle shop. When a man shows up to see about installing fire safety equipment, it turns out to be her ex-boyfriend. Logan used to be fun, loving and carefree, now he is bitten, mean and acts like he doesn't know her.
Logan realizes who Sabrina is the minute he walks into the motorcycle shop. But the sooner he gets through looking around the sooner he can get away from her. He is not the same man she knew and he doesn't want her to see his scares. He notices she looks as good or better than she did two years ago but she deserves someone better than him.
Can Sabrina get Logan to see that they still have feelings for each other? Can she tell him her secret without pushing him over the edge? Will Logan give them another chance? Can he accept help to make his future better?
This story is filled with Logan and Sabrina's pain that will have you crying and the Burns brothers and their wild ways will have you laughing. But when they come together, this is the best of the Burns Brothers so far, in my opinion anyway. I recommend you read them all and I think you can read them as a standalone too. So enjoy them, I really did.

*ARC kindly provided via NetGalley. This is my honest opinion.*

This is my first book from the author. I can’t believe that I haven’t met the Burns Brothers before now. I’m definitely changing that soon! This can be read as a standalone, so don’t worry if you haven’t read the previous book; you’ll be able to keep up just fine.

Sabrina works as an accountant for the Burns brothers. They are really her cousins but since they grew up together, they are more like annoying older brothers. Her life is simple without much drama. Everything changes when her ex-boyfriend, Logan, shows up again. Logan is an ex-firefighter. Two years ago, he was injured in a wildfire and he never been the same again. He’s scarred both physically and mentally. What he’s been doing the past 2 years is pushing people away.

Their first encounter after all this time is horrible. Logan acts like he doesn’t recognize her, and Sabrina is really mad about that. Logan has too many things to work through and he’s reluctant to let people in. Throughout the book, they slowly heal each other. Sabrina is a silent supporter to his struggles and he’s someone she leans on while going through some personal things.

You can fell the emotions in the book. The chemistry between Logan and Sabrina is palpable, but so is the hurt and the frustration. Life isn’t easy…However, the message that the story left me with, is that everything will work out eventually when you have people that love you by your side!!!

Spark by Gillian Archer is the third book in the Burns Brother series. Each book can be read as a stand alone. ( I read them out of order and was fine). Sabrina is the cousin of the Burns Brothers. Since they grew up together, they act more like brothers and sisters than cousins. The Burns boys are hot headed alpha males who act first and think later, usually. Sabrina runs the offices of her brother’s and mother’s businesses.

Within a short period of time, she finds out she has a father (who she thought was dead), the man she loved reappears and is certainly not interested in her and she has a huge fight with her mother and is not speaking with her. Talk about a bad week.

Logan carries the weight of the world on his shoulders. He felt such guilt. After all his friend died because he convinced him to work on a fire that was away. He was badly burned and the visible scars are just the ones you can see. Logan pretended he didn’t know Sabrina, because he was ruined.

The book is about two people finding each other even through the hardships that they both endured in the past. It certainly reminds us that life is full of plot twists. Spark by Gillian Archer was a pretty good addition to the Burns Brothers Series.

4.5 Stars for Spark book 3 in the Burns Bothers Series.
I missed reading book 1 in this series but that didn’t stop me enjoying Sabrina and Logan’s story if fact it left me wanting more from this family snd their friends so I will be picking that book up as soon as time permits.
Sabrina and Logan have history and now they find themselves back in the same town she needs to know what he ghosted on her 2 years ago, why he never returned her calls or text messages....
This second chance love story is not an easy one, there are twists and turns as well as a fair few bumps along the way for this couple but the road to true love can often be a difficult one and if you can get past the bumps and still be together you know you are meant to be. I love the characters and I love this authors style of writing, she makes me feel like I’m part of this group of family and friends who are sharing there love stories with us. I can’t wait to read book 1 and then I look forward to book 4 which I really hope is Logan’s best friends story.

Logan and Sabrina had a very steamy and romantic relationship years ago before tragedy struck both the only difference between the two was Sabrina tried hard to reach out to Logan and all Logan did was hide behind his pain and guilt. Now they are face to face with each other again, the pain is still there, but also there is hate with a touch of longing and loss. Can they help each other heal old wounds or are they doomed to be lonely and without each other forever? I loved the brothers and they way they treated Sabrina as a sister instead of cousin although Nathan flew off the handle again, he seemed to slowly reel himself back in and trying to learn from his mistakes, so I can’t wait to see what happens with him. Also, Vanessa kind of made me mad because she held to this idea that if she kept Logan around, he would want her and help keep the memory of her husband alive, but he wasn’t wanting that and Travis being mad at him for it was crappy since Vanessa set up this delusion and not Logan. Other than that, I loved Logan and Sabrina’s story even if it was heartbreaking in some moments.

Sabrina handles the administration of the bike shop that her cousins own when the last person she expected to see again walks through the door. He not only provides fire protection services, but he is also the man she was in love with until he not only left to fight fires but left her as well.

Logan is surprised to see Sabrina there but rather than acknowledging their past he pretends that he doesn’t know her. When he left her two years earlier to fight fires, he had ever intention of coming back, but the tragedy that ensued left him a damaged man.

This is a second chance at love story between a man who need to heal from the past and a woman who has been handed a lot to handle in the present. Along the way they may just find out that that the love and support they show each other may give them the future they have always wanted.

Spark by Gillian Archer is book Three in the Burns Brothers Series. This is the story of Logan and Sabrina. I did feel this could be a standalone book if you wish to do so.
Logan and Sabrina had dated for a few months a few years ago but he went off on assignment for a fire and he ended up not talking again. Of course Sabrina was hurt by this. Now in their present day Sabrina is helping out her brothers at their bike shop when Logan walks back into her life. Logan isn't the same man she once knew. Logan isn't the same confident somewhat cocky man he used to be, now he is scared on the inside and outside. Logan doesn't feel worthy of Sabrina so at first he tries to brush her off, but this is their second chance at love.

Spark (Burns Brothers #3) by: Gillian Archer

Archer reeled me in with a heartbreaker of a bad boy and a spitfire of a heroine. Spark is all kinds of combustible. Sabrina and Logan bounce flames of of each other that will easily set the heart on fire. Logan is a wounded alpha with the scars to prove it. He has quite a bit to answer for when it comes to his previous behavior told Sabrina. Sabrina offered him her heart, but received nothing in return. Fast forward two years and one almost tragedy and Logan comes face to face with his unpleasant past. Could he have finally gotten the message when it comes to life and pride? Step into a world where the temperature rises with ever page you turn. Spark pushes buttons when it comes to emotions and scored a perfect 10.

I enjoy this series so much. My only upset is that the books are so far apart.

Sabrina and Logan just started dating when Logan left to fight wildfires and things were never the same again. Sabrina didn't hear from him again, and Logan lost one of his best friends in that fire and his life changed forever. He never contacted Sabrina again and never spoke to her again.
Until he walked into the Burns garage and comes face to face with her. What he didn't expect was for all the old feelings to come back again.
Sabrina thought that she and Logan had something, but then he left and she never heard from him again. Now he's back and he pretends like he doesn't know who she is? How will she cope with this. She can't go through this again...

I really enjoy this series. My heart was so sore for both these characters. Both of them hurting in their own way, and dealing with it in their own way. One through anger and frustration and the other coming across as a big jerk. Definitely one of those stories you wouldn't want to miss out reading.

M/F Second chance romance
Triggers: Miscarriage
I was given this book for an honest review by Wicked Reads.

Sabrina loves her brothers. She works in the background of their very successful bike shop. With her past mostly hidden from them, she knows that someone out there is for her, she just has to be patient to find them. However, with as many brothers as she has, finding someone who they approve of is tough.

Logan was once a firefighter. But, when tragedy strikes, he knows that he can't go back to that. However, leaving that life behind is easier said than done. His new job allows him to still keep up with fire safety, just in a different capacity.

When Sabrina and Logan meet again, a few years later, it's a chilly reunion. Both remember what they did have and what could have been, but with trust gone, they will both have to decide if they are worth fighting for. There were times when I just wanted to scream at Logan. He was stubborn and very immature. Also, while I really enjoyed the story, it felt more YA than the others.

Overall, it was enjoyable and I liked watching both Sabrina and Logan figure out that they were worth it.

First of all I didn't realize this was the third book in a series until after I already had it in my possession. No worries though I bought the first two so that I could read them all in succession.

I was able to binge read the three books that are currently in this series and wow. This series is definitely something and I hope that this author continues it for more books. That being said, I felt like this book was the weakest out of all the books from this collection. Unlike the first two books it just felt a little flat for me. You could see the romance build but there was no real chemistry bursting off the page for me. In addition, Gillian Archer, chose to highlight Sabrina's relationship and to me it would've been better if she finished the other two brothers romances then did two novels about Sabrina and her moms relationship. Overall I'm excited to read the next book which I'm hoping focuses on Nathan.

Talk about chemistry!
Fire and flames!

Sabrina and Logan are meant to be! They just simply should be together. And no amount of drama or time can prevent this HEA!
I loved getting glimpses of the brothers. And of course, now I can hardly wait for Nathan’s story. I really hope his is next.

Great story!
I highly recommend this one! Can be read on its own. But the whole series is great!

Sabrina Wagner works as an accountant for her cousins company, Badass Builders. Two years ago she was in a relationship with Logan Carter until he had to leave to go fight a fire and she never heard from him again.

Now 2 years later she finds herself face to face with him again in the shop but he claims he doesn't know who she is and the once nice guy has turned into a rude and bitter guy.

Can Sabrina convince Logan of what they shared in the past or will the injuries he suffered in the fire change everything about him?

This was such a great book with so many emotional moments!

Sabrina was a great character and I liked getting to know her more in this book. I loved her loyalty to her family and how much her mom and her cousins meant to her. Yet this book also presents certain challenges for Sabrina with her family and I was shocked at everything that was revealed to her and I was also proud of her for how she handled everything.

Logan was such a jerk at the beginning and I hated how he treated Sabrina. That being said when you discover how much guilt he is carrying with him, you can understand why he believes he doesn't deserve any happiness and how he hates how his body now looks. The guilt over Jay and then having to deal with Vanessa was tearing him up. Yet Logan never helped himself heal either and I was worried about how he was going to deal with everything.

There was still so much unfinished between Logan and Sabrina over things that happened on which they didn't get closure for and some of it was much heavier than other parts. I was so happy when things started happening between them again but Logan needed to trust more in Sabrina and you could tell he still wasn't there.

At a certain point everyhitng blows up in a huge way! I was so mad at the cousins for doing what they did and how Nathan completely flew off the handle and I felt horrible for Logan. Then I was so proud of what Sabrina did and then I was so mad at Logan for how he reacted to everything and my poor heart shattered for Sabrina.

It was interesting that the author brought back George Burns in this book who is the father of Sabrina's cousins. I knew he wasn't going to go away easy and I kind of guessed what was going to be involved and I was right but I still really enjoyed how it all played out as it made sense.

The very end mended my heart and made me do a happy dance once again!!

This Burns Brothers series is fantastic, every book is different but all connect and each reveals more about the family and it’s dynamics. Each have relevant issues about every day life and this story is about Sabrina Wagner, the cousin of the brothers or little sister as they think growing up together and so close. I really like that dynamic too.

I love these characters, they are so real and say things as they are without any rubbish getting in the way. They may have a tendency to be a bit brutal with their honesty though. 😆 The sense of humour throughout the story is on point and you often find yourself chuckling out loud.

Logan Carter is a complicated character and one who at times I wanted to shake but he had his reasons. He is endearing though and yummy to boot. Sabrina has an inner strength that she’s had to draw on lots of times but in this book it is strained quite a bit. I enjoyed her strong personality and the way she gives as good as she gets. She certainly doesn’t let the men in her life walk all over her, including Logan, which is terrific to see.

A great balance between some deeper elements about a variety of emotional traumas and situations that run deep and are handled well and a light, fun story with a fabulous romance.

A Bad Boy's Second Chance Romance (Burns Brothers Book 3)

📚💕⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💕📚

OMG what a deep read!

In the third book in A Bad Boy's Second Chance Romance we have Logan and Sabrina’s love story.

What a rocky start these two had, but what a beautiful story it is.

The writing is flawless, and the words are so captivating, the plot had so many twists and turns and none that I was expecting, and many shocking moments. I really enjoyed this book and it kept me engrossed throughout. I really loved the characters and the way they interacted with each other. This is a fun, hot, romantic must read book and I would definitely recommend this book to anyone.

Authors Blurb: Sabrina
He was a charming S.O.B. when I dated him two years ago, but the Logan Carter who arrives at Bad@ss Builds is a shadow of the one I knew. This Logan is surly, bitter, and scarred evidence of the fire he survived marked him both inside and out.

Does he really not remember me?

Logan
I’m upright and functioning. Isn’t that enough? I shouldn’t even be alive. And I definitely don’t have time for the bubbly, gorgeous woman from my past who can do better than me.
No matter how much I wish I could be the man she remembers.

This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in dual POV my personal favorite this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know your 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.

Thanks Netgally for letting me read and review.📚💕

3.5 Stars Was A Slow Burn for Me

Spark is the third book in the Burns Brothers series, this one featuring thier sister. A girl with four mega-alpa brothers has got to have a little drama in her life. Yes?

Right away we meet Sabrina and Logan in the past. Both wild and free, not necessarily looking for forever, which is why Logan was so blase about telling Sabrina he got new orders to ship out and fight fires away from home during the summer. Sabrina is of course super annoyed and we flash forward two years. Sabrina is working with her brothers at the bike shop when a very different Logan enters her life once again.

So starts the drama, or more drama I should say. Sabrina never stopped loving Logan while he can barely love himself anymore. I wasn't too fond of either of these characters. For thier age, (late twenties) they seemed very immature in thier thinking. I get that Logan had a rough time and he wasn't really written as a complete a-hole, but the guy came across with zero personality. That combined with all of Sabrina's personal drama, which took away from our wounded hero, made the story hard to get through at times.

The book is well written, an ARC copy, so there are a few missing words here and there, overall a sweet second chance romance. We are not completely focused on Sabrina and Logan. Every one of her bothers has a say, along with her parents. As the third book in the series, Spark reads well as a standalone. While Logan and Sabrina didn't necessarily spark my interest (ha ha get it), I wouldn't mind checking out the first two books, or the one coming up next. Lots of interesting tidbits came out about these Burns brothers.

Just wanted to add a quick word of warning, this book does mention and in passing deal with miscarriage.
I haven't read a book for a little while with a broken hero. Logan and Sabrina were in the early stages of a relationship when he left to fight wildfires. After he was injured and lost one of his best friends in the fire, he decided that Sabrina was better off without her, not realising what she might be facing herself.
I liked Logan, he clearly had a lot of issues to work through. I wasn't so convinced about the way that he dealt with meeting Sabrina for the first time again. Other than that he was really nice, despite the issues that he was battling with. Sabrina is obviously a good match for him, although, as with many romance novels, a bit more communication would help. Much of this book is about not trying to protect the other person too much, to trust that they are able to deal with things, rather than trying to shield them. A number of characters face this in the course of the story, not just Logan and Sabrina.
This was a good read. It's a standalone story, although I am interested to go back and read the other books in the series and possibly future ones too.
I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
