He left to protect me.
He promised to come back.
He didn’t.

I moved on. Twelve years later he’s back. He claims he wants me back, determined to protect me and my son.

Each vow, every possessive kiss, feels like he’s mine. But he’s not the same man I remembered.

But I can’t forget that underneath his hard body, dark stare, and seductive grin, he’s my undoing.

If he walks away again, I won’t survive it.

Eva Winter is becoming one of my favorite authors. I haven't read one of her books that I didn't like. Affection is no different. I loved Daniel in how was his own man and didn't become like his family. I loved how he protected Ainslee. I loved Ainslee for being strong to be with Daniel and not think Nad of him. Good book.

I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a complimentary copy.

Loved each book in the series but Daniel’s story was my favorite. Perfect mafia live combination. I don’t need Prince Charming I need a dark knight.

I did enjoy this book… Early on we can see that this couple love each other, and I thought it was a nice change from similar books in this genre but there were some issues with the storyline; if you live in the UK or Scotland, you would never refer to a crime as a felony and you would never “ put your foot on the gas “ you would put your foot on the accelerator… lastly I was dumbfounded by how Ainslee dealt with her ex’s murder..
