Poppy has a way with words, she has been able to craft a career out of her writing talent. Mostly doing freelancing for people who struggle to find the right words, particularly when they are ‘courting’ someone or writing something for a special occasion.

Dylan is one of her most frequent clients. Always looking for the magic words to go with flowers when he is wooing his current object of desire - these seem to change every few weeks or so. And then Jasmine comes into his sights after not having laid eyes on her for many years. She was the girl he was crushing on in college who never gave him the time of day. He is going to need to work hard to get her to say yes to a date. Poppy will have to sharpen her pencil for this very important wooing.

Luring Jasmine turns out to be much harder than he anticipated. She is not interested in the usual things that woman like, so big gestures and gifts will not work with her. In fact, if anything she seems completely disinterested in Dylan. This is not something he is used to at all, he has never had to work hard for a woman’s attention.

One night as his sits there pondering this predicament, trying to find the answers in a glass of something amber he crosses paths (bars) with Poppy and they end up spending hours talking and drinking, which almost leads to crossing a line that neither of them ever entertained crossing with each other.

All this time that Poppy has been Dylan’s wordsmith she has never really taken the time to get to know him, she thinks of him as a bit of a cocky, shallow player. Maybe there is more to Dylan than his ability to charm the panties off women? Dylan is just as surprised as Poppy in this new development of what has been a strictly professional arrangement. Things just seem so easy with Poppy, she isn’t like the women he usually is attracted to but there is just something about her that seems to be getting under his skin.

As Dylan struggles with his feelings for both Poppy and Jasmine he begins to rethink what he wants. If he had to choose between the two women right now, who would he rather be with?

This was another fun, light hearted read from Lila Monroe.

4 Cyrano stars!

In honour of the month of February and Valentine’s Day I picked up this book, well, because it has ‘Cupid’ in the title, so why not? This book was just so sweet and cute! It totally reminded me of watching my favourite rom-com movies back in the 90s. (yes, don’t remind me just how old I am)

Poppy is a modern day Cyrano, carefully crafting notes, email, letter, vow, etc. for those who have a difficult time finding just the right words to express how they feel. I loved her quick wit, her devotion to her clients, and her girl-next-door persona. She had a number of really adorable clients and their stories were so fun to read.

"They say swans mate for life, and although it took me far too long to find you, I can't think of anyone else I would rather spend my days with."

Dylan is her long-time repeat client. More of a playboy who uses Poppy’s talents to get him back into good graces with his bevy of beauties. I have to admit that I didn’t like him in the beginning, always looking for the next girl to woo. He asks Dylan to catch him his old college crush, which ends up bringing out all of his old insecurities and awkwardness.

I loved the relationship between Dylan and Poppy. How it developed from employer-employee, with Poppy thinking of him as nothing more than a man-whore, to friends to much more. They had such easy conversations, witty banter and, once they got together, some hot chemistry.

If you’re looking for something light, cute, funny and just all around fun to read, then I’d recommend you read this one. I’m hoping that the rest of the books in this series are just as wonderful!

I found it difficult to put down because this novel was so jovial, enjoyable, and amusing. The humor and the witty banter between the major characters were fantastic. From the first page, I was engaged, and I found myself grinning as I turned the pages!

I adored Poppy and Dylan, both individually and especially when they were together. These two struck a chord with me for some reason. It was a pleasure to read since they were so likeable and relatable.

The relationship between Poppy and Dylan was perfect. They had such great chemistry, humor, and attraction. She was the ideal balance of beauty, wit, and inherent goodness, while he was the ideal blend of seductive, sweet, and dashing. Together, they were quite sexy!

I absolutely loved how the plot developed and how the dynamics between the main characters shifted from an annoying "employer-employee" relationship to a cozy, humorous friendship before they spent some time together getting to understand one another and finding there is something more intriguing behind the façade. The novel includes the necessary amount of angst, but it isn't excessive and fits the plot and these characters just fine.

If made into a movie, I'd love viewing it because this story read like a terrific hottie. I was pleasantly surprised by this novel and am glad I read it. This is the best romantic comedy I've read so far this year! :)

It was undoubtedly uplifting and a great read for the new year! Another excellent read for breaking out of a reading rut.

Cupids Anonymous is adorable,I definitely enjoyed it.

Poppy is a modern Cyrano, she writes every kind of romantic notes for her clients and Dylan is one of her regular customer. He is a serial dater and he often needs some sweet words to earn his way back into his models lookalikes dates' good graces.

I liked how the story progressed, how the dynamics between the main characters change from an insufferable "employer - employee" relationship to a comfortable, funny friendship (and maybe to something more) when they spend some time together getting to know each other better and finding out there is something more fascinating behind the facade.

If you want to spend a few hours of these hot summer days reading a sweet book you have to 1-click this one.

Gah! This was my first time reading Lila Monroe, and I enjoyed it immensely. From the very first page, Cupids Anonymous was a lighthearted, fun and entertaining story that I simply didn't want to put down. Poppy and Dylan were perfect together. I absolutely loved their chemistry, banter and attraction. He was the perfect combination of sexy, sweet and debonair while she was a wonderful mix of beauty, wit and innate kindness. The two of them together were fiery hot!

Poppy Hathaway is the girl next door type that has a lyrical way with her words. She uses this talent to pen terms of endearment that those in love are unable to express. Dylan Griffin is the confident, wealthy and successful owner of a chain of hotels. He is also a playboy and Poppy's biggest client to date. When he comes to her with a new job, it proves to be a doozy. She soon finds that she's out of her depth and falling in love with the man himself. But will she be able to find the right words to win his heart?

Cupids Anonymous is fun, sexy and just an overall good time. The story-line was refreshing and entertaining, and the author delivered it with lots of witty, well-timed banter that amped up the addictiveness of this perfectly executed romcom. I devoured this book in just a few hours, laughing and loving it the whole way through. Well done Lila Monroe! 5 Fantastic Feel Good Stars!

Every book I read by Lila Monroe just gets better and better! Cupids Anonymous is a playful and swoony insta-hit that gives all the sizzling and lighthearted feels.

Poppy and Dylan were fantastic characters! After reading the sneak peek at the end of Frisky Business, I knew we were in for a real treat and couldn’t wait to read their story. Although Poppy and Dylan’s connection was initially professional, their relationship effortlessly transitioned to a quirky friendship that had its fair share of comedic moments and flirty sexual tension. Their character growth matched perfectly with the unique storyline, and portrayed both characters strengths and weaknesses as strong plot points within the story.

Now usually I fall head-over-heels for every male character written by the author. But in this book, Poppy stole my heart completely! Her personality and optimistic outlook on relationships and love was super infectious, but it was her hardworking determination to achieve professional success on her own that really showed how strong of a character she really was. Don’t get me wrong, I go weak in the knees for a reformed playboy character, like Dylan, but Poppy was a breath of fresh air and I couldn’t help but love her.

Cupids Anonymous is the perfect summer rom-com, a fun and charming must-read that will leave you smiling from ear to ear!

Poppy and Dylan are just so ...... *swoon*

I don't know how Lila Monroe does it, but each new book has a fresh feel to it. I've read other rom-com's where the characters and/or situations start to feel very 'samey', but I never get that feel with this author. I would have read Cupids Anonymous in one sitting if sheer exhaustion hadn't made it impossible to focus on the plot.

If I had one wish, I'd love to see the author shake up the standard rom-com formula of How, why and what happens after varies with each story, so it's not a huge issue. Just a little bit of me would love to see it move away from that set path.

This was just such a warm hug of a story, yes there's some angst, certainly there's lots of lust and of course (since it's a rom-com) there are plenty of laughs along the way. However whilst the emotions are there to feel and experience, you are not put through the wringer. Instead you are gently caressed by them as you take this wonderful journey of mis-haps, mayhem, love and romance.

5 Star Review of Cupids Anonymous by Lila Monroe

Lila Monroe had me from chapter one in this fun, quirky and oh so entertaining read about Poppy Hathaway and Dylan Griffin.

Every time I read a book from this author I
I think I have a new favourite and here I am thinking it again.

If you need a love letter written or a grovelling apology then Poppy is the woman to see. Dylan wants her help to woo his first love, the one who got away.

I loved Poppy and Dylan, both separately and particularly together. There was something about these two that got to me. They were so easy to like and relate to and it made for a great read. I loved the journey they travelled from employee, to friends and finally to lovers.

Lila Monroe is an author who knocks romantic comedy books out of the park. Her books are, sweet, spicy, romantic and so funny that you cannot help but fall in love with her characters and her stories. I never fail to smile when I read a Lila Monroe book.

Cupid for Hire by Lila Monroe is the first book in the Cupids series.

Poppy is a matchmaker through the power of words and the one all her friends go to. Through disaster relationships to quick flings, Poppy never stops. That is until her friendship and matchmaker job with Dylan changes and they realise they have an attraction toward each other.

The romantic comedy has POV’s from both of the main characters, with the main focus being from Poppy.

Also this is a great introduction to the series. Overall you get a feel for some of the future main characters in the Cupids series, whilst also having this story end on a HFN.

SUMMARY
Poppy, on a tree branch in Central Park, coaches a man through his marriage proposal. Luckily she doesn't fall until after the couple have left. Dylan finds her, laughs. He's the best client of her Cyrano business. He needs the apology package for Gigi.

Poppy checks out an office. It would be perfect. But it, like Dylan, is out of her league. She'll keep working out of a coffee shop and the library.

Poppy goes to a club opening with her friends Natalie and April. She bumps into Dylan. He sees someone, hires Poppy immediately to get him a date with Jasmine, a girl from high school.

The ladies go to a yoga class the next day that Jasmine teaches so Poppy can do recon. She left the corporate world to start this studio and she has a beauty products line. She asks her brother, who's in social media, about her. Jasmine has ethics, won't endorse a product she doesn't believe in. Poppy finds a Deepak Chopra quote, tells him to not send candy with it.

Women always love chocolate. Dylan sends 3 pounds. Kyle overhears, knows Dylan asked a girl named Jazz to prom, swallowed a bug while asking. He decided to go to Jasmine's studio.

Dylan was in love with Jasmine in high school. She probably just saw him as a tongue-tied dork. He's too nervous to go into the studio, heads to the cafe across the street, calls Poppy. Then Jasmine comes in. She's busy tonight, but maybe next month. Jasmine leaves. Poppy is aghast at his lack of polish and charm. Dylan offers her $50k if Jasmine goes out with him.

Poppy takes flowers and a note for Jasmine to Dylan's hotel. He has her test mattresses with him. He then does the thrust test, she gets embarrassed, he says loudly Poppy you little minx. They laugh together. He tells her he's inviting Jasmine to the soft opening of his new hotel in the Catskills.

Poppy goes on a blind date. While Chris takes a call, Poppy gets a text from Natalie of a poem Chris wrote and posted, an ode to anal sex. When Chris gets back, Poppy sees everything as a double entendre. She escapes to the bar, busting up laughing. Dylan's there. “She said no. No to drinks, no to the Catskills, no to me.” He invites Poppy to drink with him. She tells him she's on a date and needs to figure out a way to get out of it. Dylan tells her to go sit down, he's got her. She sits, Chris invites her home. Dylan comes up, acts like her ex who's still in love with her, asks her to come back to him, they leave together.

Over drinks, she tells Dylan about the date and poem. He laughs. He tells her he's wanted to date Jasmine for 15 years. He asks how long they've worked together. 13 women, and she hasn't had 13 dates in 5 years. Why not? You're pretty enough. They get drunk, play truth and dare. He invites her to the Catskills to help him get Jasmine.

EVALUATION
This is a light read with great situational humor. I read it after The Discovery of Witches trilogy, knowing it wouldn't have depth of characters, setting, politics, etc. It was exactly what I'd hoped it would be: refreshing.

RECOMMENDATION
Perfect for adults looking for a quick romance.

FAVORITE QUOTES
Is there anything better than taking an hour-long bubble bath in a hotel tub you won’t have to clean?

“We’d be luminous too, if we ate a vegetable once in a while. And no,” she cuts me off before I can reply. “Carrot cake doesn’t count.”

“The most important thing is to speak to someone in the language that matters most to them.”

“The past isn’t up for discussion, you don’t need to feel the need to apologize for your past self’s decisions.” I blink. “That sounds . . . mature. I was just going to stress-eat and make a list of all his most annoying habits.” “That works too.”

I take another sip of the worst cocktail in the world. It tastes like heartbreak and misery with a side of hangover, but I don’t care. I just want to make this ache in my chest go away.

“You think being in love is easy? You think it’s all hearts and flowers and butterflies? Love is damn hard work. It’s messy, and uncomfortable, and scary as hell. But unless you’re willing to put yourself out there—the real you, not this playboy, hair-ruffled bullcrap—you won’t ever know what it’s like to have someone love you, unconditionally. And you want that, don’t you?”

Cake, at least, doesn’t lead me on and break my heart. Cake is always there for me. And always will be. On my hips.

A new series from Lila Monroe, and it is starting out with a bang! Fair warning though, do not read this book in public unless you don't mind total strangers looking at you like you've lost your mind. Because you will laugh out loud, and I'm not talking a little chuckle, although Cupids Anonymous has those too, no, I'm talking about laughing til you snort. This book is absolutely hilarious and exactly what I needed for a weekend read. Then, to add to the hilarity, Ms Monroe gives us a swoon-worthy romance that is kind of friends to lovers and kind of a workplace romance. Dylan and Poppy have terrific chemistry whether they're dealing with wildlife or trying out new mattresses, and I love that the story has that required bit of angst, but it's not something over the top, and it makes perfect sense for the story and these characters. This author, with her crazy wonderful, feel so real characters, has become a go-to for me when I need a funny and romantic escape from reality, and this modern day Cyrano is just one more reason why.

Cupids Anonymous is a cute, fun and sexy read by Lila Monroe! I just fell head over heels for Dylan and Poppy and read the entire book in an afternoon with a smile on my face.

Poppy is the one Dylan calls upon when he needs help with an apology or wooing a woman. When Dylan’s first love comes back into the picture, he needs Poppy more than ever. However, feelings are growing between Dylan and Poppy as they find that they can easily relate to one another and have fun.

I really enjoyed everything about Dylan and Poppy, together as a couple and as individuals. They had great banter, excellent chemistry and had me laughing throughout the book. I loved everything about Cupids Anonymous and highly recommend it!

I’m a high school English teacher, so I’m definitely familiar with Cyrano De Bergerac, but in Lila Monroe’s newest release, she modernizes the behind-the-scenes romance whisperer, broadening the different ways that heroine, Poppy Hatahway, can assist her clients in making amends for wrongdoings against those they love or find a way to say the right words that just might give them a second chance with someone they like and perhaps could possibly love.

But with Dylan Griffin’s new request, Poppy’s role changes and she finds herself in quite the non-Cyrano situation, because the more time these two spend together, the more involved their connection becomes, evolving from a professional one to one of friendship to one with a whole lot of sexual tension and a surfacing of feelings that won’t only complicate Poppy’s task, but just might send her spiraling in a way that she never thought she’d find herself in, at least when it came to what she always thought she wanted when it came to a significant other.

It’s difficult to see what’s truly in front of someone when that person is playing a role to help reunite you with another woman, and that’s exactly what happens to Dylan. Despite his growing connection to Poppy, she still is acting on his behalf for someone else to fall in love with him, so that poses a bit of a problem. But the way Lila Monroe helps Dylan to see just how lovable his quirky and full of life Cyrano truly is forces them both to make a decision about what happens next, which is about so much more than knowing what to say when it comes to love.

Cupids Anonymous is a sweet and funny romcom that makes for a perfect summer read. I definitely had a bit of a girl crush on Poppy and once readers were privy to who Dylan is at his core, I wanted him for Poppy; I just didn’t know how that would happen given what her professional objective was at the beginning of the story, but I sure did enjoy watching it all unfold.

What do you get when you put a modern-day Cyrano with an incorrigible, unrepentant playboy and add in a metric ton of chemistry? If it’s a Lila Monroe book, you get a hilarious, steamy story that squeezes your heart while it keeps you in stitches.

Poppy Hathaway has made a career of penning the words of adoration and devotion that those in love are unable to express. She has two rules in her business: never take credit for your work and never fall for a client. Dylan Calloway is a client. A very wealth hotelier who changes women the way the rest of the world changes socks, and he's the absolute last person Poppy should be falling for.

Once again, I find myself crawling out from under a rock because this is my first book by this author. My only regret is that I didn’t find her sooner, because this delightfully heart-felt yet hysterically funny read is only the first of many Monroe books I see in my future.

Poppy and Dylan drew me in and held me captive from the first page to the last. Both of these characters are admirable and endearing, but I think it’s their hint of vulnerability that sealed the deal for me. Their story is sassy, snappy, snarky, sarcastic and smexy so, if you want a book that will leave you with a happy sigh and a great big grin, run to the 1-Click button and start reading today!

***ARC received in exchange of an honest opinion***

Cupids Anonymous was such a cute, adorable read! I really enjoyed the ammount of humor and the funny banter between the main characters.

The story was relatable and I liked the characters, the main ones and the supporting ones. I wouldn't mind reading more about them, which is something that I don't always do, because I usually don't love when standalones are turned into series with different characters.

I was into it from the first page and I caught myself smiling through the pages. I liked Poppy a lot and from her first interaction with Dylan I already knew I was gonna ship those two!

Dylan was very swoon-worthy, although he had his flaws, but that made him more real. It was so easy to fall in love with him and he kept things real. I connected a lot with him and felt like he could be a real person in the real world.

I loved Poppy, the heroine, too! She was also very relatable and her banter with Dylan and her friends were on point, and that is also what made the story so relatable.

This story read like a great chick-flick and I would enjoy watching a movie based on it for sure. I wasn't expecting to like this story as much as I did and I'm really glad I read it! I'm definitely keeping Lila Monroe on my watch list for romantic comedies!

I know. I know ... just put me on repeat when it comes to Lila Monroe. That's because it's the plain gosh darn truth, Monroe just gets me when it comes to romantic comedy. I'm a happy reader because of Cupids Anonymous, its witty banter is up-lifting. The drop dead gorgeous hero gave me goosebumps and our romantic heroine touched all my emotions throughout my read.

Poppy is the modern day Cyrano De Bergerac, she can put together words that can have a person falling in love. The sad part about being romantic at heart and being a cupid for others is that you can sometimes forget about finding that one person for yourself. What happens when you realize that the person who requires your services is everything you want?

Dylan Griffin doesn't need help when it comes to getting any woman, his looks alone can have them lining up. It's finding the words to keep them interested that is his problem. That's where Poppy comes in, Dylan's own personal Cyrano. He needs Poppy now more than ever to help him romance the one girl that he has been crushing on since high school. This job will benefit both Poppy and Dylan but not in the way that they had expected.

Cupids Anonymous is a perfect summer read, it has lots of laughs out loud moments, steamy moments and moments that touched my heart. It's easy to be swooning after a male character but there is something about Poppy that had me falling in love with her. I recommend that you one-click this rom-com where it's not all peaches and cream. Sometimes you have to sing, dance, fall down, and get lost to truly find what you never thought you had been looking for all along.

4.5 SMOOCHES

I’ve read many of few of Lila Monroe’s romantic comedies, and I always enjoy them. She perfectly balances the heat in her stories with her wicked sense of humor and entertaining plots without heavy angst or drama resulting in light-hearted, easy-reading romances. Monroe’s writing style always manages to pull me right into the story with vivid descriptions and interesting details blended into imaginative storylines full of fun side characters. Her sexy romcoms are always an entertaining reading experience.

Cupids Anonymous is the first book in her new Cupids series. A modern-day Cyrano, the heroine, Poppy, helps communication-challenged romantics profess their love through the written word to their significant others. Anniversary poems, love letters, proposals, wedding toasts—Poppy has it covered. Dylan, a rich playboy hotel CEO, is her most active client.

Dylan and Poppy’s relationship has always been strictly professional, until one shot-filled, truth or dare inspired night culminating in a hot make-out session. With obvious chemistry now sparking between them, it makes the fact that Dylan has hired her to help him land the girl of his high-school-boyhood dreams a bit complicated. Filled with rapid-fire, witty banter and enough steam to fill a sauna, Poppy and Dylan’s relationship shifts from the professional to friends and then to something much more.

Full of humor and heat, Cupids Anonymous by Lila Monroe was an entertaining, amusing, pleasure to read, and it gets 4.5 smooches from me!

This book was pretty cute. Poppy is a professional Cyrano, she loves Love, and everything that comes with it. She helps people write their feelings on paper. She makes their lives easier, she makes Dylan life easier. Poppy and Dylan are very familiar with each other professionally. Dylan has been using her expertise to get a chance with the girl or girls he's interested in. He's used Poppy quite a bit. He is a repeat customer. He is also good looking, Poppy is slowly realizing how great of a guy Dylan is but she doesn't want to ruin what they have.

This story was really fun, refreshing, sweet and steamy. I really enjoyed their story. Dylan needs help with the one girl that he's always had a crush on in high school, and who only to help but Poppy. You'll follow them get closer, him being so blind that the one right in front of him is his perfect match. I would definitely recommend for a cute rom com.

A light, occasionally funny rom-com.

Dylan is a player. A 21st century rake. And Poppy is a Cyrano - she ghost-writes love poems, notes, vows, and proposals for other people. The rest is sweet, but predictable. After helping Dylan get many other women, a spark develops between the two. And here's where I found the book lacking - there's no development of their relationship. They go from attraction/lust to Poppy assuming it's Romance with a capital 'R.' I felt like I was missing several chapters in the middle of the book. She knows what he's like! Why does she assume he'd be different with her than all other women? Especially since he went from one crush straight into her arms.

But perhaps I'm picking it apart a little too much. It was a decent rom-com and an enjoyable read.

I know I've probably already said this before in one of my many ARC's from Lila Monroe, but this has gotta be my favorite! I remember reading an excerpt at the end of Noah and Eve's story and I have been waiting in dire anticipation ever since!

I loved it! I enjoyed tagging along Poppy and Dylan. It was sweet and funny and inspiring. I didn't want it to end! It was definitely a mood-booster and a welcome distraction from reality.

Both main characters are relatable... the pacing was great... the evolvement from employee to friends to lovers was natural... and there was a good and thrilling build-up between the two. It was unique in it's own way... Truly a romantic comedy at it's finest. I wish there was a longer epilogue but thats the romantic sap in me talking.

To the fans of RS Grey and Lauren Blakely, this is the book to pick up next.

My go to is always a fantastic rom-com, Lila Monroe is always a favorite. Cupids Anonymous is a cute, unique concept for a modern age romance. Poppy and Dylan have chemistry in spades that leaves you with a constant smile on your face. A quick paced story that gives me all the butterflies and feel goods.

Dylan is not an eloquent man (good thing he's pretty), and who needs to be in a digital age where you can have someone assist you with anything you can imagine. Enter Poppy, who's Cyrano services are in constant demand for those who struggle with their words. As Dylan's go-to for any love-situation, Poppy is quite familiar with Dylan's varying needs. When Dylan's high school crush comes back to town, his need for Poppy is even more personal.

While Poppy attempts to assist Dylan, they become close. Closer than either would like to admit which instantly had me cheering for them both. Lila Monroe is a genius when it comes to creating moments that slay my heart. She lines up scene after scene that are side-splitting funny while packing a punch with all the feels. I loved every page of Cupids Anonymous; Lila Monroe never disappoints.

If you like romantic comedy then this is the book for you. It was a very easy book to read from the first page, it was light-hearted, funny and just the perfect book for a few hours with your feet up.

The characters are hilarious. I love Poppy, she is a professional modern-day Cyrano and is the person to go to get help and expert advice on how to woo your love/lust interest. Except her own, it would seem.

Dylan is one of Poppy's best clients, there is always a lady he wants to seduce and he calls upon Poppy for her expertise. His next interest happens to be his high school crush. This is not an easy task for Poppy especially as she finds herself falling for Dylan!

This is a definite feel-good read and not a genre I would normally go for but it was well written and I'm sure the pages turned by themselves! I will be checking out more Lila Monroe books now!

Cupids Anonymous by Lila Monroe was a fabulously funny story. The main characters gave me a heart-warming feeling whilst reading their story, even if Dylan started out as a bit of a ladies man. He soon changed his tune though, once he opened his eyes and saw the real Poppy, not the Cyrano to his love life.
From the outset, their chemistry was undeniably hot and only got hotter the longer they spent time in each other’s company. It’s filled with sexy innuendo, sassy banter and two people just made for each other.
Except, Poppy isn’t the woman that Dylan was meant to be lusting after. He’d set his sights elsewhere, but fate and time away from outside influences helped him see the truth.
Poppy knows she shouldn’t be looking at her client the way she does, and if not for that one electrifying kiss she might not. She’s been hired to help Dylan shmooze his next conquest, but, what if she wants to be that conquest. And a whole lot more?
I got all the happy feels with this story, it’s dynamics were spot on, from the interactions of the cast, main and secondary alike, to the small amount of angst, I just wanted to keep reading. This is one for a long, hot weekend read. Grab your copy today.

3.5 Manwhore Stars
I’m taking a star away because of how many times the author told us how poppy isn’t like other girls. Other than that, this book wasn’t bad it just wasn’t anything that special...

A fun, amusing, low angst read!

“Making out with Poppy seems like the most sensible decision I’ve made in years.”

Poppy Hathaway has a way with words that earns her money, but she’d like to move out of Starbucks and into a proper office. When her main client makes her an offer she can’t refuse, which will help to set her up, it’s almost a no-brainer. Unfortunately, those pesky lusty thoughts of hers keep messing with her determination to pull off this romantic coup. When their business relationship tips over the line into the personal, things start getting heaps more complicated.

“It looks like Prince Annoyingly Charming wasn’t always so smooth. Dammit, it turns out he has depth, as well as those dreamy blue eyes.”

Dylan Griffin is an unapologetic playboy. When the woman of his teenage dreams crosses his path, he needs Poppy’s help to win her. However, one drunken kiss with his wordsmith unleashes a desire that’s hard to put aside and has him questioning what and who he really wants.

”Our eyes lock, and there it is again: a shot of pure desire, speeding through my bloodstream.”

Poppy and Dylan had an amazing connection and their chemistry was tense and sizzling. Poppy is funny and smart, and a bit of a klutzy disaster zone. LOL. Dylan is adorably bumbling when he’s outside of his suave comfort zone. This was a fab story full of humour, good feels, and sexy times.
