So I read Prescotts book first and decided to read the whole series. I was not expecting the level of angst in the book but I loved the story. The books can be read as a standalone but after reading Prescott's story first there were way too many interlinked characters and I couldn't keep up so here I am!
Really enjoyed Freya and max's story. Max was just an absolute sweetheart to Freya when they were young but they both went through so much heart ache after she left.
I'm interested in juliet's story. She didn't come across very nice in this book so I'm curious as to how she will redeem herself.
I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the series just so I can read prescott and Rachel's story again!

This one had me hooked throughout, leaving me reading this book in a single sitting. It was addictive in all the best ways, and I could not get enough. I'll certainly be back for more of the author's work.

Oh Max and Freya loved how they met , and how Max let it be known the Freya was his. Sadly his father did not think the same. Freya left Max with a letter and a lie and the town that looked down on her. Years later she is back and her first love is about to marry one of the girls who made her life a misery. Wanted more about Freya's work life whilst she was away, wanted more about Max also whilst Freya was gone. Plus an epilogue would have been epic. Loved Gramps, Rusty, Jana and Emma . Great read

I actually really enjoyed the play of relationships in this book. It left plenty teasers for stories to come. I'm thinking I need a shed though instead of a walk in wardrobe!! Designer goals right there.

I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book. This is a very enjoyable, entertaining book. I loved the storyline and found the interesting characters story engaging. A Must Read Book

This is the first book I have read by C Lymari and I love this story! The feelings just grabbed my heart and squeezed it tight. The plot had me reading until the early hours of the morning. The back and forth from seven years ago-present usually confuses me but the way this book is written is clear cut and easy to follow. Very enjoyable and compelling.

I was so wrapped up in everyone’s lives in this town, the gossip mill is rife there and I think I’d love to spread a few Chinese whispers around for a laugh. Max; oh my gorgeous Max. He is amazing and I love his heart and the words he says... swoon! Max and Freya’s journey is not an easy one with so many factors to fight against, but they battle on; it was emotionally wearing for my heart. As for the side characters; Emma, Jake, Rusty and Dex are such a strong influence in the story that I hope we get to read their stories too.

I was laying in bed reading with tears in my ears but it was totally worth every tear; happy and sad.
I will be looking for more books by C Lymari in the near future.

    A massive 5 star Read! 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

    -----------------

Oh wow this book literally gave me all the feels, and completely blew me away! It was such a page turner. I didn't want to put it down, and read within a day! The chemistry between both main characters was something else 😍 C.Lymari really sucks you into this story and makes you feel connected to the characters. I loved reading the characters past and present, as it makes you get a proper understanding of their history and relationship.

I really enjoyed all the little quotes throughout the book too (once you read it, you'll know what I mean) 😏

This story is entertaining, sweet, full of drama, suspense and sexy scenes. 💋

This book was so beautifully written. I can't believe it's her debut novel!!! Bring on the rest of her books! Because this one was just WOW. C.Lymari is definitely one to watch out for 👀

*I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.*

This story, this couple pulled at ALL my heart strings! Couldn't have been better written, just perfect.
I cried, a lot. Prepare for those tears that will sneak out of no where. I devoured this story in 2 late nights and I couldn't get enough. The pain and love they felt was hard and beautiful to read and see in my mind. The amount of love these two have for each other is undescribable and SO worth fighting for. I mean these two are beyond perfect for one another, there just no words that can describe the depths Max & Gaby can and would go for each other, the depth of their love is unmatched & untouchable. No one else for them but each other.

I felt their pain. I suffered along side them and I would do it again because of they are truly worth it.

The rich guy & the poor girl with a mother who had a terrible reputation in a small town. No father. No siblings. Only a grandfather & best friend who are everything to her.

The handsome Dunnett boy comes to her rescue one night and it changes everything for the both of them. They don't know it yet but they will experience the best of an unconditional LOVE and at the also the worst pain, heartbreak. All in the hands of each other.

There are so many good things about this read that I have been going over in my head and I realised after all the amazing points I could right, it was the realisation that when it comes to fantasy romance that’s exactly what it is Fantasy and we love the romance of if it could happen. Well Claudia Lymari wrote this novel and made me believe just maybe this could happen. Small town, first love, Rich family vs Poor. Broken hearts and a return to see what one had let go.
But then throw in all the what’s if’s and the hurt and those people you left behind, good and bad, still all being exactly where you left them. But had they changed and how did you cope when the love of your life had moved on and moved on with someone who had been one of those people whom had never let you think you were good enough.
At times I was so frustrated with both our main characters I would scream at them to wake up to themselves, I went from highs to lows and laughing and heartbreak and it just made me want to keep reading.
I wanted to immerse myself in this town be a part of the amazing characters and relationships with each other. I wanted to know the reasons why Max had moved on and how, how could Freya had let him go.
I read something today that made me understand Freya’s reasoning on leaving
It’s not realising you can fight for what you love
But being able to let that love go because you think at the time it’s the better thing to do.
C Lymari I thank you for the most amazing book to come out of the author in you, you left us with so many other reasons to continue reading the stories of characters besides Freya and Max we were introduced to throughout.
This book makes me want to keep reading and reading it and not want to stop.
Every town should have a coffee shop like Emma’s with a quote board ..... My quote?
Do yourself a bloody favour and read this book
It’s worth the time spent doing so.

4.0 out of 5 stars it was okay… but not sure the author knows much about the Northwoods
Reviewed in the United States on 5 November 2022
It was okay, but I’m not sure the author knows much about the area she set the book in. I had a hard time getting over the fact that the little town and the people and their accents seemed more suited to small town Southern Illinois or Missouri than northern Wisconsin. I live in the Northwoods—not far from Superior that she mentions, actually. The characters didn’t sound or act like northerners. Most of them I pictured with country accents.

Other than that, the characters were relatable. Freya was a fun heroine. Wish we had a little more information about what she did out in California to make her so rich. That could have been developed better. Max was okay, but i think a few more chapters in his POV would have helped developed his character more.
And the antagonist female needed a little more of a background to make her seem like the villain she supposedly was. Overall, not a bad story.
