Bossy Brothers: Joey Kindle Edition
A delicious, burning hot, MMFM, surprise-baby, fake fiancée story with a twist that proves committed couples don’t just come in two’s, mistakes can be a good thing, and for some people, non-traditional love is exactly the kind they should fight for.
Six years before my phone rang and changed my life forever, I made a mistake.I met a girl, we had some fun, and then we had a baby. And I fell pretty damn hard for my daughter. I was going to be there. I was going to give her everything I never had. I was going to have a family.
And then her mother disappeared and took my baby with her.
And now she’s done it again. Because that call that changed my life was from my five-year-old daughter asking me if I knew where her Mommy was.
Then came the lawyers. And the demands from her super-rich, super-powerful messed-up family. And the little fact that my ex didn’t just “disappear” she was “presumed dead”.
I don’t live a traditional lifestyle and I’m not in a traditional relationship.
But I can pretend if I have to.
And that was the plan when my two “best friends” and I decided to hire “professional liar” Brooke Alder to be my fake fiancée.
It’s totally gonna work. As long as MY super-rich, super-powerful, messed-up family doesn’t get in the way.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 6 October 2019I loved all the characters in this book but Brooke is amazing. Actually one of my favourite heroines.
Brilliant story that's really well written and oh so very sexy.
Can't wait to read Johnny's story.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 30 July 2019Joeys story is the second book in the Bossy Brothers series and I’ve got to be honest it took me a little while to warm up to Joey. He’s a complex guy, he’s not sure who he is and that made it hard for me to really get him. He knew he had a daughter but didn’t get the chance to be a father and I really felt for him missing out on that. When he gets a call from his now five year old daughter, Joey finds himself needed to reinvent his life. This is where professional liar Brooke comes into it. Brooke is...whatever you want her to be. She’ll weave a tale and she’ll have you believing every single second of it. She’s good I’ll give her that! I actually really liked Brooke. There’s something about her that drew me in, that made me want to know more about her. With her and Joeys two friends Wald and Huck along for the ride, these four start getting together a plan on how to make sure Joeys daughter is going to be in their lives.
I struggled with the first few chapters of this book. I didn’t immediately like Joey and it wasn’t until Brooke enters his life that my interest was really piqued. From that point on I couldn’t put this book down. The chemistry between the characters is off the charts, the characters slowly but surely won me over and there’s enough mystery/lies/suspense to keep you completely engrossed.
This is another great book from JA Huss and I can’t wait for Johnnys story. He’s the one bossy brother I can’t stop thinking about and I can’t wait to find out more about him.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 21 August 2021This book was a nice fun quick read. I enjoyed the characters and can’t wait to read more from this series. I’m fast becoming a fan of the RH/MFMM. I’m looking forward to Johnny’s story next.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 4 November 2019This as it suggests is Joey Boston’s story. The middle of the three brothers discovers 5 Plus years earlier he has a daughter , but the mother does not allow him contact. A random call from his daughter asking for help leads to a very interesting, dramatic and erotic story. We meet Brooke, a professional fabricator, Wald and Huck Joey’s partners, all of which form an arrangement which again leads to involvement, commitment, and a bonding relationship. The plot twists, turns and is really interestingly wicked. A great different story as ever by this author
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 30 January 2025An ok read of Brooke fake it till you make it and Jesse the guy in love with his two best friends.
This book covers Jesse's story but you need to read Jonny's book to find out if the plan works I'm guessing.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 2 August 2019Book one if this series must be read first or you will be totally confused.
The first part of the book I find to be quite slow and part of that for me was Joey. I'm sure it was deliberate on the authors part because as the story unfolded we see just how complex a man he is. Estranged from his family he's brought back when he receives a call from his daughter. He has to prevent himself as stable and untrustworthy which brings Brooke into his life.
These are turning out to be very complex multi layered books. A secret society who seem to be behind everything and are a little scary. A family trying to stick together and survive with a love story woven in. It's alot to take in but slowly things are becoming clearer as some questions get answered.
I have no idea what's next but I can't wait.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 30 July 2019Wow! Unputdownable. What a ride!
Joey had a phone call from a 5 year old, and now he wants to find her. So his friends help him with cooking up a scheme. Brook is trying to find herself, a new start, a new purpose, when she stumbles into Joey's scheme.
This was hot, and twisty. And there's still questions going around in my head from the first book and now this one. (Bossy Brothers: Jesse should be read first). Can't wait for Jonny's book!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 18 October 2019J.A. Huss certainly upped the anti in Joey's book. Small nuggets of information to take the mystery to the next level. This series is definitely intriguing, if nothing else.
I loved how the balance of power continually shifted between Brooke, Huck, Wald and Joey.
So now I am going to dive straight into Johnny's book and I cannot wait.

3.0 out of 5 stars I liked this BB
Just as to start with, this is not a romantic RH book with some suspense, this is a action, mystery and suspense Roller Coaster 🎢 with some romance.
There is no HEA, but there is Happy For Now as it happens at a crazy speed of less than a week, so, let’s be reasonable and accept it.
The characters are somehow still to be explained as we don’t know for sure the personalities of Wald and Huck, so it leaves them very shallow and sometimes even silly.
In my evaluation, it’s that kind of plot that urged for a longer book, to be fair.
But, it’s funny and worth a reading.

5.0 out of 5 stars Well its MFMM and its got great world building that I just know this next book is going to be WILD!
WOW!!! Ok first you really should read Jesse first before Joey, this is Book 2 of the Bossy Brothers Joey
Ok so Joey, Huck, Wald meet Brooke by accident, well kind of! Bunch of schemers when the biggest schemer of all just wanted a job....and boy does she get one and three guys.
So The Bossy Brothers, The Bossy Building along with the Bossy chicks from Bright Berry of which Brooke shows up to get a job.
So not sure what happened to my first review I thought I saved it but guess I didn't, I dunno as weird as this book gets, that might just go right along with it.
Ok so Joey middle Boston Brother, finds out he might just have a 5 yr old kid. He had a thing with Charlotte for more than his normal one night stands which was very unusual for him, as his only constant is his two college buddies. But they had fun for a few weeks and then she is off but then couple months later she calls an tells him she is pregnant but when time comes he isn't the only guy at the hospital, he wishes them luck and doesn't really even get to see the baby but knows her name but knows Charlotte hasn't picked him, he didn't get to be in the delivery room just the waiting room and felt as a stranger seeing her with the baby and on her face told him what he needed she hadn't picked him, she had picked this other guy. he didn't even know if it was his child anyways so he figured let her go be happy and wishes good luck to them.
Fast forward 5 yrs and he is getting a call and its from Maisy, is it, could it be his daughter? He thinks so and Joey Boston gets what he wants and he wants her. So his buddies from college that have been together 16 yrs, started a company with Joey's money but now make a ton on their own, however Joey is just there, not a real job or purpose in the company and I so felt this and when they meet Brooke which is a hoot in itself, she too is just drifting through life and hers has recently changed, drastically changed. You gotta read all this I'm not spoiling it but it is a doosey bunch of secrets between all these four people...
So these 4 get together to get back Maisy, she is his daughter he just knows it! Its all a plot to make up this story that Brooke and Joey that have just met will convince another powerhouse family they are engaged and been together for years and they are all friends...uuummm yeah that just friends thing well its way more than that, but Brooke really would take Joey. I will be honest in this one I kind of wanted Huck and Wald to get scared and buggy on outta there when things go Cray Cray as most Huss books do. Its got so some good scenes but I didn't love the 4 of them together, I would have liked a separation or maybe even Brooke to have gone after Johnny because well nah I cant tell ya all that, ya got to read it.
Anyways WE Find Out a Ton more in this book BUT So Much We Still Don't Know. Julie has weaved this Boston Brothers series to be way out there, like....did you read the Company or This Misters Series? If you didn't you don't get it most likely! But excellent story build up to Johnny I did like that a lot. I loved the story of all four of them going to meet Maisy, It SO NOT What we thought was coming! Just WOW Julie done went and pulled another Mindfrack on us again. I was not surprised by that but how it was brought to us.
You done gone and done it again Julie, I need Johnny's book because I think these Boston Boys got lots of secrets they we have ZERO Clue about and we just learned some. least more than we knew.
So of you if you Love JA Huss or Julie as I call her you got read this Bossy Brothers series. Because it is great, so much story and character building in this new crazy world, just were in the world is it gonna take us! I am ready bring it!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars A hot, mysterious and gripping story!
The book sucked me in from the start. JA Huss is an amazing storyteller and I have yet to be disappointed with her stories or styleof writing.
Bossy Brothers is an amazing series if you have not yet experienced Julie's writing. Go read them and then get the rest. You will not be disappointed. I can live in Julie's book brain and never get bored.
Looking forward to Johnny's book next to get more clarity on the twisted and dark family with secrets that are dipped in reality. Heroines of both Bossy Brothers books - Emma (Jesse) and Brook (Joey) are strong but vulnerable women who take charge when needed. Love the strong and take charge female led books from Julie!

4.0 out of 5 stars Joey
Joey's story was an interesting one. I liked the progression of the relationship between Joey, Wald, Huck and Brooke. Joey took time to understand what he had. A twist with how Brooke fitted into the picture and where she came from. I thought the book ended a bit soon. I felt like there was still more of the story to come but hopefully I might get that in the next book.
