Falling with You: Fractured Connections, Book 3 Audible Audiobook – Unabridged

4.6 4.6 out of 5 stars 420 ratings

The day I lost my best friend was the day I realized that I'd been living in the past. I've tried to find a way to heal, to mend that break. Somehow, I came through it partially whole. But I know I couldn't have done that without Aiden Connolly.

The problem is, he once loved my best friend. And now she's gone, and I refuse to be in that shadow, or worse, a replacement for someone we both loved.

~

I left them all behind.

My brother.

My family.

My best friend.

And her.

Only Sienna Knight doesn't realize what she means to me. But before I can make sure she knows, I need to figure out exactly what that is.

Sienna Knight doesn’t realize what she means to Aidan Connolly, but before he can make sure she knows, he has to figure out exactly what that is. She’s been living in the past and trying to find a way to mend the break. Aiden is the reason that I came through it partially whole but he once loved the best friend she lost and she refuses to live in that shadow or even worse be a replacement. This emotionally gripping romance captures readers by their hearts and refuses to let go. The characters are strong, compelling and easily draw readers into their story of two people broken by the loss of a loved one. Their relationship is one of friends with secret attractions and with everything from their pasts standing between them, it hard finding the emotional courage and strength to reach for more. Readers can feel the chemistry and the emotional angst flowing from the pages as the author brings this coupe to vivid life in a way that makes it easy to connect with the characters and makes it feel as if readers really know Sienna and Aiden. The plots flows at a steady pace, unveiling secrets as the couple takes the steps to overcome the past and reach for their future, which really builds the suspense and keeps the turmoil as well as the strength and courage of this couple flowing from the pages. Aiden and Sienna tug at the heart strings as readers find themselves glued to the pages of their expressive story.

Aiden and Sienna had my heart from the very beginning! I enjoyed their banter and sparring, loved how they enjoyed being together, even when they weren't together. I loved that they had so much back ground together, so much history to build on, even when it wasn't always happy history. Their smoking hot connection and the hints of the unknown that haunted them kept me guessing until the very end! This was a great story, possibly my favorite of the series! I've enjoyed how this author takes each new series and relates them to previous series and I love how each book and series builds on the last. It makes each new character, as well as favorite previous characters, feel like family!

This book....it was so much more than JUST a romance. Sure, the story begins and ends with a guy and a girl, and it revolves around how they find their HEA, but at the heart of it, it's about forgiveness, both of one's self, and others. It's about moving forward with your life after tragic circumstances throw life as you know it into a different universe. It's about finding that one person that completes you, and realizing, they might have been right in front of you all along. It's for these reasons this book, (and the entire series) will stick with me as some of my favorites for a very long time to come!

This is book 3 of Carrie Ann Ryan's series, Fractured Connections. A group of friends who were distant for years but are brought back together by the death of a friend, Allison. This book focuses on Aiden & Sienna. Like the other 2, the characters' layers & walls they built because of things that happened in their lives are stripped away. Sienna has had a crush on Aiden for years. She has never done anything about it because he was dating their friend, Allison. Now she is gone. And she feels guilty about the fact that she still loves him. Aiden finds he is attracted to Sienna as well. Oy. Their story is a emotional roller coaster where you are laughing one minute and then you get to the top of the hill and dive right into crying of the next scene in which Ms. Ryan so eloquently describes in detail, that you just want to hug them tight. They weave through some pretty heavy stuff to get to their normal, their HEA. Ms. Ryan has done a wonderful job with this series of being respectful & sensitive to all that has happened in the lives of these characters and to the readers who she takes on each of their rides. And, I'm looking forward to the next one which is Meadow & Beckham's story.

The third book in this series, The Fractured Connections series’s, is every bit the standalone that the other two books were. The relationship among the other characters will be more familiar if you have read the previous books, but I honestly don’t think it matters. Aiden and Sienna get their HEA in this story, about a couple who struggle to be with each other. They have previous baggage connected with a character no longer with the group. The fact that they both are horrible at communicating ( a common theme in romance) hinders the relationship greatly. I enjoyed them finding out what their faults were and coming to terms with them so they could be a couple. The secondary characters of the cats were some of my favorite scenes. As always, an enjoyable series by Carrie Ann Ryan.

This series has been full of loss, rebuilding, emotions, and second chances. From the very first page of the first book all the way to the last page of book three. This group has lost a friend and none of them saw it coming, now they must each deal with the guilt of not seeing the signs, not being there to help, they are also each dealing with their own personal problems.

The Connolly brothers are learning how to be a family again, and rebuilding their parent's legacy. Working through the guilt they have built over the reasons for their separation, and the feelings that they abandoned their father.

With this book in particular there were times that I was a bit annoyed with the side characters, with how much they get into the main characters space, and are after them so much. But when you pull back and remember that they have all lost a friend, and now are super sensitive to each other's moods and rhythm to make sure that they dont miss something going wrong because none of them wants to go through with that loss again - each of those instances where I was initially annoyed becomes a whole different feeling.

I know this review has been a bit all over the place but there is no doubt, I loved the chemistry between Sienna and Aiden, I love the dynamic between the group as a whole. This series is so real, and so heartbreaking, but also so very heartfelt and full of hope and the possibility of a brighter future, even when everyone feels like there is a missing piece.

This book was full of love, frustration, being there for each other, making peace with the past and of course family. I really loved this book and especially the story of Aiden and Sienna and of course hanging out with his brothers and her friends as well. These two are friends but have a lot to work through especially since they have feelings for each other but are also overshadowed by the past. It was sad with Aiden’s past and finding out about a past secret and coming to grips with that and I also really felt for Sienna not only with her and Aiden but also going through what she was having to deal with on a personal level, but she came out even stronger than she already is. The ending was great for these two amazing characters. There was a line in this book that was perfect, Happiness isn’t easy. Just keep at it.

Aiden and Sienna are next in the fractured connections series and their story is so full of complexities and complications that it certainly made for a very interesting read. Aiden was once Allison’s boyfriend and even though she is no longer with the group, Sienna’s guilt over liking Aiden more than she should comes up along with a whole string of other events, which can be tossed firmly in the life happens pile, that I didn’t see coming. A long held secret is also revealed but the best thing of all is the connection this couple make and how they fight to be together😍

An emotionally complex story and series and definitely worth reading! I’m looking forward to seeing what Carrie comes up with in regards to the broody bartender and Meadow and if I’m lucky Dillion will also find himself a lady😜
