Sarah Curtis is a writer of all things romance. She loves nothing more than a sexy alpha male who falls hard for their heroine, almost always in spite of themselves!
A life-long resident of Southern California, Sarah shares her writing den with her childhood sweetheart and very own alpha male. When she’s not writing or dreaming up plotlines you can find her wrangling her plethora of very spoiled felines—she currently has five, yes you read that correctly, furry companions. Sarah is a reader before anything else, and her TBR mountain is higher than Everest. She’s also addicted to watching cooking competitions, especially involving baking! Of her own admission, she rarely cooks, but she’s up for the occasional birthday cake for her children as long as it involves the opening of a box.

Until Sadie: Happily Ever Alpha World is the newest contribution to the Happily Ever Alpha World by Sarah Curtis. Reading this reminded me why I love Sarah’s books. Her heroes always check off all of my boxes, alpha, growly, jealous and possessive and always soft when it comes to their women.
Dean Keller is an ex marine and has just rolled into LA looking for a job. He gets one working as a mechanic for another ex military. Then the day comes when his boss, Ray’s sister shows up and Dean’s world is turned upside down. One look at her and he’s a goner. It’s the worst possible timing, but he knows that this woman will be his.
Sadie Pierce is an ER nurse and younger sister to Ray. She’s in the parking lot of her brother’s mechanic shop when she first sees the newest guy and she can’t help but to feel the intensity of the interest coming from him. Dating one of her brother’s employees is not a good idea. But Dean can be very convincing. And so it begins. She’s never dated someone like him before, so possessive and caring. But he’s holding something back.
These two together were amazing. I loved Dean so much. The fact that his endearment of choice was Darlin’ made him all the swoonier. I melted every time he said it. But Dean has secrets he can’t share, reasons he shouldn’t have started something with Sadie. But he didn’t have a choice. She was his. Only once she finds out what he’s been hiding, he just might lose her.
I loved this book. It was the perfect combination of sweet, sexy, swoony and some suspense. As I said, Dean was my favorite type of hero to read about. And wow, the epilogues. I love a good epilogue to give me that glimpse of the couple’s happy ever after. But Sarah outdid herself with this. This can be read as a complete stand alone but there are cameos of other characters from other books. If you enjoy this world or this type of hero, I hope you’ll put this book on your list and enjoy it as much as I did.
Oh my gosh! What a great, fun book I chose for my first book of the new year! This couple was amazing! I loved Sadie and Dean so much!
Filled with so much alpha goodness, I found myself gobbling up all of Dean’s possessive moments and hungering for more. It’s been a long while since I’ve read a book with a hero that checked marked my perfect hero boxes so completely.
I loved that this is filled with so much relationship development. We get a chance to actually watch and experience this couple as they grow closer together. There’s a bit of over the top feeling here, but only because Sadie is Dean’s boom so that feeling is justified. Despite that, this also has a bit of a slow burn to it. The two elements together made this a perfect romance.
This is a fast read with a touch of drama and mild angst. The heat between Sadie and Dean is scorching even though they don’t give in to it immediately. Along the way, there is a good bit of fun banter between these characters as well as cameos from some of the characters from Ms. Reynolds series and this author’s Gambler series, all of which added additional humor.
I highly recommend this book for a fast, laid back read that is perfect for when you want a little escapism from real life.
Another awesome addition to the Happily Ever Alpha World! I really enjoyed Dean and Sadie's story. This couple had that instant connection that just builds and builds as the story unfolds. Dean is very protective, which I love in a hero. Sadie is sweet but also stood up for what she believes in. You get a bit of a twist to this that I wasn't expecting but clearly enjoyed. The connection with the Maysons is through Dean as a friend of Cobi Mayson. I really enjoyed the pieces we got of Cobi and Hadley. Sarah Curtis's vision of Dean and Sadie compliments the Happily Ever Alpha World.
I used to read everything this author put out without reading a single review.....until Fire....now I'm very cautious. This wasn't terrible but it seems my once favorite authors and I are suffering from a difference of opinion on an Alpha male. This guy leaned a little too heavily in the "bossy" category for me. I love take charge Alpha males but it's a delicate balance. Added to the fact that a whole lotta nothing happened and I found myself skimming a lot so I definitely wasn't a happy camper. There are lots of positive reviews so please take this one with a grain of salt. Bad beat remains a favorite read of mine so I'll probably give this author another try.
No cheating If I remember correctly he gave a whiff of eau de manwhor She wasn't a virgin but it'd been years
Sweet story. Bit slow burn due to circumstances. No intimate scenes other than the Hero and heroine. No other woman drama. Jealous, possessive Hero. HEA. Epilogues.
I love going back into ARR’s alpha world. Sarah Curtis wrote this newest addition and I loved it! This is Dean and Sadie’s story. Dean is best friends with Cobi from ARR’s Until Cobi. Dean is the type of H Ms. Curtis is known for. Hot, sexy, possessive. And Sadie was a great h. She didn’t put up with any crap and was perfect for Dean. There is a twist I didn’t see coming. It added a thriller aspect to this book. I also love we got a look at the Mayson clan! How I’ve missed them. Well done, Ms. Curtis.

Sadie's a little rattled when she meets her brother's new employee, Dean. She's made a rule, though, not to date anyone he hangs out with because he's in with some shady guys. So Dean will have to work to get her to trust him enough to go on a date with him.
But Dean's got secrets that, when revealed, will leave Sadie knowing she was right not to have trusted him. Will she ever give him a second chance to redeem himself? Or will his secrets be too big for Sadie to ever get past?
This is a worthy addition to the original world by Aurora Rose Reynolds. It's got the signature BOOM aspect, two sweet characters with amazing chemistry, and a little suspense to make things even more entertaining. I can't wait to read not just more Happily Ever Alpha World stories, but more by Sarah Curtis too.

So fun! Mild angst at the beginning. Dean comes to town and sweeps Sadie off her feet. Unfortunately, secrets cause an issue. A little action and suspense. Great cameos by some of our favorite families and couples! I loved the epilogue!
Une romance mignonne mais aussi avec des dramas et sur fond très léger d'enquête policière =) Coup de cœur pour le village danois et l'épilogue à la fin avec le Danemark <3
Bref, si vous voulez quelque chose de léger, à lire =D
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ahhh a book worthy of the "original" Until books =)
A cute romance but also with dramas and a very light background of police investigation =) LOVE the Danish village and the epilogue at the end with Denmark <3
In short, if you want something light, go read it =D
Set in Aurora Rose Reynolds' Until world. This story is about Dean who is a friend of Cobi Maysen. Dean had moved out to California and who has taken a job as a mechanic with for Ray, a friend/acquaintance of Cobi. One day, Ray's sister, Sadie, comes to the shop and BOOM, Dean falls for her.
Good story, nice flow, and yet, there is just that something missing that is preventing me from giving it 5 stars. The end had multiple epilogues, which was nice.
I am a big fan of how Sarah Curtis tells a story. And this one fits ARR’s Boom-tastic world so very well.
I started this book last night at 10:30pm and didn’t stop reading till I finished it at 3:00am earlier this morning. I loved it! I loved Dean. I loved Sadie.
I loved that the story is mostly told in Dean’s voice. Such a nice and refreshing change from my usual romance novels.
Dean is also the kind of hero I also really love. Alpha, protective, honorable, and all about his girl. So swoony. 🥰
It’s a low angst book that’s really all about finding true love and pulling out all the stops to get and nurture it. So so so good.
Until Sadie does not disappoint with an all mighty BOOM being felt between Dean and Sadie as their eyes meet. A story with a little of everything to ensure it ticks all the boxes. Their story is full of drama, romance, passion, secrets and a few friendly faces to have you enchanted right to the very end. The chemistry ignites between these two and you can feel the pull between them. An entertaining story that has you on the edge of your seat at times and has you feeling the aftershocks of the BOOM.
If you are at all familiar with the "Until" world created by Aurora Rose Reynolds and the expanded universe that she opened to other authors, then you know what the broad outlines for the story are going to be, and it is up to the talent of each of the authors to build a story within those lines. I happen to love Sarah Curtis' writing as her heroes are unfailingly assertive and protective and her heroines are smart and the right balance of strong and soft.
New in town, Dean procures a job at a local garage on the strength of his association with Colbi Maysen (from the AAR's original world). Dean meets his boss' sister, Sadie and immediately feels the Boom. Despite it not being a good idea at all, Dean pursues Sadie with a single minded focus. As the story unfolds, we find out just HOW NOT a good idea the relationship is, and it throws an obstacle in Dean and Sadie's relationship.
I really enjoyed the beginning of Dean and Sadie's relationship, and just how honorable Dean was trying to be. All of their dates, and the care that Dean showed really made my heart melt, even as I wanted to shake him and tell him to come clean. I liked how the two of them communicated, even in the midst of their blowout.
The angst was low, the sweetness was high and the characters likable. I really enjoyed the story and recommend it.
Dean is looking for a fresh start and with help of his friend Cobi he may just get it in. He is more than prepared for his new job at the car repair shop, but he wasn’t prepared for the sparks he would feel when he met his boss’s sister.
Sadie isn’t looking for a relationship with any man especially one who works for her brother. Denying Dean’s charm is easier said than done but will the secrets of his past destroy the future they could have together?
From their first meeting Dean was all in when it came to Sadie and even though she was cautious they soon proved that they are so much stronger together than apart.
The Until Series will forever be my TOP favorite series of all time soooo...when I saw a kindle world bring created around this dreamy cast you have no idea the excitement I felt, especially with that line up of talent, also especially considering some of my favorites and some new writers were included. And now after the first set of books released, we get a BRAND. NEW. BOOM.
Each book in this world is a complete standalone. Each one giving you a few hours of unforgettable reading time. Each crossover to characters from the Until world created by Aurora Rose Reynolds, giving us new and old (all the fist pumps, oh yea!) characters to fall for.
Sexy. Sweet. Unexpected. Undeniable. Get ready to fall in love with the BOOM all over again.
Until Sadie is the newest release in this world by the crazy talented Sarah Curtis and I can't tell you how much I loved this story. When Sadie and Dean meet, it's an instant connection that neither can deny. But not everything is quite as it seems. And as they get closer, truths threaten to reveal. Complications. Secrets. A love that'll make you want one just like it. Whew boy these two are gonna steal your heart and leave a permasmile etched onto your face the. whole. journey.
Have you experienced the BOOM?!
Run to get the books in this world, especially this one, you won't regret it.
Sometimes you are just in the mood for a quick, insta love story. So I decided to read ‘Until Sadie’ and it was just what I was looking for! I enjoyed every minute of it. A quick, relaxing read with no drama in it. Just insta love and a big secret.
Dean was totally an alpha guy, the minute that he met Sadie he knew that she was the one for him. But sadly he’s keeping secrets from her, secrets that could turn her away from him so Dean does what he can to convince Sadie that their chemistry and attraction to each other is something wonderful, in the hope that when Sadie discovers the true reason of Dean’s coming to her small town, he can convince her of his love for her and that what they have is unique and worth fighting/forgiving for.
The story is told from both POV’s, although you got a bit more of Dean’s POV in the story then Sadie’s. Dean was definitely an alpha guy, he’s big, muscled, very protective, caring, territorial around Sadie when she’s talking to other guys, a bit bossy but also very attentive. He’s just a great guy. Sadie is kind, caring, a bit sassy when needed and a bit stubborn. She’s also a great character. The story may be more of a long novella length story but the story is well writing and I really loved the many epilogues that the writer have us. That have it the perfect end for me.
So if you’re looking for a quick read with an alpha guy and his sweet lady, this is the story for you.
Dean and Sadie’s story was everything you know and love about the Happily Ever Alpha World!!! I absolutely loved getting glimpses back into the Mayson’s lives It was all woven very well into the story. Dean is All Alpha all the time!!! And just wait till you get to the 2nd epilogue.... Swoon!!!!
First, I consider 3 stars somewhat neutral. I didn't read anything past the "prologue". Know why? It wasn't a prologue! I detest when an author mis-labels that. This book starts with a snippet of something that is most likely mid-book, as if we want to start with the climax of the plot before we ever get started. I want to skip half the book to just pick up where the so-called prologue left off. If I was forewarned that the author themselves would gives us a spoiler, I would skip that little piece and just start the book at an actual chapter..
4 stars. Until Sadie is a great addition by Sarah Curtis to the Aurora Rose Reynold's Happily Ever Alpha World. This book can be read as a standalone story with a few fun cameos from some favorite past series characters. Until Sadie is Dean and Sadie's story. Dean moves to the city to start a new life and new job after being in the military. He meets his new boss's sister, Sadie, and is immediately smitten. But, of course, everything can't be smooth sailing so the two have a bump or two to make it through on their way to their HEA.
This was a cute, fun story. Dean and Sadie were really sweet together. I liked Dean's protectiveness and possessiveness. I would have liked a tiny bit more chemistry but that's just my personal nitpickiness. Overall, though, I enjoyed this couple's story. It was an entertaining, easy read. Dean and Sadie made a good match and I was happy to read their journey to love. I have enjoyed the Happily Ever Alpha series a lot. I look forward to more to come from it and more to come from Ms. Curtis!
This was a good addition to the Boom Factory series. Dean and Sadie’s story was all hot alpha male goodness.
Quick and easy to read no OTT drama, just all the awesome boom goodness. Dean came to town for to get a fresh start and on the recommendation of his friend Cobi Mayson (oh yeah) he got a job at a friends garage. This is how he meets Sadie, she is the owner’s sister. From the minute they met it was love at first sight. Everything went smoothly. They started spending more and more time together, but everything is not as it seems. And it seems as if Dean is hiding some secrets that he is not ready to share with Sadie. Until everything blows up in his face.
Like I said, short sweet hot sexy and totally alpha goodness. What more do you want 😊 Finished this one in one go, once you start trust me you wont be able to stop😊
I have long been a fan of this author and all of her amazing stories . This series and the ordinal author is also one of my long time favorites so it was no brainer when I heard this book was being written that I would devour it day 1. I did and I loved every single word of it !
Dean was new in town and started working for a local garage . When his boss’s sister came to the garage he felt the BOOM and knew Sadie had to be his !
Dean was a jealous guy and I loved him. He was just enough alpha . Sadie was sweet , smart , and lovable as a heroine. They had some obstacles to overcome but when you find your BOOM it’s forever.
It was so fun to see all of the Mayson’s from Aurora Rose Reynold’s original Until series and Sarah writes so well that everything she writes is blissful to read .
Don’t miss this Dean and Sadie! Their story is amazing and has a fantastic epilogue !
I absolutely loved this book. I'll be honest and9g say the author is new to me, but I loved her and the story of Dean and Sadie.
Dean comes into town, picking up a job with Sadie's brother. Though something is amiss, he cant help but fall for her. When Sadie sees something shes not supposed to see, she finds life with his deception unbearable. But let's just say, Dean has found his BOOM and nothing will ruin his plan.
What a great fast paced read this was. There was a twist i wasn't really expecting at all, that made the read so much better. Loved Dean and Sadie, they were so perfect for eachother, exactly what each needed.
As a romance book reviewer, this author definitely won me over with “The Gambler series”. Seriously, my fellow romance book loving friends, I highly recommend those four romantic reads. Other big hits with me include: This Thing of Ours, Fire, and Antanasia. I’ve yet to delve into her Alluring series world but that collection is definitely on my “want to read someday” list. With that in mind, know that I always greatly look forward to her new releases. Therefore, it pains me to admit Until Sadie was pretty good but not quite the standard I’m used to when it comes to her writing.
Alpha possessive Dean, the hunky hero here, fell head over his Harley motorcycle handlebars for Sadie at first glance. It was clear she was it for him from then on and forevermore. Insta love and infatuation all rolled up into one. This tough guy was gushing over with words of admiration, affection, and intent making it crystal clear he considered her his one and only with no hesitation whatsoever. I couldn’t help but picture a Hugh Jackman like character decked out in a black leather jacket breaking into a song and dance whenever he saw or thought of Sadie. Not that it would be a bad thing to do. Because, my, oh, my, that handsome man has it going on, too. It was sweet, endearing, even refreshing to come across an unwavering, love struck hero, but I’m not totally convinced enough soul connecting interactions were interwoven to warrant such strong sentiments.
Sadie’s character wasn’t nearly so strong minded. Pretty and sweet enough to catch Dean’s eye and smitten heart was her claim to fame. Other than knowing she was a hardworking ER nurse, so they had to work around her schedule to date, and she liked to eat ice cream a lot, plus had a brother with an issue inevitably going to cause drama, all I really concluded about her was she was quick to judge, wring her hands to the point it clouded her ability to think logically after a big, unexpected twist was thrown in. Her repetitive, all about her martyr mantra got old as she overplayed the injured party. Dean didn’t deserve all the groveling she put him through. He was the good guy here all the time, IMHO. He was truly the perfect book boyfriend, folks.
With a meandering epilogue, which was presented in time spans reaching into the next 30 years, and a didn’t actually tie into this story line brief cameo of a main couple from a completely unrelated different series, I have to admit after the initial sweet newness of them dating set in, the writing started to feel somewhat mechanical, especially when they were finally intimate. It was likely right after Sadie went looking for Dean based on the tracking app on her phone. That’s right! They each had the same app on their phone. Am I the only one who found that strange for a couple newly dating? In fact, I’ll pinpoint it even closer. It was after the big twist I didn’t see coming. Instead of thinking, “Oh, my, Wow! That’s actually clever to resolve that conflict in that way.” It was more like, “Well, whatever, I’m relieved, now we know the real deal” because I couldn’t get into the groove the writing was going and Sadie’s behavior was slowly but surely really annoying me.
I found myself skimming quite a bit after that. Wanted to know how it all ended, but getting the gist satisfied my curiosity enough to the point I no longer had a desire or inclination to hang onto every word.
I’m glad to see all the other highly rated reviews, because, as always, I truly wish this author all the best. This book just didn’t hit the bull’s eye with me like I had hoped and expected it would.
Title: Until Sadie, Series: Happily Ever Alpha World (various authors), Author: Sarah Curtts, Pages: 285, stand-alone, romance safe. Rating: 2.5 - 3 stars
(I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I was not given any payment or compensation for this review. There is no affiliation or relationship between this reviewer and the author, publisher, or any PR firm.)
The Happily Ever Alpha world has delivered another smashing success. Until Sadie is everything we were hoping for spinning off from Until Cobi by the queen herself ARR. If you're looking for a book full of angst, heat and sugary sweetness, then look no further. Until Sadie is just what this romance lover needed.
Story Line: Our main characters are Dean and Sadie. Dean is the badboy looking biker dude and Sadie is our sweet and fiery leading lady. This story has some pretty incredible twists and turns that even this super observant reader didn't see coming. With that being said, I'm not going to divulge too much into the story line like I usually do. What I do want you to know is this story is "safe" with no triggers, but it does have some pretty intense action and some moments where you will think to yourself "what the actual..." because things get wild - in the best possible way.
Interaction: Sadie and Dean are pure magic. There's no other way to describe them. Their chemistry is incredible. Their conversations -both spoken and unspoken are soul squeezing. And even when things got rocky - and by rocky I mean those razer sharp rocks that if you step on them, you're taking a trip to the ER - ROCKY, they're just freaking beautiful. I wasn't expecting to shed a tear or two while reading this story, but dang I'm glad I did. Because what that tells me is this book should not be underestimated. Dean and Sadie will put your heart through the ringer, but in the end, will show you what true love feels like.
Laundry: If you have never read a Sarah Curtis novel (boo, you w*ore), you should know something. She likes HEAT. And she's darn good at writing it. If you think the PG version of Sadie and Dean is finger tingling good, JUST YOU WAIT. Once they hit a home run, it's all fireworks and epic BOOMS. So, maybe have a shot of your favorite hard stuff ready because it's that good.
Depth: My favorite part of this book, second to the laundry of course, is the amount of details packed into this incredible story. Dean is not what he seems. Sadie has a heck of a lot to overcome. So does Dean. There's so much you won't see coming. And THAT is what makes this BOOM one of the best you will ever read. Because yes, this is a love story, but it's also a story about trust and how it's so easy to give it, but not so easy to earn. And as much as that felt like a vice grip to my heart, it was a life lesson I think we could all use. So read this story with an open heart but take away so much more than a beautiful happily ever after.
If you've read any of Aurora Rose Reynolds "Until" books then you know they always have a hot alpha male, and are really fun to read. With Boom Factory Publishing, she's expanded her universe to have other authors write standalone, but connecting in some way or another (either location or previous characters) romances in the same universe. This is a great idea - building off of her success while at the same time spotlighting different writers. It also gives fans little snippets of the stories they love from the Until series - great marketing and everybody wins. I was excited to dive into this universe again with Until Sadie, by new-to-me author Sarah Curtis. Curtis didn't disappoint. This book had the same fun, romancy elements as other books in the Happily Ever Alpha world, with a sexy alpha male in the form of Dean. It also had the boom factor - if you've read any books in this world than you know the idea of boom - getting hit with insta-love when you find your significant other - and just knowing that she is the one. Such a sweet concept.
When Dean meets Sadie, he is struck hard and he just knows that he has to make her his. Unfortunately, his life is a bit complicated at the moment and he doesn't want to lose Sadie while he is waiting for things to calm down. He wasn't expecting to get hit by Cupid's arrow, it just sort of happened - and at an inconvenient time. For Sadie's part she is fine to take things slow. But when she does find herself falling hard for Dean, will she be able to handle his secrets? When all is revealed, will their boom factor stand up to the hit?
I liked Dean and Sadie's romance and I liked how possessive, jealous and all around alpha-like Dean is. I mean what woman doesn't want an alpha male - even if they can be a bit growly at times. Sadie is a sweet character and easy to like, but she wasn't so good that she got on my nerves - which is a definite plus. The two of them together was a joy to read and I was rooting for them to make it. If you like swoony heroes who fall hard, and romantic stories with a bit of suspense, you'll like this book. You can read it on its own - although it does mention some characters that we have met in other books. I think this just made me want to go and read the series again, and find any books that I might have missed. Until Sadie is a great addition to the Happily Ever Alpha world, and it also made me want to read more from this author.
