Bossy Brothers: Jesse Kindle Edition
Emma is super pretty, super smart, and super rich. So WHY is she kidnapping the billionaire she just bought in the bachelor auction?
Thirteen years before Emma Dumas bought me in a bachelor auction to teach me a lesson she stole my heart down on Key West. I fell so hard for this girl I made all the promises. Only with Emma, I really meant them.
And then I disappeared.
But it wasn’t my fault. Let’s just call my reason “Family Business”. I’d tell you what that business is, but then I’d have to kill you. Just kidding. I can’t tell you what my family business is because it’s so secret, even I don’t know.
My point is… I didn’t ghost. It was a weird twist of circumstances. And OK, yes. I did hook up with pretty much every girl on the island that week. But after I met Emma, I was ruined. She’s the only one I wanted.
It’s been thirteen years. I’m a changed man. I STILL want her. I have ALWAYS wanted her.
But it’s kind of hard to tell her that with a gag in my mouth and a hood over my head.
Bossy Brothers: Jesse features a bachelor auction gone wrong, four smart ladies who botch a crazy revenge kidnapping, a fancy power dream date with fast cars, private jets, and expensive yachts, lots of ex-sex, and a happily ever after that proves… sometimes the best man for the job is a woman.

- Reviewed in Australia on 26 June 2019Verified PurchaseOh wow, oh my, oh wowwwww.
OK, what an absolute amazing start to the bossy Brothers series. Emma and Jesse are just adorable and their journey was one where I had to put the book down on a number of occasions because hey JA Huss wrote this book and stuff gets twistie when shes in charge but she never let's me down, I just needed a breather and got right back to it, like all amazing books.
I'm most definitely left wanting more, no needing more and I love that. I can't wait to discover Joey and more of The WAY. I'm not sure I'm going to love him as much as I do Jesse though. We will see.
I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did.
- Reviewed in Australia on 10 March 2023Verified PurchaseMmmhhhmmm Jesse 😍 & Emma 🥰 make a great couple. Funny, spicy, sexy, secrets, questions, more questions.
Great way to setup the series 🤩
Love all the characters, and no pressure 🤣🤣 I need to read Emma's brothers books too! Get writing 🪄🔮🪄🙏🏻 please Ms Huss
- Reviewed in Australia on 30 June 2019Verified PurchaseThis book is every I love about JA Huss books. Epic chemistry, and twists and turns galore. The best part? There’s more to come. Can’t wait for the rest of the Boston brothers, and hopefully we’ll get the Dumas boys too at some point.
Baby Boston Jesse was just the right mix of arrogant and caring. And hot, naturally. Emma was independent and self sufficient and a numbers girl. Loved her! Their chemistry was off the charts. Love, love, loved this book. Thank you Julie :)
- Reviewed in Australia on 26 October 2019Verified PurchaseThis was a nice surprise. When I read this was a kidnapping I did not expect the end result. This was quite funny at times, and not everyones humour, but I enjoyed it. (I am a big fan of this author, and she writes some weird stuff at times) and I get it.
I loved cocky Jesse, and Emma was just his match. She was great. ( hell have no fury like a woman scorned)
Jesse certainly comes from a strange family and I still do not know what they do exactly, but who cares, this sis about Jesse and Emma, and may the richest one win!
(Or both concede and enjoy the riches)
- Reviewed in Australia on 31 January 2025Emma buys Jesse in an auction; the act is one of revenge for what he did to her and her friends. The only problem Emma was the one who couldn’t forget Jesse. The one who always wondered what could have happened.
With Emma reconsidering what they planned, her friends still go through with the plan, but Emma after spending time with Jesse decides to let him go. Not expecting that he would want to continue with the weekend date that she won.
Jesse can’t believe that it’s the one girl that got away, the one that when there was turmoil in his life he had to walk away from. Can he convince her that she was the one that he hasn’t stopped thinking about. What happens when she finds out about the family business.
- Reviewed in Australia on 10 May 2021Verified PurchaseWow what a read lots of twists and turns well worth the read
thank you J A Huss
- Reviewed in Australia on 13 July 2020Verified PurchaseI wasn't sure I was going to enjoy this book, the idea that 4 ridiculously rich women kidnap a man in revenge for him screwing them all is lame.
But he turns out to be a really nice guy and the weirdness of his family is intriguing.
- Reviewed in Australia on 12 April 2020Verified PurchaseI enjoyed this book. I’m not disappointed that all the answers to the mystery of the family weren’t there because it’s a series! Looking forward to discovering more in the rest of the series. Thanks J

5.0 out of 5 stars Romance with a difference
Verified PurchaseWow! What a read, I went outside my comfort zone with this book, I dont read much romance but this book nailed it! Well written, fast paced, entertaining and laugh out loud funny in parts. I wont do a spoiler but I will say I thoroughly enjoyed this book from start to finish. I'm an avid reader with a lot of time on my hands and read this book in a single day but I have to day a lot of that was I wanted to see what happened next with Emma and Jesse. Plenty of plot, some action and a mystery to boot, what's not to love in this little package of delights? I would give it 6 stars alas I am limited to 5. Well done Ms Huss. I particularly enjoyed the EOBS and may I add very well said!
If you want a different kind of romance that's hot, fun and funny then READ THIS BOOK NOW

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic! Girl gets even story! 🥂🍾
Verified PurchaseIf you are a new reader to Julie's books, welcome! You will not be disappointed this was a refreshing read, I was taken by the characters in the first chapter, the heroine is my kinda lady, take charge, strong, intelligent, independent and willing to kick some butt! Emma is the women we all want to be when we get burned by a guy, she was able to build her career from the heartbreak of being used (as she thought) at the time by Jesse ahhhh our anti-hero Jesse, he is broken, arrogant a past player, has still some issues, and at the hands of Emma and three of her very best friends and co-founders of a wildly successful cosmetics company (did I mention Jesse did the same thing to them? Love them and leave them after one night?) Jesse is about to get some well deserved payback! And oh man is it fun! Loved the writing, laughed several times throughout this book, and I for sure have a girl crush on Emma! Lol

5.0 out of 5 stars Unexpected Twists Make an Intriguing Rom-Com
Verified PurchaseWhat starts as a incredibly fun, light-hearted romantic comedy eventually turns into a wickedly twisted mystery. The queen of conspiracy strikes again! Author J.A. Huss’ latest novel, Bossy Brothers: Jesse, is all kinds of fun.
This book was so easy to jump into. I was engaged with the characters from the start; no need to figure them out to warm up to them. Emma Dumas and her girl tribe are great! The girls met thirteen years ago and bonded over their spring-break one-night stands. These girls have each other’s backs no matter what the circumstance! Emma is the self-described normal/average one, but she comes off as anything but average. She’s pretty, smart, and bossy. However, her bossiness stems from self-preservation rather than a character flaw.
Jesse Boston, the billionaire who broke her heart thirteen years ago, is completely misunderstood. Yes, he played the rich party boy for much of his young adult life, but then he started flying under the radar…at least as much as his notoriety would allow. This good-looking guy with a great sense of humor and a sexy smirk cannot catch any breaks--especially in the public eye as he is commonly considered a spoiled, rich jerk.
While it is hard to imagine that a woman—let alone four women—could hang onto the hurt from an obvious spring break one-night stand, the plot premise was fun. I LOVED the chemistry between Emma and Jesse. The banter is charming and fun. Their attempts to one-up each other are ridiculous, which makes for over-the-top fun. I adored Emma’s family and the scene they were in.
Jesse’s family is a different ball game entirely. Readers are introduced to these characters, but their development is superficial (undoubtedly saved for future installments in this series). It is Jesse’s family that provides the twists and mystery. As Emma encounters the rest of the Boston family, readers are given a taste the wild ride they’re in for throughout this series to its eventual denouement.
Jesse Boston has met his match in Emma Dumas, and it is certain that she can out boss that “bossy brother”. From sweet to sexy and comical to crazy conspiracy, Bossy Brothers: Jesse is a page-turner. It’s an incredibly engaging story that left me intrigued or laughing with each unexpected turn.

4.0 out of 5 stars Easy read
Verified PurchaseA fun easy read about Jesse and Emma.
They met 13 years ago and fell before Jesse just vanished. Emma has never forgotten Jesse and her plans for revenge change everything.
Jesse has a strange family life which is not explained in this book.

4.0 out of 5 stars The weirdest twist ever at the end
Verified PurchaseAnother original story by JA Huss. This time, you get a revenge from scorned women, a kidnapping, an interesting contest between two rich and powerful people... and so much more that won’t get spoiled here.
On one hand, meet Jesse, the black sheep of his rich family, always in the middle of a scandal. On the other hand, here is Emma, who fell for Jesse years ago and who never accepted the way he left her without an explanation. After winning a weekend date with him at an auction, she and her friends--also Jesse’s victims, and with whom she created a cosmetic empire--take matters into their own hands, and drug and kidnap him to show him a lesson. But he’s changed, he’s charming, and Emma has fallen. Again. And Jesse may not be far behind.
It was fun seeing them competing to charm the other out of their pants. Emma is definitely smart, and bossy. I loved that she was kind of the boss of Jesse, your typical alpha male.
Narration was good, with two talented narrators that I love very much.
Of course, I should have seen coming that there was the weirdest twist ever at the end, without much of an explanation. That’s JA Huss for you. Guess I’ll read or listen to the rest of the series.
