Scoring the Keeper's Sister: An enemies-to-lovers, pro sports romcom (Mr. Match Book 2) Kindle Edition
PR rep Erica tries out the respected Mr. Match service to find the one ... but what happens when "the one" turns out to be the one guy she absolutely can't stand?
Fernando Fuerte is a total player. In every sense of the word. He’s star forward for the Sharks, the pro soccer team where I handle PR.
And I loathe him.
So when Mr. Match matches us, I know there's a mistake. And when my brother bets me I couldn't get Fuerte to ask me out even if we were a perfect match? I can't turn down a bet... even if I don't really want to go out with Fernando. Because. I don't. At all.
The problem is that the closer I get to Fuerte, the more I start to see that he’s actually a good guy. And the closer I'm afraid I am to becoming just another girl in his long line of dates.
If I fall for him, can I win more than just the ridiculous cheese bet I made with my brother? Can I actually win Fuerte’s love?
Scoring with the Keeper’s Sister is a hilariously fun romantic comedy featuring an annoyingly hot pro soccer player, a gloriously silly goalie as his best friend, a bet about Wensleydale cheese, and the matchmaking site everyone is talking about. It’s part of a lighthearted and fun series, but it stands alone with no cheating or cliffhangers.

About the author

I'm USA Today Bestselling author Delancey Stewart. My contemporary romances run the gamut of settings and setups, but they always deliver humor, heart and heat. It’s a guarantee.
I write from my home in Denver, CO, where I manage a household full of boys and men. Okay, only one man. The hubs. But two boys. I mean, three if you count the hubs. (You see why I do words and not numbers. I was told there’d be no math in this bio. Someone lied.)
I grew up in California and have had more jobs than anyone on earth (personal trainer, pharmaceutical rep, copywriter, tech writer, marketing director, wine seller, elementary school teacher… I’m not kidding. The list. It goes on.) But the one I love the most is writing, in part because I get to meet people who love books and stories as much as I do! - Reviewed in Australia on 7 June 2023Verified PurchaseLove Hate situation ...judging by reputation ...you know that's fraught with drama ...a good story that was easy to see the development and enjoy reading how these Mr Match couple overcame adversity to find their happiness **smiles**
- Reviewed in Australia on 1 January 2020Verified PurchaseAn enjoyable story with some heart warming and entertaining characters. I really liked Erica, she deserved her HEA and Fuerte was so amazing with his mum. I loved that Fuerte wasn’t quite what he was lead to be as it was nice not to read about another reformed manwhore. I find it hard to get past that sometimes though not to say he was all innocent and of course he is a hottie.
Enjoyable read.
- Reviewed in Australia on 15 February 2019Well this book ended up by being a big pleasant surprise. This is my first book by Delancey Stewart and it was just fabulous. I love rom-coms, add in my favourite romance genre-sports-and this book ticked all the boxes for me.
I was a bit confused at the start, when the book started out with Max, but it all makes sense and I thought this was a very clever and unique storyline by Delancey.
Fernando and Erica's story is a bit enemies to lovers. That is until they realise Mr Match has matched them together and they start to see each other differently.
There are plenty of ups and downs but it all added to make this the wonderful story that it is.
Would definitely read more from this author.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.
- Reviewed in Australia on 13 February 2019Erica is the pr of the team her brother plays on. Fernando is a player in every sense of the word but a dating app has decided they are a perfect match but they don’t get on or do they?

- Reviewed in Australia on 14 February 2019Erica Johnson is the PR officer for the soccer team her brother plays for and she is determined she will never date one of the players and especially not Fernando Fuerte as he never seems to be photographed with the same woman more than once When they are matched by Max Winchell on his sight they start to look at one another in a different light. ill misunderstanding destroy their new relationship or will they battle through and get a HEA that they deserve. This is a great fun read that flows well and was a pleasure to read
I was given a copy of this book but this is a true and honest review

Chock full of innuendo, good humour and just the right level of angst to keep it interesting.
Scoring the Keeper's Sister is the first full length book in the Mr Match series.
If this is how the rest of the series goes, it will be well worth waiting for!
Delancey has done some amazing work here! Looking forward to the next installment.

5.0 out of 5 stars Mr Match Strikes Again!
Verified PurchaseEveryone is talking about the new dating app that is sweeping through San Diego. Erika was talked in the app by her twin brother. Little did they know, she would be matched with the man she loathes most in the world. Fernando Fuerte, star forward of the San Diego Sharks, pro soccer team & her brothers teammate. She works PR for the team & has seen him with a new girl on his arm every other day, he's a player! A bet finally sends her in his direction, only to find out that he is a much more interesting, sensitive & caring man than she ever thought. He loves his mama & takes good care of her, now she is sick & Erika can see what it is doing to Fernando.
Fernando has always thought that Erika was a sexy as sin firecracker, who absolutely dispised him. When Max dares him to fill out the app for Mr. Match, he figures, why not? When he dets the email that he's matched with Erika, he questions Max's sanity & the algorithm of his app. Things change when Fernando get the call from his mother, they think she may have cancer. Stunned, he is sitting in his car when Erika finds him. She turns out to be the calming facter that he so desperately needs. Maybe this match could really work after all!
This couple was so much fun to read about, but their communication skills are terrible! I loved this book with its charm wit and laugh out loud moments. I loved the side charaters like Mrs Fuerte & her desire for grandbabies, or Trace & his co-dependency on his twin sister & don't even get me started on Hamish the Hammer & his penchant for balls & inappropriate emoji's! You really need to check out this story & the series, it has been amazing so far!

5.0 out of 5 stars A New Firm Favourite Author - Great ROM COM. ENJOY!
Verified PurchaseI read this book by Delancey Stewart who was a new author to me. Having read it, I then purchased my own copy and have subsequently purchased even more of her fabulous romantic comedies. With superb characters that are so very realistic and fun - the types you'd like to know. With Erica as our heroine in this story as the PR guru for the Sharks and her twin brother on the team. He makes a bet, of some seriously good cheese, that she couldn't get a date with Mr Player Himself, Fernando, who is his best friend. She may have just broken up and when she finds out that she has been matched with him she is not very impressed. For despite his good looks and oodles of charm his reputation as a player of women is not good. But maybe he can persuade her by letting her see him as he really is and not the tabloid headline man? Wonderfully written and maybe laugh out loud moments. Looking for even more to read. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Most Definitely Recommended.
