Man Candy is the 4th book in the Billionaire Bachelors series, and it just might be my favorite one to-date!!

When it comes to romcoms, no one knocks it out of the park like Lila Monroe! An attention-grabbing and original storyline coupled with charismatic and lovable characters, and sprinkle in a little bit of mystery and James Bond, you’ll be reading this book in one sitting.

Alice and Nick were irresistible and perfectly matched characters. Their chemistry and attraction to each other was combustible, which made their working relationship that much more complicated. Their unconventional relationship was a joy to read! Alice comes across as a demure, hardworking, and independent woman. But when paired with Nick, her feistiness and quick wit showcases her true intelligence and ambitions. And goodness gracious…Nick is a melt-in-your-mouth, swoony hunk of deliciousness! I need to just stop right here when talking about him because I could go on for hours. Literally….I could get on him, err…I mean go on about him for a VERY long time.

Man Candy is a fun, hilarious, and 100% entertaining must read. Flirty and romantic, with thought-provoking plot twists, this book is the perfect summer time page-turner!

Man Candy was a light read but it still get an interesting and engaging sub plot.

Alice is Olivia's reliable secretary but she wants something more.She's seeking her great adventure and her chance to become a real bond girl comes when Nick, a misterious private investigator, asks her to follow him to San Francisco for a job.
They have to expose a case of industrial espionage,at the same time they have to resist to their sexual chemestry and try to not to fall in love but this might not be as easy as they'd hoped.

I've enjoyed to follow Alice and Nick in their escapade and I highly recommended to read it.

This series is so good I'm always sad to find out I have to wait few months to get the next installment,fortunately while we wait we can read Lila Monroe's new series.

This is the 4th book in the Billionaire Bachelors series by Lila Monroe. These stories are best described as fun, light, sexy reads.

Alice works for Olivia as the office manager at her exclusive dating agency but lately she has been wanting a bit more excitement in her job. When the opportunity arises to work under cover as a fake fiance for their latest client she doesn’t hesitate to say yes.

It turns out that this new client, Nick Cameron, is the good looking stranger she kissed in a bar the night before. It was a very memorable kiss that left lingering memories and a tingle on her lips. It should be no trouble pretending to be his betrothed for a couple of weeks while he works undercover to investigate a potential fraud/industrial espionage case.

Nick is delighted to be working with Alice, she has no idea just how cute and adorable she is. Spending time with her for two weeks will be interesting, especially because they already have a ridiculous amount of attraction between them.

Alice is determined not to just be his arm candy, she wants to help him, proving that there is more to her life than just working in an office. The closer these two get the more the lines get blurred and unexpected feelings for both of them begin to emerge.

Nick’s instincts as a PI are affected by his growing relationship with Alice and he begins to second guess everything, questioning Alice’s intentions and wondering who he can really trust? He needs to get a handle on the truth or he will risk losing the only woman he has ever really cared for.

4.5 SMOOCHES!

I’ve read quite of few of Lila Monroe’s romantic comedies, and I’ve enjoyed every single one of them. She perfectly balances the heat in her stories with her wicked sense of humor and keeps her plots entertaining without heavy angst or drama to consistently produce light-hearted, easy-reading romances. My favorite thing about Monroe’s writing style is how she always manages to pull me right into the story with her vivid descriptions and interesting details. She blends those elements into imaginative storylines, peppered with fun side characters, to yield sexy romcoms that never fail to give me an entertaining reading experience.

Man Candy is the fourth book in her Billionaire Bachelors  series, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. The blurb piqued my interest because the premise was a bit different than the other books in the series. Monroe definitely has a lot of fun with the fake fiancée/fiancé trope, and while that’s been evident throughout the series, it’s even more so here. Man Candy, like all the books in the series, is a standalone, and it’s not necessary to read the others to enjoy this one.

Nick Cameron is private investigator, and he needs a fiancée for an undercover assignment. Alice is the office manager at The Agency, a firm specializing in providing high-end dates for hire to extremely wealthy patrons in need. Alice, with her quietly sexy librarian vibe, was so much more than Nick anticipated, and she surprised him at every turn. I loved how she kept him on his toes. Nick was whip smart and irresistibly sexy. Their chemistry was white-hot, and while she desperately tried to maintain her professionalism, it was impossible.

Full of humor and heat, Man Candy by Lila Monroe was an entertaining, amusing, pleasure to read, and it gets 4.5 smooches from me!

* * * 1/2 Spoiler Free
Everyone has a private side, a little something that may be a wish, a desire, something which sits in the back of our mind...waiting, waiting for just the right opportunity to come out of hiding and flourish. We never know what could be waiting to take hold... that quiet, librarian-type administrative assistant could turn out to be more wildcat than not.

Alice Jones has been living a life of order, excellent administration skills and not too exciting.
She loves working at the exclusive dating agency which handles very delicate assignments for the most intriguing men and women. She is instrumental in making sure all things are legal, clean and no hanky panky by running the background checks and giving her instinctive insights to what she finds out.

All of these investigations into other lives has caused a hidden desire of Alice's to fester..and when an opportunity to step outside the careful lines she has drawn for her life present themselves, she jumps in 100%.

Nick Chambers finds himself in a bind. A friend from the past has reached out to him; she needs him to find out how a competing candy company has stolen her recipe. This special product she was developing will be the focus of her company and if this competitor brings it to market before her... she is doomed.

As a private investigator, Nick has done many things... most on the up and up... some a little grey. This time working for his past friend, he figures out the best way to find the thief who stole the recipe is to rub elbows with the owner of this other candy company. But in order to do that, he needs a cover and that is where The Agency and Alice comes into play.

When Alice is called into her boss' office to assist with a new client, she is stunned, there sitting before her is the man she thought she was having a safe anonymous moment at the bar the other night.

Yup, Alice decided to have an out of body experience by sharing her more wild side with a complete stranger! No... it wasn't too cray cray... just that she was more open then ever and actually let herself flirt and share a yummy, sexy kiss...

Little did she know, Nick felt she would be perfect for his Fake Fiancee needs. Alice is asked to be the woman to do the assignment instead of being behind the scenes this time...and even with her boss warning her...staying objective is hard...Alice is all in.

We are with these two as they juggle their attraction to each other, the intrigue and discoveries of this candy corporate environment and how Alice steps out of her shell.

There is Chemistry, Humor, and lots of Fun abound. Just be careful not to get a Sugar High.

In Man Candy, readers reenter Lila Monroe’s Billionaire Bachelor world, and she introduces readers to Nick Chambers, a private investigator in need of a fake fiancée for an undercover operation at a candy company, and Nick wants Olivia’s secretary, Alice Jones, to be his arm candy in order to investigate a potential fraud/industrial espionage case.

But here’s where things get quite a bit more interesting because even though Alice was chosen for this role due to the fact that she is a responsible, reliable, and hardworking woman, there’s more to her than her administrative skills and throughout the course of Nick and Alice’s two week assignment, Nick gets to know exactly who Alice is, which puts him in a difficult position because as their attraction builds and their fake affection becomes real, Nick’s focus is split between his growing feelings for Alice and the task at hand, which puts him in a precarious position and forces him to determine if he can handle his personal and professional life coexisting or if he’ll have to put aside what he feels for Alice in order to not only get the evidence he needs but to protect Alice as well.

I love Lila Monroe’s romantic comedies, and her Billionaire Bachelor series has a great blend of humor, wit, and steam. Even though each book in the series is based on a fake relationship, Monroe varies the plot lines and the situations that her characters are placed in, so nothing is overused or repetitive. Nick and Alice’s story adds another dynamic to the series due to the undercover aspect of their ruse and the James Bond like maneuvers that have to be used, and that’s the part that intrigued me the most because Nick and Alice work well together and despite the pressure to uncover the proof Nick needs and the fact that Nick starts to question who he can trust, the reality is that Nick and Alice need and want each other way passed their two week fake engagement.

Who knew that sticky situations in a candy company could lead to illegal activities instead of a great product, but that’s the case that brings Nick and Alice together and it’s their sizzling connection that could melt just about any product that surrounds them.

I was smitten with Man Candy as Lila Monroe gave us yet another amazing couple and a fun story!

Nick needs a fake fiance and Olivia is up for the job and goes undercover with the gorgeous private investigator. What Olivia doesn’t know is that Nick is desperately trying not to blur the lines and show her how he really feels about her.

Nick and Olivia were absolute perfection together! I laughed and cheered them on throughout the entire book. Their chemistry made me fall in love with them and I was so engaged in their story!

Man Candy is a fun and sexy must read!

Man Candy is the fourth standalone novella in Lila Monroe’s Billionaire Bachelors Series. The one common thread through the series is that the featured billionaire needs a fake date for some event. True to form, Ms. Monroe’s Man Candy is a very fun romantic comedy with relatable characters and comedic hijinks.

I adore The Agency’s highly efficient Girl Friday, Alice Jones. She is the featured heroine in Man Candy. She is intelligent and sexy in a good-girl, librarian way. However, on the inside, she wants more—more romance, more adventure, and more meaning in her work. The hero in the book, and in his own mine, is Nick Cameron. He is handsome and suave, and being a private investigator, ticks off all the boxes in Alice’s Bond-girl fantasies. However, his background turns up nil, and by nil, I mean nothing, nada—as in the guy doesn’t exist.

Nick Cameron being an enigma in the background check didn’t work for me. The premise of The Agency is that it is high class and they do thorough background checks. For me, taking him as a client given the series premise and that it seemed he was using a fake persona, didn’t work. That said, I loved Nick and Alice’s chemistry, and the spy shenanigans were fun. Lainey, Nick’s exgirlfriend and current client, is a delicious antagonist and foil for Nick and Alice. The lightweight plot gets a bit more real as the story reaches its climax as trade secrets, corporate espionage and sabotage threaten to melt someone’s chocolate dreams.

Man Candy was not my favorite in this series, but I still enjoyed this fun, enjoyable escape read.

OM freaking God!!! Lila Monroe delivers again. Spies and candy, who’d have thunk it, lol
Lila isn’t called the Queen of Rom/Coms for nothing and Man Candy proves it without a doubt. This was a seriously addictive and hot tale of a pretend relationship becoming real.
Nick Cameron is a PI who needs help with a big case and comes to The Agency in search of a fake fiancee. Alice has been happy been working her at office manager job, but recently she’s been feeling antsy and in need of a change.
When the man she met in a bar the previous night ends up as her boss, Olivia’s client, she jumps at the chance to work undercover with him.
Undercover, not under the covers which is what her dirty mind wants.
Alice soon finds herself in San Francisco as a billionaire’s fiancee and meeting a chocolate magnate. She’s in heaven. Chocolate heaven. Plus there’s the extra hot hottie sharing her living space.. And heating up her nights, if only in her imagination.
Nick is used to working alone, he likes it that way and isn’t used to sharing. But this case is different and when Alice becomes indispensable, he finds the lines between their professional and private relationship blurring. From hot as sin encounters in a tiny closet to baring all outdoors, these two almost melted my kindle. The story of espionage and chocolate was just so seductively funny that I wanted to eat it all up.
Everything about this story was just simply delicious, from sexy, sultry Nick and quiet, shy but with a hidden femme fatale side Alice. Throw in some hot detective work, sneaking around and playing at love this book had a the warm fuzzy feels.
If you want a light-hearted, melt in your mouth read this summer, then this is the one for you. Just watch out for the candy. LOL

Rcvd an ARC at no cost to author..We have Alice's story, yay! This is the fourth installment in the Billionaire Bachelors series, I really hope that you have started from the very beginning not that you will be lost because they are each a standalone and they might mention a character or two from a previous book but again nothing that will make you puzzled, but you get so much more if you start from first book. Ok, so we have Alice who works as a secretary for the agency and she has been dying to step out from behind the desk and go on an assignment, well she finally gets her chance. Nick is a private investigator and is hired to look into a case and feels that Alice is perfect for it, thinking she will fit in and be unassuming. This is perfect for Alice she gets to live out her Bond fantasies and really is enjoy herself and working with the handsome Nick is icing on the cake. Though knowing that it is wrong to give in to the attraction she has with Nick they can't help themselves and give in. But, while on assignment Alice discovers that the person that hired them was shady and devious. She was smart enough to throw Alice under the bus since she knew Nick's insecurities and how he would react. This is where I disliked Nick, he didn't do his job correctly and immediately get suspicious of Alice after not having done his job correctly and believes this woman. I just wish that Alice made him grovel a little more, but was happy Alice found her calling and loved reading about about Olivia and Ryan!!.Enjoy!

I absolutely adore this series of the Billionaire Bachelors from Lila Monroe, and Man Candy is simply brilliant. It is a fun and flirty story, with a great plot. The story flowed perfectly and I fell in love with the characters. I devoured the story from beginning to end and could not put it down, finishing in a day!

Nick is a private investigator and approaches The Agency to get himself a fake fiancée to attend functions with whilst he looks into possibly theft of chocolate recipes.

Alice works at The Agency as office manager but she is desperate to get out and get involved in some 'field-work'. This is finally her time to shine and prove to her boss Olivia she is capable to do more. If you've read the others books in the series, we'll have seen glimpses of her before, so I was excited to get her story.

Nick doesn't work with others for a reason, and is used to solitary work. But he soon realises that Alice is a lot more useful than he anticipated, and suddenly he needs her. The chemistry between the characters was pure perfection! They work so well together and I was rooting for them throughout.

A brilliant easy to read rom-com with the perfect element of intrigue and suspense. A great selection of secondary characters (and we'll be seeing more of them too!!)

5 Star Review of Man Candy (Billionaire Bachelors # 4) by Lila Monroe

No one is more shocked that Olivia Chambers when she agrees to her office manager and right hand woman Alice Jones assisting their latest client private investigator Nick Chambers on an undercover assignment. Nick needs a fake fiancee and he wants Alice for the job.
Alice is tired of sitting behind a desk and is eager to take the assignment and is desperate to show Olivia that she can handle the job.
The chemistry between Nick and Alice is off the charts and the line between reality and make believe soon blurs.
Can their relationship based on pretence morph into something real? Or will danger and intrigue pull these two apart?

This book was so good that I really didn’t want to put it down. I loved this book from start to finish; it was a fabulous read, full of great moments that really brought a smile to my face.

In my opinion this series keeps getting better and better. One click now, you won’t be

This is the second book that I have read in the Billionaire Bachelors series and I thoroughly enjoyed it. This is a light hearted, sexy and fun read. Alice is an amazing heroine! I absolutely loved her and totally understood where she was in her life. You want to be bold, be someone else but your insecurities hold you back. Nick was a good hero and brought Alice out of her shell. The two had intense and scorching hot chemistry together, their sex scenes were sexy and passionate! I was bummed that Alice forgave Nick so quickly after he messed up, I would have liked her to make him work a little for forgiveness.
Safety Spoilers
While Nick’s client is an ex girlfriend from college there is no real OW drama, no sex scenes with OW and no real talk of Nick being a manwhore. This book is completely safe.
This story really was a fun and entertaining read and I am looking forward to reading Luke’s story!

Lila Monroe does it again! She writes the best characters and this story is no different. I fell in love with the quirky, shy office manager while hoping she got the guy.
Alice agrees to be Nick's fake fiancee for a PI job. She is looking to break out of the normal life because everyone has been pushing her to live a little, mostly her sister.
Nick has done his research on Alice. He thinks she is perfect to be the arm candy he needs for the assignment. He doesn't count of her being so amazing, thriving for the adventure he brings.
Even though the characters seem so different, the author gives them that quiet, shy and timid edge that bring out the best in the other.
Bad puns thrown in the mix of secret missions make this a breeze to fly through and fall in love.

Another perfect summer read.
Perfect for a day to just sit back relax and enjoy this easy, breezy read.
This is the 4 book in the Billionaire Bachelors series and it can certainly be enjoyed as a standalone. I have not read all the book in the series and I was totally able to read and enjoy it.
Nick and Alice’s story is supposed to be “fake news.” (Yeah... exactly what I thought!)
Not so!
What a treat!
Well written story with enough steam, humor and some unexpected twists that had me reading it in 1 sweep. The story flowed well and the chemistry and banter between Nick and Alice was combustible!

Goes down as another off my 2019 Bookworm Bingo Challenge – A book with food in the title. Alice is about to see what all the fuss was about when she finally gets out from behind that desk. Doesn’t take her long though to realise that with fantasy and reality the lines can cross in the blink of an eye.

So Alice has been working The Agency for a while as the office manager / researcher for perspective clients – finding out all their secrets to see if they should work with them or not in the first place. She has longed to get out from behind the desk and take on a job by herself but has never really pushed hard enough for Olivia to take her serious. Seems her luck is about to change when a new client asks for her to be his ‘fake fiancé’. Only problem that could arise is that this new client isn’t a complete stranger.

The night before while out with her sister, after watching a Bond classic, she spots a mystery man at the bar. Someone she marks as a kind of Bond 2.0, acting all smooth and suave. After her sister leaves, and she finishes some work, she can’t help but be drawn to him. Especially when another man appears and they do a briefcase swap. Now caught in the mystery she can’t help but get closer, helps she was about to pay her bill. Her mystery man is even better close up and takes no time in talking to her. When talk about the Bond movie she just watched comes up so does Bonds women and how easy they fall for a kiss. Which leads Bond 2.0 to do just that, kiss her senseless, stating that she clearly looked like a women who longed to be kissed – true. It’s not until he leaves, calling her by her name, that she realises she never gave it. Our mystery guy is the new client who just happens to be a private investigator. Hello Bond mystery of her own. What could possibly go wrong?

Sweet as candy? It seems not with some secrets potentially being stolen from Lainey’s company – an old friend of Nick’s. It’s what Nick is investigating and to do so he needs a nice reliable fake fiancé who can help him infiltrate the CandyShack business. He thinks that from the start but soon starts to realise that Alice has a lot more to offer and he is only just scratching the surface. When Alice is told what the ‘stolen secret’ is, and how the competition could be about to launch it first, I think I’m on board with her reaction to the idea. A chocolate bar with a hollowed out centre filled with milk, coffee or champagne, to name but a few options. Messy while eating comes to mind. But is this really as cut and dry as Nick thinks? Seems Alice is quicker off the mark with thinking something just doesn’t add up with Lainey’s story. Whether Nick will listen is another matter entirely.

Now to get closer to the CandyShack people in the know they need to go to all the right parties, Alice being the arm candy to distract the wives while Nick gets talking to the higher ups. Seems Alice might need a little help in this regard when she says the wrong thing to someone and ends up making a bit of a mess. Good job Tiffany Trout – great name – comes to the rescue after her chocolate fountain stain disaster. She also just so happens to be the assistant to the CEO of CandyShack, Mr. Janssen. Bumping into her again ends up coming with a job offer. Looks like Alice is going further undercover to help, whether Nick likes it or not. Bond 2.0 might have met his match with how much fun Alice is having with this case. Snooping can be fun and you can find out all sorts of things, just not all candy related.

Catching Nick out when he is slinking around wearing black was always going to make Alice want to follow. A little snooping around the CEOs mansion and it looks like he has a partner this time. Almost getting caught has its perks is all I’ll say when they get trapped in a closet. This soon leads to thoughts going in new, hot, interesting directions for the both of them. One in particular is that Nick seems to really like her bunny sleepers. Mainly with thinking about them bouncing in the air while they … well he never finishes the thought but you get the drift. Thoughts are nothing compared to the real thing though, sparks are definitely flying around these two.

Interesting capers these two manage to get themselves into. Great chemistry right from the start, that just got hotter the more the lines blurred. There are only so many hot as hell kisses you can take before fantasy and reality collide. Sweet as candy in places too! Another great read from a fun hot series.

I received this ARC from the author for my honest review.

A sexy romance novel with a bit of mystery. I thoroughly enjoyed Man Candy. This book had humor, mystery, romance, and heat. What more could a girl possibly ask for? Nothing. That’s what. I really enjoyed all aspects of this book. I look forward to reading more in this series. This book is a stand-alone in a series.
The plot of this book was interesting. I like the theme of this entire series. It seems to be that love finds you in the most unexpected ways. This book’s plot interested me the most though. A fake relationship and a case to solve? Sign me up. I loved the bond feel of this book, but I also liked that it was lighter at times. It kept me guessing as to who the culprit was. Also, I like totally want the chocolates described. YUMMY!
Alice is such a great character. She has always been safe, reliable, and organized. The problem with that is that she also is boring. So when she gets a chance to take a walk on the wild side, she jumps at it. I loved her personality the most. While she has always seemed reserved before, this book really showed her snarky side. I liked her confidence as well. Then you have Nick. He is a good alpha character. He is also a bone-head at times, but out heros often are. Yet we love them anyways. This was Nick all the way.
The heat in this book is amazing. Like chocolate melting in the summer sun hot. It made you need a cold drink of water when it was done. I liked the chemistry between these two characters. It is obvious that they have an instant connection, but I loved how the author built upon that attraction and turned it into more.
The writing style of this book is good. The pace is steady. It is told from dual point of view. I loved how the author left little hints as to who the culprit is, but how it was a total surprise at the end. I also loved each character and the minor characters involved. The mention of chocolate didn’t hurt either. It was an interesting concept that I have never read before.
In conclusion, sink your teeth into this novel as soon as you can. You will love how different it is than most other novels you have read. I would recommend this book to others. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Alice Jones gives a good investigation. Unfortunately her skills only come into use while behind a desk at The Agency, a company that specializes in finding fake relationships for the wealthy bachelors who need them. When the opportunity is presented for her to finally get a chance at some "field work", she jumps on the chance. And the sexy man she will be working with is just a delicious, yet untouchable bonus...

Nicholas Cameron is a private investigator in need of a fake fiancée who can help him gather intel. With one look at Alice, he knows he has to have her... as his partner, and pretend wife to be...

Despite the rules of The Agency, when Alice and Nick start pretending to be engaged and also extremely attracted to each other, their fake kisses start to be very real... and very addicting...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This was such a great read! I loved Alice and Nick and their chocolate covered mystery, and Man Candy was definitely my favorite read in the Billionaire Bachelors series... so far!
Alice loves all things spy related. Obsessing over Bond movies and femme fatale disguises, when she sets out to help Nick solve his case, she is prepared to go all out. Funny, intelligent and addicted to chocolate, she quickly establishes herself as a force to be reckoned with, and Nick's perfect right hand woman... whether he likes it or not...
Nick is a skilled PI who is used to working alone, but has very little problem bringing someone as fantastic as Alice in to help him. Well, until she starts showing up where he least expects her and distracts him from his job, that is. But, the biggest distraction of all may be trying to keep their relationship strictly professional...
I loved Alice and Nick, they were such a sexy and fun, spy obsessed couple. Nick is completely adorable when drunk, and avoiding his feelings for Alice (not very well). While he wants to get to the bottom of his case, he also wants to just spend time with Alice as the woman he happens to be very interested in.
Alice was smart and dedicated to the job at hand. While she knows she needs to avoid any romantic entanglements with Nick, she doesn't put up much of a fight when the pretend kissing leads to so much more.
This book features a case a chocolate corporate espionage, and a romance coated in the thrilling and sexy antics of the spy's who are working to crack the case...
I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.
James Bond and chocolate? That's a recipe for a perfection right there! Lila Monroe delivers laughs and love in this adorable 4th installment in her Billionaire's series. While some characters do overlap, all the books are stand alone and do not need to be read in order to enjoy the series.
Alice loves working for Olivia at the Agency, an exclusive service catering to the billionaire crowd. Lately, however, she's been feeling itchy to do more, less Moneypenny and more James, er Jane, Bond. After meeting a mysterious man in a bar and indulging in an unexpected, and altogether, delicious kiss, she's also reconsidering the moratorium she has on dating. When an opportunity arises to do field work as the fiance' of the mysterious kisser, she can't help but jump at the chance!
Nick Cameron needs a fiance', well a fake one anyway. As a private investigator, it sometimes helps him infiltrate the right crowds to have a beautiful woman on his arm. Alice Jones fits the bill, in all respects. She's beautiful, in an unassuming kind of way, smart and completely free of artifice. He just needs her for a few weeks while he investigates a corporate espionage case. Now he just needs to keep his mind on business and his hands OFF her!
This book was another completely adorable addition to the Billionaire series! Nick and Alice's chemistry sizzled off the page. The author also knows how to keep it light and there's a lot of good natured fun. I found myself giggling and grinning a lot, which I'm sure amused (or confused) the people around me. Nick and Alice are a match made in heaven and this is a super fun way to indulge your spy aspirations! If you've ever dreamed of being a Bond girl running the streets and catching criminals, I highly recommend doing it with Man Candy! ;)
Man Candy is the 4th book in the Billionaire Bachelors series and I could not put this one down; it’s fun, sexy, a little bit dangerous and it all revolves around chocolate.
Alice is the Office Manager of a prestigious Agency, when a mysterious sexy man kisses her and bails immediately she brushes it off and continues on except when she comes face to face with him the next morning in her office she realises their brief meeting was not by accident. Nick wants Alice to be his fake fiancé and help with a PI job, jumping at the chance Alice soon finds herself in the deep end. When the investigation doesn’t start adding up Alice goes head to head with Nick, will he believe her theories or will it blow up in his face?
Alice and Nick are down right hilarious; Alice holds her dreams close to her chest but shows that she can be more than the woman behind the desk. Nick knows how to succeed, he is good at his job and plays the game, he also isn’t ashamed to admit when he was wrong.
From their first encounter Alice and Nick have this sizzling undercover chemistry that cannot be denied. Each situation they end up in they lose themselves in the moment and give in to all their desires making each encounter hotter than the last.
Lila has proven that she is quite possibly the best rom-com author I have read; this book is amazing. I was captivated, intrigued and found myself giggling throughout. When you combined romance, mystery and chocolate what is not to love about it?
I personally loved the latest Billionaire Bachelors instalment and cannot wait to see where she takes Luke’s book, Mr Casanova.
Lila does it again with the Rom-Com Man Candy (Book #4 in the Billionaire Bachelors Series).
Man Candy is told in DPOV by Alice and Nick Chambers. If you've read the other books in the series, you'll be familiar with Alice, as she is the Secretary in Olivia's office. Olivia needs someone to play the roll of a fake fiancée and Alice feels it's time she proves that she's more than just a secretary and that she can handle the client without getting emotionally attached. What Alice wasn't expecting was that Nick actually did some background checking on Alice and he too thought she would be perfect for the job.
Neither one was expecting to fall for each other. "And I'm sure playing tonsil hockey with a new client isn't high on the list of model employee behavior."
Nick and Alice are undercover trying to help Nick's friend Lainey, but little do they know that Lainey is plotting against them to get what she wants. And both Nick and Alice are falling hard for each other which makes things even more complicated.
"What I want is sitting right in front of me, not just for the night, or the assignment, but for real."
The chemistry between Nick and Alice heats up in this novel, but Lainey is pulling out all the stops to keep them apart and Nick ends up believing her because of their long standing friendship. Alice is devastated that Nick wouldn't listen to her and she's made at herself for falling for him like she did.
Love prevails...in the end the guy gets the girl!
I'm looking forward to reading more from Lila in her spin-off series The Chick Flick Club!
Wow, what another amazing book from Lila. It was hot and steamy in places. I was hooked from the start.
Alice is the secretary and researcher for The Agency, she starts to feel like she's in a rut the same stuff day in and day out. Shes wanting to go out on the job. Olivia doesn't think she'll be able to handle it. But then the unexpected happens.
Nick Cameron, PI in need of a fake fiance to help with an investigation. He's quite thorough when it comes to research, he gets all the background he needs. He decides Alice is the one he wants to help him on his job.
You can see there is a strong connection between them from the start, it shows throughout. They try to fight the temptation but being in close proximity to each other on occasions it makes it harder.
During the investigation of Candyshack, which is believed to be stealing Lainey recipes, or so she has told Nick.
Will they find the mole at Candyshack and keep there hands off each other. Or is there something Lainey is hiding from them.
There is chemistry, alot of mystery, laughter crying and happiness. Highly recommend this series can't wait for the next book in the series. I honestly don't know how Lila comes up with all these amazing characters. Definitely recommend Lila's books they keep you hooked
Man Candy has everything I love in a great romantic comedy: instant attraction, hot private investigator, undercover work, one strong determined woman, and lots & lots of chocolate.
Lila Monroe doesn't disappoint me with a story that I did not want to walk away from.
Olivia Chambers is ready to take a chance and get out from behind a desk and accept a case that will have her testing her investigation and relationship skills. Olivia is hilarious and stole my heart with her insecurities and sexy banter.
Nick Chambers needs a fake fiance to go undercover at a chocolate factory. He sets his sites on one woman to take the case, it doesn't matter if it's her first time. She's perfect in every way that he may not even be prepared for. The only problem is will their chemistry be a hindrance to the case?
OMG! This story is filled with lots of laughs out loud moments, a goofy ass grin throughout my read, sexual chemistry that sends chills right down my spine and a gorgeous couple that I found myself rooting for. I can't forget to mention the mystery that kept me on my feet.
It's such a great 5 Star read!
