    What a great read! This book flowed quite quick with the little twists and turns an added bonus.
    Dylan was hot! Not just his physique and tattoo's but his values and manners made him extra swoon worthy. He was the perfect fit for Penelope who he had intense chemistry with from the get go.
    Betrayal, lust and a bit of humour aswell, I enjoyed this.

    The anticipation for this book was so worth the wait! I absolutely loved it!
    Chandler, what a greedy, nasty piece of work he turned out to be.
    Dylan and Penelope, their instant connection was heart stopping! The unexpected hurdles they encounter whilst trying to navigate the early stages of their relationship kept me guessing right to the end.
    A truly fantastic book and one I can't recommend highly enough.

    Secret Keeper – Christopher Harlan – 3.5 stars

    Secret Keeper by Christopher Harlan is the first book I’ve read by this author and is a standalone novel that is part of the Cocky Hero Bookclub. Secret Keeper follows cocky, charismatic Dylan and shy, smart Penelope. Dylan is the PA of one of the wealthiest billionaires and is working at the front desk of his building when he unexpectedly bumps into Penelope. Sparks fly and the pair share flirtatious banter, but they part ways. Reuniting once again the sparks remain, however, their lives are more complicated and entwined then ever. This book was a good easy read. Secret Keeper had a good plot, main characters and storyline with enough drama and angst to keep the reader engaged. Overall, an enjoyable read from a new author and would recommend to any romance fan.

    This book took me a bit of time to get into, love triangles aren't my go to stories. Once I got into it I really felt for Dylan and Penelope. Both were thrown into a terrible situation, I loved that these two characters with similar backgrounds were able to meet, connect and fall in love. It's a book that is sweet, angsty and swoon worthy at times, with a hero who will show just how far he will go for a girl from the neighborhood.

    I love a good Christopher Harlan story and this one was good. When your job depends on keeping secrets, information falling into your lap at every turn, learning when to use it (or not) becomes the most important thing you will do. Dylan has what it takes to be good at what he does but what happens when he falls for the absolutely last person he should fall for. Will he give everything up to get the girl, or will he give up the girl to keep what he's worked so hard for?

    ...but after going through 100 pages of this story, I got so frustrated I had to stop. It felt like standing in line for hours without knowing what was waiting at the end, wondering if it was worth my time to find out. Pages upon pages where absolutely nothing happens, too much dialogue that doesn't add anything interesting to the story and nothing to anticipate, because you don't even get to really know anything about the characters, other than where they came from and what kind of job they do or don't do.
    A good romance should make you feel what the characters feel, but that can't happen, if the POV is with the wrong person. You end up feeling nothing but being on the outside looking in and that makes it very hard to get invested. I feel like this story had a lot of potential , but was poorly written and put together. Instead of making me "feel all the feels", I got so bored I couldn't continue.
