Gorgeous: An enemies to lovers stand-alone. (Commander in Briefs) Kindle Edition

4.5 out of 5 stars 1,201 ratings

A heartwarming story of love built from the pain of the past.

The first time I saw Major Cade Jameson, his pants were around his ankles… Every line of hard-earned muscle beckoned me to, “squeeze here.” But I’m getting ahead myself. To tell this story right, I’ll have to start with the present, not the past. I owe Cade a debt. A life for a life. My name is Brecklyn Brannon and I’m not who I claim to be.

Ok so I didn’t review the first two books but have to do this now. This series is amazing I absolutely love Anniston, Theo and Cade. Theo and Anniston’s humour is what makes this series. Anniston is a baddass FMC I absolutely love her!!! Book #3 (Gorgeous) was emotional with Breck/Bennett/Cade I had to grab the tissues a few times. I’m starting book #4 and looking forward to it. ♥️

Was really surprised with this book, it was beautiful and so real. Loved Cade and Brek, Theo and Hayes are awesome, Vi, Mason and Tim cant wait for there stories. Anniston is gorgeous but a bit much, to handsey to all the guys. Loved Theo and Cades friendship.
The only thing I didnt like so didnt give it 5 stars was Brek not telling Cade who she was, sick of books that the character should tell the person they live the truth but wait and wait and then are surprised it blows up and then the person who has been lied too gets over it like its nothing and sort of blames themselves. Also not a fan of all the opened sex.
But a really good read and story line, going to start the next one now.

This book made me cry… a lot. I was an emotional mess going in when it came to Cade so the emotional tears came early and often. The letters from Breck’s brother, Bennett, did not help matters. The tears of laughter usually came in response to Breck (obviously- Cade is not funny, unless it’s in response to Theo) My personal favourite was when she made Cade go looking for a vampire she was convinced was outside her window after watching a scary movie with the boys.

We met Breck in Commander but what we didn’t know about the woman who the boys affectionately call “jelly girl” is that she has a connection to Cade. When Theo and Anniston leave for their honeymoon, Ans asks Breck to stay at the house to teach the boys to cook (and keep an eye on them) Cade is NOT happy about this.

Everyone knows that Cade has a crush on Breck but Cade refuses to pursue a relationship with anyone because of his trauma. Breck is resolute in her commitment to Cade and not willing to give up, no matter how much of a jerk he is!

This is a slooooooooow burn but when they get there… wow! Look out for the scene in the gym. It is not nor will it ever be smooth sailing for this couple.

Cade and Theo’s relationship is a highlight of this story. Their banter is hilarious. Anniston will always be important to Cade but it’s Theo who has become his emotional support.

Gorgeous can be read as a standalone but Commander tells the story of how Cade came to live with Anniston and I would strongly recommend you read it first. This is an amazing series. You will fall in love with these ex-Marines and their chosen family.

What a fantastic follow up from Commander in Briefs (which I thought was an amazing debut novel). I fell in love with the Commander’s boys in Book 1 and Book 2 Gorgeous was everything I had been not so patiently waiting for and more. Gorgeous completely captivated me, it was a struggle to put down and I absolutely loved every moment, paragraph, page and chapter of this sexy and thoroughly engrossing read. I can’t wait for more of the Commanders boys.
Thank you Kristy Marie for this sensational read and for making me feel like part of this gorgeous, unconventional and wonderful family of misfits.
Cade and Brecklyn’s story was tearful, engrossing, humorous and incredibly sexy read.
Bring on more of the Veterans.

    I'm not crying!! Your crying!!
This book! Oh my god. I just cant.
I LOVED THIS BOOK. Kristy Marie is fast becoming my favourite author ever!!! She is a phenomenal writer who manages to squish every single emotion imaginable in one book.
Gorgeous is just like its title. This book is GORGEOUS! I laughed out loud. Hysterically. More than once. I cried. Ugly tears. More than once. Out of happiness and sadness. My heart broke. My heart pounded. I swooned. I fell in love. Honestly, I was an absolute emotional mess by the end of it because it was everything and more!
After meeting all of our Characters in the first book, Commander, Gorgeous is primarily focused on Cade. Don't get upset, we still get to see all of our favourites plenty as well. But what I loved most is that we got to see Cade in a completely different light. I personally found he was so different to how he was in the first book. And if it is even possible, I love him even more. How is he so bloody hot!!!
Breck, who has pies. Cades Jelly girl. She was absolutely perfect! I loved her character just as much as the others. She was the perfect addition and found her place in their little family so easily. She had humour, sweetness, naughtiness, sass and a heart of gold!
Theo hahahaha this guy. I just cant. I have no words. I am so glad we still got to see his sex crazed, insanely inappropriate self as much as we did because he will have you peeing your pants.
If you want a book that will have you laughing hysterically, swooning, crying, cheering and falling in love, then look no further because Gorgeous is an absolute masterpiece!!! Now to continue my Kristy Marie obsession and heading off to read Drifter and learn all things Connor Hayes.

The struggles of PTSD and Survivors Guilt are such a delicate matter to address, but Kristy Marie really brought this story together with a skillful hand. With sizzling spicy scenes, a masterful understanding & use of the dark and crass humor preferred by veterans, and a heart-felt redemption Arc for our hero, aided by his sunshine warrior heroine, this veteran loved the story and was captured from the beginning to the end.
But now I have to go read the rest of the stories in the series!

I don’t even know where to start with this review other than this book is freaking awesome!!!! I have been waiting with bated breath to read this book since I finished the last one and I am here to say that the wait was totally worth it. If you haven’t read the first one of these books then what are you waiting for go go now!!!

Major Jameson (swoon) he’s damaged, bruised and hiding from the world, he and Anniston have made a start on his recovery but there is a long way to go. Running their foundation to help veterans find their place in the civilian world is what consumes him but he has a little Obsession in the shape of Breck the girl from the market and although he tries to deny it he has to visit the market stall one a week just to get his fix. But with Anniston and Theo now married and off on a honeymoon she’s arranged for Breck to move on to make sure they eat, well that’s the excuse she uses anyway but she sees the way that Cade looks at her and knows that these two are meant to be. Can Breck handle how hard he pushes her away or will she give up and walk away?

Breck came to save Cade after she finds an article about him in the paper, he’s a part of her past that she’s thought about more than she should. Major Cade Jameson was with her brother when he took his last breath and lost his entire military team, she has always wanted to find him but he vanished after the tragedy. Her brother was so happy working with him she wanted to know he was ok. Now she can finally speak to him she sees the trauma he deals with everyday. Can she open her heart to him or will he keep rejecting her and once he discovers who she really is will he even want her and forgive her for her lies?

This is not an easy book to read the pain these characters feel pour from the pages but the feelings are so worth it and never have two characters deserved happiness as much as these! If you are looking for a passionate, heartbreaking, emotional sexy as hell read then this is it.

So Kristy Marie you totally smashed it with this book can’t wait for more in this series honestly one of my fave books this year and of all time too! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This book was hard to read, I think this whole series will be. Anniston is present in every moment, the marines were kind of made by her and that is the problem because Ans is not a charismatic character. I hated her and I need to keep seeing her even if it is not her book anymore. I don't agree with the way she does some things, specially with Cade, but she still there anyway which is very annoying. If she was a good character I would love her being there, but she is not.
Her presence bugs Breck and disturbs her relationship with Cade. I understand that Anniston was important (even if I hate her guts) but her constant intervention in the story is extremely exhausting.
I also find a bit weird the way the story goes, things seem to be going so well and them something happens out of the blue and breaks the ongoing of the story. It is exhausting and us readers don't want to see that.
I kind of don't like all this voyeur vibe that this book transpires it is kind of unnecessary and annoying too.
Theo giving Breck advice was also a weird point. Theo is the worst person to give advices, I am not saying that he doesn't, oh he does, but his advices are bad. But at a point of this book he gave and absolutely incredible advice to Breck, saying some really beautiful word based on what he felt, whichI think was forcing too much. Theo is not deep, he doesn't speak sweet words so I guess it didn't fit with the person what he was saying.
I hated that they have zero privacy and seem to live under the philosophy that nobody belongs nobody.
Anyway, I gave 2 stars because despite everything it wasn't as bad as Ans and Theo's book. Cade and Breck both have beautiful stories and it was a book more enjoyable than the past ones.

Echt lesenswert. Jetzt kommt dann doch Teil 1 und dann 3 und 4.

I love Cade. He’s broken and only a special girl like Breck can love him like she does. You will laugh and cry with them. Well written. I think one of the best things about this story is that Cade and his PTSD are not “cured”, the struggle is real and a life long struggle! To other readers to truly appreciate this story I feel like you need to start at the beginning with Pitcher (also a great read). Well done Kristy Marie!
