From USA Today Bestselling author K Webster comes a standalone novel in Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward's Cocky Hero Club world!

I’m a fighter.
At least that’s what my daddy always told me.
It’s in our blood.

Hard work, hustle, and a little Hennessy is the Reid motto.
He taught me to fight for everything I wanted in life.
Take down those who threaten the dream.

My dream is to marry the perfect man.
That man is my father’s best friend and I won’t stop until I have him.
And at Daddy’s wedding in Costa Rica, I plan to make that dream finally come true.
Then, my life will be smooth sailing.

Until a chance flight with an arrogant pilot throws me off course.
Literally.
Camilo’s decisions affect my future, and I can’t allow anything—not even a cocksure, ridiculously hot idiot—to stand in my way.

Problem is, he fights back.
Every battle I’ve won in life, he shoots down and exposes me for the fraud I am.
Trapped in paradise with my devilishly handsome nemesis seems like one of the seven circles of Hell…and, boy, is it getting hot around here.

He’ll strip me of my armor.
Remind me of my past.
Force me to rethink my future.
And help me live in the moment.
Will he steal my heart too?

One thing’s for sure.
This girl won’t give up without a fight.

This book was a trip!

It was hilarious at times... okay that’s a lie, it was absolutely hilarious the whole time.

I think it was Kahea who said that the book’s supporting cast of characters were who made the boom absolutely amazing, and I honestly couldn’t agree more!!

Damian and Estefania were absolutely amazing. I loved how they, combined with Camilo, made Sheridan break out of her ice exterior self.

In all though, Damian was probably my fav character. That guy was just a glittery ball of sunshine!!

Anywho, the HEA was everything I expected it to be, especially with so many ups and downs our main MCs went through.

I loved Camilo and his sweet, alpha-male self. I loved Sherrie-dan’s growth from bitchy to normal — all she needed was to surround herself by people that loved her in spite of her nasty attitude.

It took me a while to finish it, though, because Sherri-dan was really not the h I normally root for. But she was cool in the end.

I really did enjoy/love this book — 4.5 stars!!!!

I have been so freakin’ excited for all these books to start coming out, so had to get stuck in as soon as the first one hit my kindle - and a K Webster book was just what I needed.
Not gonna lie, I wasn’t a huge fan of Sheridan to begin with, she comes across as a total rich bitch, and the way she treated people around her was awful. In true KW style though, she made me fall in love with her in the end.
From the minute CZ (Camilo) opened his mouth, I was a goner; I swooned over that man so bloody hard. He was the calm to Sheridans storm and the chemistry between them was electric.
As much as I adored the main characters, I have to give a massive shout out to a few of the supporting characters, particularly Estefania and Damian, they were absolutely hilarious. It was SO GOOD to see more from Carter and Kendall (who you will know from PLAYBOY PILOT by Vi Keeland & Penelope Ward) - I loved that Carter played such a big part in this story.
All in all, this was a brilliantly funny romantic comedy and I can’t wait to get completely lost in the COCKY HERO CLUB world.

Cute and steamy romcom

A cute and hot romantic comedy from K Webster, set in the cocky hero world. I have actually only read a couple of the books in this world by the original authors, but I know they were both funny and steamy. I think this author’s addition fits in well, and I really enjoyed the enemies to lovers vibe between the characters. Sheridan is like the uptight princess, and Camilo is a sexy yet cocky pilot. It’s just a good read if you like tension between characters.

Dnf at 55% I tried because I really like the books that inspired this new series , So I was excited to read these new stories, sadly I chose this one to start with and my excitement moved into disappointment, from the first pages I disliked Sheridan the h I understand that she is a strong and empowered woman, but what bothered me was the way she treated people as if they were dirt under their shoes, and as far as I read she still despised the people around her, and the Camilo the H is a bad copy of Carter but without charm, I honestly didn't like any of them or their story.

The situations were ridiculous and many times I found myself rolling my eyes, and the secondary characters I suppose are fine and thanks to their intervention I went so far in the book but it was not enough to continue until the end, the story is like a crazy vacation with surreal situations, it's not funny, not entertaining just boring.

I hope the other books in this series are better than this one.

***4 Stars***

This book was one hell of a ride, it was a fun one, not going to lie, but it falls into the very small group of books where I ended up loving the story due to the supporting cast of characters. This doesn’t mean that I didn’t end up liking Sheridan and Camilo, because I did, but the characters that surrounded them on their journey were all KINDS of amazing and I ended up falling in love with them a tinsy bit more than our MC’s *shrugs*. But in the end, this was simply a fun and crazy read.

Sheridan and Camilo...these two. Sheridan. She tried me. Oh dear lord did she try me. I mean it’s never really a good sign when I want to do harm to someone before the first chapter is even over, but man, she was a piece of work. I understood why she felt she needed to be a certain way, but I didn’t agree with her methods. Thankfully the blinders get ripped off her face and I ended up really liking the woman who came out to play. Camilo was easy to like from the start, but that chip on his shoulder had me growling at him as well. His reasons weren’t invalid, but when you find out more about the why, well, he definitely deserved the growling. But outside of that, it was hard not to love how he just went with the flow and truly cared about everyone who came into his orbit.

As for their journey to their HEA. Explosive is the only word that comes to time. From their first collision and all the way through to the end, they were explosive. Their chemistry was off the charts from the start and while their bickering was fun...most of the time, it was the moments where they went deeper than either of them wanted to that had me cheering for them to get their shit together and take hold of what was right in front of them

I’m a fan girl of the author’s and this book definitely fits in with her lighter more romcom fare to a T. But as I said at the start, it was the very unique supporting cast of characters that made this story for me. My favorites were Damian and Estafania ~ I NEED these two in my squad, but Eduardo kinda stole my heart and Carter was crazy fun and everyone else really brought this book to life for me and I’m crossing my toes that we’ll run into them again.

I absolutely LOVED this book. It was exactly what I didn’t realize I needed right now during these crazy, stressful times. Cocksure Ace is funny, entertaining, and brings lots of feels. It would make a PERFECT movie! All of the characters are so good. I could see it all playing out like a romantic comedy in my head. I definitely recommend this book!!

Spinning off from the Cocky series by Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland is a series called the Cocky Hero Club in which several authors are writing books set in the world or with familiar characteristics. In Cocksure Ace, we first meet Sheridan Reid who is one of those uptight boss babe type females whom you can tell has walls up and has been handed everything she has ever wanted in her life. She is her daddy's little princess and her father would do anything for her. Sheridan is on her way to Costa Rica to help celebrate her father's new marriage and hopefully, this will be the week that David will proclaim his love just for her and the pair can finally become a "power couple" and enjoy a real romance. Her flight is a tad delayed and we meet Captain Camilo Z aka CZ who is, of course, our cocky hero, and the pair clash so hard that sparks are flying off the pages. CZ has finally met his match in Sheridan and they will begin during the novel this love/hate relationship. It is a very slow burn book and It wasn't a favorite of mine as I found both the main characters so freaking frustrating. Sheridan was a rude spoilt brat and Camilo couldn't confront his real feelings and acted bratty towards his stepfather Eduardo who was trying to be nice and care for him. What I did love was the side characters as we have Damian - Mr. Hot Pink Pants and a bit of a Liberace/Elton John flamboyant character, Estefania whom is a Mexican Pop Singer and Doris and Dale who is a retired couple on what was supposed to be a holiday of a lifetime. Cocksure Ace for me was a slow burn romance and I had to persevere with the book as I had high expectations as soon as I saw the written by K.Webster. As I have only read her sexy and steamy's and dark romances, I think that suits her style more than a straight contemporary romance novel. In saying that though if you love sexy pilots and fun antics and crazy nights, then you will love Cocksure Ace by K.Webster.

This book is just what I needed. I haven’t laughed this hard and feel In love with the main characters in sometime . Once I started I couldn’t put the book done.

At first I wasn’t to sure if I was going to like Sheridan , totally thought she was a stuck up bitch. She also knows she is a bitch and admits it. Once you got past the thick skin , you totally fall in love with her. Then walks in Camilo, a cocky, playboy pilot. Sheridan sure didn’t see him coming, that is for sure. He is sweetness to her sour. I thought I was going to explode with there chemistry.

As much as I loved Sheridan and Camilo. I have to give a big shout out to the side characters, Estefania, Carter, and my favorite Damian. He was way over the top and loved it .

Sheridan Reid wants one thing to make her life perfect. Her father is getting married and she wants nothing more than to snag his best friend. Too bad for her...or maybe good... things don’t always work out the way we want them to. Camilo “CZ” Zaragoza is the co-pilot to a very eccentric group of passengers and has a rather interesting run in with what some, ok everyone, would call a hot spoiled socialite. This flight might change both their lives when a storm reroutes their destination. Can a little weather detour change these two for the better or for the worse? I was laughing a lot with the banter between these two opposites. A funny, romantic comedy with a cocky co-pilot and a rich girl that seems to have a stick up her you know where! If you’re looking for a fun read this is it. Many hilarious side characters too. Cocksure ace is inspired by playboy pilot and is part of the cocky hero club series, a collection of stories based off of the books by Keeland & Ward. Told in dual POV

description

I stayed up WAY past my bedtime to finish this one.

With a wild cast of characters, this book was witty and had this smoldering type of heat to it. Set in the Cocky Hero world, K Webster took to the skies with the original Playboy Pilot. Camilo Zaragoza is the co-pilot, sexy and a bit funny, it seems like he was put on this earth just to ruffle Sheridan Reid's feathers. Camilio or CZ has a few issues roaming around in his closet but when an expected hurricane brings him home with a small group of travelers, it is more than damaging rains that hit his family's hotel.

Sheridan Reid is a straight-up b-tch. It took a while for her to grow on me. I do have to say that there is one thing that Ms. Webster writes better than most and that is the villain. Sheridan is the villain for good while, she is rude, snobby and her crassness is enough to make you cringe. Eventually, whether it be the barometric pressure of the wildly amusing passengers her walls start to fall.

This book was not quite like the others that I have read from this author, but I enjoyed it just the same. I literally laughed out loud, cringed, and found myself wanting these two to work it out. Both needed to figure things out in their own lives and with the help of their colorful friends they just might get it together. I really enjoyed the side cast in this book. From the rainbow bright to the Costa Rican goddess, they all add life to this story.

⭐️ 3.5 "Team Handsome Pilot" Stars ⭐️
Cocksure Ace was a very entertaining read! Maybe a little too over the top at times for me, but I still had a good time with this book and its hilarious and charming characters. I'm a fan of Playboy Pilot from Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland, needless to say I was really intrigued to revisit a little of this Cocky Hero World and Captain Carter Clynes!

Camilo was an amazing hero with lots of sexy innuendos and one-liners to fit his smug personality. I loved how right from the start he was endearing. Sheridan was another story though. It took me a while to warm up to her cold and bitchy attitude. I enjoyed this couple when Camilo managed to make her cold exterior melt, but everything was a little too fast paced to completely get to me.

With her signature eccentric characters and crude humor, K. Webster invested me in this funny yet emotional novel.

Jesus Christ on a cracker, she outdid herself with this one, again! I’m not a stranger to K Webster’s work. I’ve read damn near everything she has written and every single time I think she can’t do better, she does. She’s a multi-faceted author that can pretty much right any trope and make it a hit. She knows how to mix the crazy with the sexy exceptionally well. Cocksure Ace has all her best qualities as a writer mixed in it. It has a little bit of crazy with a whole lot of laughs, sprinkled with some dirty sexy, wrapped up in a huge heart! This is a quick read but don’t mistaken that for shallow because it’s far from that. Pay attention … you might need a Kleenex!

This book took me by complete surprise and I love surprises like this.

I have to be honest though.. I did not like the heroine most of the book, especially in the beginning. She was a complete bitch, one of those rich daddy's girl bitches going on about "do you know who I am?" etc. And she was awful to everyone at first. Ugh.

And I loved the side characters! Especially Estefania.

I believe this was the first book I've listened to that was narrated by Gomez Pugh but it definitely won't be the last.

I knew there was a going to be books created in a new world called "Cocky Hero", just like the Pennyverse (Penny Reid's world), but I didn't know anything else so when I was browsing around Audible's website looking for something to listen to on AE, I was surprised to see this book and a few more books in the Cocky Hero world there. So I jumped right into this one and was pleasantly surprised. I can't wait to read the other books in the Cocky Hero world.

This is the first book that I’ve read like this where it takes place in a world I’ve read before. I loved it! Even the small glimpse of Carter I got bright back how much I loved Playboy Pilot and K Webster rocked this book.

There is so much I want to say about this book. About both Sheridan and Camilo. Own is hot and one is cold, then rolls are changed and one is broken and one is trying to find them self and when they really want to be. It was beautiful to see. They are both smart and stubborn characters but they were perfect for each other.

I loved the secondary characters. We had funny ones, sweet ones and a little bit of everything in between. They helped when it came to the tension that we had with Sheridan and Camilo in the start of the book. Estefania was my favorite. She was so sweet. I really want her to be my best friend. That girl needed the break she got during this book.

Overall, it was a hit for me. I was pulled in, my heart broke a few times. I laughed a lot and rooted for these characters to find their way and hoped for that HEA that all readers want. I was not disappointed. I honestly loved seeing Sheridan come into her own in this book. Yeah we get a hot Spanish pilot but with her....... it was beautiful and heart breaking but so amazing. 5 stars #2OCCJD

*I received a free copy to read & review for Wicked Reads*

Cocksure Ace was a humorous (at times), frustrating (at other times), slow-building contemporary romance brought to you by K.Webster!
I'm not going to sugar coat this review, nor will I summarize or give it all away.
This wasn't my favorite story by this author.
Maybe it was the characters, but I must say she did a good job developing them. Sheridan is the successful, yet spoiled, daughter of a business tycoon. She's looking forward to her father's wedding in Costa Rico to finally get a moment alone with David...
On the flip side, Camilo is a fun-loving, super cocky, never serious, pilot of the flight. He's goofy, a little too "fun" and is not interested in Sheridan...not at all.
-These two characters were just too much. She was just straight up bit**y, and he was too laid back. I didn't connect with them until at least half way through.
What did keep me interested was the side cast! Every single one of the additional characters were perfect in the story.
I am just not a fan of this type of story, the climax wasn't my thing. I feel like these guys were too old to be pulling this kind of high-school stuff. Although there were some very HOT scenes, overall this just wasn't for me.

I've only read one other book by K Webster, and even though if was dark, I still really enjoyed it, so I was eager to see her write a 'lighter' romance. And even though I did enjoy it, it was a little over the top. But it was hilarious and made me forget all that's happening in the world, albeit for a few hours, so that's a blessing in itself!

Camilo was easily the best part of this book. He was endearing, smug, sexy with all his snark and smirk, but he was also so genuine and real.

Sheridan was the one that I had a problem with. She was stuck up, cruel, thought her shit didn't stink, and frankly, she was just so frigid. So that definitely detracted from the overall book for me, but otherwise if is still a wonderful read!

**I received an ARC of this book and these are my honest opinions.**

This book is kinda fun. I don't care much for the ending but I like the part where everyone got stranded in this rundown hotel in Mexico. Damian is really the best gay friend anyone could ever ask for . Everyone working in the rundown hotel is all so friendly and chirpy and full of life I feel like I wanna spend time there with them even though it drive Sheridan nuts.

I was kinda sad to see that everyone parted ways after the storm lifted and everyone went and headed to their destinations. And My gOD Camilo is such a dick when his dad died. What an idiot thinking like he deserved to snapped at everyone after his dad died, like he is the only one in the world who dad had died.

Sheridan is on her way to her father's wedding with a plan to snag his friend. Plans go awry when she is stranded on an island with the pilot Camilo. Camilo is a sexy, hot AF pilot. Sheridan starts out as a spoiled, pampered woman but turns out to be more than that as she gets involved with Camilo. The couple end up with a wicked attraction and steamy sex scenes. A great read with an awesome ending.

It took a hurricane to bring these two lovers together. Sheridan Reid is a rich, rude, and spoiled. She works hard and gets what she wants. What she wants is to get to get father’s wedding in Costa Rica. Her dad is waiting and so is David, the man she is destined for. Hurricane Rodrigo and Pilot Camilo have a different say in the matter. Stuck on an island with the sexy pilot, a Mexican rock star and a glitter Queen is not where she wants to be. A perfect storm of lovable characters that crack Sheridan’s hard shell. Before she knows it, she has friends and falls in love. Loved watching Sheridan’s character grow and shed her skin. Camilo has some growing of his own. He was laid back , arrogant and had a dirty mouth. When they meet there is no love lost. The share some hiccups along the wY. Friends and family help guide them to the right path. Fun story with some heartbreak. Great cast of characters

I read K. Webster’s newest release, Hood River Rat right before this one, and I feel that I read an entirely different author, and this isn’t a good thing. Hood River Rat was K. Webster through and through. This book seemed like a different author writing it; it did not flow as K’s other books do. I didn’t enjoy this one. I was bored. I skimmed most of it. I was not excited to pick this up whatsoever. I spent so much of the time I was “reading” on Facebook.

The character believes herself to be in love with her father’s best friend, but after being stuck on the ground with a cocky pilot, she realizes this isn’t the case. After an intense hook up, they eventually learn to like each other.

I just couldn’t connect to these characters. I felt disconnected from them and the plot, and thus was just very bored while reading.

At first, I was unsure about Cocksure Ace. It didn’t grip me at first, and I felt like things were a bit forced and the characters somewhat annoying. Fortunately, the more I read the more I enjoyed. In fact, I quickly became addicted and could not put this one down.

Cocksure Ace quickly grew on me, and I found myself laughing at all that played out. The characters were a lot of fun and there was more to it than I initially expected. There were some points when my interest started to drop, but for the most part I was hooked. There were plenty of smiles and laughs, and I ended up loving this.

Even though I wasn’t crazy about this one at first, it more than won me over in the end.

This is the first book in the Cocky Hero Club that I've read and it was fantastic. Set in Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward and Cocky Bastard World, K. Websters brings to life the story of bossy princess/career-focused Sheridan Reid and cocky and hot-as-sin private pilot Camilo Zaragoza.

Their first encounter is hilarious. Sheridan is spoiled, bitchy, and is trying to fly to Costa Rica for her dad's wedding. She is bossy and annoying, to the point where I wanted to slap her (I didn't like her at all). CZ is a playboy with a sharp verb and decides to set her straight, why not have fun with the bossy princess? Their attraction is instant, their chemistry insane and their banter is funny.

Enter one powerful hurricane, which will force them to change their immediate plans. They will be forced to spend time together making things interesting and steamy. The whole situation will be accompanied by a group of hysterical and mismatched side characters: a sweet and super famous Costa Rican singer, a glittery/reality tv interior designer, and a big and loud Mexican family.

The story flows and, while it's not short of drama, it's funnily told. I laughed a lot with this improbable set of characters. Camilo is swoon-worthy while Sheridan becomes likable as you get to know her. Great way to start the Cocky Hero Club!

“I told her she was going to fall in love with me. I’d been partially joking. Joke was on me, though.”

Cocksure Ace was a steamy, addicting, insta love story that left me with hearts in my eyes.

Camilo is a hot, intense pilot who knows just how to steer Sheridan’s plane. He backs down from NO challenge and goes full throttle into ever circumstance.

Sheridan. Oh baby girl, Sheridan. I’ll be honest. I did not like her at first. She was catty and mean and royal prude. But she opened up. Poor girl had been through so much and was only reacting the only way she knew how.. by not caring.

This story intense and beyond hot. I LOVED the side characters. Oh my gosh.. Damien is one of my favorites.. EVER.

I definitely recommend reading this one! It’s got your typical K Webster steaminess and it had me laughing, crying, and swooning all in the same chapter.

Holy Cow!! Camilo and Sheridan’s story was EVERYTHING! This book had me rolling! It was hilarious and sexy and original. I could literally go from fanning myself from the heat of these characters' connection to cracking up. It was slap full of these one-liners that had me dying, seriously I was like “and now I’m dead” lol

Sheridan is gorgeous and focused. She is weathly and super successful. She’s also snobby and somewhat entitled. She’s on her way to her dads wedding in Costa Rica. While there she plans to get her dads BFF to once and for all finally stake his claim on her. One measly little category two hurricane and a super hot pilot that’s too concerned with everyone’s safety managed to derail her plans. Camilo is this smokin hot playboy pilot, and oh my god y’all is he ever hawt! He loves his family and is a total ladies man, tending to hook up wherever they have a layover.
Both of them are dealing with some internal emotions and that just gives them more fuel to add to their fires, Hers in the form of her rigidity and him is his playful no seriousness towards attachment attitude. From the moment they meet sparks fly and you're never sure what you're gonna get. They are at each other's throats. For once Sheridan finally found someone that can stand up to her verbal spars and give back to her as good as she can throw out and it’s.freakin.hilariously.hott!!
I adore every character in this book and would love to have ALL of their stories. The humor and fun of this entire book just brings fun and excitement. It’s such a hot quick read that’s perfect to break up the seriousness of everything that’s going on right now in the world. Let this book come and give you an escape, because it will and it’s fantastically epic!! I love the fact that from one minute to the next I don’t know if they are going to start fighting or well… you know🤫😏

My cr8zysockbookblock blog wrap up for this book!
⭐️⭐️⭐⭐⭐️- If you are looking for a hilarious and funny book with amazing characters grab this book. I love K. Webster’s writing and I read everything she writes and she’s so good. She writes angst and drama so well that when she puts out something like this I realize I almost forgot how incredibly funny she is. I love her romantic comedies as well. If you haven’t read funny K.Webster you are in for a treat. You laugh your bonkers off, I know I did 😏
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥- I would become a member of the mile high club for Camilo any day of the week and twice on Sundays!!Even in the little Airplane bathroom between flyers on the way back home from an annual chili cook-off!! Okay maybe not quite but you fell me right?!!!! I mean dang y’all! SMOKIN!!
🌪Cliffhanger Warning-No cliffhanger! HEA PERFECTION YEAH!! 😍😍

This was a nice read ...

We can totally see it's an added book for another author series, because i know it's not her style, i read every book from this author.

It was crazy and over the top and a bit unrealistic at least the first half of it.

The h meets the H and the other characters in a plane, our H is one of the pilots, they were directed to Costa Rica but they had to land in Mexico because there is an hurricane alert, they have to stay at the only hotel in that zone , which is the H's family property.

We have a really unlikable heroine , i think she is around 25, she is a business woman but she is totally a daddy's girl, she is rich , hateful, disrespectful , annoying ,snob, full of herself , a brat, a b***h 🙄🙄.

She is super clingy of her father since her mother death when she was 9 years old,
so clingy that all her life is around her dad, no friends and basically no life.

She is really dumb thinking she is "in love" with David which of course it's her dad best friend .... she wants to be with that man , she is obsessed with the idea of him ,also being with him, she will be always around her daddy too, since he is also his partner . They had a few things going on (before she meets the H)🙈🤢she dreamed to marry him,and she wanted to go in Costa Rica to her dad's wedding and try to convince David that they can be a thing bla bla...she was so stupid lol ....

Anywayyyyy......

In the few days she was with Camilo (our H ) and the people from that private jet she was a total bit*h with them, saying also that the hotel it's a shith*le , she didn't care about anybody feelings, all of those people were super friendly and nice to her, and she was always a brat,at least at first..she rejects people being close to her, she wants to be numb and cold, to not be hurt....

Luckily the last half of the book she was more likable, and i felt better about her, but my small rating it's all because of her.

In the few days in Mexico we get to know the people from that plane , and Camilo's family too, it was all like a RomCom , with a lot of things happening, it was like seeing episodes of a series tv ,where we see multiple things going on, they were all over the top ( i wish the book was more about the main couple)

She and Camilo had a hateful start but they end up spending time together and being intimate, during that time, even knowing that will be a fling she finally started to realize that David was nothing for her, and what she felt for Camilo was like nothing she felt before , she finally started to let her real self go out and she was being finally more worm and nice to the new friends she made.

Then when they got back to their life's in a matter of a few weeks, they go back to each other and then a bad thing happened and after a month of separation they go back together again, and start a new chapter of their life for good.

The books was nice, but nothing special , because of the h, she was all wrong in this.

Camilo was a good H , and he felt the challenge in being with a girl like her, because he felt she was more than the cold b**h she wanted the people see he did all he could to challenge her and get to know the real her.

The last half of the book was good.
