Can a divorced man find love with a much younger woman?
Damon Macklin
He’s been divorced for years and is preparing for his oldest child’s wedding when a beautiful young woman runs into him in the resort lobby.
He’s much too old for her, but when his daughter, Karissa, decides – once again – it’s time for him to “make nice” with his ex-wife, he tells her that he’s dating someone. Which someone? He uses the name of the woman he ran into at the front desk.
Chloe Morgan
She’s hiding out at a Lake Tahoe resort for the weekend after catching her boyfriend and cousin in an intimate act. Her best friend, Dalilah Knight, pays for her reservation and all she must do is pretend to be her friend for the weekend.
Simple? Wrong.
What happens when two people, who shouldn’t have anything in common, get thrown together for a weekend at a five-star resort?
Will Chloe help Damon out when he gets caught in his lie? How long can they keep their hands off each other while pretending to be a couple?
Do Chloe’s parents know where she is? Will Chloe ever tell Damon her name?
What happens in Tahoe, stays in Tahoe. Not always.
What if Damon and Chloe have a lot more in common than they think?
Manhattan here we come.
Can they work past their miscommunications and fears?
This story is filled with twists, turns, ups and downs. By the time you’re done, you’re going to feel like you just stepped off a roller coaster ride.
I specialize in quick, dirty, and sweet short stories and novellas with some novels for your reading pleasure.
I write for busy working mothers who admire and acquire books that provide the full escape of a novel but don’t have a lot of time.
More importantly, I offer insta-love, smutty sex, and swoon-worthy moments that will leave you with a flushed face and a giddy smile. Quick – pray no one is watching and wondering what in the hell is wrong with you because no one else looks that happy.
People who have read my books have the following to say: “This insta-love story is extremely funny, a quick read and just filled with so much good and filthy stuff. I cannot recommend this book enough to anyone that likes Alexia Chase or is just thinking about picking one of her books up for the first time. Just make sure you are reading this where you can laugh out loud and get a crimson face when you read the erotic sex scenes.” LF Books & “I’ve read a lot of books written by Alexia Chase; she has done a great job at writing another good short story; she is one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of her books.” Jeanne Richardson
My writing gives busy women that thirty-minute escape they need when they can’t afford a trip to the Caribbean with their secret lover, Dimitri.
My Soul Sisters don’t even have time to get away from the kids to take a shower.
I rarely read book blurbs before reading a book. Yes, I judge books by their cover but also their title and author. I've read and loved several of Alexia's books so it was a no brainer to get in line for this one.
As I got into it, I had strong suspicions on where it was going and I'd originally planned to savor it over the course of several days but I could NOT tear myself away. The journey Chloe and Damon take starts on a lie compounded by another lie. None of it malicious (unless you count scaring the ex away).
Anyway, what happens after a magical weekend and truths are revealed? It's sensual, heartbreaking, nerve wracking, amazing, funny, steamy, emotional, and TOTALLY worth the read to find out! ❤💐
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Excerpt: Damon I slide the door shut, hold the bottle of beer in one hand, and lean over the balcony railing. The view is spectacular. I didn’t think Karissa was going to go for a Lake Tahoe wedding. She was hell-bent on a beach ceremony. However, choosing an all-inclusive resort in the mountains is a better choice, in my opinion. I’m not a sand kind of guy. Lifting the bottle to my mouth, I take a slow slug off it. Like I’m ever getting married again. That ship has sailed. When the door to the adjoining balcony slides open, I stare. The dark-haired woman from the lobby is my weekend neighbor. Holy shit. My heart skips a beat. She’s even more stunning in natural light. Her dark eyes slip over me, taking everything in. “I wasn’t expecting anyone else to be out here.” She cocks an eyebrow and glances over my shoulder. “Alone?” “Yes, I’m alone.” “Oh.” She purses her lips, shuts the door, and moves to the railing. In her hand is a third full glass of amber liquid. “Who were you expecting?” Ah, Karissa. She saw me with Karissa. A slow smile spreads across my face. “Jealous?” “Shit.” She jerks back and glares at me with narrowed eyes. “No, I’m not jealous. I don’t even know you.” “I told you my name.” I step closer to the wall that separates our two spaces. The barrier is a couple of inches below my waist. “Once again, my name is Damon, and the woman I was speaking with is my daughter, Karissa.” “Oh.” Her eyes round, and she flushes a pretty pink over her chest and along her cheekbones. Damn. She’s beautiful. I tilt my head and study her closer. She seems familiar. Where have I seen her before? A magazine? No. It wasn’t a magazine. She sucks her bottom lip into her mouth, and my cock twitches. I want to taste those plump lips against mine. “How old is she?” My shoulders straighten, and I step back from the railing. Nothing like a slap in the face to remind me of my place. I’m an old geezer and she’s the young, innocent woman. “She’s twenty.” “I see.” She places the glass to her mouth, closes her eyes, and takes in a long sip of the drink. After she swallows, her eyes pop open, and she studies me intently. Damn. For the first time in ages, I feel like I’m being judged and coming up lacking. I’ve lived in the same neighborhood for years with the same friends. Everyone knows me. Over the last ten years, I’ve made a name for myself in the business world. Even when my newest business partner and I sized each other up before signing on the dotted line a couple of weeks ago, I didn’t feel this – exposed? It’s hard to pin down a word for her perusal. “Vacation?” I blink and try to clear my mind. Everything is in a jumble. “What?” “Are you here on vacation?” Her eyes are wide as she speaks to me like I’m in kindergarten. “Not exactly. My daughter is getting married. We’re here for the wedding.” I tip the bottle of beer to my mouth and drain it. The bitter liquid almost makes me choke. “Ah.” Her eyes and face turn soft. “I love weddings.” “So, does my daughter.” I arch an eyebrow. What is it with women and weddings? Give me a pair of jeans, a t-shirt, and a bottle of beer in a local bar, and I’d be set. “Tell me all about it.” She moves to the railing, places her elbows on it, and leans over. My eyes steal to the cleavage she’s showing from this position. Her curves are subtle but perfect. Shit. I jerk my attention back to her face. Fuck. How old is she? Please, God, don’t be under seventeen. Lusting after an underage girl is something I’ve never stooped to. At least not since I was that age. I clear my throat. “How old are you?” “Why?” Her bottom lip pops out in a pout. “Call it curiosity. How old?” In anticipation of her answer, my muscles tense. If she’s under eighteen, I need to take a shower and hit a confessional. “I’m twenty-one. I’ll be twenty-two next month.” Thank fuck. I scrub a hand over my face. Not that fifteen years isn’t an insurmountable difference, because it is. But at least, I don’t have to worry about going to jail for the dreams I’m going to have about her tonight.
Reviews: “If you want to read a story with meat and angst, then you have certainly chosen a great book to read. Alexia Chase has done it again in bringing a well-rounded romance full of heat and passion. You can’t help but fall in love with the characters in this fabulous story. You won’t be disappointed in reading Reckless Suit.” Fiona “I love age gap stories with an older man and this book was just that. Chalk full of emotions, forbidden love and some drama from an ex and it was a great story! Chole and Damon are everything I love in an instant love story. The whole book kept me turning the pages to see what was going to happen next. Will everyone finally accept them as a couple or will family drive them apart? This is one of my favorite Cocky Hero Club books so far!” Rhonda
“I absolutely loved this book. Chloe and Damon were smoking hot. I loved their chemistry and connection throughout the book.” Lisa
“Wow this hot and sexy book was so good. Alexis Chase was a new author for me, and I wasn’t sure what to expect but dang this was good. A age gap romance that starts with a false name and no promises but they’ve reconnect at work and then we follow Damon and Chloe’s love story as they get hot and heavy while keeping their relationship secret from her family which is hilarious at times.” Belinda
“Alexia Chase is another new to me author and I am discovering a lot of great ones while reading the Cocky Hero Club Books. Each one I read I think is a little better than the last!” Janet
“Oh, my Chloe and Damon! Silver Fox! Age Gap! Instant Connection. Reckless Suit hit all the boxes for me!” Becky
I just finished Reckless Suit by Alexia Chase and all I can say is, this novel was explosive! I couldn't get enough of Chloe and Damon's romance! Everything I love about a romance lies within the pages of this story.
About Reckless Suit:
A broken heart leads Chloe on a destination she never even imagined for herself in Lake Tahoe. She's always lived her life on the right side of the spectrum. She was the perfect daughter, a terrific student, and never once stepped outside of her comfort zone. until the moment she walks in on her boyfriend and her cousin going at it. Now she's determined to leave her pain behind for a weekend and just clear her mind under the disguise of her best friend Delilah.
Damon lived his younger years raising two children on his own and building up a successful business. He never had time for a relationship, and considering who his ex wife is, he never wanted a relationship. His kids were all he ever needed in life. Now he's leading his daughter, Karissa, down the aisle towards the man she's meant to spend the rest of her life with, Decker.
A weekend in Lake Tahoe is about to change his life's direction. He's about to meet the woman of his dreams. And even though she's a tad big younger than him, fate is going to step in and rewrite both of their paths. Because what happens in Lake Tahoe, doesn't always necessarily stay in Lake Tahoe.
My Thoughts:
I'm such a sap when it comes to single father romances and I've been really getting into age-gap romances, as of lately. I can't help but enjoy the drama that usually comes along with these two tropes. Trust me when I say, there is a fair share of drama that follows Damon and Chloe's romance. It's simply beautiful, that's the only way I can put it. I feel in love with the love these two characters share. My heart wouldn't slow down for the whole duration of this novel. I couldn't get enough.
What I loved most was the undeniable connection and the heartfelt chemistry between Damon and Chloe. From the first meet, even though she was still under the cover of her best friends name, these two had a spark. the type of spark that couldn't be put out easily. I loved the fact that Chloe never lied about the person she was and her life's experiences. She shared her pain with Damon while she shared her heart with him. The only lie she fibbed was her true name, everything else was open and honest. I loved the honesty in the first half of this novel.
The second half of the novel is where all the drama unfolds!
Not only was their a forbidden romance aspect, along with a age gap perspective, but there was also one of my all time favorite tropes, and this trope is crossing the fence between readers who love to read it while other readers absolutely hate that it exists in romance novels. that trope is the secret baby romance trope! And you all know there is loads of drama that can surround this story when adding this trope in the mix!!! I'm all for the drama and the little bits of heartbreak planted here and there. I'm all for a parent finding out there is a baby and it's coming whether they like it or not. But I'm a drama queen when it comes to romance novels and for me It only makes the love these two share that much greater and the possibilities of a happily ever after that much stronger.
I also loved watching Chloe grow into the person she was always meant to be. She lived a life being sheltered by her father, and she craved that independence that lived beneath her surface. Her trip to Lake Tahoe, without telling her parents where she was going, was the first step towards her new life. I liked her take charge moments and standing up for her wants and her wishes. She really touched my heart throughout this novel.
Damon Macklin is a force to be reckoned with. This man has checked off every single box on my 'what makes a great book boyfriend' list. He has a heart of gold, he's a great single father, he's a rockstar in the sheets, he has alpha-male tendencies, he loves full and unconditionally, he's self sufficient, and he brings the perfect combination of swoon and sweet to the pages. This man may just be one of my top book boyfriends of 2020!!
I couldn't get enough. I wasn't ready to see these two go. I definitely need more Chloe and Damon in my life!
Overall, Reckless Suit is a must read!!!! This is my first read by author Alexia Chase, and honestly, since finishing this novel I've been scouring amazon and goodreads for more novels by this author. I love the way she tells a story, I love the way she bring emotions into the mix without a lot of unnecessary drama. The only drama in this novel is deliciously dirty and very....very necessary! I couldn't get enough which is why I have added Chloe and Damon's story to my top ten reads of 2020 list!!! It's definitely a romance that needs to be read and a story that needs to be cherished!
This is a super good read. I read this in one sitting as I thoroughly enjoyed it. As my partner is older than me I love age gap stories and this was another great age gap read.
Damon and Chloes story isn’t plain sailing. There is lots of drama which had me glued to the pages.
Great read. I’ll definitely be looking into more from this author in the future.
Another great addition to the Cocky Hero Club series. Love this fun rom-com/age gap romance. Damon and Chloe’s story was so much fun to read. Great chemistry between them. Can what started out as a lie for a wedding actually turn into something real? Love this author’s work and can’t wait to read more.
I read an early review copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Look, I love an unexpected twist in any book. But when your twists aren’t actual twists but convoluted, ridiculous, unrealistic, far-fetched plot points you throw into a story for shock value and/or unnecessary dramatic effect, your story loses credibility.
I am beyond baffled how this story ended up on a blogger’s kindle as an ARC copy at this stage in its development. In my humble opinion, this is a draft copy that needs serious beta input, and a far cry from an ARC copy.
An age gap romance that filled with secrets. It's a romance that has the usual drama and over the top . It's for those people who enjoy those kind of romances but a longer story that slightly drags. It's the story of Chloe, yes that Chloe who all met as a child. The heroine is the saving grace. She is smart but made a mistake with her ex-boyfriend who wants her for the money and make a fast escape to the other side of the country. She playing a dangerous game though when she meets the hero Damon who is there for his daughter's wedding.
They get mixed up in a big game of lies and then it's back to their normal lives. Nobody the wiser except it's not.....
There is a little too much cliche in this book. Chloe who I adored as a child in Stuck Up Suit had the right moves to deal with Damon but there was way too many lies to keep this game up for so long. I love insta love romances but this didn't capture my attention as it was too complicated. These type of stories are supposed to make things easy so we can have plenty of fun times so it wasn't my favourite book from this world.
Oh my, Reckless suit had it all going on...literally. Instant attraction, age gap, witty sexy banter, smoldering romance and oh yes a bit of mistaken identity. Damian is a single dad with adult children and he is finally able to look for that connection with someone. Chole is away using a fake name and just wants to lay low after a cheating ex made getting out of Dodge easier than dealing with the fallout. This couple is funny, sexy sweet and are going to have quite a mess to sort out when real life comes knocking ! What a crazy sexy ride . ~~Michele McMullen ~~
This was a great rom/com. I hadn't read anything by Chase before so this was a treat! I am always a fan for a good age gap romance. Chase delivered in spades on this one!

Alexia Chase is a new to me author, but I love a good age gap romance.
Chloe, who is the daughter of Graham from Stuck Up Suit, caught her boyfriend in a rather compromising position. She needed to get away, she needed to be alone. What she didn’t expect was to run into Damon and become his fake girlfriend.
Chloe and Damon’s story is an insta love romance that brings the heat, romance and the laughs. Damon is a good guy, a great father and you can feel the love he has for his two children. Chloe is all grown up and she is ready to live her life. I loved the chemistry between these two, things between them could definitely melt a kindle.
There is a little drama when it comes to their relationship, because well Damon is Graham’s business partner. This story was somewhat predictable for me, but I still did enjoy reading it. If you’re looking for an insta love, age gap, forbidden romance that is a fairly quick read definitely check this one out.
I think I maybe one of the few that is not really into age gap-Man older then girl books - I don't mind the occasion older woman — younger man thing maybe because I'm in my forties and I like to put myself into the book! But I did enjoy Alexia Chases 'Reckless Suit' the second book in this new group of Cocky Hero Club stories where we get to catch up on a second generation member. This time it is Chloe the daughter of Graham from Stuck-Up Suit. The story line was good and if you like younger girl/older guy then you will enjoy this story!
Chloe is the good girl always doing what her dad wants and normally she doesn't mind but after breaking up with her boyfriend she just wants to get away — so pretender to be her best-friend at an exclusive hotel doesn't seem like a bad thing until she meets Damon - wealthy handsome and older Damon is out the same hotel for his young daughters wedding.
Damon and Chloe strike up a conversation - Damon needs a favour Chloe needs to get out of her comfort zone for a couple of days so it's seems like a no brainy to help Damon after all he does make her girlie bits tingle!
The two never expected to see each other again but oh boy do they where they least expected.
This is going to be one very bumpy ride for these two as they navigate their growing feelings for each other while dealing with the fall out!
Reckless Suit is one of those books where I found it difficult to decide upon a rating. At first, it hooked me. The deeper into the book I got, however, the closer to skimming I became. It was interesting, I wanted to see how things came together, but it didn’t wow me.
There’s no doubt there is plenty packed into Reckless Suit, but that was part of the issue I had. The details left me wanting more, but there were never any twists. It was clear what was coming from the start, and it left me disappointed when there was no big shock to be found. Add in the fact that everything seemed to be resolved extremely easily, and this one fell short.
Although I didn’t quite love it in the way I had hoped, it had me hooked and devouring the story in no time.
I absolutely loved this book. Chloe and Damon were smoking hot. I loved their chemistry and connection throughout the book.
When Damon met “Dalilah” in Tahoe for his daughters wedding, he felt a pull towards her but he was weary of relationships since his failed epically with his ex-wife. These two had off the charts chemistry and I just loved them together. Damon gets upset when he finds out the woman he was starting to fall for isn’t being honest with him.
They are each very surprised when they return to work and Damon sees “Dalilah” and discovers she is really Chloe, his business partners daughter. While their age difference isn’t an issue, not telling Graham becomes their biggest struggle.
I really loved how Chloe immediately got along with his family so well. I also loved seeing Graham and Soroya so much in this book.
I love age gap stories with an older man and this book was just that. Chalk full of emotions, forbidden love and some drama from an ex and it was a great story! Chole and Damon are everything I love in an instant love story. The whole book kept me turning the pages to see what was going to happen next. Will everyone finally accept them as a couple or will family drive them apart? This is one of my favorite Cocky Hero Club books so far!
Reckless Suit has so many tropes that I love- a combination of secret identity, age gap, taboo, fake date, and another that would be a spoiler. Needless to say, these in combination were certainly a delight, and this was a sweet and sexy read.
Chloe is rebounding from her lame scumbag boyfriend- so she assumes the identity of her besties and goes off to a resort on her own to relax and get away not only from her boy troubles but to escape her lovingly over protective dad (thus her pretending to be a friend)- whom fans will recognize as Graham from Stuck Up Suit. Chloe isn’t the 4 year old we met before anymore- she’s a 21 year old trying to figure out what she wants as she’s preparing to work with her father.
At the resort, she crosses paths with the much older but decidedly handsome and charming Damon, there to marry off his daughter. Yeh, Damon is practically her father’s age, but the chemistry is INSANE. They are quite frankly ravenous for each other, and they spend a steamy weekend together with Chloe publicly dating Damon to shield him from his bothersome ex at the wedding. Despite their age, they seem to click- they enjoy one another’s company and are just charming together. In the bedroom, it is scorching- and Chloe experiences somewhat of a sexual awakening given her lacking prior experiences. Their tryst is sordid and hot- just the distraction they both need. Neither anticipates the weekend to last beyond this- Chloe is not only young and a veritable stranger, but she’s also been lying about her identity, something Damon does not handle well. And, Damon is at the end of a phase of life that Chloe has just begun -he’s settled, has a career, has grown children.
Fate, that fickle mistress, has other plans, though, and in an unexpected twist these two cross paths yet again. Given the nature of their path-crossing and Chloe’s age, they try to fight it- but both have been left wondering about the other since their magical weekend.
Both characters are likable-Damon has charisma in spade, and he’s actually just a nice and affable guy. And Chloe has some spunk and drive- although much of this is about her embracing her own wants and desires. While we have some standard and predictable miscommunication drama, for the most part their story is just straight up sweet and scorchingly sexy. We start with more of an instalust, and I was worried the connection wouldn’t deepen, but over time we get to see them settle into a reassuring familiarity, a connection where they are so in sync you don’t really recognize any differences in maturity.
Our ending wraps up pretty quickly, with surprising ease, but we do get some fun time with Graham and his wife. Overall, this is a fun and spicy read!
Simple, hot and exciting 4.5 Sometimes the simplicity of a story is sufficient between the excellent characters and the quality of the dialogues or the transcription of the feelings. It was the impression I had with this story. The story is simple and with few twists and turns, and yet, once started, it was impossible put the book down : The heroine, Chloé, is young, but not so innocent, and the hero, Damon, is older, but he is not in absolute domination, he has doubts, despite his experience or because of his experience. In short it is an excellent romance without melodrama but exciting and very hot, with great characters. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
This book is part of the Cocky Club series. I am picking my way through this series and I enjoy coming across new authors, however, Alexia Chase is not new for me. I have read quite of few of Alexia's stories and I love the insta-love connection her characters experience. Of course, just because a connection is made does not mean that it is an immediate HEA. This is Chloe and Damon's story and holy smokes it contains a lot! Chloe and Damon are at Lake Tahoe for very different reasons and are strangers when they meet. The weekend they share is built on many layers of lies and come Sunday morning a phone call blows it all apart. This book is about how Chloe and Damon attempt to move forward past their weekend at Lake Tahoe but find themselves back in each other's space, secrets are exposed, challenges are introduced but Chloe and Damon seem in this relationship business for the long haul. Question is, will it all fall into place? I really enjoyed reading this story and getting to know Chloe and Damon. They hit some realistic challenges which make the story relatable and a great read. Enjoy! I received an ARC of this book and I voluntarily read it and am leaving my honest review.
This is an age gap read (@15years) that I found to be absolutely delightful. I laughed and smiled throughout the book, even during the rough patches. The book is well written with characters you can’t help but love.
Damon is a divorced single Dad who has raised two kids on his own. He’s also built a successful business from the ground up in order to provide for his son and daughter. He’s a great dad always putting his kids first. He meets a young woman, Delilah/Chloe, while at his daughter's wedding in Tahoe. While trying to escape his ex’s advances, Chloe steps in as his pretend girlfriend. Chloe is the “good girl”. Always doing what’s right and what her father tells her. But when she catches her boyfriend cheating she sneaks out of state to Tahoe to regroup. Little does she know it will turn out to be the wildest weekend of her dreams.
What starts out as a rouse turns out to be anything but. Their wild weekend ends in disaster with more lies being told all around. Even though they leave Tahoe heading to opposite sides of the country, neither can forget their time together. When a second chance meeting happens the story takes off and I do mean takes off. It’s funny, sexy, romantic and full of sassy, crazy moments. I simply loved it.
This is a brilliant book! It’s an older man younger woman but I would easily fall for Damon myself ;-) Chloe has escaped to Tahoe for a weekend away after finding her botfriend cheating on her. Her friend has booked the hotel in her name, so Chloe is ‘Dalilah’ for the weekend. When she first sees Damon in the lobby, she is blown away by his good looks and vice versa. Damon’s staying at the same hotel for his daughters wedding. His ex-wife is there and they do not get on. She abandoned him years earlier leaving him to raise a toddler and a newborn on his own. When his ex tries to cosy up to him he ends up panicking and telling his family he has a girlfriend and uses ‘Dalilah’s’ name. When Damon and ‘Dalilah’ meet at the bar later that night, they hit it off straight away. But when his ex follows him into the bar and Dalilah is introducing herself, Damon realises that he is going to have to ask if she will play along for the weekend. It ends up being a weekend to remember and the start of a lot of complications. The story is well written and entertaining throughout. The characters are interesting and when lines get blurred you are rooting for them to get their act together. Absolutely loved it!
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Alexia Chase is another new to me author and I am discovering a lot of great ones while reading the Cocky Hero Club Books. Each one I read I think is a little better than the last! This book loosely follows Stuck-Up Suit, which was the romance of Chloe's father and stepmother. In no way do you have to read it before this, it only gives more back story of the characters if you decide you like these books.
Chloe Morgan needs to get out of town after catching her boyfriend of two years with her cousin. Her best friend, Dalilah, sets her up at a resort in Tahoe under her name for Spring Break weekend, and she literally runs right into Damon Macklin, an older, very hot specimen of virility. He is here for his daughter's wedding. He makes her toes curl and her heart forget to beat, something her cheating ex never did. Well, due to Damon's daughter trying to fix him up back up with his ex and his own big mouth, Chloe (as Dalilah) ends up posing as Damon's fake girlfriend. Their instant connection blazes from a spark to a bonfire and they have a night of unbridled passion but part the next day with hurt feelings and Damon not knowing Chloe's real name.
From here on, you better buckle your seatbelt and get ready for a wild ride! When Chloe comes face to face with Damon in her father's NY office and finds out he is her father's new partner, I knew the train was off the tracks. The twists and turns and free falls from here before we were finally back on course left me flipping pages and my nose deep in this book before I could take a breath and look up. Their banter was so witty, their chemistry so sizzling, and her father and step mom were just so great. I loved Damon's children and all he had gone thru raising them alone. They were such cool people. The HEA was all I could have asked for and the epilogue was perfect!
This is another CHC Book that just keeps setting the bar higher and higher! Bravo to Alexia and I am so excited to read more from her!
Oh, my Chloe and Damon! Silver Fox! Age Gap! Instant Connection. Reckless Suit hit all the boxes for me! Chloe is dealt a blow when she catches her boyfriend in a very compromising position with her cousin. Chloe lives in the same building as both so in a desperate move she decides to skip town with the help of her best friend Delilah. Delilah sends Chloe to Lake Tahoe resort. There she literally runs smack dap into Damon. A very large and sexy older man Damon.
Damon is in Lake Tahoe for his daughter’s wedding. Doing everything he can to avoid the sticky yucky hands of his ex-wife. Damon in his late 30’s is just starting to live his best life. His kids 20 and 18, who raised on his own. His daughter 20 is marrying the man of her dreams, his son is in college and doing his own thing. Damon has just partnered in a successful finance business with an associate he has known for years. To put his wife and daughter off he makes up a girlfriend using the name of the woman he met in the lobby a few hours before. She is young, beautiful, and hitting all the right buttons for Damon to be attracted. This book is the perfect blend of story and steam. I loved every second of it. I do not what to give to much a way because you need to experience every second of this story! I love an age and a Silver Fox always will always pique my interest. Alexia Chase is a new to me author. But her writing was solid, and her story was perfect. I am a huge fan of the Stuck-Up Suit. It is my most favorite of the original Cocky Heroes. Given the chance to read Graham and Soraya’s daughter Chloe’s story I was all in. This is a 5/5 read for me. It is pretty close to my favorite of the Cocky Hero Club.
I think this book is a few of age-gap, fake relationship and office romances that I enjoy reading it and it is all-in-one. Usually I don't like reading an age-gap romances especially older men and young-adult women because a lot of them come with "Daddy" issue and I feel uncomfortable BUT this book is not like that AT ALL. Damon deserves his second chance in love and Chloe is good for him. Their chemistry is also off the charts. I also love how mature Chloe is even if her mentality is a bit less mature but I can understand that and think it is funny some how. And Damon's mentality is not different, really LOL, normally I would have think they talk to themselves too much but I have to give a lot of credits in this book to the author because she can write something that I usually feel boring and makes me enjoy reading them.
After being betrayed by those she thought she could trust a weekend in Lake Tahoe arranged by her best friend is just what Chloe needs to distance herself from the situation. With her belief in love and relationships taking a hit she was expecting a chance meeting with a sexy older stranger to change her life.
Damon is in Lake Tahoe to attend his daughter’s wedding but getting set up with his ex is not part of his plan. In order not to hurt anyone’s feelings he pretends that he and Chloe are together they are about to find out that even though their relationship may be pretend the feelings they have for each other aren’t.
After that weekend they never expect to see each other again but when they find their lives are connected in a way that neither could imagine things are about to become very interesting. Hot chemistry, humorous banter and two people who may appear to be an unlikely match but turn out to be each other’s destiny.
RECKLESS SUIT was everything I love in a romance. It had the firey romance I crave, there was the age gap I love, and these characters that became real to me in such a short time. There was nothing I did not like about this story. Well, I could have done without the overbearing father to Chloe. But even still, his overbearingness helped the story along and be what it was. And it was everything.
I am relatively new to this whole world Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward have started, only reading 2 books so far. But I am rectifying that as soon as possible. And while he was still overbearing, I loved Graham and his woman. I need to find out if they have a story that is a part of this world. In fact, several characters had lives I would love to read more about.
I loved the chemistry between Damon and Chloe that was instantaneous and full of fire. They are an age gap romance dream team. I never grew tired of them and flew through their story. I. Loved. This. Book!! Thank you, Chase for giving us readers a fabulous read. 5 Stars!
This was an insta-attraction, insta-lust, age gap contemporary romance filled with ups, downs, twists, turns and all other kinds of steamy, dirty talking shenanigans and I loved it.
Main protagonists Chloe and Damon were so hot together, their chemistry and connection was off the charts, I swear I was melting as I read this story. Basically they meet, bump uglies, start falling for one another, however when Damon discovers that the woman he was falling for hasn’t been honest with him he walks away, thinking that he’ll never see her again but it turns out she’s actually his new business partners daughter and that’s when the fun really begins.
Buckle up and enjoy the ride in this fantastic addition to the Cocky Hero series.
4.5 stars Who is Alexia Chase? Truth is I don't care but I do need to start paying attention. Reckless Suit is an absolute dream. This homage to Stuck Up Suit is (dare I say it...) right up there with the original!?! Who knew!?! Graham and Soraya are just as loveable here as they were in Stuck Up but it gets better because "Dalilah" and Damon are the cake at this party. Delicious, decadent, and oh so bad while being oh so good for you! Sexy, steamy, and sweet are all easily tossed around when describing Reckless Suit. This age gap romance is strong on the instant connection and it is entirely believable. The chemistry, heat, and hormones are just the chocolate gnash on this tasy cake. Alexia Chase has given the hopeless romantic in us all a very happily ever after with a cherry on top!
If you want to read a story with meat and angst, then you have certainly chosen a great book to read. Alexia Chase has done it again in bringing a well rounded romance full of heat and passion. You can’t help but fall in love with the characters in this fabulous story. You won’t be disappointed in reading Reckless Suit.
Damon is organising his daughter’s wedding when he meets Chloe at the registration desk. Chloe has broken up with her boyfriend and is in Tahoe to escape him. Damon and Chloe hook up and have a one night stand, then later find out that he is Chloe’s fathers new business partner. Their romance is combustible and they face hurdles and finally settle down to live a happily ever after.
I was given an advanced copy of this book to read and review with my honest and fair opinion.
I couldn’t wait to get my greedy little book loving hands on this book! For one, Reckless Suit is part of the Cocky Hero Club World! For two, it’s Chloe Morgan - the daughter of THE Stuck-Up Suit, and For three, she falls for her father’s business partner - a sexy, single daddy (with a daughter her age). Hello could this book BE any better?! Well yes, yes it can because Alexia Chase gives us a book with all the feels! It is a sexy, wit-filled, melt your kindle kind of read and I absolutely loved it! From the moment Chloe meets her Reckless Suit, to the moment they give in to their off the charts chemistry, I was in Cocky Hero Club heaven. Added Bonus - I couldn’t get enough of Graham and Soraya and loved getting to know a grownup Lorenzo. This book was just what I needed - a spicy forbidden romance that I couldn’t put down. TBR and Enjoy!
This book was absolutely fantastic. It was about Chloe and Damon. Chloe is a college student set to graduate soon and needed a weekend away from her cheating boyfriend, so her friend booked her a weekend away in Tahoe. Damon is a business owner away in Tahoe for his daughters wedding.
This book was an addictive read. I literally stayed up all night reading it as I couldn’t put it down. I enjoyed the plot twists and the chemistry between the characters. Some of the storyline was predictable, but I still enjoyed reading about how it happened.
It was very hot and steamy, with lots of panty melting scenes. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. I loved it.
I received a free ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Reckless In A Suit by Alexia Chase is one of the best books I have read in quite some time! Damon and Chloe are the perfect pair especially with their humorous self-talk. This novel has an older man/younger woman theme but the plot is unique, refreshing, and heartwarming. I highly recommend this ten star read by Alexia Chase who has written a phenomenal romance!
I received a free arc in return for an honest and voluntary read.
