On paper I have it all. Wealth, security, and a collection of vehicles that spark envy, even amongst LA’s rich and famous. Money is all I ever wanted, but now that I have it in spades, I’m restless.
For the first time in my life, I want things cash can’t procure. I want a real relationship. Beauty and brains. A salacious little minx who isn’t afraid to call me out. My equal, in and out of the bedroom.
The problem is I have no clue where to find a woman like that.
Imagine my luck when I come upon a curvy, gorgeous maiden in distress, stranded on the side of I-10 like a mirage fashioned from my deepest desires. It’s fate. Kismet.
Only she isn’t impressed. Not by my money, my power, or my ability to make all her dreams come true. Hell, she won’t even accept my ride without an argument. But I’m not giving up. She doesn’t know who she’s dealing with, and I’m not afraid to play dirty.

The writing and humor in this novel is so different from the books I usually read. Jude tried really hard to be an alpha hero but really he came off as a sensitive beta, which isn't a bad thing but I wish he wasn't trying so hard. I liked Rachael for the most part, but she was annoying at times as she continually jumped to conclusions. The story was cute and sweet, but took too long to fully gain traction and take off.

Dirty Dealer was a pretty interesting read. In it you will meet Jude and Rachel. He's the alpha protective type and she's just trying to make it out in the real world. They were kind of cute sometimes.. but the "roommates" that Rachel used to live with were the absolute worse. Oh lord, I despised them.
I did, however, really enjoy seeing Jude and Rachel get to one another a lot more. There was just something about them that just pulled me in. It didn't hurt that they were really cute and they had crazy chemistry either.
Definitely excited for my next book within this series.
Dirty Dealer is a well-written story within the Cocky Hero Club world. And what a great addition to this world it is!
Rachel moves to LA from Chicago. She left because she had to. She has to prove something to herself. To show that she can be strong and independent and doesn’t need to rely on anyone else to survive. Especially that cheating POS boyfriend she left behind.
Getting stranded on a super busy freeway because of her hunk of junk car breaking down, she is rescued by Jude, Mr. Dirty Dealer himself. He just couldn’t help himself. One look at the gorgeous damsel in distress and he knew he had to pull over.
Jude is arrogant and alpha and bossy, so it’s no surprise Rachel wasn’t too keen on accepting his assistance. She actually turns him down to call an Uber.
But... not only is he confident and painfully good-looking, he’s just a big softie on the inside with a big heart. His sudden urge to help her, spend more time with her, and care for her makes him do and say what’s necessary to get her in his car. He’s quite irresistible, so she finally succumbs to his charm.
I loved, loved, loved their witty banter and Rachel’s take-no-shit attitude. Their connection was strong and I enjoyed watching her try so hard to decline his offers of help.
Well, I’d take all of his help. He can be my dirty dealer any day.
This story was very entertaining and gave me plenty of feels. It made me laugh, it squeezed my heart, and left a smile on my face.
Not only did this story have likable characters, it also had adorable animals that sometimes stole the show. Walter the rescue Chihuahua and Pixie the goat. So cute!!
And, I have to add, we get to see Chance and Aubrey, so that’s always fun!
I would’ve loved to see some sort of revenge happen to the catty, bitchy roommates who treated Rachel like shit. Okay, maybe not revenge, but more like karma. The author did an excellent job of making me want to throat punch them. LOL
An epilogue would’ve been wonderful, but it didn’t take away from how much I enjoyed this story. Because Rachel's make-up tutorial was PERFECT. <3
If you’re reading and loving all the books in the Cocky Hero Club world, I highly recommend this one, too!
You guys! This was crazy good!! And i don’t even think anyone kissed till like 80%
I was lost in the magic of the story-line from the beginning! I was so engaged in this story that before I knew it it was over and I almost cried. These two were fantastic! And not just them, but all the supporting characters as well! Such a well crafted story! The journey in this book is so darn captivating you don't really notice that there are no sexual escapades until it is almost over (or close to)! I keep saying this because I think it's the best facet of this story to convey how great it is. We all expect there to be some sort of sexual connection between the leads at somewhere between 35% and 45% of the book. Okay, so maybe just me. But it didn't happen in this book and I did NOT notice! That's how great the actual story IS!
Okay, so I started out not liking Jude all that much; I found him to be quite arrogant and that was a slight turn off…BUT….as the story went on and he began to grow as a person, I fell in love with him. His and Rachel’s story was sweet, steamy and really funny at times. I’m intrigued by some of the side characters in this story, so will definitely be picking up more of Kacey Sheas books so that I can find out more about them.
Jude has created quite the reputation for himself by catering to the eccentric requests of his rich and powerful clients. He has the wealth, he has the lifestyle so the only thing he wants is a woman to share it with but he didn’t expect to find her stranded on the side of the road next to her broken down car.
Rae is a makeup artist who has recently moved to California. Due to her past she has learnt the only one she can depend on is herself, but she needs to get to work on time even if it means accepting a ride from a sexy stranger.
She never expected to see him again, but Jude wasn’t about to just let her walk out of his life. He is more than willing to be her chauffeur as it will give him the opportunity to show her that their different lifestyles don’t matter as long as they have each other.
So in theory this is a billionaire and a famous person romance, but it didn't read that way at all.
She's a struggling makeup artist in Hollywood. (Cool.)
He's an errand-boy for the rich and famous, which apparently makes him rich and famous by proxy. (Okay.)
And her car breaks down, and then he decides he's going to force his way into her life and be her taxi service. When her roommates are mean, he offers to let her live with him, and she accepts. He wants to progress their relationship (though he's never been in a meaningful relationship before), and she's hesitant because she's been burned by a cheating ex.
This story pulled me in from the first page. Jude may be an alpha type guy but inside he's a teddy bear. I like that Rachel didn't just fall at his feet as he's used to that but she took her time getting to know him. The story is funny, cute but still has the steam I like to read in stories. Kacey Shea is a new author for me and I really enjoyed this story!!
Dirty Dealer was another wonderful addition to the Cocky Hero Club series, and it hooked me right away. In fact, once I started this one, I had to devour it in a single sitting.
I quickly fell in love with the characters and adored their chemistry. The more I read, the deeper their story hooked me on so many levels. With plenty to keep me hooked – not to mention the number of times it had me giggling and smiling – this one ensured I could not put the book down.
Without a doubt, this is a must read in the Cocky Hero Club.
Ok, I loved this story. I read it first but knowing that Teddy Hamilton was narrating, I had to listen. And he does an Australian accent to play Chance! Sigh...he was amazing as expected. Felicity Munroe was great too. So overall, the audiobook elevated the story.
In regards to the book, what a fun book and a wonderful addition to the Club! This book follows Jude, a dealer of basically anything the heart desires, and Rachel, a struggling make-up artist. Jude rescues Rachel from the side of the road and he is such a sweetheart. Loving and kind but respectful and still alpha, he's a well-written character. Rachel too- she a great, strong character who may be down on her luck but definitely not out. I liked both these characters and their banter was funny while their relationship growth felt real. I also loved that we got to see the other people from the from the first group of books- in this case, Chance and Aubrey (And their goat Pix!) but also, as a fan of Kacey Shea's, I loved visits from the 3 Ugly Guys (a rock group) as well as Cora, the movie star. It's just great how they were tied in to the broader story.
Dirty Dealer is sweet, steamy and funny! Rachel is unlucky enough to have her car break down in LA traffic where Jude stops to help after seeing her driving by. For Jude it is instalust but Rachel is more reserved. Jude wants to be her knight in shining armor while past relationships have ruined that image for Rachel. Jude tries to put his desires secondary to building a friendship with her and helps her out in several scenarios. Jude is funny and interesting while Rachel is understandably hesitant to jump back into love. I loved their banter and Jude's thoughts and I empathized with Rachel throughout the book. Sometimes things just fall apart all at once. I really enjoyed this book and am even more interested in reading this author now!
Shea writes the best heroines. Funny, feisty and fiercely independent. That tends to make love more than little complicated, but beyond intriguing. Rachel and Jude are a spirited duo. She pushes his buttons. He tempts her far too much. Somehow they manage to be a temptation that proves to be addictive fun.
Jude sometimes needs to be kept in focus, “Jude?” Her brows lift, and a playful smile tugs on her lips. “You still with me? Or do I need to put my clothes back on?” Her teasing words bring a smile to my mouth." I liked this book, I liked Jude
This book was very odd to me, I felt like at certain parts of this story felt like I was reading 2 different books. All the inner monologues were a tad insufferable. Jude was a wanna be alpha but at the same time he basically cried for the last 10% of the book and also cried more than the heroine. Don’t get me wrong, men are allowed to have feelings, but I just think the author was afraid to commit to the character. Then you have... honestly I don’t remember her name.. okay I looked, her name is Rachel. Anyways, Rachel has the whole “IM AN INDEPENDENT WOMEN AND DONT NEED A MAN TO TAKE CARE OF ME..” so that was fun. She was stubborn to a fault and though, Jude opened up a lot to her she didn’t really ever tell him anything about her past. I expected more from the synopsis but it just didn’t deliver, it was also just a tad too long a lot could’ve been cut from it. This wasn’t a bad book, it was just kind of boring and could’ve used another edit in my opinion.
Audio Review - Dirty Dealer was another fantastic story in Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward’s Cocky Hero World. Jude was perfect. He is the swoony and sweet with a touch of alpha. He was a bit of a playboy before but you can tell he was just waiting fit the right woman to tame him. Rachel is an ambitious, spunky girl who has been working her butt off to make something of herself. She is a makeup artist and has just landed her dream job! This one has a tons of laughs and witty banter that I just loved. These two danced around each other like crazy. I kept waiting and waiting for something to happen! Talk about SLOW BURN!! This was over 9 hours listening and I don’t think anything happened until 3 hours left but the sexual tension was off the charts. Teddy Hamilton and Felicity Munroe did a fabulous job narrating. Their animated voices brought these characters alive.
Jude Lawrence is living the high life. He is the dealer who will go the extra mile to please the rich and elite of LA. However there is one thing missing from his life. Until fate or kismet as he likes to say brings his world to his feet.
In the form of Rae who stuck on the middle of LA traffic with her beat up car .
Rae is form of sunshine. She on the wrong of her twenties but it isn't stopping her. She thrown her comfortable life away to chase her dreams. She gotten rid of the baggage and hopes this is the life However she doesn't bargain for the Dirty Dealer.
Jude isn't bad. He does't know what to do . He caught up in making up to himself what he missed out and that means taking no prisoners. He gets his way and rubs obviously our heroine the wrong way. However there something there that Rae can't help wanting to know. As why would he drive her around town.
He is a charmer all right and this man isn't doing it for anything right?
Jude Lawrence tries to be something he isn't. He has strong personality that is very evident but it's tone back as we unfold the layers of this man. You can see how he cares for those who he truly cares about and that quickly includes Rae. He doesn't shove his opinions on her. He just makes her do it and that where things are seen eye to eye and causes a few problems. She isn't into the lifestyle he has . She just wants someone to truly to care for her and accept her dreams. Opposites but there something about these two you want to see happen.
Shea didn't just write a romance. She wrote a story that took in consideration the high and lows of the the industry they both in. It's a slow romance that takes into consideration their problems. But it made the moment even more sweeter when it all fell into place and they finally got it just right.
Jude was the perfect blend of alpha and good guy. Swooping in to save the day and deciding to also try to swoop Rachel off her feet. He knows the perfect girl when he spits her!
It’s packed with witty banter, fantastic chemistry and I was smiling the whole way through. Definitely recommend.
Yasssss girl! Kacey Shea once again brings it with her contribution to the Cocky Hero Club!
I love love love fun and flirty banter and DIRTY DEALER’s Jude and Rachel had it in spades! It just makes everything so much more fun and I was so proud of my gurl Rachel being able to give it as good as she got!
If all that doesn’t sell you then let me just tell you there’s also a super cute chihuahua and goat. Yup! Why? Pick this baby up and find out. You won’t be disappointed!
Dirty Dealer is a great addition to the Cocky Hero Club.
Jude has everything he has ever wanted apart from someone to share his life with. When Jude stops to help Rachel when her car breaks down he is smitten with her. She’s not impressed by his arrogant and bossy self. He will do whatever he has to to win her over.
This is a super good read. Read it in one sitting as I couldn’t put it down.
This is a fun, sweet, and sexy one. This one is full of quick wit and amazing banter, and swoon worthy chemistry that will keep your attention. I love the relationship Jude and Rachel are developing, they had the chemistry but they didn't act on it instantly. Instead they develop their friendship and work into a relationship.
This was an unexpected slow burn that had me staying up till the early hours each night to read it. It had me smiling so hard that I thought my face would break in the beginning and then hit me in the chest with the emotions. What a completely, delightful read! You don't want to miss it.
I loved Rachel and Jake’s story! It was different for me in that I don’t often read a romance book where it’s not until so close to the end that some action happens haha! But it worked so, so well for this story. The way things flowered with them going to strangers, to friends, to maybe something more was perfection. Check it out!
OMFG!! HEARTWRENCHING AWESOMENESS!!! DIRTY DEALER by Kacey Shea BLEW ME AWAY!! Jude and Rachel's Storytelling was Captivating and Passionately Entertaining!! Right from the Very Beginning, I was intrigued and Sucked into Their World! I laughed, cried, got pissed off & wanting to throw my tablet across the Room! But most of all, my heart swelled up then Blew Up into a million pieces!! Then was infused together by Jude and Rachel's friendship grew into a Beautiful Surprise I Did NOT See Coming!! DEFINITELY a MUST Read BOOK!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I laughed and I laughed and I laughed! But I also got mad a few times! I loved the main characters, Jude and Rachel! Neat personalities with interesting backgrounds. Enjoyed some other characters too, that gave so much depth to the relationships and the story line. And if you are a frequent reader of Books by Kacey Shea, you'll find an Easter Egg! Loved that nugget! This book was just so much fun to read and laugh and snort and groan and with it's "oh what can possibly happen now?" moments! This may be my new favorite by Author Kacey Shea!
Whether you're a Kacey Shea virgin or a Cocky Hero Club veteran, Dirty Dealer has something for everyone. The perfect blend of both fictional worlds, Kacey Shea's newest feel-good romance delivers an enticing amount of wit, flirty banter, and undeniable chemistry.
Bringing together a cocky billionaire, and the woman who'll turn his whole world upside down; Jude and Rachel and their quest for a happily ever after, are the perfect addition to Shea's list of memorable romances.
I absolutely love how the characters in this book are real to life. How theres questions, concerns, hopes, dreams, laughs and tears on both sides. I could not put this down (except long enough to to my real life job😂). I adore Jude and Rachel and I can’t wait to read more of this series!!! A must read!!!!!!
Fantastic Story & Narration🎧📚🎧 Captivating & Swoon-Worthy🔥
Dirty Dealer A Hero Club Novel By: Kacey Shea, Hero Club Narrated by: Teddy Hamilton, Felicity Munroe
This book is awesome! I loved everything about it, from Kacey Shea’s fabulous writing style to the characters and story she created to the perfectly casted narrators who brought it all to life. The story grabbed my attention right from the start and held it captive straight to the end. The characters are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with. I adored the two leads, Jude and Rachel, Jude is the perfect hero, a bit cocky at first but he has a good heart underneath that cockiness and it shows as he goes above and beyond to win Rachel over. Rachel a makeup artist and L.A transplant, she is working small gigs to make ends meet, hoping for to land a better job working in a Hollywood studio, a makeup artist to the stars. She shares a small apartment with three roommates, a couple of them are mean girls. Heading to a job in Hollywood her old Buick, which she named the Iron Maiden breaks down on the freeway. Jude happened to be stuck in traffic on that freeway and when he sees her standing on the side of the road he is completely taken by her. He had to stop to help her, Rachel is hesitant at first but does accept his help and a ride to the work. Rachel is not like any of the women he met before, she does not fall for his charm, his looks or his money and he likes that about her. He is determined to get her to like him and comes up with a plan to keep her close. I just love how everything plays out in this book, the story is cleverly plotted and there is never a dull moment. There is plenty of drama, some humor, a touch of angst, lot of heartfelt emotions and an awesome slow burn romance. There are some great secondary characters in this book as well, including Walter, loved the mention of Three Ugly Guys and Trent Donovan’s cameo appearance. Kacey Shea, thank you for another awesome book, it is impressively entertaining and enjoyable and I loved every moment of it. Final comment, Hey Jude! Yep, I had to say it.
I listened to the Audible edition, Teddy Hamilton and Felicity Munroe are talented narrators and versatile voice artists. They bring the characters to life, giving each their own voice and personality. Their portrayal of the characters is perfection, Teddy Hamilton truly grasped Jude’s persona, he sounded just as I pictured him to sound, pulled off his cockiness with ease but allowed you to see his other side as well, his heart. Felicity Munroe’s Rachel was perfection, she too sounded as I pictured she would sound. You could hear how much heart each put into their work as they captured the characters emotions and projected them into their performance. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another fantastic listen🎧
