Our pasts were a part of us. Definitively. Irrevocably. Mine hijacked my dreams every night, drowning me in guilt and staining my hands red. It wasn’t just a part of me, it stole a piece of me—the piece that stopped me from letting people get too close. And I’d become pretty damn good at playing the untouchable asshole card just to keep them away. But apparently, Dakota Samuels didn’t get that memo. From the moment she accidentally walked in on me naked, she began to demolish any and every wall I’d ever built. She was sexy and tenacious. And I was addicted to the way she looked at me. To the way she fought for me. To the way her body felt beneath mine. We were both done with running from the demons of our pasts. They were going to find us. They were going to try and destroy us. And they may have won before, but like hell I was going to let them take her from me too. Because if they tried, this time the blood I saw in my dreams would be theirs.

I don’t really understand the setup here. I wish there was less inner-dialogue and more story being told by conversation and action. I’m not invested in these characters at all.

ETA-One of my best friends absolutely loved this. They messaged me in hysterics because they’ve just realised the next book isn’t out yet. So...YMMV.

Couldn't wait to get this story after we were given a taster in Ham and Meyah's book! And a new series to boot!

The first chapter in this book had me. 'I’d been cockstruck.' And that, my friends, was all it took. I love this author, I love her writing, her characters and her books. With this 1 line I knew that this book was for me!

Dakota and Ripley had been skating around their chemistry for a long time. And like a ticking bomb, it was about to go off! And it went OFF!

This book was like crack, couldn't put it down! This woman knows how to write MC!

"I was in complete and utter shock. I'd been cockstruck"

I was excited to learn that one of my favorite authors was starting a new MC Romance series, and once I started reading I was even more excited to find some of my favorite characters as well. Yes, I'm happy to report there are some Brothers by Blood MC members present in this story.

I suggest that you gather everything you'll need for a long while before you start reading because once you start, you won't want to stop. Your attention will be caught in the very first chapter and you'll be spellbound from that point forward. The sparks fly between the two main characters, whom the author chose not to name in the synopsis, so I won't either. But, let me just say that the saying that there is a fine line between love and hate is true in their case. They bickered like they hated each other, but nobody was fooled, except them.

They were both loaded down with baggage, their painful pasts affecting their outlook on life in a negative way. But neither unable to resist the pull they feel toward each other. So, their solution was to push each other's buttons, constantly arguing and annoying as much as possible. Yeah, you guessed it. The sexual tension is off the charts.

"Fuck, fuck, fuck. It was like she could see every goddamn secret I was trying to hide. It was as if she just fucking knew, like she could not only read my mind, but read my soul."

The author amped up my adrenaline by creating a secretive and suspenseful situation that the character shared with me, but not with everyone. So, of course, I was a worried mess as the danger increased and the possible fall out loomed too close for comfort. If it wasn't the club enemies it was the scorching sex scenes that had my pulse racing and my eyes glued to the pages. I loved all of it and I can't wait for the next installment in The Exiled Eight MC series. The line forms here...

If you're looking for an MC romance that will grab you from the beginning and take you for a great ride then this should be your next read.

Addison Jane is a new to me author, but after what I just read I'm kind of kicking myself that it took me so long to start reading her books. Not only is this book one of my favorite romance sub-genres, but she writes it so very well. This is the kind of book you think about when you can't read and pick back up every moment you can. The writing style is the kind that flows so easily. The pace is perfect to hold your interest. There's just enough of a dark edge in the plot twists and turns to keep it thrilling. The characters are the ones that get under your skin and you want to see them in future books and want every one of their friends to get their own book. And you're going to want to read all of those books because you want to revisit this world as often as possible. That is what you get when reading Irrevocable. I'm so happy that I did and I cannot wait to read everything I can get my hands on by this author.

This is the first book in a series. This was a really good book with great characters. Dakota and Ripley have tons of chemistry, and more fireworks than the fourth of July. The villain is so evil I wanted to reach through the book and knock him upside the head with a cast iron pan. This is one of the best MC books I've read in a while, too. I am very much looking forward to the next book in the series.

Oh my pounding heart! What a thrilling, twisted, tantalizingly hot, and tender tale Addison Jane weaves! IRREVOCABLE is a BANG-UP BOOK that blazes and burns everywhere. It BUZZES with excitement! So INTENSE and INTOXICATING. Irrevocable was my DRUG and I could not take enough hits of this HEADY HIGH. My heart raced the whole time reading. I was UTTERLY ADDICTED!!! I was OBSESSED with this romance! I LOVED IT!

Irrevocable is the story of a handsome and hardened anti-hero of an MC biker and a beautiful and bold woman—forged together from unforgettable pasts—who embark on a heart-hitting adventure to slay demons from both the past and present. Rip is a ruggedly handsome and deliciously dirty, a bad-to-the-bone hero with a hidden heart, one who stole my heart. Paired with beautiful and bold heroine, Dakota, their romance dances in dark and dangerous territory, making their bond even more passionate and powerful.

”I see you, kitty cat, with your angry stare. Now let’s see if we can make you purr.”

A spine-tingling, soul-searing, sensual and suspenseful roller coaster, Irrevocable will have you glued to the edge of your seat. ENTICING and EXPLOSIVE with a pulse and heart beat of its own, this romance ENTHRALLS and EXCITES from beginning to end. It’s the perfect fusion of sexual tension and thrills. It’s a story of strength and salvation. A romance that is so raw that it felt real, Irrevocable is one MC adventure I won’t forget.

”You know my demons, so why don’t you show me yours?”

So many ridiculous things that I did not get, or like, in this book!

I did not get Dakota's bitchy thing. It's overused and annoying as hell. She can't control her attraction to Ripley, so she's a bitch? Ridiculous!

I did not get why Dakota kept it a secret from her cop brother that she had met dickhead Caleb before, and that he was threatening her. WTF!? It's better to let him fangirl on this asshole and think he's a good guy? Ridiculous!

When it got to the point of Dakota having to beg Caleb to protect Ripley from an assault charge, then making a deal to spy and snitch on the club, to set them up and betray them...ridiculous! That, coupled with how it just droned on and on, how every conversation included paragraphs (sometimes pages) of droning between actual dialogue, so I would find myself skimming and skipping large chunks... I just wanted to give up.

At around the 80% mark, the storyline had become so ludicrous, so nonsensical. - Dakota being physically assaulted multiple times by Caleb and his thug cop buddies, and nobody noticing her injuries; her setting up the club, but then taking the blame herself and refusing a lawyer; getting beat up by Caleb in an interrogation room in the police station her brother works in; the big reveal that it was all a ruse to garner a confession from Caleb, but rescue being too far away to actually rescue her! Ridiculous!!!

I feel like I'm missing something despite this book being the first in the series, like maybe this series was spun off another. I need to do a little investigating, because it seems like a lot of the characters have a pretty extensive background already.

I wasn't sure about this one as it started out. Ripley and Dakota didn't seem like they would be good for each other. The start of things was more when a little boy is interested in a girl and he bugs the hell out of her and she does it right back. As things went on, you could see how these 2 worked and the lengths that Dakota would go to to protect Ripley and the club.

I was a bit worried towards the end when the bust went down, but then something I had hoped Dakota would do, did happen, just off the page.

I liked how this one ended, nice to see everyone happy.

This was a decent read.

I liked the MC story but I must admit I was close to DNF this book not because it was bad but I wasn't in the mood for the twist and her doing something bad etc. Just wasn't there for that but I pushed through it and it wasn't too bad.

Enjoyed this romance and looking forward to the next.

This was my first Addison Jane read and I loved it.

Dakota is no wilting violet. Ripley is no gentleman. These two love to push each others buttons. The electricity bouncing between them can be felt by everyone, but they choose to ignore it....until they can't. Both of these characters are built of broken pieces, but their pieces fit together. When danger surrounds her friends and family, will Dakota make the ultimate sacrifice? Will Ripley realize what is right in front of him before it is too late?

There were twists and turns left and right and keep me turning the pages as fast as I could read. Can't wait for the next in the series.

Irrevocable by Addison Jane is the first book in The Exiled Eight MC Series. This is the story of Dakota and Ripley.
Dakota and Ripley have a love / hate relationship it would seem. Dakota being Ripley's sister best friend have always been back and forth with snide comments. But their sexual tension is starting to take over making it impossible for them to ignore their growing feelings. But past and present issue start to come forward making them start to work through their feelings.
Exciting read and a great start to a great series.

It was good, kept me hooked. But there were some parts that the flow wasn't there. I don't know if it was due to me zoning out for a hot second or if it just jumped way ahead and it didn't fit...

Overall though a good MC romance.

I am surprised that there aren't any more books in this series yet to be honest.. or if there are and I'm blind, let me know haha

Let's just give Addison Jane a round of applause for the way she holds her female characters high despite them living in a 'mans world'. I am all about that life.

A sorta forbidden frenemies romance with all the bells and whistles. This author just has a way of drawing you in from day dot. This story is definitely no different and kicks off quite literally with a bang! Not the kind your thinking though you perv! ;).

He looked dangerous. Like someone I should stay the hell away from. I should have followed those instincts. "You just going to stand there? Or you gonna get on your knees?" That was the slap in the face I needed. I almost choked on my own saliva. "Excuse me, Sir jerks-a-lot?"

Yes, it's an opening you really won't forget.

"I... um..." I stumbled, something I didn't often do. I always had a witty comeback, some kind of off-the-cuff remark in awkward situations, but this one... I was just in complete and utter shock.
I'd been cockstruck.

I was crying In laughter.

It took me a minute to recollect whom the hero was. But quickly it came back to me and boy was I excited to see where this went.

Dakota is a fright train coming at you and my favourite kind of heroine. Strong, resilient, sassy, fierce she quite literally is a force of nature. I admired her fire and refusal to back down even in the worst of circumstances.

Our hero is a top dickhead. He's that hero you love to hate with a chip on his shoulder and a Fuck You attitude that surrounds him like a shield. I expected that brash outward spoken quickly fuelled temper and lack of fucks given from him. I did not expect the broken past that continuously haunted him. I didn't expect the sweet and soft under that facade he throws up to hide the hurt. He had me all kinds of messed up and lord am I a sucker for a broken hero.

The chemistry!!!! That shit was there from the start and just kept adding fuel to the fire until it was no longer containable and quite literally erupted in their face's. The anticipation was just unbearable! Tantalisingly teasing because you just knew it was coming but you weren't sure when. The build up was freaking real. The connection is instantaneous between them! You could literally feel it through the pages. It's not a sweet hearts and roses gentle lovings kind of romance. It's raw, suspenseful, climactic, heartbreaking, funny, sexy and on a few rare moments gentle. It's not the perfect love story but it's them. The characters are as usual outstanding!. They draw you in making you believe their story connect to the journey and relate to their struggles. You don't forget them ever because they all have something to give. For better or worse they have eachothers backs without judgement despite their past, present or future. They all have depth and continuously grow throughout making you feel like you've known them a lifetime, like it's not a book or fiction but a real person(s).

So much goodness rolled into one story I can't even. It's a rollercoaster but so worth the journey. You know a books worth and a writers talent when you can see the story in your mind, feel the emotion like it's all real and by the end be ready to read it all over again.

What did I just read, I'll tell you what - an absolutely brilliant MC book and the first I have read by this author. The writing and storyline were perfect, the book was full of danger, heartbreak, guilt, love and loyalty with more twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat all the way through from the start until the very end. In my opinion, this is just what an MC book should be like.

Ripley and Dakota are the two main characters in this book. Always pushing each other's buttons and backbiting at each other trying to deny that the chemistry that ignites between them every time they are in the same room doesn't exist when of course it does. Ripley is in the Exiled Eight MC and Dakota is his sisters best friend, both are fighting demons from a past that still continues to haunt them especially Ripley.

I adored the characters in this book they were written so well that the connection for me was instant, I felt their pain of the past that was still affecting their lives at present. I was especially drawn to Ripley who was a bit of an enigma at first but peeling back his layers you get to see the soft belly of this gorgeous biker and of course Dakota kept him on his toes, this little lady had some balls and a sassy smart mouth to boot which I really enjoyed too.

Add a bent cop, loyalty at the drop of a hat and some excellent secondary characters and the book was really just awesome in all ways. I cannot wait for book two in this new series by this talented author !!!

This. This is what I long for when I reach for a new MC read. Addison Jane brings everything I love about a bada*$ biker to life in Irrevocable. No sugary sweet or watered down biker here with Ripley. Nope. A rough, gritty, @**hole, that you some how can’t help but love. Don’t let that fool you into thinking there’s no heart here, because there is. There’s so much heart in this book and the raw and real way it’s brought to life makes it that much more beautiful to experience.
Ripley and Dakota are definitely enemies to lovers here. These two fling wicked (and occasionally hilarious) one liners back and forth like it’s a sport. All of the back and forth between them only serves to up the heat of the sparks that are flying everywhere when they’re together. These two have the kind of chemistry that you can really feel coming off the pages as you read. With so many walls around Ripley’s heart and Dakota’s fierce and sassy personality it was an explosive combination with the attraction these two felt.
With things heating up around the club they’re equally heating up between the two of them. I adored Dakota. She’s exactly the kind of woman a man like Ripley needs. She doesn’t take anything from anyone and is flat out fearless and steadfastly loyal. Between her strength and his these two will be an unstoppable force. Full of hot and sexy romance with the perfect amount of raw real feelings, nail biting suspense, and action that has you gasping Irrevocable had me flying through the pages.

Great Start!

With Irrevocable, Addison Jane gives The Exiled Eight MC series a great start. Not only are we involved with Dakota and Ripley, but all of the other brothers and Old Ladies, which I absolutely love. A series becomes more interesting when all of the characters are introduced right away and we focus on a few per book.

This first book showcases Ripley and Dakota, or Fire and Ice, Oil and Vinegar, you get the drift, these two don't immediately get along. Actually, they've known each other for years though the MC, however never got past the verbal jabs. This time around, things are different.

I liked Ripley, as well as Dakota right off the bat as individuals, however it took me a few chapters to appreciate them as anything more. They lacked chemistry and I'm sure the tit for tat they had going on constantly didn't help. Not until all emotional guards were down, did I enjoy them.

Irrevocable reads as most MC series books, little fighting, little jealousy and of course, the big twist. Addison James kept the angst high in her book with Dakota and the situations surrounding her. She also didn't make Dakota a "dumb girl" that needed rescuing, which was refreshing. This girl took things into her own hands no matter what the cost.

The book is well written and like I said, we meet the whole MC and then some. I'm sure this isn't the last we hear from Dakota and Ripley, however it looks like Huntsman is up next and I definitely want to read more about him.

Rcvd an ARC at no cost to author..Ripley and Dakota have a love to hate relationship or so they think, everyone around them knows that they have a deep attraction that they deal with by bickering. Dakota is Ripley's long lost sisters best friend, and when Ripley and Dakota meet it was not a great beginning for them. Ripley and Dakota have more in common that they realized and as they start spending time together they find that they are each others soul mate. Dakota is pretty loyal and you don't think that when you are reading the story you get scared that she is going to do the club wrong because she is being blackmailed by a dirty copy. I kind of wish she would have ended up with his brother to be honest with you, and who knows maybe we would get that chance..I know I know not right..sorry..These two have a difficult time with other forces trying to keep them apart and here is where Ripley disappointed me on more than one occasion. I would tell you but then I will be giving you spoilers and I am trying not to, so read it and give it a chance, the only other thing that I would have liked was Dakota holding out on him just for a little but I do get how the situation they went thru would maker her put it behind her..Can't wait til the next one...

It might be just me

But I felt like this book was 90℅ inner monologue and 10% dialogue. I got to the point where I was skimming through most of it. Also - how many times can one woman be cornered and kidnapped in one book? And the whole "I've never been in love, is this what it feels like?" angle was not very imaginative. I absolutely hated that the author made Dakota come off as nothing but horny every single time she had contact with Ripley. That was the foremost emotion. Oh he was being an asshole, but damn that made her horny. Oh he was smoking a cigarette, that apparently made her horny too.

There were also other parts that made me roll my eyes. One chapter, Ripley is talking to his dad, thinking "I hate it that he knows me so well". The very next chapter, Dakota is talking to Meyah and guess what she thinks? Yup, you guessed it, the same damn thing.

Bottom line is, I didn't receive this as an ARC, so I'll tell you the truth. It was an ok read. It was forgettable, the characters didn't quite connect for me as a couple, there were some writing inconsistencies, and there was just too much rambling with not enough character interaction. Meh, hard pass.

Beautiful read. Dakota and Rip definitely have their problems. They pretend to hate each other because the chemistry between them is about to explode. R.I.P. doesn’t think he is good enough for her but she knows that of he would just open up to her, she could ease his demons. Throw in a crazy wanna bet cop that loves blackmailing people and you’ve got on awesome read. This one is a must read for any MC fan.

This book had me hooked from the beginning. The two main characters have such wicked hot chemistry that my kindle was melting. The way they both are strong characters that their chemistry burns them down together, but what a beautiful fire!!! I loved this story and I can't wait for more from this author. Definitely one of my favorite reads this year.

Goodbye Leo, Hello Ripley! **SPOILERS**

If you don’t know who Leo is, go read the Club Girl Diaries.

Ripley is everything an alpha biker man should be and Dakota is just a perfect old Lady.

This was not a slow burn nor an insta love. They get together pretty quickly, but they have a tough road. Dakota did everything to protect those she loved. Go easy on her. She’s not the traitor you think she is.

Drake is gonna kill me if he gets his own story. I’ve got a picture in my head of what he’s gonna be like. So hope I’m right. The friendship between Dakota and Meyah is definitely BFF goals. I kinda wanted Lauren to be tortured on page so I could read her demise. Not sure what that says about me as a person. Caleb...ugh.

Leo has always been my favorite of the H’s by this author until Ripley. Didn’t think anyone could be better than him.

If you are looking for a fast paced, exciting, hot alpha, sweet but snarky heroine, stop reading reviews and just read the book!

Great start to a new MC series by this terrific author. This well written story is packed with drama, emotion, loyalty, suspense and love along with a new group of fabulous MC brothers and their family. The plot is action packed with enough twists to keep you guessing and turning the pages. The main characters, Dakota and Rip, start out a little rough but as they get to know each other it turns into a steamy romance. This is one hot couple! Dakota is one tough cookie (my favorite kind) and she needs to be with all the drama and intrigue in her life. She has some decisions to make. Rip is a sexy brother dealing with his own issues and family drama. As their connection grows they learn to trust each other and deal with their problems. There's a cast of great secondary characters and lots of brothers for the continuation of the series. Can't wait for the next one. This one is worth the read. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC.

DNF-
This is supposed to be a stand-alone and part one of a new series but I felt like I was missing past info and interwoven relationships by not reading the other series. Also, the first time the couple had sex there isn’t even a fleeting moment or minuscule discussion regarding condoms or Birth control. And after they do the deed the h is thinking about how he sweet the H is by going to get her something to clean up the semen that’s dripping out of her. At that moment the author should have at least had the couple discuss how they forgot a condom and if they are both clean and if she’s on Birth control. But this wasn’t even an after thought at all. It really bothers me that the author had them carry on like having unprotected sex for the first time with a new partner is a good idea. I’m not a prude by any means but this being ignored completely really pisses me off. I stopped reading shortly after this.

So good

This book as so good I got reading it because of another book that lead into this one I was a little mixed up what book went where in the reading order of the series but it was easy to figure out. But this had me reading non stop from late in the night till this afternoon. I have no regrets about spending the day reading when it's snowing outside and me curled under a blanket reading.
At places this as heart breaking to read when he thinks that she had betrayed him I was sat there and I was thinking there was just so much to happen and there wasn't a lot of book left I had to flick to the end of the book just to make sure that there was nothing left leading to a second book but thank god no I got the whole thing down in one book.
I got that excitement you get when you want something so much for the characters and then the plot twist geese Huntsman I want to hug him. What a great man I hope we see him get his own HEA.

Riple arrogant asshole, hot alpha male,Meyah brother.
Dakota strong, beautiful girl who is adopted love her family and also Meyah besty
Rip and Dakota their relationship is hot love and hate mess.
They both have own demons. Under which they suffer, painful past etc.
And of course there are people there who wants separated them,
let it be the club rules or something more.
