Still as disgusting as 1st one.
I went through my shelves and saw this author i marked as “never to read” list” for a while.
Well, it seems we really don’t agree on the “romance” meaning

With every book of Lisa's I read, I am more amazed at the power she has to make me change opinion about a character. Brian oh my god Brian... He had me all over the place. I went back to hating him for a sec and then I spent 20% of the book crying because I felt so bad for him and it hurt to see him hurt. He made me feel a lot but what I liked best was getting to see him change and take responsibility for his actions; I loved that we get to be there for every step of the way on his road to redemption.

Mark once again was there to help him with everything he needed and I died over their growing bond; after all they had been through, it was everything to watch them be real brothers with each other. I loved that so much. And watching Brian change in a blink of an eye and then finding himself again in the midst of his ruin, it was emotional and spectacular to be a part of.

I feel like this book was all about Brian's redemption and to me it was perfect. Of course there is still the romance with Vivian, Brian never forgets her, she is always on his mind no matter how long it has been... but Brian was for sure our leading star, the focus of this story and to me it really was the most perfect way to tell this story and to conclude this duet. Lisa so managed to make me love Brian and to redeem him completely. She made me like Vivian again, although she really f***ed up, if it weren't for her none of all else that happened with Brian would have happened. She made me absolutely swoon over Mark and Reese's friendship with Brian and she even made me hate Brian's bffs a bit for not speaking to him for so long.

I honestly loved this book and getting to see Brian on the road with VAIL and getting a bit of all my boys back in all their glory. Ah, I loved it!! And who knew Brian would be such a romantic, han? So swoon!! And Mark would be such a fairy godmother... he has such a big heart and after everything seeing him and Brian together and getting so along made me so happy. Definitely tear worthy moments.

With every book Lisa puts out I'm more of a fan of her words and story telling talent, I can't to see what she comes up with next. She took us on a journey with this duet, and although there was a lot of drama, fights and tears (most of them on my part), I loved every step of the way. I had not expected to love Brian's story so much but the truth is I really really do, I loved his road to redemption and I honestly love the guy now which is nothing but a pleasant surprise.

It Ended with the Truth was way better than what I was expecting, it was so much more than the first book even, I just..don't even have words but this book was what made me love Brian. I was not expecting my reaction, I was not expecting to spend 20% of the book crying for seeing Brian so miserable but the reality is I did, I felt a lot of compassion towards him and I am so happy he changed and he saw why he had to, that was everything.

I really wanted to love It Ended with the Truth. I liked it, but I can't say that I loved it, but this is partially my own fault, because I had thoughts on how all of this would play out and nothing happened the way I thought I would. I really struggled to fall in love with the actual story versus how I thought it would play out.

Brian had been burned in the past and he really holds on to grudges, and I'm talking *really* really holds on to them, harps on them and can't get over them. The majority of It Ended with the Truth, was about Brian's personal growth and wallowing, while attempting to get back on his feet after he seemingly lost everything.

I'm really not sure what to say about Vivian, I have a strange love hate relationship with her. I feel like she was on Brian's case about his lies either blatant or by omission, when she was doing the exact same thing, and even used him a scapegoat as well. BUT at the same time I completely 100% get where she is coming from. It's quite the conundrum trying to decide how I feel about her and this story over all.

While I was very happy with the final results of It Ended with the Truth, and I swooned on numerous occasions, my ideals on how the story would play out ultimately ruined an otherwise great book with great world building and execution.

Wow! Just freakin' wow! Lisa Suzanne has, once again, made my day! This book was so good that I savored every minute of it, yet the ending came way too soon. This is the type of story that you don't want to end because you are so in love with the characters that the thought of parting hurts too much.

In this book, Brian has just had his entire world as he knows it, turned upside down. He lost the woman that he loved. His job. His friends. And all because he did the right thing, coming clean about his lies. Once the shock begins to wear off, he decides to try and move on. Luckily, big brother steps in to help once again. What he wasn't expecting, was to cross paths with Vivian again so soon. Will he and Vivian finally get their happily ever after? Will he be able to redeem himself and reclaim all that was lost?

It Ended With The Truth was a gripping story about forgiveness and second chances. It was full of passion and emotions. Brian and Vivian really stole my heart, but that's okay. They will always have a part of it anyway. Please do yourself a favor and READ. THIS. BOOK.

It Ended with the Truth is book two of the Truth and Lies duet. It is also the conclusion of Brian's story. After how the first book ended I couldn't wait to get my hands on this book. I was waiting on bated breath to see just how this story would unfold. I needed questions answered, and more importantly I needed to know if Brian could redeem himself.

Brian Fox has always lived by his rules and his rules alone. He's let his playboy, cocky, and arrogant ways run his life, and now it's catching up to him and is suffering the consequences. He now has to take a couple steps back and reevaluate his life and start making changes, because if he doesn't, chances are he'll just end up being a miserable mess.

Lisa did a phenomenal job with Brian's character. The progression in steps in him changing and bettering himself was astounding. I found myself cheering so hard for him. I wanted him to find that happiness he deserved and keep it. And in my eyes Brian 100% redeemed himself.

It Ended with the Truth was the perfect ending to this duet. I didn't think it was possible for me to feel deeply for Brian after everything he did, but he definitely changed my ways, and I'm so glad he did. I'm sad to say goodbye to all these characters. I'm sure going to miss them something fierce. Definitely recommend this duet.

Even though it took Brian losing his company, his friends, and his soulmate, he still is so immature. His transformation to be a better man still needs work. His jealousy of Mark, his rock star brother, causes Brian to continue doing stupid things so that Mark has to step in and continue to rescue Brian. I really wish I had read the books about the formation of the band before this series. Maybe then I would have more compassion for Brian's behavior.

This emotional journey pulls at the heart strings from beginning to end, this books starts where the first left off as Brian finally owns up to the truth and losses everything..... or has he.... loved how they banter and struggle yet grow..... Was a highly entertaining cuddled up in bed for the night read.

This was so not what I was expecting form this author, she had me completely in a 180 over and over again with this one. I was thrilled to start reading this story to see what happens to Brian the alpha male with a huge ego and jack @$$ then I also couldn't wait to really see what happens now with Vivian. As much as I was glued into book 1, book 2 had me way hooked more. I was in love with the story and how everything changed so much from book 1 it was like I was reading something new, new characters and new everything I couldn't seem to get enough. I was way more excited about this ending then I was for book 1. This was easy to read and follow along made it super enjoyable had a lot of tear-jerker moments where I couldn't believe what I was reading. This story really had me all over the place up down, all around and what not. Best story written by Lisa that's for sure. Every page had something new and exciting happening that you had to keep turning the page over and over. Romance hits you hard in this story I must have swooned a few times, it was totally worth it. I want things from every state now :) Vivian and Brian are an amazing couple to read and the journey they go on to get the happy ending was even better. MUST READ!!!!!

It Ended With The Truth is the perfect ending to Brian and Vivian' s story! Brian Fox has been completely redeemed in my eyes and I loved his self reflection and transform in this book. Despite all his faults I felt for all he'd been through and lost in such a short period of time. My heart ached for Vivian too and all the drama she was facing alone. I was so nervous reading this book because I had no idea where it was going and a happy ending wasn't insight at first. You could say the couple had a fairy God mother who helped guide the two in the right direction and from there magic happened! Brian has truly come a long way since the Destiny series and found his match in Vivian! This is an absolute must read duet!!

"What started as a lie has become the most important truth of my life."

POW
How to sum up Brian's journey in one powerful statement.

This is exactly what I wanted. I got an answer to the cliffhanger in It Started with a Lie. I got all the swoon-worthy moments I needed to make it a total page turner. I got the ending I was looking and hoping for! It is exactly what a conclusion to a duet should be.

It Ended with the Truth is the conclusion to Brian's story and I have to admit I was not sure that Lisa Suzanne could redeem the arrogant man. This is book two of the Truth and Lies duet, but I also suggest you read the A Little Like Destiny series. There is A LOT of backstory there between Brian, Mark and Reese. It will also help you to understand just who Brian is.

Brian Fox. Little brother to the infamous Mark Ashton has let his cockiness and playboy ways over run his life for too long and now he's suffering the consequences. Will he be able to win back the girl and also make the amends he needs to?

Brian Fox will never be my favorite Fox brother. I just had to say that before I tell you how much he made me fall for him. I really wanted to hang on to my disdain for him to the very end. He caught my attention in book one, but he completely won me over in this one. How did you do that, Lisa? How did you take this prick and make me love him? You have worked some kind of magic and I loved it! Like I said Mark will always be my favorite, but these brothers both have a place in my top book boyfriends list.

I love, love, love this duet, as well as Mark and Ethan's books. I hope that Lisa continues to write characters in the VAIL world. If you were debating on reading this, stop right now! You NEED this duet, especially if you love the ultimate asshole (he has his reasons) getting his happy ever after.

Wow!!! What an amazing finish to this duet!
Probably, I was as unsure about how well Brian Fox could redeem himself in the eyes of the readers of 'the A Little Like Destiny' series as everyone else. But, you know what?
He did.
And...
He did it with aplomb!
This man has gone from being a total ass to an adorable and sweet loving man. Yes, he's still got the alpha tendencies but with Vivian as his leading lady it's hardly surprising.
We started off book two where It Started With A Lie finished, and Vivian's clanged of a revelation. Of all the things she was going to say, I didn't think "because I'm married!" would be it.
Now Brian has to deal with the aftermath, not just of that but the desertion of his best friends and losing all that was important to him.
Moving back to his parents house to lick his wounds seemed the best idea at the time, but when Mark offers him a job with his company he decides it's time to move on.
Months later and Brian is settled and trying to forget about Vivian when she's suddenly dropped back into his life as his temporary replacement because he's going on the road with the band.
Neither know quite how to deal with the other and after one little spate they just fall back on being professional with each other. But those weeks before Brian has to leave on tour reminds them of how they felt before.
But, there's just one thing Brian hasn't dared to ask.
Is Vivian still married?
He knows he can't be a willing party to cheating even if he wants Vivian with al his heart. But what if she's not? Will she still want him?
It would have been nice to hear her view on all that, but sadly this was a single POV, so we had to rely on Bri. Thankfully he was more than up to the task.
I really loved getting the inside scoop into Brian's head. His thoughts and feelings were so clear and his remorse for all his wrongdoings in the past made him more real.
It was nice meeting up with Mark and Reese too, and seeing how they were getting on.
I heartily recommend this book, but make sure you read It Started With A Lie first. Even better, if you're new to Lisa Suzanne and the Vail books then read the 'A Little Like Destiny' trilogy before that to see the Brian we all knew and well... Read it and find out.

Lies have short legs, but there may be truth to some of them and if this couldn’t be truer in this duet of It Started with a Lie and It Ended with the Truth. For those of us who know Brian personally from the A Little Like Destiny series, we know he may be liked and hated by others. We see a side to Brian that we didn’t see in that series or even in the first book of the duet. For those of you that met Brian from this duet you will still feel the same way; torn as to if we feel sorry for him or not. Brian is no saint and he is a true “Mama’s Boy” and Big Brother, Mark does what a big brother does best and is there for Brian in so many ways. Even when he gets cut off from Mark we still see Mark doing things that will benefit and help Brian. What I can say is when book one ended we were left speechless! Mark has no company, no friends and no girl, but I think the shocker was Vivian. Can Brian and Vivian both redeem themselves is the question in this book?
Brian may not have made the best moves when it came to his company and friends, but as he works for Mark’s company and the VAIL band we see just how devoted he really when it comes to business. He learned from his mistakes and was going to show everyone that he can be the better person. What I like to think is that Brian actually helped us by destroying his business and friendships cause this gave us more VAIL! So, score for us, while a loss for Brian! Love how Mark slyly steps in to bring us Vivian, friends and business changes to some of the companies. That is best how to say this to avoid any spoilers. Vivian has her own story to tell and while she is known as “the fixer” in the business world, she will need to redeem herself in her personal world. Can we agree to disagree that her actions were acceptable? Yes and no. This led to more of Brian’s downfall, but in the end, we don’t hate her or Brian like we once did reading their duet.
The emotions are full force in this duet and we see that the forgiveness from the Fox family continues to live on. New year, new day is how we should look at this. There is not a story that you will read by Lisa that you don’t fall in love with or miss and I’m excited that she isn’t ready to close the book on the VAIL band.

🦊 Swoon worthy HEA 🦊

🦊 Brian Fox 🦊 hits rock bottom - and has a HUGE reality check ... on life and on how he handles himself and his personal relationships.

YET despite it all, he still let's his old self, the douche canoe 🛶, out of dry dock; I just knew it was too good to be true ... BUT in doing so, this story took a turn of being more like real life when people don't just change overnight. You can see him wanting to change, then reverting back a little to his old self but then growing and evolving into the man he now wants to be!

Irony ➜ He's done things that some would consider unforgiveable, but he seems to think that Viv has also done something he can NEVER forgive her for. #neversayneverMrFox

Struggles, heartache and misery are coupled with a good intentioned, yet meddlesome brother (sorry but #MarkAshton steals the show #justsayin 😉 ), he pushes the buttons, almost like a puppet master, to make both Viv and Brian see the truth in a mess they call life.

#enemiestolovers … and so MUCH more! 💗

Declarations of love that will make your heart skip a beat 💓#Imstuckonyou

Pranks that will literally make you LOL 🤣

Brian Fox will capture your heart in the second part of this duet!

I wasn’t ready to fall in love with Brian the way I did in book 2. I was ready for Brian to be self destructive but I wasn’t prepared to see him completely lose himself and get lost in his head the way he did.

What I love more than anything is the amazing super system that Brian has in his family. When everything in his life is in shambles, his family is there to love him and maybe give him a kick in the butt to figure out what comes next.

I loved watching Brian mature and become become a different person throughout this book. He becomes a man that thinks of others before him and is not afraid to love. It was hard at times being by his side but the outcome was very much worth it.

I love Vivian and I do wish we had gotten to spend a bit more time with her in this book. She balances and strengthens Brian. But once Brian figures his stuff out, they balance and strengthen each other and I love seeing that.

This was a perfect ending to this duet!!!

The minute this book hit my kindle app, I got super excited. I was on holiday, but I just couldn't resist, so the very next next day, I jumped right in.

The Brian Fox we met at the beginning of this duet no longer exists. In his place is a humble, broken and lost man. He's lost everything though he unravelled the lie he started.

Lisa Suzanne takes you through the low, dark places of despair and anguish as Brian comes to terms with the fact that his careless actions have devastating consequences. She also guides us through the highs as Brian revamps his life into one he could be proud of.

I was proud of Brian as he struggled with and won over his demons. While the romance with Vivian was a large part of this book (and I enjoyed all the twists and turns), I found the way that Brian reengineered his life for the better to be the biggest draw of the story for me.

I really enjoyed this duet, and wholeheartedly recommend it.

It Ended With the Truth

After the cliffhanger in book one I was anxious to see where Lisa Suzanne would take Brian's story. *Spoiler(ish) alert* as we, the readers, had hoped he was indeed redeemable, but the character's path to redemption was anything but painless. I felt this was more accurate to "real" life vs the fairytale route many authors prefer to give, where a declaration of love patches and heals all. Brian's story was more messy, and I enjoyed seeing him grow and develop as a character. I (kind of) wish the story had been a bit tougher on Vivian because she a. Lied by omission, b. condemned Brian for his lack of truth (although they BOTH lied with good intentions), c. cheated. Although she told a tale of hardship and heartache in her time away from Brian, I still feel she was let off relatively easy in comparison.
In all, I truly enjoyed the duet, Truth and Lies, and hope you, my fellow reader, will as well.

What an awesome conclusion to Brian's story! The first book in this duet ending with a real doozy of a cliffhanger but this book brings it all to an incredible finale that you don't want to miss. My first experience reading this author's work was the "Unbreakable Thread" series which I loved and introduced me to all things Vail--unfortunately, for me, I haven't read the "A Little Like Destiny" series and I'm going to have to do so because I'm thinking I missed some of Brian's back story. But that being said, I obviously loved this series even though I didn't read the previous books so don't let that stop you from reading the Truth & Lies Duet if you also haven't read the Destiny series. And I think the covers of these books are spot on -- he's the perfect Brian Fox! I loved Brian and Vivian's story -- 5 Stars!

Truth...Absolutely Incredible Ending!

I anxiously awaited the conclusion to Brian's story. It was worth it!

Brian's house of cards came tumbling down, HARD! His lies finally caught up to him. He went all in and lost everything including Vivian. Absolutely desolate in every way, Brian tries to start new. He realizes his mistakes and decides to forge a new life, alone. But he's given a second chance at redemption.

Brian was a bit of a villain true but you just new there was something deep down that would redeem him. The characters were all relatable and I enjoyed how the subject matter was handled.

Incredible Duet...highly recommend reading!

The truth will always come to light...

I was absolutely thrilled that Brian finally man-upped and to a look within. He had the potential all along he just didin't know it. Sometimes you have to hit rock bottom, re-evaluate and then start climbing again. He amazed me with his second chance at love. He and Vivian were destined to be as well. Thank you for sharing Brian and Vivian's self journeys that lead them back to each other.

Absolutely amazing. Brian truly changed made you love him even more. Vivian understanding because she was in love with Brian she had to stay away till her divorce was finalized. The way their love found their way back to each other. Mark was always their for Brian and Brian realized he was his best friend. Just loved the story could not put it done. So many emotions twists and turns. Funny moments that made me laugh. Amazing thank you Lisa.

Amazing

I don’t know how the heck Lisa Suzanne took two characters that I really did not like and make them so fantastic. Both Mark and Vivian have some major character flaws but it makes them human. These are quite easily some of the best written characters I’ve read. The story was great and this was the perfect conclusion.

Quite a read.

After reading his brother Marks story, Brian really was not my favorite person. However, under all that bitterness and anger I was hoping that someone would be able to get through to him. I liked Vivian from the start and I was so glad when Brian finally got his HEA.

Brian has just found out that the woman he loves is married. His one vow in life was to never to be with someone who is married. So what does he do he throws her out and says he doesn't ever want to see her again. Was this the biggest mistake he made. We will have to stay tuned to find out.
