Where We Ended (Where We Began Duet Book 2) Kindle Edition
Laiken has finally heard the dark rumors about me.
Everyone who hears runs away. But she can't.
She's trapped here, in my house--with me.
Each minute we're together I'm driven to swallow her up. To see if the electricity that moves between us will grow or vanish. I thought we were falling in love. Now, I'm sure that she hates my very existence.
But when she glares at me... I see a flicker of desire in her blue eyes. The way she fixates on my mouth reminds me of how filthy we've been.
How filthy we could be.
My father has warned me to stay away from her. He knows she's become my weakness. All my life, I just wanted to be the perfect soldier for him. To do everything he asked so he'd be proud.
I thought I could.
Laiken is doing her best to prove me wrong.

About the author

Nora grew up as (and still is) a huge anime and fantasy nerd. She's always had her nose in a book, and when that wasn't enough, she started writing them. Originally from tiny little Rhode Island, she decided to run off to where it was warmer and now lives in Los Angeles. When she isn't writing about broody heroes she's spending time in the pool with her young son and hilarious husband. Her favorite food is sushi and she eats as much of it as her mouth can dare fit. She also doesn't know what sleep is.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 8 August 2018Absolutely loved this set.
I fell so in love with Dominic and Laiken.
So, so glad they had their HEA but wow what a way to go to get it.
I was on the edge of my seat throughout this book. The twists and turns were awesome and amazing. Kept gritting my teeth expecting the unexpected.
Well done again Nora. Yet another brilliant book to keep us in enthralled.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 30 March 2018I really enjoyed both books and this one didn't disappoint well written with enough twists to keep me reading to end
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 27 January 2020Wwll what can I say about.this book, don't know where to start, the story of Laiken and Dominic was a great story of a love that shouldn't have been, he found her and kept trying to protect her from his family, to them she was just a pawn that was disposable so was her sister, but justice was served.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 21 March 2018The Where We Began duet instantly grabbed me through the synopsis and the promise of darkness. I love a good dark romance, and this seemed to promise an abundance of darkness – thus, I was more than happy to dive in. Unfortunately, the first book in this duet was not to the level of darkness I like when I read a dark romance – things were all rather tame, yet I was hopeful book two would slip us even deeper into the darkness.
Unfortunately, my feelings towards Where We Ended were much the same as my feelings towards Where We Began. Things were interesting, but they were rather tame compared to what I had been expecting.
If you have not read Where We Began, go back and do so now. Where We Ended picks up where the first book left off, instantly throwing you into the deep of things. The mystery and intrigue has already built up in the first book, and this second one continues while slowly feeding us the answers we desire. With plenty of details touched upon in the first book, there was a lot about this one that kept me turning the pages to see how everything came together in the end.
I did enjoy watching as everything came together with this one, although I wasn’t blown away by it as I had hoped to be. Certain details were predictable, other details seemed to come out of nowhere, and I feel as though a lot tried to happen with this one and not everything was done as well as it could have been. There were plenty of points where my attention started to drift, and despite my interest in seeing how things came together I did question whether I could skim parts of this book and simply hunt down my answers.
Overall, it was an okay ending to a decent duet. I’m glad I read it, but it’s not something I would go out of my way to read again.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 March 2018What a great ending to this duet, book 1 had me grippe, and book 2 as exactly the same. So much more information came to light in this book and the emotions and suspense got pulled even more tighter.I am still relatively new to Nora Flite and her writing but of the three books i have read, she deftly weaves in emotions, romance, and a whole lot of suspense into her stores. And let me finally say her male leads are hot, just pointing that out.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 8 April 2018This book was amazing loved it from start to finish, 100% worth reading. Couldn't put it down just wish it was slightly longer
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 27 April 2019Good read
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 20 March 2018I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
We rejoin Laiken as she learns from her sister that Dominic is a murderer. Kara is now living in the house too but warns Laiken that any affection they show can be used against them. Laiken has got the attention of one of the new clients and finds that she has been sold to the man. Luckily Dominic works out what has happened and rescues her. She refuses to believe that he can be a killer.
Wow so glad this was released quickly. A great conclusion to the story and had me gushing with tears towards the end.

5.0 out of 5 stars Saving Each other from their darkest days!! FLOVED THIS!!
YAS!
Now that was a stellar second book in a duet that I had been highly anticipating! Woo!
Swiping the pages of this suspenseful, intense beast, it felt like there was a little bit of tension, high voltage heat, chills, and thrills revelations, devotion amongst the madness and the beautiful angst-ridden eat your heart out love into every page.
I could not tear my eyes away from the dark, passion-filled and utterly twisted chaos that was Lakin and Dominic *SIGH*
I was a puddle of feels right along with the characters, as all my burning questions from the first book got answered and the maddening heartbreak between them seemed almost too real.
Gah- that is my kind of story!
Nora Flite rolled out the red carpet of dark, dirty and angsty on this one!
The Where We Began ~ Where We Ended Duet is an absolute heart pumping must-read!

4.0 out of 5 stars The perfect ending to Dominic and Laiken's story!
4 1/2 Stars!
After finishing Where We Began, I was on pins and needles waiting for the conclusion of Dominic and Laiken's story, and Where We Ended did not disappoint!
Laiken finally knows Dominic's secret, and as much as it scares her, she's still drawn to him and needs to know his side of the story. He's trying to stay away, but at the same time is drawn to her even more now than he was before. Kara is trying to keep them apart, but also trying to keep her distance from Laiken to keep them safe as well. So in other words, it's all a mess. Laiken is confused, and even more alone than she was when we first met her, and my heart breaks for her throughout this book, but she gets stronger than we've ever seen her, and she really does learn to stand on her own two feet and fight for what she wants.
I really loved watching how Dominic and Laiken's story played out in this story, and all of the crazy and wild twists and turns we were taken on. Even more things come out that I was not expecting that shook me, and took these characters on a wild ride, and I was really wondering if they would survive, and if they did, if their love would be able to survive.
I won't go into much details, but I will say, this is a must read duet, especially if you're looking for a darker romance that is full of twists and turns that will keep you guessing till the end. I adored Laiken and Dominic and I really, really want to see Kara get a HEA one day, as I think she really does deserve it! I encourage everyone to go grab Where We Began and if you've read it already, you NEED to read Where We Ended right now!

5.0 out of 5 stars Part 2 checked all my boxes
After reading part one of Nora Flite’s duet, “Where We Began”, I had a list of questions (& theories) that I needed to be addressed in “Where We Ended”, and Ms. Flite did not disappoint. The characteristics that made Laiken the girl I fell in love with were still there, but she showed more of her fighting nature and steely backbone. Watching her internal struggles to reconcile what people were telling her about Dominic with the man she had come to love was heart wrenching, especially since I had seen the same man she had. I was fully involved in their story, rooting for them to find a way back to each other because I couldn’t imagine any other outcome. This isn’t really the end, however, as I believe I will be drawn back to these characters and this story again and again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nora has written an amazing series. I'm literally sad that its over
Nora has written an amazing series. I'm literally sad that its over. This duet is one of my favorites that I've ever read. I can't get enough of Dominic and Laiken. Despite everything they've been through, they make you believe in love. I'm so glad they got their happy ending. I'm not gonna lie, I did cry at times while reading this, but they were worth it. These two are one of my favorite book couples. As much as I hated some of the other characters, they redeemed themselves in this one. I cannot wait to read more from Nora, but this series will always be my favorite work of hers.

4.0 out of 5 stars "Being strong is all I have"
Ok. Same as before. I am having a hard time with their ages. They are only 18/19 years old but this book is written like their in their late 20s. That's my hardest obstacle. That's the part that giving me the most pause. The second things (again) is Dominic being the "Boy Scout". Having a condom in the glove box. I'm all for having safe sex but how can one 18 year old be so responsible?
Besides those negative thoughts I absolutely loved this book. The secrets and lies are out. There's no room for discussion. It's all out in the open. It's ready to be put to bed. The scene in the car was probably the hottest scene EVER. I LOVED IT. The dress came off! I mean came off! I really enjoyed the dark undertones. It makes you think deep thoughts. It wants to dark. It's written to be dark but it's so much more than that.
I'd truly, highly recommend this book. It's not to be missed!
