It’s Time to Play!
I was so excited for the opportunity to read “Black Light Redux” with so many of my favorite authors. Although provided an advanced reader copy in exchange for my honest review, I pre-ordered my very own copy after simply reading the introduction “Black Light Redux” is an originally themed, compilation which weaves each story together flawlessly. The anthology includes an overarching introduction as well as a conclusion. Every story is professionally written, fast paced and the heat level is off the charts hot… placing both Kindles (and unmentionables) at risk for spontaneous combustion!
A brief overview of each story follows beginning with…
Taken by Jane Henry: An incredibly emotional story about a second chance romance with amazing characterizations. I found myself totally invested in this couple’s journey and hoping that love would ultimately prevail. Can the past ever be forgotten… or forgiven? “Taken” is simply erotic romance at its best!
Forced by Renee Rose: Wow, just wow! “Forced” is a deliciously decadent, darker story featuring a fantasy that is certain to test limits in a very good way. With completely compelling characters, this sizzling hot story will keep you riveted until the end. “Forced” highlights Ms. Roses ability to suck you in and make you wish for more.
Surrender by Maggie Ryan: Another incredibly exciting story that made me want to pop some popcorn and settle in for the show! Ms. Ryan has an amazing way with words and her characterizations are always captivating. Owen is the perfect tutor and Marty may just turn out to be his perfect pupil!
Confessions by Measha Stone: In this scorching hot little tale, sassy meets dominant and making someone see you in a different light is the name of the game. Is confession truly good for the body, heart and soul? The interplay between these characters is totally intense as well as riveting. I absolutely adored both characters!
Shameless by Maren Smith: “Shameless” made me want to shamelessly smack someone, hug someone else and simply melt in the end. As the story unfolded, I went through a torrent of emotions but came through it feeling stronger for the journey. With plenty of heat “Shameless” may just leave you breathless.
Brat by Livia Grant: Gabriella’s invitation might be a little questionable and the roulette spin had me on the veritable edge of my seat. Another exciting wild ride and the tension at times is palpable. Does Gabriella steal Connor’s heart or will the past get in the way of redefining the future? Get ready for plenty of excitement as well as heat!
Doctored by Sue Lyndon: Oh yeah, just what the doctor ordered! This treatment plan ratchets up the heat as well as the tension. I’ve always had a thing for older men and after this one you will too! ;-) Delectable as well as squirm inducing, the buildup and characterizations are truly awesome! Hunter can play doctor with me anytime he wants! ;-)
Edge by Alta Hensley: “Edge” is all about new beginnings and second chances. Life is a journey of self-discovery, making decisions and discovering your future. Will the determination of one holy hot dominant lead to something more? Highly charged and erotic “Edge” kept me on edge, swiping feverishly until the very end.
Unrestrained by Jennifer Bene: Oh, my… it just wouldn’t be an erotic anthology without some scorching hot S/M! Jennifer Bene did a wonderful job of taking the characters subdued expectations and transforming them into high heat. Edgy and intense “Unrestrained” is a literal page turner. Silas is one scary dominant in an incredibly hot way!
There is no doubt “Black Light Redux” is well worth the price and should be included in every erotic romance fan's library. I’ll be stalking this series from the beginning with “Black Light: Rocked (Black Light Series Book 1)” to work my way through all the previous adventures!

I thought this was an AMAZING read, each of these nine stories were not only HOT they were enthralling. You can read a few stories each day or binged read over the weekend, no matter how you decide to read it you'll be hooked. Each story has it's own theme but they do entwine so be sure to read them in order so you do not miss anything that is going on in the background.

The Black Light is the hottest, most exclusive sex club in Washington D.C. The owners, Jax, Chase, and Emma are very familiar with the need to have a safe and private place to play and indulge their kinks. That's why they opened the Black Light. It has a strict NDA and what happens in the club stays in the club, or else. Last Valentine's Day they had a Roulette event that randomly matched Doms and subs to each other and then gave them random kinks. This year, they have the Redux event, and have opened it up to more Doms and subs and put even more kinks on the roulette wheel.
For this year's event, 9 kinky authors have gotten together to bring us 9 kinky stories full of domination, submission, spanking, bondage, exploration, and enjoyment. We get to see a little bit of everything from our players, and get to enjoy all the dark and delicious things that happen. The book starts and ends with Jax, Chase, and Emma, written by Livia Grant and Jennifer Bene. That ties each of the stories together and makes it a cohesive whole, and turns 9 stories that all take place in one 3 hour time slot into one book. One of the things that I like about these stories is that the introduction gets all the couples set up and certain events happen, and in the stories, you still see those certain events happening, but you get them from the POV of the featured couple. It really emphasizes that all these stories are happening simultaneously.

These are the bookends that get us ready for the stories and then wrap up everything nicely. I like them both, except for one thing that left me hanging, and I'm dying to see if what I think is happening is really happening. Make sure that you read all the stories before you read the conclusion or you are going to get some spoilery spoilers.
Jennifer Bene-Unrestrained 5*
Bianca is excited about this year's Roulette event. She missed last year's, but had heard really great things about it. She's looking for a Dom who can really give her a run for her money, one who can give her what she needed, and one who can control her. Silas is looking to at least get one good night from a sub at this year's event. He doesn't currently have a sub, but as a sadist, he's looking for someone who is a masochist as well as a sub because he needs someone who can handle the pain he wants to hand out. Neither of them knew what they were getting into.
Jennifer Bene writes some filthy stories that draw you in and leave you wanting. This one is no different. You are right there with Bianca and Silas as they spend their 3 hours exploring each other and their limits.
Livia Grant-Brat 4.5*
Gabriella is a socialite who is used to getting her own way. Right now she wants to have some money out of her trust fund, which means that she has to go to see her trustee. He has to approve any money until she gets control of her trust fund. But when she gets to the office, she finds out that her trustee has started to retire and has handed everything over to his son Connor. Connor, who has always been a thorn in her side and has always treated her like a little sister and will never see her as an adult. When she finds an invite to the Roulette Redux event, she steals it so that she can prove she's an adult. Connor is just tired of dealing with Gabriella's attitude, so when he sees her at Black Light and rolls her name, he definitely doesn't feel like she's a younger sister.
Livia is devious here. I love what she did with Gabriella and Connor. The story is hot and everything that happens is very appropriate for the dynamic these two had before the event.
Renee Rose-Forced 5*
Mariana has come down to DC to visit her little sister for Valentine's Day, only to discover that she is going to go to a kinky sex club. Mari is worried, so she decides that she'll sign up for it and go to. Mari's biggest problem? She's not a sub. Victor sees a beautiful woman walking up to the entrance to the club and there's just something about her. She says she's there to play, but she sure doesn't seem like a sub. He's lucky enough to roll her name, and get to find out more about her.
Oh my, this was a very forceful story and one that was just very Renee Rose. Victor gets in under your skin and keeps you wanting more, while Mariana's journey is very exciting and keeps you guessing as to what she's going through and how she's feeling. This is a heckuva dynamic and a heckuva story.
Sue Lyndon-Doctored 4.25*
Natalie tries very hard to stay hidden and out of the public eye. She had more than enough of that when she was younger and caused a huge scandal. These days, she works very hard at her job and hides when she can. When she sees Hunter Knox's name on a list of guests for a ball that her company is putting on, she gets excited because she has had a huge crush on him for years. Hunter has noticed that all the subs he takes look similar to the beautiful young Natalie, who has lived in his fantasy world for years.
There is some great medical play in this one and if you had never thought that it was hot and sexy, this story and Sue Lyndon will definitely change your mind and make you want to give it the old college try.
Maren Smith-Shameless 5*
Hadlee used to love being a sub and took great joy from it. Then she got caught in a bad D/s relationship and her joy and self-esteem left her. Now she's trying to get that part of herself back, and Roulette should help her do that. Gareth has been watching her for months and they have developed a friendship. Now he has to watch her play with someone else. As a DM, he can't participate in the event. But when Noah rolls her name and asks for help, all the rules get thrown out of the window.
This story is really interesting. I really liked it a lot. There are also all kinds of subplots going on, which is pretty cool because it's a short story. Maren is a tease when it comes to this one though. I can't wait for what comes next, because it's going to be dark and interesting, I'm sure.
Alta Hensley-Edge 4*
Dean and Melinda have a long history together. He was her Dom before she abruptly left him and ran away to get married. Now that her divorce is final, she's ready to get back to that submissive side of her. Black Light's Roulette event is perfect. When she gets partnered with Dean and they draw a form of play that takes an extreme amount of trust, what's going to happen with the two of them?
OMG, while the sex is hot here, the real part of the story is the exploration of submission and trust. That part is breathtaking and makes the entire story. Don't get me wrong, I liked the sex, but I loved the rest of it.
Measha Stone-Confessions 4*
When Dani's brother was killed in action, she inherited his buddies. They promised to take care of her. So when Grayson finds out that Dani visits sex clubs, he gets after her because he doesn't approve of those clubs. It's almost hypocritical because he visits clubs too, but only Black Light. When Dani shows up at Black Light on Valentine's Day, Gray is shocked and tries to make her leave. When he rolls her name, he wants to make sure that she learns her lesson.
This one has a quite a zap in it, and it is an impressive story. It is a very Measha story because it's very hot and makes you really want to be in the middle of the story because you end up jealous of the characters.
Maggie Ryan-Surrender 4.5*
Marty participated in the first event, and while she had fun, she didn't find something that she needed. Maybe this year will be different, so she merrily goes to Black Light with her best friend and her husband. Her BFF's brother-in-law is there too. Owen is a Dom and master shibarist, but Marty gets on his nerves. There is one big reason for that. She has a habit of topping from the bottom. She runs right over other Doms. Owen is tired of it. Tonight he's going do something about it, even if he's not officially playing Roulette.
I love the scenes they do, and I love that we get to see a master shibarist at work. Too bad we don't have pictures of his work, because that would be totally awesome. Marty takes some hard lessons, but she and Owen make it through the event.
Jane Henry-Taken 4.5*
Della is controlled. Very, very, very controlled. That's the only way she survives her life. She's also a sex columnist. When she hears about the Roulette Redux event, she decides to sign up for it, and signs up as a sub. She's really worried it and almost backs out. Being a sub means she's going to have to give up control. She gets there and realizes that Brayden is one of the Doms, and she really hopes that he doesn't roll her name. When Brayden sees that Della, his ex-wife, is there, he's not sure whether to hope he gets her or hope he doesn't. When he does roll his name, he knows that they are going to have a lot of things they need to work through.
This is a great second chance story. I have a deep and personal love for second chance stories, and this one really made me happy and was a great way to end all our events. The epilogue gave me a huge smile.
These are great stories, and a good way to get ready for Valentine's Day, no matter how you are spending it or whom you are spending it with. You're going to be able to read it anytime though, and I'm planning on reading it back to back with the first anthology, and really hope that there is another one next year.

Livia is devious here. I love what she did with Gabriella and Connor. The story is hot and everything that happens is very appropriate for the dynamic these two had before the event.

Mariana has come down to DC to visit her little sister for Valentine's Day, only to discover that she is going to go to a kinky sex club. Mari is worried, so she decides that she'll sign up for it and go to. Mari's biggest problem? She's not a sub. Victor sees a beautiful woman walking up to the entrance to the club and there's just something about her. She says she's there to play, but she sure doesn't seem like a sub. He's lucky enough to roll her name, and get to find out more about her.
Oh my, this was a very forceful story and one that was just very Renee Rose. Victor gets in under your skin and keeps you wanting more, while Mariana's journey is very exciting and keeps you guessing as to what she's going through and how she's feeling. This is a heckuva dynamic and a heckuva story.
Sue Lyndon-Doctored 4.25*
Natalie tries very hard to stay hidden and out of the public eye. She had more than enough of that when she was younger and caused a huge scandal. These days, she works very hard at her job and hides when she can. When she sees Hunter Knox's name on a list of guests for a ball that her company is putting on, she gets excited because she has had a huge crush on him for years. Hunter has noticed that all the subs he takes look similar to the beautiful young Natalie, who has lived in his fantasy world for years.
There is some great medical play in this one and if you had never thought that it was hot and sexy, this story and Sue Lyndon will definitely change your mind and make you want to give it the old college try.
Maren Smith-Shameless 5*
Hadlee used to love being a sub and took great joy from it. Then she got caught in a bad D/s relationship and her joy and self-esteem left her. Now she's trying to get that part of herself back, and Roulette should help her do that. Gareth has been watching her for months and they have developed a friendship. Now he has to watch her play with someone else. As a DM, he can't participate in the event. But when Noah rolls her name and asks for help, all the rules get thrown out of the window.
This story is really interesting. I really liked it a lot. There are also all kinds of subplots going on, which is pretty cool because it's a short story. Maren is a tease when it comes to this one though. I can't wait for what comes next, because it's going to be dark and interesting, I'm sure.
Alta Hensley-Edge 4*
Dean and Melinda have a long history together. He was her Dom before she abruptly left him and ran away to get married. Now that her divorce is final, she's ready to get back to that submissive side of her. Black Light's Roulette event is perfect. When she gets partnered with Dean and they draw a form of play that takes an extreme amount of trust, what's going to happen with the two of them?
OMG, while the sex is hot here, the real part of the story is the exploration of submission and trust. That part is breathtaking and makes the entire story. Don't get me wrong, I liked the sex, but I loved the rest of it.
Measha Stone-Confessions 4*
When Dani's brother was killed in action, she inherited his buddies. They promised to take care of her. So when Grayson finds out that Dani visits sex clubs, he gets after her because he doesn't approve of those clubs. It's almost hypocritical because he visits clubs too, but only Black Light. When Dani shows up at Black Light on Valentine's Day, Gray is shocked and tries to make her leave. When he rolls her name, he wants to make sure that she learns her lesson.
This one has a quite a zap in it, and it is an impressive story. It is a very Measha story because it's very hot and makes you really want to be in the middle of the story because you end up jealous of the characters.
Maggie Ryan-Surrender 4.5*
Marty participated in the first event, and while she had fun, she didn't find something that she needed. Maybe this year will be different, so she merrily goes to Black Light with her best friend and her husband. Her BFF's brother-in-law is there too. Owen is a Dom and master shibarist, but Marty gets on his nerves. There is one big reason for that. She has a habit of topping from the bottom. She runs right over other Doms. Owen is tired of it. Tonight he's going do something about it, even if he's not officially playing Roulette.
I love the scenes they do, and I love that we get to see a master shibarist at work. Too bad we don't have pictures of his work, because that would be totally awesome. Marty takes some hard lessons, but she and Owen make it through the event.
Jane Henry-Taken 4.5*
Della is controlled. Very, very, very controlled. That's the only way she survives her life. She's also a sex columnist. When she hears about the Roulette Redux event, she decides to sign up for it, and signs up as a sub. She's really worried it and almost backs out. Being a sub means she's going to have to give up control. She gets there and realizes that Brayden is one of the Doms, and she really hopes that he doesn't roll her name. When Brayden sees that Della, his ex-wife, is there, he's not sure whether to hope he gets her or hope he doesn't. When he does roll his name, he knows that they are going to have a lot of things they need to work through.
This is a great second chance story. I have a deep and personal love for second chance stories, and this one really made me happy and was a great way to end all our events. The epilogue gave me a huge smile.
These are great stories, and a good way to get ready for Valentine's Day, no matter how you are spending it or whom you are spending it with. You're going to be able to read it anytime though, and I'm planning on reading it back to back with the first anthology, and really hope that there is another one next year.

This is a long review, so here’s the TL:DR version: this second collection of story centered on a Valentine’s Day BDSM roulette party is even better than the first. All these novellas are strong, with engaging characters and a great sense of connection between the stories.
Now, on to the details….
Black Light: Roulette Redux (and I’m thrilled this title uses this word, one of my favorites) is the second anthology in the Black Light series, focused on an exclusive BDSM club in Washington, DC. Like the first anthology, this collection of stories revolves around a Valentine’s Day event where doms and subs are paired through the choices of the roulette wheel, not only as partners but also for the activities they’ll undertake during the night. And those activities are revelatory for many of these characters.
First of all, there’s a great connection to the earlier anthology and to other books in the Black Light series; we see couples from previous books, and we also address the business side of running a club like this as the club leadership examines expansion possibilities. One of the highlights of the Black Light series is the strong through-story in all the books, and seeing it continue here was fantastic.
Many of the authors from the first anthology returned to craft another story, and there are several new authors as well. The first story is “Unrestrained” by Jennifer Bene, an author known for her very dark dub- and noncon stories. Here, she builds a (for her) relatively sweet tale of a hardcore sadist who discovers through the turn of the roulette wheel a true and extreme masochist. Seeing these two begin the dance that might lead to a committed relationship was wonderful. Bianca, the masochistic sub, is a strong and vital character, and Silas is more than her match. You simply want these two to work everything out. Bene also punches home the need for consent, constant assurance, and care that is absolutely necessary to this type of relationship, and seeing that was a great counterbalance to some of the more extreme activities this couple explored.
“Brat” by Livia Grant was aptly named, as the heroine Ella is overly entitled. I liked seeing her evolution to someone willing to work with others rather than coercing them into doing what she wanted, as well as her realization that entering Black Light and its contest on a lie was something she was going to have to accept responsibility for. Connor was more than a match for her. I liked the fact that they drew an activity that really wasn’t a favorite for either of them (or for me), but that they made it work and didn’t overly portray the more extreme aspects of it. A couple of quibbles: Ella was noted as a social media star at the beginning of the story. As it really wasn’t used again for the rest of “Brat,” I felt it was a distracting statement (since, as a social media star, I’d wonder why she’d need trust fund money). And a heating cream was used on Ella, but she recovered almost instantaneously. I would have expected that to linger and be referred to later. But overall, this is a well-crafted tale by Grant that expertly explores the interactions of its lead couple.
“Forced,” by Renee Rose, does require a trigger warning. As the title implies, this deals with rape fantasy and the effects of wanting that. It’s well written, but readers should go in with this knowledge. And it’s interesting that Mariana, the heroine, doesn’t realize this herself, but her night of interactions at Black Light make this need apparent to her. Victor was a great match for her—his caring and attentiveness was a necessary offset to the actions that take place in this story. I really loved Mariana’s strength and Victor’s rapid descent into love. The possibilities for the Big Misunderstanding existed here but were deftly avoided by Rose. It’s definitely a standout story in this collection.
“Doctored” by Sue Lyndon was a relatively sweet tale of a May/December couple thwarted by past history and reunited through the roulette event. I really liked both Natalie and Hunter as people, and seeing how Hunter’s moves towards Natalie were part of a larger plan he was already in the process of executing made their actions and responses logical. My only quibble is that their public obstacles (he as a former governor, she as the daughter of the man he succeeded) were lightly glossed over. I’d love to see that addressed in a future story. And again—it’s a bit hard for me to believe that public figures would participate in an open event like this, when Hunter could have a lot to lose in front of an audience. But overall, this was a story that could make you sigh.
One of the interesting things about the Black Light anthologies has been that not all the stories have focused on the doms and subs participating in the event itself. “Shameless,” Maren Smith’s contribution to this anthology, deals with one of the dungeon monitors who harbors a seemingly hopeless love for a deeply damaged sub. She’s using the roulette party as a means of re-establishing her sense of self and her enjoyment of the lifestyle. But her past rises up to challenge Hadlee, and Garreth is concerned with present-day risks to her as well. Smith has crafted a detailed, challenging story that’s one one of the most rewarding of this collection. Side note: while Noah was a bit too perfect here, I’d love to see his story one day! And the end clearly implies more to come in the setup Smith has created. I hope it’s a future Black Light book!
My favorite story in this collection is “Edge,” by Alta Hensley. It uses a novella trope of former lovers reconnecting, but it’s also a story about admitting what you want in life and realizing how important that is to your self-worth and security. And it’s a step both Melinda and Dean need to make. While Dean realizes early on what he needed to do both in the past and now, it’s Melinda’s journey that’s the heart of this story, told only from her POV. I loved the tenderness and care that was at the heart of this tale, with both Melinda and Dean as characters I really enjoyed. One quibble was that no one running the roulette event seemed concerned when they stepped away from it dramatically to start. I would have expected some reaction from those organizers other than acquiescence. But that was the only minor drawback to an otherwise excellent, and marvelously sweet, novella.
“Confessions” by Measha Stone features another couple who’ve known one another for a long time. But they aren’t former lovers; instead, we get the younger sister/older brother’s friend combination. Dani and Gray have danced around one another for years, but finally get together through this roulette event. One of the positive things in this novella was the great connection this couple has, with some wonderful banter. But I would have liked to see safewords discussed and some discomfort shown with moving from the friend zone to something as intense as BDSM, particularly as Gray has viewed himself as Dani’s protector for years. This is one of those cases where the sub takes some rather extreme punishments, and I usually wonder how the dom magically knows what she can take when they’ve never scened together before. But Stone is a strong writer, and the winning characters who clearly have a caring relationship make this story compulsively readable.
“Surrender” by Maggie Ryan highlighted shibari, and the rope scenes in this story were wonderfully portrayed. I also liked that Marty was a sub who tended to top from the bottom. That said, her behavior in that aspect was so blatant that it was hard to believe that she’d been scening at Black Light for quite some time without doms calling her out on that. While it made for a great element of her changing relationship with Owen, I was hard pressed to accept that she was able to get away with that behavior in the club on a regular basis. Luckily the shibari and role play scenes, and the active amount of the story that focused on the actual roulette competition elements, balanced this out well.
The final story in this collection, “Taken” by Jane Henry, pairs a divorced couple in the roulette game. It’s always a challenge to swallow that a couple who had a tough divorce would be willing to play this game. I would have liked more of a justification for why each of them was willing to participate. And since it’s implied that Della is a newbie to BDSM and public scening, I struggled with how willing she was to do everything in the roulette activity. That said, I loved Della’s feistiness and fight against Brayden, especially her justifiable complaints on his treatment of her. Henry built their connection so well in this story that despite small discrepancies towards the end, I was strongly invested in seeing how they would rediscover one another.
I also appreciated that the conclusion noted that several of the dungeon monitors ended up participating in the event. That would indeed not happen in real life, and seeing that acknowledged was crucial. And there are plenty of interesting threads left open for future stories. One point to note was that this collection featured a breach of security and privacy, as the first collection did. That’s something I’d like to see addressed more directly if another Black Light anthology is created—which I hope does happen!

Two words to describe this collection of novellas== HOLY. TITFIRE. I am pretty sure my iPad almost melted. For the review I am going to write it in the order of the anthology rather than the order of my favorites.

One of my favorite things about this anthology and its predecessor is the details it takes in setting up the stage so to speak. It offers a fluidity in the story. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the characters from before that are all essential players in making this night happen. I especially love that they show what the hard limits were/are and what they get instead I loved that they tie up loose ends that have all been interwoven in the standalone stories. My only complaint in this case was I still need to know more about what is going on with Chase, Jaxson, and Emily. I would love another story of them!

This was one of my favorite stories. I need a Silas in my life. It is the story of Silas and Bianca. I loved that Silas, known for being sadistic, shows a side to him that is caring and protective (the OJ and aftercare scene and the checking to make sure that everything was okay when there was a major disturbance). Their second scene was hotter than Hades. Who am I kidding? They were all hot as hell. These two had amazing chemistry.

I loved the introduction to these characters before they became partners at the club. It helped give dimension to the story and let the reader know what was behind their animosity. I loved when Gabriella was trying to figure out the acronym meaning when she was walking to the costume room. This is something I myself didn't know so it was a new thing to read about. The author did a great job explaining things. I loved watching both Gabriella and Connor as they came to turns with how they really felt about each other, especially Connor. I would love to know more about the issues behind Gabriella and her father in a future story. There was so much more room for a full-length story.

My favorite of the anthology and considering that every story was amazing that says something. Victor and Mariana (Brooklyn) were so hot together. To the point that if they got anymore hotter they would have combusted. That second scene was EVERYTHING. I loved the after effects and emotions that created a war in Mariana’s mind as she vacillated with how she could like something that goes against every idea of what a woman wants, needs, and deserves. How do you balance between what your body likes and what society says is acceptable? I definitely know that I struggle with this, so it was refreshing to see the author expand on this idea. Victor does a good job on articulating his feelings on this and helps her understand that she is not wrong for liking what she likes.

This was a story that intrigued me because it was another area that fascinates me, but I do not know as much about. The author did a great job with showcasing why trust is such an essential part of BDSM especially in that first scene. For so many women that first scene is such an uncomfortable position to be in (even though necessary). Natalie and Knox had a lot of past feelings that needed to be addressed and it was nice to see them discover each other after a long five years. These two had an intimacy to their story and I immediately connected with them.

This story, while it did not my favorite of all the roulette scenes, was my second favorite of the collection. Although, the shower scene after the time was up WAS one of my favorites (can I just swoon now at how nurturing and protective that Garreth was?). Hadlee. Sweet lord the things that this girl was trying to overcome with her previous master. I loved how the author worked in the dynamic of how Noah and Garreth worked in tandem in their scenes (the first scene was powerful as hell and if I closed my eyes I could see every connected hit and mark. I, also enjoyed the “pep” talk between Noah and Garreth in the end. I am beyond ecstatic that this book will be a full story this year because there was so much to be expanded on with the menagerie.

The characters, Dean and Melinda, knew each other before. They had a past that needed to be addressed. I loved that author addressed those feelings. I floved that Dean took control rather than, “testing the fates and seeing where [it] land[ed]” by allowing them to do things at their pace and to establish that trust again. This was important considering what their first spin was. Without doing this I am not sure the story would have worked as well as it did. Dean did a great job of building up Melinda’s self esteem after losing her identity in her previous relationship.

I loved the backstory to this story. It gave it a different dimension to hidden desires and loving someone that you thought was unattainable for a plethora of reasons. I loved the moments when Grayson and Dani struggled with their feelings for each other, feelings that had been there for years but never addressed for fear of the domino effect that it could possibly have in their lives. The first scene had me fanning myself. It was pretty intense. I wish there would have been more of an explanation of Scott and why he had to drop out to care for his sub. I would love to see more of these characters. All of them.

One of my favorite things about this anthology and its predecessor is the details it takes in setting up the stage so to speak. It offers a fluidity in the story. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the characters from before that are all essential players in making this night happen. I especially love that they show what the hard limits were/are and what they get instead I loved that they tie up loose ends that have all been interwoven in the standalone stories. My only complaint in this case was I still need to know more about what is going on with Chase, Jaxson, and Emily. I would love another story of them!

This was one of my favorite stories. I need a Silas in my life. It is the story of Silas and Bianca. I loved that Silas, known for being sadistic, shows a side to him that is caring and protective (the OJ and aftercare scene and the checking to make sure that everything was okay when there was a major disturbance). Their second scene was hotter than Hades. Who am I kidding? They were all hot as hell. These two had amazing chemistry.

I loved when Gabriella was trying to figure out the acronym meaning when she was walking to the costume room. This is something I myself didn't know so it was a new thing to read about. The author did a great job explaining things. I loved watching both Gabriella and Connor as they came to turns with how they really felt about each other, especially Connor. I would love to know more about the issues behind Gabriella and her father in a future story. There was so much more room for a full-length story.

My favorite of the anthology and considering that every story was amazing that says something. Victor and Mariana (Brooklyn) were so hot together. To the point that if they got anymore hotter they would have combusted. That second scene was EVERYTHING. I loved the after effects and emotions that created a war in Mariana’s mind as she vacillated with how she could like something that goes against every idea of what a woman wants, needs, and deserves. How do you balance between what your body likes and what society says is acceptable? I definitely know that I struggle with this, so it was refreshing to see the author expand on this idea. Victor does a good job on articulating his feelings on this and helps her understand that she is not wrong for liking what she likes.

This was a story that intrigued me because it was another area that fascinates me, but I do not know as much about. The author did a great job with showcasing why trust is such an essential part of BDSM especially in that first scene. For so many women that first scene is such an uncomfortable position to be in (even though necessary). Natalie and Knox had a lot of past feelings that needed to be addressed and it was nice to see them discover each other after a long five years. These two had an intimacy to their story and I immediately connected with them.

This story, while it did not my favorite of all the roulette scenes, was my second favorite of the collection. Although, the shower scene after the time was up WAS one of my favorites (can I just swoon now at how nurturing and protective that Garreth was?). Hadlee. Sweet lord the things that this girl was trying to overcome with her previous master. I loved how the author worked in the dynamic of how Noah and Garreth worked in tandem in their scenes (the first scene was powerful as hell and if I closed my eyes I could see every connected hit and mark. I, also enjoyed the “pep” talk between Noah and Garreth in the end. I am beyond ecstatic that this book will be a full story this year because there was so much to be expanded on with the menagerie.

The characters, Dean and Melinda, knew each other before. They had a past that needed to be addressed. I loved that author addressed those feelings. I floved that Dean took control rather than, “testing the fates and seeing where [it] land[ed]” by allowing them to do things at their pace and to establish that trust again. This was important considering what their first spin was. Without doing this I am not sure the story would have worked as well as it did. Dean did a great job of building up Melinda’s self esteem after losing her identity in her previous relationship.

Since I really enjoyed last year’s Black Light Valentine’s Roulette boxed set, I was excited to see a whole new collection this year. It was a great collection of authors along with a whole new set of kink choices on the roulette wheel. Once again, there is a great introduction to the box set that lays out the plan for the Valentine’s event featuring the club owners – Jaxson, Chase and Emma. These three have all been featured in their own story so it was a good opportunity to see that they are still together as a triad and still trying to work out their own issues. Also included at the end of the set is an epilogue that wraps up the evenings events and lays the groundwork for future events. All in all, a terrific anthology.
"Unrestrained" by Jennifer Bene – Bianca is a masochist but she just might have met her perfect match of a sadist with Silas. Silas might be a tough dom to handle but it was great when his nurturing side came out as well.
"Brat" by Livia Grant – Gabriella and Connor have a long history together, almost a brotherly relationship but that all changes when Gabriella steals an invite to Black Light. This one featured ABDL and impact play. While I enjoyed this story, and even though it was complete, it almost could have been a snippet from a larger novel. Livia Grant could definitely write more to this story considering how much baggage both Ella and Connor have from their past.
"Forced" by Renee Rose – A friendly bet between sisters leads to Marianna realizing that maybe kink is her thing. Especially once she meets Victor. This one featured pet play and a pseudo-forced scene. While the rape fantasy may be difficult for some readers to handle, Renee Rose does try to convey the conflict that Marianna dealt with after the scene. I thought it was well written and honestly who wouldn’t want to find someone such as Victor considering the way he handled the aftercare.
"Doctored" by Sue Lyndon – Natalie wanted to listed medical play as one of her hard limits but she had already maxed out her list of limits. So she’s not exactly pleased when medical play comes up. However, a former crush, Hunter, just might be able to change her mind and lead to more than just one night. And considering she has always innately trusted Hunter the scenes were even better, a great read.
"Edge" by Alta Hensley – This was a second chance romance between Melinda and Dean. Melinda left everything behind to marry a Senator. That included her career, her club membership and most importantly her dom, Dean. But now she is ready to take control of her life once again and this event is her first step towards doing so. Lucky for Melinda she gets Dean as her dom for the night after a bit of cheating on Dean’s part. This one featured knife play but that was really secondary to the story as Melinda and Dean spent most of the evening re-establishing trust.
"Shameless" by Maren Smith After a bad experience with a dom, Hadlee needs to find her self-confidence again and just maybe someone who can be by her side. A couple of the stories definitely need follow up stories. All in all, I was blown away by this collection! Good job ladies!!

I was very excited to hear there was a follow up to last year’s Black Light Valentine’s Roulette boxed set with Black Light: Roulette Redux with the Introduction and conclusion written by Livia Grant and Jennifer Bene. It was a great collection of authors along with a whole new set of kink choices on the roulette wheel.
Unrestrained - Jennifer Bene-- Bianca is a sassy and unsatisfied little sub until she meets her match with the unrelenting sadistic dom Silas. I have to say this novella starts off normal then goes like Alice down the rabbit hole . This is erotic, steamy and oh so hawt!! You don’t want to miss this story. I loved this couple and they heat the book up.

Roulette Redux is the second anthology of the annual Valentine's Roulette at the exclusive BDSM club: Black Light.
This book follows the same idea as "Valentine's Roulette" which was published in 2016.
The idea behind these books are that annually on valentines night a good of both Doms and Subs sign up to play Valentine's Roulette in which they Doms will draw a number and stand forward accordingly to spin the wheel to pair them with a random Sub in which they will play with that night. As long as the pair finish the 30 minutes they win a free months membership to the club. Each couple have 3 hours in which they can play.
I loved the last book, and I did really enjoy this one. I have a few issues with this one though which I didn't have with the previous one. That being, they made a point in the beginning of this one that they were including more dynamic partnership to this years event. That being 2 M/M couples, 2 F/F couples and 1 Domme and male Sub couple which I though was great and during the sign up was extremely intrigued by the Domme/Sub couple and their interactions during pairing. It could have provided a great story, however none of these pairings got their own story. It was all M/F couples which got their own part. My other issue is that this book had too many pairings that already knew each other/had previous relationships with. I find these stories so intriguing because its the match up of strangers that have completely different tastes coming together when the scene might not particularly be to their liking. However, in this book I felt the pairings were too predictable and their preferences too well matched. This is the reason I've gave this one 4 Stars to the previous books 5 Stars.

Roulette Redux is the second anthology of the annual Valentine's Roulette at the exclusive BDSM club: Black Light.
This book follows the same idea as "Valentine's Roulette" which was published in 2016.
The idea behind these books are that annually on valentines night a good of both Doms and Subs sign up to play Valentine's Roulette in which they Doms will draw a number and stand forward accordingly to spin the wheel to pair them with a random Sub in which they will play with that night. The Sub then spins for the activity, there are 30 play activities on the wheel and each Dom and Sub are able to pre-select 4 hard limits from the list. I received an Advance Reader Copy for BLACK LIGHT: ROULETTE REDUX (Black Light Series, Book #7) written by various authors and voluntarily reviewed this book. With one-month memberships as prizes to be won at the new and improved Black Light Roulette Redux event this year, there are even more people willing to play and watch. As long as the participants last the three hours while navigating hard limits without safewording and complete all three kink activities by the end of the night, they win! But when the fortuitous pairings are called out, which team is really going to be able to make it through to the end of the challenges? I would definitely purchase a ticket at Black Light to see all this happening! Loved all the stories!
UNRESTRAINED by Jennifer Bene - Wow, this was one hot pairing between the Dom-on-the-prowl, Silas, and Bianca, who was unknowingly looking for this exact man, a man who was equal parts gentleman and equal parts talented to pull what he needed from her but make her feel safe meanwhile. What we have is off-the-charts chemistry between these two participants while Silas puts her through all his paces through the kinks which were rolled that evening, which ends upon him realizing that she is one rare woman, indeed, who can take what he has to dish out and still keep her sassy mouth.

Garreth was also a very good friend to Hadlee and new how Ethen had treated her. He just wants to protect her. And knows she is a woman worth having. Hadlee gets matched with Noah an Australian whip expert who asks for Gareth’s help in the scene. Loved this tender story, with a great plot too.

Gray had always wanted a chance with Dani and he was really angry at the event, he doesn’t want her paired with anyone but Him! He promised her if they were paired he would give her 15 strokes of his belt! Pain play was picked and they were paired. Dani now not sure whether she is happy with this or not. She was sassy and smart and continually pushed him but forbidden fruit never tasted so good. Was she his to rule at last? Brilliant read from one of my favourite authors.

I could not pick between all these fantastically written reads. They were all equally as good and enjoyed doing this review. This is my honest review of an ARC I received.

He promised her if they were paired he would give her 15 strokes of his belt! Pain play was picked and they were paired. Dani now not sure whether she is happy with this or not. She was sassy and smart and continually pushed him but forbidden fruit never tasted so good. Was she his to rule at last? Brilliant read from one of my favourite authors.

Brayden just wants a attachment free night of kink. When they are paired he realises he does not want Della to get hurt by wrong Dom but she wants the hurt! So that she can let go of her mistakes. She only wanted him to fight for her but he let her leave. But will she find her dream? Love is about giving with no expectations.

Dectectors were to be put in the club to find hidden phones so that this could not happen again! Overall the Valentine Roulette Event had proved once again it was a success.
I could not pick between all these fantastically written reads. They were all equally as good and enjoyed doing this review. This is my honest review of an ARC I received.

Did I love this book? Yes. Yes, yes, yes. All the yesses.
If your kink includes reading some real kinky and fun stuff, you’ll want to snag this book and spend the evening at the Black Light club with these amazing stories. If, like me, you haven’t read last year’s book, don’t worry – this one wisely starts off with a wonderful introduction to both the evening’s activities and the people behind it all. In it, we meet the loving trio of Jaxon, Chase, and Emma, as well as the DM Spencer and his partner, Klara, as they all meet to plan the details for the upcoming Valentine’s Day contest. This section introduces us to each of the evening’s players as each couple is paired up and their first activities are selected. Then, each individual story follows one of these couples.
First up is “Unrestrained” by Jennifer Bene, who also co-authored the aforementioned Introduction. Silas is a Dom who yearns to completely let go with a sub, but most can’t handle going as far as he wants to go. Bianca is a sub who challenges every Dom, hoping to find one who’ll rise to the challenge instead of wimping out. Together, these two chew through their three hours and three scenes with a furious determination that has each of them questioning their own and each other’s limits as they explore the pain side of pleasure.
Next is “Brat” by Livia Grant, the other co-author of the Introduction. Gabriella’s trust fund is managed by the same legal firm that handles Black Light’s account, so when the spoiled heiress finds the Valentine’s Roulette flyer on Connor’s desk, she decides to show him once and for all that she’s not the immature child he remembers. This story had a strong emotional connection as it became clear that Ella and Connor both had matured a lot in the years since they’d last seen each other.
The third story is “Forced” by Renee Rose, where Mariana only agrees to participate in the Roulette as a way of keeping her eye on her younger sister, who’s determined to stretch her wings at the evening’s event. She’s used to being in control, so she’s quite surprised to find out just how much she likes handing that control over to her Dom for the evening, Victor. Victor not only recognizes her inner submissive, he sees a lot more of their future together, especially after he gains, and nearly loses, her trust.
“Doctored” by Sue Lyndon tells the story of Natalie and Hunter, two people from opposite ends of their shared history who nevertheless take full advantage of this rare opportunity to pursue their intense chemistry and see what happens. She’s paired with Noah, a whip expert visiting from Australia, and without spoiling the beautiful twist of this story all I can say is this doesn’t go the way you think it will at first, but by the time you’re halfway through it’s going exactly where you want it to go. If this story doesn’t tug at your heartstrings, you might want to check if you still have a pulse. However, it also breaks one of my cardinal rules for themed anthologies – while it has a HFN for the main couple, it ends on a bit of a cliffy that serves as a lead-in to another book yet to be published.
“Edge” by Alta Hensley has Dean and Melinda diving right into their second chance with each other, breaking just about every rule along the way. While they’re settling into their familiar dance, they’re also hashing out all the issues that separated them in the past, making sure nothing is standing in their way now. This story has a great healing message about forgiving past mistakes.

I loved the way Gray was so quick to make his claim on Dani known, once he was finally able to admit it to himself.
In “Surrender” by Maggie Ryan, Marty learns that playing at being a sub while trying to direct her Dom isn’t nearly as much fun as fully submitting to one. Her best friend’s brother-in-law, Owen, is more than willing to take matters into his own hands to teach her about topping from the bottom, but she’s been paired with Edward for the evening. While all the Doms at this event are truly strong men who know how to take charge, I think Owen is my favorite, probably because he’s got the biggest challenge on his hands, not just with Marty but with the setup of the game.
The last story is “Taken” by Jane Henry. When Brayden and Della couldn’t make their teenage marriage work, their split was far from amicable. Years later, Della is the sub paired with Brayden as her Dom, and it’s time to work out their anger, frustrations, regrets, pride, and bitterness in the hopes of finding peace and just maybe, forgiveness and even reconciliation. This is a beautiful tale of two people who just needed to grow up a bit more before they could find their way together.
Finally, there’s a satisfying Conclusion co-written by Jennifer Bene and Livia Grant, where all the questions from the interconnected aspects of the stories are answered.
One important note for possibly sensitive readers: All of these stories are extremely detailed, so if you’ve ever said about a book, “That has too much sex!” you definitely should stay away from this one. But if you can handle the heat, this book brings enough to sass and steam to melt panties everywhere, without skimping a bit on the character or story development. All of these stories are very well-written with intense feelings and respect for the BDSM lifestyle demonstrated throughout. I won’t say which is my favorite because that hits a little too close to home, but I will say that if you have any interest in this topic at all, you’re sure to find a character here that you, too, will identify with. This was such an amazing anthology to read!! Full of hot scenes and stories!! We get the introduction and conclusion written by Livia Grant and Jennifer Bene. We get a first glance into what this anthology is about. The main focus of the entire anthology, the Black Light Club a BDSM club. The anthology starts by introducing Jaxson, Chase, Emma, dungeon master Spencer and his sub Klara. They're discussing the organizing of the Valentine Roulette Event. This event was extremely popular a year before on Valentine's day, so they decide to repeat it but way better.

Four Hard Limits. Three Hours.
Wickedly Fun Games and Seriously Hot Fantasies Galore......Hell yeah this is my kind of book, and trust me, it certainly didn't take me three hours or any hard limits in reading this fabulous collection at Black Light.
What can I say but this is definitely a book you should add to your collection, no if's, no buts - if you buy one book this month, make it this one (I mean you are getting pretty much nine for the price of one anyway so it's a win, win!)
Introduction - Written By Livia Grant and Jennifer Bene
This 'introduction' takes us back to the whole Black Light team - Jaxon, Chase and Emma. I love these three and am always happy for a glimpse into how they are doing. I have to admit, it's left me with some questions and I am hoping Livia and Jennifer write more from my favourite threesome sometime in the future.
Unrestrained - Jennifer Bene
Jennifer Bene likes to write dark and I have to admit, Bianca and Silas's story certainly has you turning the pages to see what happens next with this dark but deeply delicious couple. Silias is certainly one of the darker dominant within this book but boy is he hot and the roulette wheel certainly spins them some tantalizing kinks to play. I loved how descriptive Jennifer was with all of the kinks in her book and the predicament bondage was brilliantly written. A perfect 'introduction' to our first spin of the wheel!
Brat - Livia Grant
Gabriella and Connor are an interesting couple and the roll of the dice brings up some VERY interesting play that both Gabriella and Connor get unexpected pleasure from. I enjoyed how Gabrielle was 'bratty' and needed to be 'punished' and Livia Grant skilfully guides us through this couples ups and downs as they try to get over the hang ups each have with one another. A brilliantly thought out tale.
Forced - Renee Rose
Renee Rose is known for her BDSM themed books and this story of Mariana and Victor may throw some people with views and opinions of right and wrong. I think however, that Renee expertly shows how this 'kink' played out between Mariana and Victor is quite simply a fantasy that is a valid one and one that has nothing to do with the actual act it represents but, is in actual fact, quite simply another act of power exchange. I loved how Mariana 'sub-dropped' after and how despite Victor's seemingly harsh use of his 'sub' to many readers, just how important aftercare in these types of play are and how Victor fights to ensure Mariana feels the care and devotion he feels for her. Beautifully done!
Doctored - Sue Lyndon
Hunter and Natalie are brilliant together after years of unrequited yearning for these two. I loved how vulnerable Natalie is and how sensitive to her needs Hunter is in a spin of the wheel that leaves you a bit hot under the collar for this doctor's visit! Let's just say....Sue left me intrigued by medical play!

This one is one that will be continued and thank god Maren Smith has already acknowledged this will be the case soon. This is Gareth and Hadlee's story with her 'chosen' Dom of the night Noah, a visiting whip master from Australia. Let's just say I want to see what he can do with his 'roo hide belt' and hope Noah also makes a return in Maren's continuation of this story! Marti and Owen are brilliantly paired (once Owen takes her from Edward, her actual Dom for the night) and Maggie had me laughing out loud at Marti's over exuberance for something she had desired to try. I loved the fact Owen had something to prove with Marti and how Marti had a lesson to learn about what true submission was and how 'topping from the bottom' certainly doesn't get you everything you want and desire. Loved these two and would certainly like to see more of their antics together! Funny and sexy!

This one is truly a heartfelt second chance romance magnificently written by Jane Henry as she explores the hurt and pain both Della and Braydon have to purge before they can move on together. Their spin of the wheel seems like fate and with this, past regrets and choices made are healed and this makes for a sensitive and sincere 'play' between them both. Emotional ride but worth it!

Sadly the night (and collection) have to end at some point and the conclusion wraps this all up beautifully. I love these tales and hope many of the authors continue their stories with these characters as I certainly wouldn't say no to more than one night.
Don't be fooled, this is a collection with some hard limit BDSM play and some may find this uncomfortable reading but, trust me, these authors know how to write stories and its these that take centre stage. As Alta Hensley says in her book, this collection is certainly 'deliciously wicked' and I loved every minute - the only sad part was it had to end!

This 'introduction' takes us back to the whole Black Light team - Jaxon, Chase and Emma. I love these three and am always happy for a glimpse into how they are doing. I have to admit, it's left me with some questions and I am hoping Livia and Jennifer write more from my favourite threesome sometime in the future.
Unrestrained - Jennifer Bene
Jennifer Bene likes to write dark and I have to admit, Bianca and Silas's story certainly has you turning the pages to see what happens next with this dark but deeply delicious couple. Silias is certainly one of the darker dominant within this book but boy is he hot and the roulette wheel certainly spins them some tantalizing kinks to play. I loved how descriptive Jennifer was with all of the kinks in her book and the predicament bondage was brilliantly written. A perfect 'introduction' to our first spin of the wheel!
Brat - Livia Grant
Gabriella and Connor are an interesting couple and the roll of the dice brings up some VERY interesting play that both Gabriella and Connor get unexpected pleasure from. I enjoyed how Gabrielle was 'bratty' and needed to be 'punished' and Livia Grant skilfully guides us through this couples ups and downs as they try to get over the hang ups each have with one another. A brilliantly thought out tale.
Forced - Renee Rose
Renee Rose is known for her BDSM themed books and this story of Mariana and Victor may throw some people with views and opinions of right and wrong. I think however, that Renee expertly shows how this 'kink' played out between Mariana and Victor is quite simply a fantasy that is a valid one and one that has nothing to do with the actual act it represents but, is in actual fact, quite simply another act of power exchange. I loved how Mariana 'sub-dropped' after and how despite Victor's seemingly harsh use of his 'sub' to many readers, just how important aftercare in these types of play are and how Victor fights to ensure Mariana feels the care and devotion he feels for her. Beautifully done!
Doctored - Sue Lyndon
Hunter and Natalie are brilliant together after years of unrequited yearning for these two. I loved how vulnerable Natalie is and how sensitive to her needs Hunter is in a spin of the wheel that leaves you a bit hot under the collar for this doctor's visit! Let's just say....Sue left me intrigued by medical play!
Shameless - Maren Smith
This one is one that will be continued and thank god Maren Smith has already acknowledged this will be the case soon. This is Gareth and Hadlee's story with her 'chosen' Dom of the night Noah, a visiting whip master from Australia. Let's just say I want to see what he can do with his 'roo hide belt' and hope Noah also makes a return in Maren's continuation of this story! I loved the intro to this and would love Livia to write the scene that happened with Chase, Emma and Jaxson following the meeting (hint, hint). I liked that it didn't focus on the games and limits so much this time, but more on those who would be organising and running the event. I love how the couple matching not only ties all the stories together but really whets your appetite for what is to come.
The writing by each author is so well done, that even if/when the kink isn't your thing the story is still engaging, fun and easy to read.

I loved Bianca and her 'make me' attitude, she may be a sub but she isn't a pushover. She more than met her match in Silas, which led to one super hot encounter that definitely pushed the pain limits.
I'm not a masochist and would definitely have called 'red' in Bianca's situation. I more than likely wouldn't have been able to read this had it been written by a less talented and knowledgeable author. However Ms Bene not only gave us several very hot scenes but she cleverly wove SSC/RACK into her story. (I'm thinking of when he made her look up and speak to the watching crowd and DM). This allowed me to feel more 'comfortable' with the story too.
I loved the ending, yes we want them all to fall in love but that isn't realistic even for a book! However IWOULD love to read more about Silas and Bianca, they certainly make one hot and amazing couple.

Short stories often leave me dissatisfied and needing more of a story. In Brat the author managed to give both background to the characters and include plenty of steamy actions. The book also held a lot of emotional depth too.
It did leave me wanting more of Ella and Connor, I loved this couple, Ella in particular totally drew me into the story. You know you're going to get kink but the plot and where the story went was just so unexpected. Oh and the ending..... ***sigh**** it fitted this story perfectly.

I need Mariana as my new BFF. I totally loved her and her non-submissiveness and I loved the twist Renee put on this story.
I love kink, I love kinky play but I'm not at heart all that submissive. Yes I want guy to take charge but I personally an not going to find pleasure in humiliation or a TPE. So I just totally got Mariana, the character is totally on my wavelength.
Victor was really well voiced in the story too. He's obviously a very dominant and alpha guy but the dynamics of the scene and how his partner felt and responded were more important to him than the type of scene or play.
I love BDSM stories - I wouldn't be reading this book if I didn't! - but this one is currently my favourite. I could read stories like this until the cows come home. It was much less about the kink (which I normally love) and much more about their connection and understanding one another.
Victor certainly proved that he understood Mariana and her needs became his priority. I'm generally not a fan of insta-love but -wow- Ms Rose you certainly made it work in this story.
Loved the characters, loved the unusual story, loved the ride in the car (again Victor putting Mariana above all else) and love, love, floved the epilogue.

This was such a sweet and massively hot love story in just 10 chapters. The excellent character building had me really caring about Natalie and Hunter virtually straight away. The depth of feeling imbued in those characters made this quite an emotional read too.
I was totally caught up in their story and really enjoyed it. I flew through this one, even though medical play can push my 'uncomfortable' button. The author handled the scene with quite a gentle and caring touch, making it really fun to read.

Wow, this story wasn't easy to read. Not because of poor writing, not at all. I really believed in both Hadlee and Garreth, they are really well written characters. The pace is good, the story was believable and the writing is excellent.
What makes this difficult is Hadlee's not-so-in-the-past, past. I could have sat in that shower and sobbed alongside her. I can guarantee that you will hate one of the characters in this story. For an author to get that under my skin in such a fairly short space of time reflects an amazing ability.
I can't wait to see how this story progresses....

This story was much less about the BDSM and much more about the couple. In many ways this story could have been set anywhere, it didn't really have that much of a feel of being in Black Light.
The story is written entirely from Melinda's POV, but I did still get a good feel for Dean. The couple have history and definitely have unfinished business, mainly due to a very foolish decision made by Melinda. The story very much focuses on the couple, their re-connection and Melinda finding herself again.
I did find the majority of the book fairly vanilla, and even the scene didn't feel very kinky. That said the writing is good and I definitely felt drawn into Melinda's story.

I loved Dani and Gray's story. I did wonder where Gray's head had been at - Dani had all but offered herself on a plate to him. This had some very good BDSM action in it but also really focused on the couple and their feelings for each other.
I really got drawn into their story - my only complaint is that I would have loved this to have been a full length novel as it had all the makings of a such a good one.

Marty is a wonderful woman but a terrible sub, who tops from the bottom (I've a feeling we have some things in common!) She has had a massive crush on Owen for a long time, but whilst he finds her attractive as a woman he doesn't want to play with such a poor sub.
Circumstances lead him to decide she needs to learn a lesson, which she very quickly, and painfully, did. I loved that Owen still appreciated her sass and didn't want a docile little woman, and he actually enjoyed the task of subduing Marty.
The story was quite fun, really engaging and had a good mix of character development, BDSM action and plot.

I loved the story of Connor and Gabriella. And I'm a sucker for a good enemies to lovers. These two didn't particular like each other, yet they are forced together in a roll of the roulette wheel. I wasn't sure exactly ABDL was and had to Google it. And I felt the author portrayed this scene brilliantly! I loved watching how Gabriella and Connor realized their true feelings for each other. Sexy hot story that I LOVED!

This was my top favs in the anthology. The storyline and chemistry was sooooo HOT!!! This story gave us Victor and Mariana (Brooklyn). That second scene was SO HOT, SEXY, and the author wrote about it PERFECTLY!!! I loved the immediate effects and the shamed emotions that Mariana battled. Her subdrop happened quickly, and watching her battle with what happened was absolutely FANTASTIC to watch.
And Victor as her Dom, does a great job on helping her through the after effects of her drop. I LOVED how he let her know and understand that she is not wrong for liking the kinks she likes.

I must say i went into this story not knowing much about medical play. It definitely wasn't a kink I was ever interested in exploring, but I must say after the authors description of it, I was a bit intrigued. I felt the author showed us another reason why trust is such a basic foundation in BDSM.
As a woman who is rather uncomfortable in the normal situation of their first scene, I felt Knox and Natalie did a FANTASTIC job!!! These two shared a past, and had such an intimacy between them. I loved their story!

I will swoon at how protective and nurturing he was to Hadlee. I really enjoyed how the author was able to show us in perfect detail of how Noah and Garreth worked together. I adored this story and am so excited it will be a full story!!!

These two had to reconnect, to get back trust between them. And the author did that PERFECTLY!!! I LOVED Dean. He was hurt by Melinda once, he's determined it won't happen again. Watching Dean build up Melinda's self esteem was true of any good Dom. I'd love to get more of them in the future!

Feelings that both have had and felt, yet suppressed. Scared of ruining their friendship.
The first scene between Grayson and Dani was HOT, SEXY, and INTENSE!!! But that ending was PERFECT!!!

The author did a fantastic job of slowly building up the trust between these two. Especially with their past. Their story flowed beautifully. And holy hell when these two get together sparks fly!!! When they finally opened themselves up to the fact that love was still there it was beautiful.

The author did a fantastic job of slowly building up the trust between these two. Especially with their past. Their story flowed beautifully. And holy hell when these two get together sparks fly!!! When they finally opened themselves up to the fact that love was still there it was beautiful.
I HIGHLY recommend this anthology. It was EVERYTHING I love about a true Dom/sub relationship. Each author represented the lifestyle beautifully. Congratulations to all the authors on this sinfully sexy collection of erotic stories.

The second Black Light anthology does not disappoint. Each story stands wonderfully well on its own, yet each is fully integrated into the overarching plot laid out. For example, one woman passes out. This is included in each story, with varying reactions. I always enjoy Livia Grant's work, so I knew that I would like her contribution and overall vision, but some of the other authors were new to me, and each of their stories worked as well. I also like that a couple of the stories will be continued in novels later in the year. That always appeals when I enjoy a short story/novella like these. There is much too much here to evaluate each story. Let's just say, buy it, read it, enjoy it, and then go back and read the previous books.

When these two meet up again after eight years, fireworks ignite. I learned something new in this book and so did Gabriella.
3. FORCED by RENEE ROSE
Mariana has run her parents' restaurant for fourteen years, putting family first, i.e. her baby sister through college. Now her parents want to retire and the business is sold. Mariana comes to Washington D.C. to be with her sister. Seems their relationship has suffered during all those years. This storyline takes a surprising twist when the sisters get to talking and they BOTH decide to go to Valentine's Redux. Who would've thought it? Certainly not Mariana. What a great storyline and one that easy to relate to.
4. DOCTORED by SUE LYNDON
Sue Lyndon is a new author to me, so I had no idea what to expect when it came to writing style or ability. In this storyline, she introduces us to Hunter and Natalie who haven't seen each other personally in five years. They have a previous history where Natalie's father was the political rival to Hunter at one time. A scandal broke out before the election and Natalie's father used that as his excuse for not winning the election. Each has been invited to participate in the Valentine's Redux at Black Light. Will Fate step in and bring these two together? Will the connection they once had reignite into something more pronounced? Sue Lyndon wove her magic and gave us a great storyline with characters that were so relatable it kept me glued to the pages until I finished their tale.
5. SHAMELESS by MAREN SMITH
Hadlee had run from an abusive D/s relationship six months ago. She's yet to become whole again. That's why her decision to go to Black Light's Valentine Redux is so important. It's to find herself again. To once again be the person she was when she first started going. Garreth, a Dom at Black Light, was the one person Hadlee knew she could call to come pick her up when she ran. Unfortunately, I could recognize many traits in Hadlee's behavior that I need to address. This was such an emotional, heart-pounding, sexually charged story with characters that are either easy to love or easy to hate. Be forewarned, this one ends with a gasping cliffhanger.

Yes, Melinda had been the one to call the attorney and file for a divorce from her husband, Senator Mark Stanton. In her mind, Mark had been the one asking for a divorce by cheating on her and completely shattering her heart all within a year of their marriage. Going to Black Light's Valentine Redux might help her get the pieces of herself back so she could rebuild her life. Will the Fates be kind?

Once again, a Black Light anthology has left me in awe of the author's talents and pleasantly satiated with the results of the scenes provided by their Doms and subs. I've left a small review for those books I've read so far and as I continue to read to the end, I'll be sure to update the remaining books. But so far, this amass of great talent is so well worth the time and hard work they've each put into their work. I'm just in awe and hope we can continue to do it again in 2020. Congratulations to all of you!!!

Circumstances has lead her to not really having a social life and always having her being in charge.
She’s at the club tonight not for an entertaining evening for herself. But because of the responsibility she still feels towards her sister.
Victor is my type of man!
Big built,strong,confident,mafia vibe going on!
He brings out Mariana’s inner desires.
Being the personality she is,can she handle her new found needs?

One year ago, one of the best BDSM anthologies came out and we were all treated to some of the best kink stories by some of the hottest authors out there, including Livia Grant, Jennifer Bene, Renee Rose, Maren Smith, Measha Stone, and more! Those incredible authors are included in this year’s Redux, along with Sue Lyndon, Alta Hensley, Maggie Ryan and Jane Henry!
I don’t know about other readers/bloggers, but I don’t always read or enjoy every story in an anthology. It’s very rare that I get this excited over one, and I got super excited when this hit my e-reader! I read every single story in this anthology because I love ALL of these authors, and let me tell you, it was AMAZING! HOT! Totally turn on your air conditioner if you have one, because OMG....these ladies know how to make a girl sweat!
Livia Grant and Jennifer Bene: We start off our anthology with our beloved Jaxson, Chase, and
Emma discussing what to do for the current year’s Valentine’s Day party along with Dungeon Master Spencer Cook, who is concerned about what Jaxson was doing on the West coast!
Unrestrained by Jennifer Bene: One of my favorite dark erotica authors, Jennifer is one of the two creators of this amazing series! Our D/s pairing for this story is strong sub Bianca who needs a dom who is even stronger than her. She finds that with tall, built, and tattooed Viking Silas. Jennifer writes an extremely hot couple here that doesn’t hold back. Their scenes aren’t for the faint of heart, (Though Black Light isn’t your usual lighter side BDSM). She proves she knows how to make her fans squirm. (In all the good ways!) 5 Stars
Bent by Livia Grant: Livia is the second creator or the Black Light world, and another hot BDSM author (ok, they are all pretty incredible!) Gaby is a socialite who steals lawyer Connor’s invite to the event. Gaby ends up paying, and lands on ABDL. I’m not telling if you don’t know. I will say that it wasn’t for me and it rather icked me out, but in the lifestyle, as they say, “Your kink is not my kink, but your kink is ok.” Livia is a great author and this is still well written like everything else she does. 4 stars.
Forced by Renee Rose: Renee is another one of my favorite authors. She’s done so many books that I love, and there are way too many to name here. (I’d be here all day!) Mari ends up at the event because her sister is going and she is worried about her. She also bet her that she wouldn’t last through the night. She ends up with Victor, who thinks she’s more of a domme. But he soon finds out that she likes it rough. And you’ll really love this 5 Star read!
Doctored by Sue Lyndon: Sue Lyndon is a really awesome author who writes some of the steamiest D/s romance there is! Her pair in this story, Hunter Knox and Natalie have one of the sexiest medical play sessions ever! 4.5 Stars
Shameless by Maren Smith: Maren is the creator of another series that has just knocks my socks off, and this Black Light Novella is no different. Hadlee is fresh out of a relationship with a wannabe dom who has turned her into a woman who dislikes herself and sees herself as “Piggy Girl” It’s up to Gareth to show Hadlee that she’s a beautiful woman, but Ethan doesn’t plan on making it easy on him. This was one of my favorites in the Novella! 5 Stars!
Edge by Alta Hensley: Alta is one of the queens of kink, and she shows it here in her novella. Melinda finally divorces her senator husband after a year of cheating, verbal abuse, and changing her personality. She is finally free to go back to her dom and the man she truly loves, Dean Casey. Though Dean isn’t going to make it easy for her to just walk right back in. 4.5 Stars
Confessions by Measha Stone: This one is one totally hot friends to lovers steamy kinkfest as dom Grayson finally makes his move on his best friend’s little sister Dani. He has had enough of her sass and going out to underground clubs. Now, she’s going to be his! Measha writes a great build-up and get together of these two and you are definitely cheering for them by the end! 5 stars!

Marty is a sub who acts more like a domme and bosses all of the doms around. She also has given up on trying to get the attention of her best friend Charlie’s brother-in-law Owen. But Owen is not a man who will tolerate a sub topping from the bottom. He decides to teach Marty what the meaning of submission is. A truly sexy and hot story! 5 Stars.

It’s very rare that I get this excited over one, and I got super excited when this hit my e-reader! I read every single story in this anthology because I love ALL of these authors, and let me tell you, it was AMAZING! HOT! I will say that it wasn’t for me and it rather icked me out, but in the lifestyle, as they say, “Your kink is not my kink, but your kink is ok.” Livia is a great author and this is still well written like everything else she does. 4 stars.
Forced by Renee Rose: Renee is another one of my favorite authors. She’s done so many books that I love, and there are way too many to name here. (I’d be here all day!) Mari ends up at the event because her sister is going and she is worried about her. She also bet her that she wouldn’t last through the night. She ends up with Victor, who thinks she’s more of a domme. But he soon finds out that she likes it rough. And you’ll really love this 5 Star read!

I voluntarily read this book through an Advanced Reader Copy. This is an anthology of nine encounters which took place on Valentines night in a three hour span. People had to sign up for event and be willing to spin for partner and for activities for a free month at Black Light, the premium BDSM club in DC.
Prelude to night was Chase upset if he has to man emcee chair by himself again this year. Was agreed with his Dom that fellow sub, Emma would handle the wheel that Submissives spun to get activity couple will be doing while Chase manned the wheel where Dominants drew the submissive for the evening...each couple has 4 hard limits which if landed on, would have another spin and 3 hours to complete activities to win one free month at Black Light.
1) Unrestrained, story of woman, Bianca who loved pain and Silas, a sadist who she had never played with before. Their activities included flogging, a**l sex and bondage. Bianca went into sub-space, something that rarely happens...will play with Silas again.
2) Brat, story of Gabriella who has her attorney wrapped around her finger. She has 2 years before she has access to her trust fund, but finds, no longer Charles, but Connor, the son who she has to deal with. She had signed up for Black Light Valentines event and so had Connor. Connor wants her to leave, which she refuses to do, but ends up paired with her. Activities were Adult Baby where she had to wear diaper and have temperature taken with rectal thermometer, then spanking and stockade. Ended scene with them leaving together to go to his house...
3) Forced is the story of Brooklyn, aka Mariana and Victor. Her first time in a BDSM club, but came on a bet with her sister. Victor taken with her, sizes her up, makes side bet to let him do one of her hard limits. Some role play, spanking and rape fantasy were activities. 5) Shameless is the story of Hadlee who used to be collared slave of Ethen. She escaped his vile treatment, calling on her friend Garreth, who was now employee of Black Light. Garreth was in love with Hadlee, but timing always off. She drew Australian whip master Noah with activities of whipping and food play. Noah wanted Garreth to assist which would keep Hadlee grounded for the scene. Ethen tried messing up scenes but Garreth convinced Hadlee he was better for her than her previous Dom ever was and she agreed....
6) Edge is about a newly divorced woman getting back in the BDSM scene. Melinda married a senator, dropped out of Black Light, gave up her business and then dealt with the death of her father. She left Dean who was her Dom without explanation and never gave him a chance to try for something more permanent with her. Since they had unfinished business, Dean stopped wheel on her name saying they had unfinished business and drew knife play...with them agreeing to be together by night's end....
7) Confessions was about Dani who was a tattoo artist and her deceased brother's friend Grayson. Gray promised Sammie he would watch over Dani, disagreeing with her choices of going alone to various clubs. She signed up for Black Light Valentine's Day, hoping Gray would be jealous. Instead she is partnered with him, drawing Pain Play, spanking her, talking and deciding they would go on date to talk about their future after the evening was done...

Also talked and at end of evening agreeing to give them another shot....
Event conclusion was going over the evening an problem of Charlie disrupting everyone's scenes looking for his submissive Hannah who had broken off with him. Get got drunk and came after her, but security got under control. Also Ethen was banned from club as he was using his cell phone to illegally film scene with Hadlee, Garreth and Noah...but looks like some of drama will extend far beyond Valentines Day...

Great BDSM book
I really love the Black Look Roulette books. This is the second time I have read this particular Black Light book and I enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed it the first time. This is a great collection of stories by leading authors that I am sure that you will love. Each story is absorbing and will draw you in and each story has a really nice ending that you are sure to love.

Intro: With Jaxson, Chase & Emma once again having another Valentine Roulette, there is a lot to do. But things are a little off. Emma is not her normal self and the guys are a bit worried. But the show must go on. Always good to know who are put together with who. SO I have to say the introduction of the “couples” is always important. It is the lead into it all. Plus, we can keep track of the couples and I like to read them in order as when they are picked. Even though we don’t get to read about all the couples.

Victor/Mariana: Victor plays the game his way and picks all 3 rolls at once. Mariana likes her guys rough and tough. There sparks flew even before the game started. But man things heat up fast. But he also sees more them Melinda realizes. For one, he sees she doesn’t have her head in the game. She isn’t acting like a Sub and that can be dangerous. He had to retrain her and show her not only her true feelings but his. This one was sad at times. Melinda felt free but so lost. She was like a broken doll that had to be fixed and handled with care to get her back to herself.

These two were in so much pain. But thank goodness they worked through and found love once again.

I received an ARC of this series so this is my honest opinion..
Talk about panty melting novella's.. this is 50 shades look tame.

I love how this series is set on the same day, same club but a year later. It made the story flow and I didn't get lost from not reading the first series. I would have love to see more of Jaxon, Chase and Emma.

Once Dean laid eyes on her he took things into his own hands and where going to do things his way instead of wheel telling him who his play partner was going to be. Dean and Melinda took things at a slower pace in the beginning as their first scene have either been very erotic or turn out very bad. Well what can I say about Grayson and Dani. Grayson and Scott have always acted like overprotective big brothers to Dani after the loss of her family. Once they discovered Dani at the club she was warned that it didn't matter if either of them were paired with her it would be Grayson that was going to deliver her punishment. Victor and Mariana turned up the heat scale while she was waging a battle inside herself wondering why she lied being forced when it went against everything that she stood for. This story had to be the most difficult for me to read in the beginning due to the humiliation that Hadlee went through with her ex Dom. Hadlee was paired up the Noah the Aussie whipping badass wizard but once Noah caught onto the affection that Garrett the club DM had for her Noah asked for his help. It totally melted my heart at the end of the story when Garrett was holding her in the shower once their time was over.

Even though Melinda lived a bit on the wild side she also wanted to make her family happy and marry the man that they wanted to for her even though that is not what she really wanted. Once she filed for divorce Melinda wanted to test the waters again in the club. Once Dean laid eyes on her he took things into his own hands and where going to do things his way instead of wheel telling him who his play partner was going to be. Dean and Melinda took things at a slower pace in the beginning as their first scene have either been very erotic or turn out very bad. It was sweet to see Dean build Melinda back up after she got knocked down. I am so HAPPY that they got their HEA.

This is the first of the Black Light series I have read. From the introduction, I was pulled in and questioning why I hadn’t found this series before now. I will definitely be going back and reading the previous stories, as well as, anxiously be waiting for the next ones.
Unrestrained by Jennifer Bene – Bianca and Silas are the perfect combination of masochistic and sadist. Neither has had much luck finding someone who can match their level of kink, until now. They deliver three intense scenes that will leave you holding your breath. This was a great story to kick off the Roulette Redux.
Brat by Livia Grant – I had not read anything by this author before. After this story, I am wondering why. It was really good. Gabrielle (Gabby, although she hates it) and Conner have a history, although not a romantic one. There’s some bad feelings and a brother/sister vibe between the two. What happens when they get paired together? Will they be able to last the whole night or will it just be too weird for them?
Forced by Renee Rose – Wow, what a story! I absolutely loved Mariana and Victor together! They are fantastic, and Victor was amazing with Mariana. After a particularly intense scene, Mariana really questions her feelings. I like that the author included this in the story. It made the characters seem more real and more relatable. I also enjoyed the inclusion of an epilogue in their story.
Doctored by Sue Lyndon – I enjoyed this story, but in comparison to the first three stories, the action/kink is pretty tame. Natalie and Hunter know each other from a past scandal and they have quite an age difference between them. Is there a chance for them to have a real connection or are the odds stacked against them?
Shameless by Maren Smith – This is another author who I can’t believe I haven’t read any of her work. This was an amazing story full of emotion. My heart went out to Hadlee and I fell in love with Garreth. The two of them (along with Noah) provide some really emotional moments. There is an epilogue, but there’s also a cliffhanger. I can’t wait for the continuation to be released!
Edge by Alta Hensley – Melinda and Dean were perfect as Dom and sub before Melinda walked away a year ago. Having recognized the error of her ways she ends up back at Black Light and Dean. Can they get past the hurt her leaving caused? I loved how Dean took his time with Melinda before staring in on their play.

Dani’s brother died five years ago and Gray, along with Scott, is trying to fulfill his promise to her brother to watch out for her. Both have been harboring feelings stronger than friendship for five years. What will happen when they get the chance to play together at Black Light? Will they finally confess their feelings? This was a hot story. It also has me intrigued about Scott’s story. I hope we’ll see his soon.

It’s been six years since they’ve seen or talked to each other. When they get paired up in the Roulette Redux, could this be the start of a second chance romance for them? Their story is an emotional one with some sexy scenes.
I loved that a conclusion after all the stories were finished was included. It helped to explain a few of the events that happened in the stories but was not directly related to any of them at the time. The introduction alluded to something with Emma that Jaxson and Chase said would need discussed. Unfortunately, this was not addressed in the conclusion, and I was disappointed in that. Everything else was so amazing though and I can’t wait to read more in this series.

After a fabulous introduction written by Jennifer and Livia we get to meet out first Redux couple Bianca and Silas, in Unrestrained written by Jennifer Bene. She starts us off easy before yanking you down the rabbit hole into fast, furious and smoking freaking hot! Bianca is a feisty, sassy and unsatisifed little sub until she meets her match in the unrelenting sadistic dom Silas. I loved the characters and the story, the was superb. Who knew playing the game could have such satisfying results. This story was so damn hot that by time I finished I'm pretty sure my panties were smoking!
Next up is Brat by Livia Grant with our next couple Gabriella and Connor. The writing on this one was excellent, the story gripping although like Connor the first draw wasnt to my taste. After that concluded though, well strap me down and paint my arse pink, it was sexy and limit pushing to the max! I loved the character interaction and the connection between them.
Next up is Forced by Renee Rose, with the next pair in the line-up Mariana and Victor. A new couple and a new kink to explore. This one goes down the darker road of kink but in a safe and sexy way that painted me intrigued. The characters were well thought out and had a great connection and the trust between them was extraordinary. Another great read in this anthology.
Next up is Hunter and Natalie in Doctored by Sue Lyndon! This story was slower paced but it teased so well before the climax! A new to me kink that was different but not in bad way at all. It was intense but Sue eased us down gently. The characters were 3-dimensional and drove the story foward really well.
Our next couple is Hadlee and Noah in Shameless by Maren Smith! Sometimes having a helping hand when you play is just what the Dom ordered and Garreth is more than willing to step up to plate. This one is a little darker than the others, going into the other sode of the D/s lifestyle when its not all fun and games. We see Hadlee regaining her sense of self and overcoming her fears, learning to be comfortable in her skin again and finding the trust and respect she deserves and needs. A tougher read with a huge impact.
Stepping up to the roulette next is Melinda and Dean in Edge by Alta Hensley. Where there's history trust can be rebuilt. I loved Dean the naughty dom who breaks all the rules and his luscious little sub Melinda who needs a good scene and reintroduction to submission, Dean is just the dom to guide her. Great little story and I thought the intricacy of the scene was beautifully written and played out really well.
Now we welcome our newest couple in Confessions by Maesha Stone, Dani and Gray! A bittersweet connection and history links these two characters before the scene even starts. It was a sexy, well written and interesting story. I enjoyed the bsnter and teasing between the characters before the sexual tension heated up Dani's skin and other ways too.
Our next couple which feature in Surrender by Maggie Ryan are Marty and Owen. Wow this one was fun, lots of humour and plenty of sass from the woman who tops from the bottom. I loved how Owen takes it upon himself to teach the naughty sub how to truly submit. This was a hot one, it had great scenes and I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story. I thought the trust and connection built between the characters really gave alot to the story.
Our last couple of the night are Della and Brayden in Taken by Jane Henry. A bitter sad past, lots of anger and a couple that fight against each other as they learn to fight for each other. I thought the backstory was well thought out and tied in really well with the characters as they are now, I enjoyed the powerful recconnection as they accept and forgive the past. A great last couple to read about in this anthology.
Lastly the fabulous conclusion by Jennifer Bene and Livia Grant. Hoping there is another Roulette next year!

I loved Dean the naughty dom who breaks all the rules and his luscious little sub Melinda who needs a good scene and reintroduction to submission, Dean is just the dom to guide her. Great little story and I thought the intricacy of the scene was beautifully written and played out really well.
Now we welcome our newest couple in Confessions by Maesha Stone, Dani and Gray! A bittersweet connection and history links these two characters before the scene even starts. It was a sexy, well written and interesting story. I enjoyed the bsnter and teasing between the characters before the sexual tension heated up Dani's skin and other ways too.
Our next couple which feature in Surrender by Maggie Ryan are Marty and Owen. Wow this one was fun, lots of humour and plenty of sass from the woman who tops from the bottom. I loved how Owen takes it upon himself to teach the naughty sub how to truly submit. This was a hot one, it had great scenes and I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story. I thought the trust and connection built between the characters really gave alot to the story.
Our last couple of the night are Della and Brayden in Taken by Jane Henry. A bitter sad past, lots of anger and a couple that fight against each other as they learn to fight for each other. I thought the backstory was well thought out and tied in really well with the characters as they are now, I enjoyed the powerful recconnection as they accept and forgive the past. A great last couple to read about in this anthology.
Lastly the fabulous conclusion by Jennifer Bene and Livia Grant. Hoping there is another Roulette next year!
