The first time I saw Major Cade Jameson his pants were around his ankles. Taught, smooth glutes pushed over snug boxer briefs that gloriously enhanced every inch of the hard-earned muscles peeking out from under them. Those perfect glutes called to me like a siren, beckoning for me to come forward and, “squeeze here.” But I’m getting ahead myself. To tell this story right, I’ll have to start with the present and not the past. I owe Cade a debt. A life for a life. My name is Brecklyn Brannon, and I’m not who I claim to be.

THANKS FOR MY ARC!

Stand-alone
Release: September 17, 2018
Blurb:
Breck:
My name is Brecklyn Brannon, and I’m not who I claim to be.
A year ago, I packed up my promising life in the city for a man I saw only once.
Accepting a temporary job with Cade and four blazing hot veterans should have been my way in.
Except, Cade acts like he would rather be tortured than speak to me.
He can resist all he wants, but I made a promise that I intend to keep.
Even if it costs me everything.
Cade:
I’ve watched her for over a year.
There’s something about her that seems familiar… but now that she’s living here for two weeks, I could care less what it is.
I just want her gone.
Breck is temptation personified, and some lines can't be crossed.
I'm Major Cade Jameson, and I made a promise, too.
One that I can't break.
No matter how hard IT gets.

★ 4 “Major Jameson” STARS ★

“I smile stupidly, very pleased with myself. I brought Cade Jameson to his fucking knees.”

▬⋆▬⋆▬⋆▬⋆▬⋆▬⋆▬⋆▬⋆▬⋆▬⋆▬⋆▬⋆▬⋆▬⋆▬

Cade... my gosh!

Major Jameson is going to dehydrate my lady parts with that broody look and sexy voice.

I cannot tell a lie... I've loved Major Cade Jameson since his first introduction in Commander in Briefs. Between him and Theo, I wasn't sure who 'commanded' more of my attention. So color me thrilled when I found out that the Major would be getting his own story.

Cade was a war veteran suffering from PTSD after losing his entire unit. He hasn't figured out how to grieve much less how to move on and to say he had a lot of psychological issues would be an understatement. However, at his core, he was still very much the man he had always been - loyal, protective, honorable and true. It was impossible not to fall for this man, broken and vulnerable though he was. He was incredibly solid and had a subtle charm that matched his overt hotness.

I loved the way the author tied together Breck and Cade's lives. They had a history that didn't really exist beyond a spark of connection. Yet it was easy to see why Breck fell for him before even meeting him. Those letters from her brother were bittersweet and found multiple ways to make my heart ache. However, they served as the perfect backdrop to the love story that grew out of it.

Getting to see the rest of the gang added just the right amount of drama and hilarity this story needed. The camaraderie between the guys will still alive and strong. Honestly, all of the men in this world are worthwhile to read. I'm not sure who will be getting their happy ending next, but I'll definitely be there to read about it!

Had to stop myself from crying on the tour bus, just an FYI. This book always hits me right in the feels.

(June 29 2019)

YES

Just, yes.

Kristy Marie does it again, making me all emotional and just astounding me with quality writing and drama-galore.

Our main characters, Brecklyn "Breck" Brannon and Cade "Major" Jameson, are bloody perfect. I don't know how it happened but they just – they compliment each other so well, and even though Cade was an idiot (a theme I'm sensing with the main men in this series because come on, these women love you!)

The backstory in this book, those little things unfolding, I am so looking forward to reading about in the future – Kristy, is there a plan for Vic's book? Because I need that ASAP. And Mason's. And Tim's. And HAYES – particularly how dynamics are now changing as the organisation grows further and further, and more people are introduced (like new recruits; Anniston is an angel and I'm 110% sure Kane will return and daaaaaamn do we get a book for him too because I'd read that!

I loved the chapter starters with Bennett's letters, they added a new level and almost a completely third perspective to the whole story – but not of the story, more an observational perspective that really spurred on great character development.

This entire dysfunctional family and all their banter and good humour and they're just so perfectly imperfect. And for all the bullshit they put each other through (like LMAO CADE'S SHOWERS) and how the basically try to make everyone feel comfortable with them (top-of-head-kisses? Breck, you just inherited new big brothers, hug them for me and love all their forehead kisses) and just ahhhh I love them so much that I could cry (I did!)

I cried because this book was so incredibly realistic. I'm not usually one for contemporary but I can make exceptions for the realisticness of books I read by reading double the amount of PNR and fantasy. But when you get writing this good, and a storyline this good, you literally find yourself realising that things like this are real life things and as an emotional person who's sending her own brother of to our national defence force next year (I'm so proud of him!), these books just touch my heart and I want to hug all the characters. And if I ever have the pleasure of meeting Kristy, hug her as well. (Even if I have to travel all the way to the US for)

I highly recommend this book to romance lovers. 18+ only though!

Okay, but did the Major ever get any of B's cookies again? #majorjamesondoesntsharefood #notwhenitsfoodmadebybreck

Kristy Marie I am going to start with you my dear are a total ROCKSTAR. Gorgeous was all that I hoped for and more. I absolutely loved the first book in the series Commander in Briefs, as it was a huge five star read and in turn making me forever and ever #teamtheo, however after totally devouring Gorgeous let's just say I am suffering with a huge #majorcrush. The magic that Kristy has weaved with her words to bring us Cade and Breck's story will make you laugh, break your heart, cry a river and will have you taking up a gym membership in an instant. Their journey is emotional, frustrating, heart wrenching, passionate and seriously sexy as hell. Gorgeous is a book that you will hold close to your heart well after you have read the last page. Cade will tear your heart out at times and the struggle for Brecks in divulging the truth will cause you to want to hold her hand in support, but it will be a letter from her brother that made the dam burst its banks for me. If you want a story that will make you feel a family attachment to the characters and take you on a ride that you get to experience every emotion then make sure you one click it because the power in the words of this book are like Thor and Wonder Woman rolled into one.

So, of course before I start my review, I have to say thank you to my girl Kristy.  I was given the awesome opportunity to ARC read my favorite guy and MAJOR crush Cade, in exchange for an honest review, and I didn’t even have to think twice.  I’ve said it plenty to her and I will keep saying it, I am so proud of you love.  You have completely blown me away with your ability to blow me away.  With your words, your creativity, your visuality, I am always awestruck by your work.  You can do no wrong and I am truly looking forward to more from you.  Love you to the moon and back!!!

Now, to the good stuff …

Have you ever been so into a book, you felt like you were drowning in the characters and everything about them?  Well, let me just say, welcome to Gorgeous.  I can honestly say I was not ready for all that was Cade.  I thought he had a lot going in Commander in Briefs, and don’t get me wrong he did, but I was not prepared for this Major Cade Jameson.  If you’ve read book one of this series, you got your first glimpse into the life of Cade.  But when you read Gorgeous it gives you a more in depth perception of his story.  On top of that, you get to know more about Breck and her connection to Cade; which I’m gonna be upfront with you, might shatter you to pieces!

When you learn the reason behind Cade being a homeless, your heart breaks immediately.  While overseas, Major Cade Jameson lost his entire team to a roadside bomb and he blamed himself.  He was supposed to be with them, but he was off doing something way less important.  Feeling not worthy to life, he let himself fall by the wayside and basically die.  Until he was found by Anniston, and she helped whip him back into shape.  Fast forward, now you have a more confident Cade.  Though, he is still burdened with flashbacks of the day he lost everything and everyone he cared about most.

And then there is Breck who is an aspiring chef, hired to work for one of the top chefs in New York City.  But after a newspaper article catches her attention, her journey is routed to Georgia.  She knows she’s giving up everything when she leaves home, but what are the chances that the one person she’s been looking for just so happens to be on that newspaper article?  She has to help him, because he was such an inspiration to the one person who meant anything to her; her brother.

I was pissed right off the bat reading Gorgeous, and I honestly did not want to finish.  I cried so hard at the beginning of this story, and I hadn’t even made it to the first frickin chapter yet!  I had to tell Kristy I was mad at her for this, and let’s just say, these were not my only tears.  Cade and Breck’s story was so real and so raw, it was almost exhausting to read.  But there was never a point, after the beginning, that I wanted to stop reading.  Let’s just say there were a lot of sleepless nights and a lot of shit talking from my husband that went something like, “babe, take your ass to bed,” but that’s beside the point. I really could not get enough once I started and got past my initial emotional and mental breakdown.

Learning the connection between Breck and Cade about tore my life apart. And how Cade found out about it, I had the same exact reaction. The whole time I was thinking he has to know, but I get why he wouldn’t because he blocked that part of his life out. When he asked her last name, I thought for sure that was it, but nope! nothing. When he found out, my heart absolutely broke for Breck. She was trying and they had reached such a pivotal point in their relationship for it to be set back like nothing ever happened and no progress had been made. It was a tragedy and I practically cried a waterfall.

And then to learn what Anniston and Theo had been doing for his family the entire time they’ve known each other, ripped me further into shreds. Cade was so consumed in his self-loathing about losing his military family, that he didn’t even realize he had been building another one willing to do anything to help him in his times of need. Let me just save you some time and say that whole chapter contains my tears, snot and boogers. Devastation is the key word, ladies and gents.

Now, I say this next part knowing I am completely biased in my love for everything Cade, and I say that to say I do NOT care, but I LOVED Cade’s asshole side. What I’m not going to do is make excuses for him and say “he didn’t mean to say it” or “what he meant was” because we all know he did. I respected the fact that even though her feelings were hurt time and time again, Breck learned she held a certain power over Cade and didn’t let him scare her off. For a moment I thought we were going to lose her, but she stood her ground and started to give it just as good, if not better than Cade did. Their back and forth was so fun to read, because it was done it a tit for tat kind of way and once Cade loosened the hell up, it almost seemed light-hearted. I say seemed, because we are still talking about Mr. Broody Cade. Let’s not get too crazy.

Speaking of fun times. I can’t not bring up the guys!!! Vic is becoming a quick fave and I shed some tears for him when he told his story. Hayes is always a good time and I can’t wait for his story. Tim was surprisingly VERY fucking HOT! As in VERY! Beg me? Um, yes please! And yes, please again! I’m hoping he has a story, because I’m there!

Overall, Kristy did a fucking phenomenal job writing Gorgeous. It was the perfect combination of every emotion imaginable. I felt every emotion while reading and could see every tear shed and smile spread. My heart broke one thousand times, but was pieced back together with the overall outcome of the story. I loved the hidden gems, like the letters, even though I teared up reading them. She made Cade and Breck’s story with her soul. Or at least that’s what it felt like to me.

Now, to throw my ultimate hater moment in here. Jessica and Milos! I hate you both! How fucking dare you both be mentioned, BY NAME! in my man’s book?! I am so not your friend(temporarily of course) right now! I need to beta read the next book because I wanna be a friend in the next book. I mean, who doesn’t need a crazy loud mouth friend named Ebony right?

If you have yet to grab yourself a copy of Gorgeous, make sure to do so NOW!!! You know, I’ve never really felt so emotionally vulnerable reading a book and that is how I felt reading this story, even reviewing it. That goes to show what a great author Kristy is.

Hey Kristy Marie, can I offer you a ride home? Meaning I love you babes!

And to think you'd not fall for Cade ! Kristy has once again done a fabulous job with Gorgeous! I don't even know where to start. I was flipping pages with delight one page at a time. I have the biggest book hangover ever !
There's so much testosterone and marshmallow and bonfire. Not only will Cade melt your panties with his brooding mood and love for B, but you're bound to fall for other characters namely Vincent (Dibs on that sexy guy!) Also the constant struggle between the OLD vs. NEW Cade - Dayum girl, you are for sure will be left panting for more. That bromance between Cade and Theo - someone just call the firefighters already.
The seduction skills shown off by a certain member of the commander's family ! ( Warning ya'll - NO PANTIES REQUIRED ) . Trust me, I've been through this book two times already and i still can't get enough of it!
You absolutely need to read this book if you have not. YOU'RE MISSING OUT IF YOU DON'T READ IT!

I loves this!
I have never read anything by Kristy, but this sounded like a good one. I just purchased the first book in the series, I'm about to dive in!
This story was heartbreaking, very serious at times, but also had me laughing out loud.
I'm a sucker for a broody, alpha male. Cade is just that and then some. Broken from his past, believing he deserves nothing. Breck disagrees. She sees him for the hero he is and is determined to make him see he's worthy of love and affection.

This story was intense and very real at times. She talks about the hard things men returning from war deal with. I love that whole thing. You see some authors touch on the heavy, but gloss over it, this is not glossed over at all.
This is definitely one of my favorite reads this year!

"Not much gets under my skin ... except this girl. My jelly girl. The brunette that annoys me and intrigues me."

Gorgeous is everything I didn't expect it to be. It got under my skin and easily found it's way to my heart. This is the perfect story for Cade, I couldn't have wished for another story and another more fitting heroine than Breck.

"This woman is my kryptonite. The jelly to my peanut butter."

Cade and Breck were perfect for each other right from the beginning. It's the perfect chemistry and fate that will crawl under your skin. Kristy Marie found a way to tell Cade's story as a slow burn with the right amount of fun, sexiness, drama, tragedy, friendship, family, love and harmony.

"Profound and beautiful, I watch the girl who pushed at me, tempting and charming as she chipped away the armor of my heart right up under my nose."

Gorgeous is a magical story full of emotion and passion that will capture your heart instantly. It will make you laugh, love and break your heart. This book let me fall even more for all those hot, damaged marines we got introduced to in Commander in Briefs.

What a fantastic follow up from Commander in Briefs (which I thought was an amazing debut novel). I fell in love with the Commander’s boys in Book 1 and Book 2 Gorgeous was everything I had been not so patiently waiting for and more. Gorgeous completely captivated me, it was a struggle to put down and I absolutely loved every moment, paragraph, page and chapter of this sexy and thoroughly engrossing read. I can’t wait for more of the Commanders boys.
Thank you Kristy Marie for this sensational read and for making me feel like part of this gorgeous, unconventional and wonderful family of misfits.
Cade and Brecklyn’s story was tearful, engrossing, humorous and incredibly sexy read.

Brecklyn Bennett, a culinary student, is on a mission to find the hero her brother, Brannon, had the privilege of serving for in the marines before he was killed in action. Besides her best friends Jess and Milo, Brannon was the only family she had, and she felt it would have been something Brannon would have done, to make sure his commander was okay after what happened. She happens to see a picture of his hero, now homeless, in the paper, and she knows she must find him to help him. She leaves her life in New York to look for him, but when she finally sees him he’s no longer homeless and not alone, having lunch with a gorgeous woman. Not wanting to go back home and admit defeat, she decides to stay and find a job.

Major Cade Jameson has been plagued with guilt for his team, including his brother Drew, being killed under his watch. He becomes depressed and homeless, but with the help of Dr. Anniston McCallister she managed to help turn his life around and he will forever be indebted to her. He has major PTSD with triggers, and one of the ways he copes with his triggers is to stay away from women. That doesn’t mean he can’t watch from afar, which is what he does with Brecklyn, the jelly girl at the local orchard. When she is hired to bake pies for Anniston’s wedding, Cade knows he will do whatever he can to keep her away from him, even if it means being mean and rude to Breck. Unfortunately for Cade, he has no idea that Anniston has hired Breck to stay at the house for 2 weeks while she’s on her honeymoon to watch over and teach the guys how to cook. Cade knows this will be absolute torture for him, so he hatches a plan to get Breck to leave on her own. But the time spent together with her, and Breck becoming close to the other guys that live there, makes it difficult for Cade to continue to keep pushing her away. Just as he finally convinces himself that maybe he can have it all with Breck, a bombshell is dropped on him and he loses it and lashes out at Breck. Can Breck be enough to save Cade, if Cade doesn’t feel the need to save himself?

This is the second book in the Commander in Briefs series, and it is a fantastic read! I love all the characters, especially broken and damaged Cade. He feels he should have no happiness or love in his life, punishing himself due to the lost lives of his team. Theo, Hayes, and the rest of the guys really lightened up the book with their hilarious moments, but also shows they are a true brotherhood who will go the ends for each other. Looking forward to reading Hayes book next!

I was given an advanced readers copy of this book and have decided to leave a voluntary honest review. I first need to say that I waited for this book to come out on pins and needles. Cade had me from the very start. You know sometimes when you connect with charcter well Cade is just that for me. This man is everything any girl could ever ask or want. Yes he has to deal with PTSD and no that's not easy. But the man is a true hero in my eyes. And God his mouth will have you panting in no time at all. Cade is not only sexy, her loyal, he's protective, he's man man through and through. I can go on and on about him. Now as for Breck I think she is one of the most unselfish people ever. To do what she did to find Cade the girl is angel just like Anniston. Kristy I knew you would make me fall in love with Cade even more. I'm head over heals for him. Thank you bringing this beautiful man into my life.

[I received a digital ARC for an honest review]

Gorgeous by Kristy Marie is the second book in the Commander and Brief series. It can technically be read as a standalone but I am glad I read the first because I was already attached to these characters especially Cade which made this book really emotional.

Breck is absolutely adorable and I love her character so much. She loves to cook and is a super hero nerd who writes reviews in her down time. She's sweet, kind and always looks for the best in people. After her brother dies during active duty her goal is to reach out to his major and be there for him. As an honor to her brother who she thought of as her best friend and for the major himself who she grew to admire in her brothers letters.

Cade feels responsible for the lost lives of his team, if he hadn't been wrapped up in a woman he would have been there for his men. He feels he doesn't deserve to be happy and he can't stomach being with a woman. A woman caused him to lose everything including his brother and the family he called his own, therefore intimacy can cause him to go to A pretty dark place.

"She’s like my very own comic book nerd. Sexy and cute, just begging for me to prove how much bigger my hammer is than Thor’s."

"This man. This aggravating man, is all mine tonight, and I plan on wrecking him"

I loved everything about this book. The antics and flirting between the veterans at the house and Breck had me chuckling out loud. I knew that this was going to be an emotional read because of all Cade's trauma from service, but I wasn't prepared for all of it. I was teary eyed during more than a few chapters. Gorgeous is a slow burn that is totally worth it in the end. The chemistry and tension builds until it explodes. Kristy Marie once again wrote some of the best sex scenes ever, and they are the perfect combination of emotion and dirty talk that will leave you hot and bothered.🔥

You make me crazy,” he admits, placing open-mouthed kisses along my jaw, toward my lips but never getting close enough. “Every damn day, I’ve watched you. I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve imagined shutting you up with something other than words.”

I wish I could give Gorgeous by Kristy Marie more than 5 stars and I will be anxiously awaiting the next book. {Fingers crossed its Hayes} 😍

 "This woman is my kryptonite.
The jelly to my peanut butter.
And I’m f*cked."

“I like the idea of hope,” I confess quietly. “That when all feels lost, someone is out there for you, waiting to pick you up and fight your wars.”

Amazingly exceptional doesn’t even feel enough to describe this book.

I have so many feelings for this book I’m not sure I’m even gonna be able to put them down not words and deliver you a not-sappy-at-all review!

So let’s start from the beginning, shall we??

We met Cade in Commander in Briefs (number one in this series) and I guess we all fell in love with his broken soul, he’s moody, broody, occasionally an asshole but he’s also sweet and protective. We were aware from the first pages of ‘Gorgeous’ that this wasn’t going to be a stroll in the park but I was expecting this roller coaster of emotions and these moods throughout the whole book. I felt crazy most of the time, and I have the feeling I also looked crazy.

Cade gives a hot and cold vibe throughout the book but even in his worst moments you will still feel the love from his newfound family and it will just make your heart explode to see him interact with the guys and Anniston. But most importantly you’ll adore seeing his interactions with Breck, his jelly girl.

Breck is fierce, strong, smart, a kickass cook and just an amazing person. She’s one of the only people who can stand Cade’s broody ass and take him head-on in every argument.
Breck has a rough past which just helped define the strong woman she is today.

Cade and Breck’s relationship begins with a rough start but before they both realize, their banters, their arguments, their jokes only bring them closer to each other making them fall hard and fast, almost too fast.

I loved everything from this book, from the dirty talking and joking to the more serious situations. I cried, laughed, loved along this book and just as I anticipated Kristy blew my mind away, again...

Gorgeous will always own a part of my heart and it will always be special to me so I definitely recommend this to everyone who’s reading, with the hope you find your light in the darkness.

I still remember the day I first started reading Commander in Briefs and was instantly hooked on Kristy Marie's distinctive writing style and unconventional characters. It was love at first sight and that love has only grown and flourished even more with Gorgeous.

Cade and Breck's story made me an emotional mess. It was intense, heartbreaking, addictive. But also hopeful, sweet and passionate. It was unique and heart-warming, with a fair amount of the thing I like best about Kristy Marie's writing - her incomparable humor.

And although a very small piece of me would love to keep this gem hidden as my most prized possession and not share it with the world, I truly hope more people would read it and fall in love just as I did.

Watch out literary world, there's a rising star on the horizon!

Another enjoyable read. I love thAt Kristy Marie has her own signature humor. This family by choice is hilarious, and I really love them.

Cade and Brek are great. I love their chemistry, and they had a ton of swoon worthy moments. And now that I have read more all the books, can this woman write a bedroom scene. Lord 🔥

I will say that, for me, the pacing was off. A lot of build up and the the climax, falling action, and resolution happen very fast. Too fast.

I’m still loving this series and her writing. I can’t wait for more.

Last book of 2022 and it did not disappoint!!! I love Cade since I read Commander so I had to jump into his book. Everything Breck and Cade was perfection. I’m so invested in this series and these characters! A true testament to Kristy Marie’s fantastic writing and world building ❤️ The audiobook is fantastic as well. Great way to finish an awesome year of books!!!

Wow! I honestly don't even know where to start. This was so good from beginning to the end! I actually think I liked this better than the 1st book! I'm crushing so hard on Cade right now. ;)

Beautiful read! Highly recommend!

Absolutely loved, loved this book!! I have been waiting for Cade's story to come out and Kristy Marie did not disappoint. Once again her writing style and ability to tell a story completely blew me away. I laughed, cried and lost my heart to a beautifully written Cade somewhere in between.

5 stars? It actually deserves more than that.
I just finished this tear jerking novel about Cade a PTSD ex commander and a woman named Breck who was the sister of a soldier named Brennon who was commanded by Cade. Breck decides she wants to help her brother's used to be commander who her brother looked up to. So without spoiling it, I leave you with a short summary and say this book changed my view of soldiers with PTSD and they can still lead normal happy lives. Sidenote: the secondary characters were just as entertaining as the two main characters. I highly recommend.

I’m kind of addicted to this series and all these characters omfg.

If I enjoyed Cade in the other books then I simple loved him in his own book. Breck was also an amazing character to follow around. I really liked their story and to see how different but perfect for each other they were.

I really enjoy how the author can write about all the cute and romantic stuff but also get us emotional with the more human and real stuff.

And omfg the side characters get me every time. Hayes did it for me, I love him so much 🤧 and Theo and Anniston whole “mommy and daddy” thing always makes me laugh so damn hard. This little family is everything.

I’m really enjoyed this series and I can’t wait to pick the rest of the books.

"The tree is my body. The roots are my family. The phoenix, my rebirth, burning away the demons that haunt my soul. I’m starting over. I’m rising from the ashes. I’m letting go. And I’m going to make all of them proud."

I fell in love with Cade in Commander, and after finally reading his story, I can say that I love him even more now.

I'm happy that Cade had his HEA, especially after all the things he had to endure, to finally let the guilt go over his past in the military and to be with the woman he loved. Breck was this hilarious little thing that no matter how much of an asshole Cade was being towards hers, she didn't gave up on him and helped him heal. After everything she went through with her family she still was a strong and selfless woman. I loved them together, their back and forth and their banter

This story was sweet, made me laugh (*cough* Theo *cough*) and it had moments that made me feel for Cade and his guilt over his past. I really loved every time the gang got together, I can't wait to read all of their stories, they already feel like family.

*This review contains no spoilers*

Ho-ly cookies and jelly, I'm floored.
I´ve been waiting for this book for 10 months now and I was still not prepared for this.
She did it again. And five stars don't ever begin to cover it.

Kristy Marie was able to do something that not everyone can achieve, at least not for me, and definitely not with this intensity: she created a world that I would give anything to live in.
I do mean A-NY-THING.
If someone said to me: "Here´s your plane ticket, now choose your fictional destination", you can bet your most precious possessions that my answer would be none other than Madison, Georgia - the plantation house bursting at the seams with hotAF Marines and a delicious foulmouth baseball player, to be more precise.
I wanna move in... seriously...like, tomorrow.
The house is big enough but if that´s an issue, I can always share a bed with Hayes or Tim; I don't mind. 😈
Or Vic, or Mason... you get the point.

Cade and Breck´s story broke my heart, shattered it into a million tiny pieces.
I cried So. Freaking. Much. Ugly tears. Straight up bawling, swollen face; the whole nine yards.
And then, very slowly and carefully, they put it back together. And filled it. With love and hope.
It's glowing now, in perfect shape.
Something tells me it will be in shambles soon enough, because more books are coming my way and Kristy just can't seem to help herself. I think she secretly enjoys giving me mini heart attacks.
I'm not even mad though. Keep'em coming. 😍

I now I'm being a softy here, but don´t let that trick you: I laughed out loud probably as many times as I´ve cried uncontrollably.
The banter between Theo and Cade, the "poke the bear" game that the guys couldn't help but play just to get a reaction out of Jameson, Breck's text exchange with her awesome sidekicks, Anniston and Von Bremen "anything but conventional" relationship (I still love it) and four Marines generally being their deliciously awesome selves.

Breck is so selfless and strong, what a gal! I wish I was half as anything she is.
Her backstory was not at all what I was expecting - spoilers-free zone - and that's just one more reason why I love Kristy.
She keeps me on my toes and takes me for a spin every time I think I figured something out.

Cade was, is and always will be mine... in some way or another.
His tortured soul, his emerald eyes, his love for Anniston, his devotion to his team.
My #Major. My #Gorgeous.
And let us not forget, still dangerously hot... everything. *swoon*
I was just trying to keep it delicate and PG. Failing miserably here, I know, but it just can't be helped. 😄

I can wait to dive back into this world and be with this family again.
I can wait to meet Anniston and Theo one more time.
I can wait to see what's in store for naughty Hayes and I WILL NOT LEAVE KRISTY ALONE until every single man in that house gets his happily ever after.
I'm counting on you Kristy, don't you dare leave me hanging. 😉
And I will be here to see it all, you can count on that too.

Thank you so much for bringing this characters into my life.
Thank you for giving me the pleasure of meeting them for the first time before the rest of the world, with "Commander in Briefs".
Thank you for doing it again with this book.

I'm still not awesome at writing reviews; I wish I was okay with just writing: "Trust me, it's awesome. Jump in.", but I'm not.
I need to at least try to convey all the feelings it provoked in me, with the least amount of exposition and zero spoilers.
So, I'm sorry if you didn't find what you were looking for in this review to help you decide if you should read the book or not.
If my words are not enough, download the sample from Amazon when it goes live and read it.
I dare you to not be hooked from page one and with a goofy smile on your face.
You can certainly thank me later. Or, you know what? Don't even worry about it.
Thank Kristy. She's the one to praise.

I'm just a bookworm with a serious case of "the feels" for all things fictional and broken.

By the way, speaking of broken, I haven't forgot about Kane Kurtzman, ma´am.
Don't be a tease. Give him to me. Soon.
I'm ready for more... I think. Ok, maybe not just yet. Ah, who am I kidding? Bring it on, sister.
I'll be here, not so patiently waiting.

P.S.: Since I'm going to repeat myself here, might at well just take a quote from my "Commander In Briefs" review - pretentious much?: 😄

"If this book ever becomes a movie I think I'll die.
And audiobook? Please make it happen..."

Just putting it out there, positives thoughts and good vibes and all of that.
Maybe it'll work. Fingers crossed.

You're a rockstar, Kristy, hope you know that.
Thank You. ❤

Kristy Marie is an author that sure knows how to get you sucked into a book. I’ve had my precious Gorgeous waiting for me and after I finally started reading it I COULD NOT STOP! I devoured this gem in just a few hours and god it was so much more perfect than I imagined ♥️

I’ve been patiently waiting for Cade Jameson’s book since Commander in Briefs. And even than his character captured me. This book picks up not long after and we finally get more of Cade and that girl he saw at the market.

Breck was the sweetest. She was so relatable especially in the slight jealousy towards Cade and Anniston's relationship. This girl has been through so much, but she had so much strength in her. Enough for both her and Cade. She was also extremely patient when Cade would act like an ass but she gave back as much as she got which I loved.

Cade we already know is GORGEOUS. He is so full of hurt and shame, my poor sweet Cade. He feels he doesn't deserve to love, or the life he has but he manages to carry on due to the respect he has for Anniston. He's been in the dark for so long until Breck falls into his life and brings him back to life.

Breck and Cade together was everything. They had me constantly on the edge, flipping pages like a lunatic. Their back and forth banter and silent love/hate war worked so well for them. They had a ton of chemistry.
Gorgeous made me shed a few tears, and it made me laugh my ass off. Kristy knows how to write her characters so that they’re forever ingrained in your heart. I loved everything about this book, the slow burn, the angst, the realness of it. A 5 star read for sure!!!

"'I like the idea of hope,' I confess quietly. 'That when all feels lost, someone is out there for you, waiting to pick up and fight your wars.'"

Oh my... first, let's please talk about this cover? Because it's absolutely breathtaking. It fitted just right with Cade's story.
Anyway... After reading the first book in the series, I fell in love with the characters and let me tell you, you will too, there's no stopping the love you'll feel about these men. Anniston continues to be a badass and one of my favorites characters ever.
Even though these books are standalone, I highly recommend that everyone read the whole series because the stories become a whole lot more enjoyable, fun and you'll understand a lot more of the jokes and background characters.
So, this book was amazing. I read it in one sitting. After reading the first book I was really curious about Breck and what would happen with Cade because he has a special place in my heart.
This story will make you want to crawl into the book and hug the air out of Cade during the worst times in his life.
This book is amazing, it's a five-star read that'll make the reader be on edge the whole time, cry with the characters, laugh with their jokes and their crazy family dynamics and love the hell out of them.
I can't wait to read about the others. The next book is about Hayes and he is one of my favorites. I'm also super excited to the next release in the series! Can't wait!!! 😍
