    Kyle was an enforcer, he never expected the woman he saw being tortured to get away or that she would become his bonus.
    Kyle knew after the night they had he knew he was going to keep her, but he wanted her to stop her mannerisms she’d learnt from being a slave.
    Chloe starts to be more open with Kyle after realising after the barbeque that he won’t come after her and she start to realise he wants the real Chloe not the trained one and she’s falling in love with him.
    Kyle realises how valuable the information that Chloe has is and that she can take down an operation and knows they need more guards.
    They have some miscommunications with Kyle never having to had to explain himself and Chloe never being allowed to and Chloe thinking she was unwanted again. Chloe was happy and trying to relearn the things she had been trained to do, Kyle didn’t see what was coming and thought he had covered everything, can he save Chloe again.

    Good Morning my friends ... I have a tremendous book for you this morning! The name of the book is called "THE BONUS" it is by the talented author A J ADAMS....When you start reading this book -you think ok another one on violence. But once you start reading it you find that this is completely different from any others that you have. I love how the characters are so lively and so well described. The scenes in this story are laid out in precise detail- you visualize everything right before your eyes.

    I had the honor of receiving an ARC of "THE BONUS" from the talented author A J ADAMS!! In exchange for an honest opinion of their book. You are about to read mousieys very honest opinion of THE BONUS !!
    The way our author writes is very interesting, From the writing you can tell that they have done their research. This book with the characters and the scenes in the story are written so well that you can actually see and feel what actually happens in the cartel. And the lives of those that they come to love,
    I found this to be a very fast read - it is erotic to a point0 but then again it is full of suspense. You will find yourself sitting on the very edge of the page waiting for what happens next.
    The Bonus is about a man who is a hired gun and whose family is part of the cartel. He is gifted with a bonus after the last job he did. Instead of money-drugs or a one night stand. He ask for Chloe to be his bonus. Thinking that after a night of extremely great sex she will be able to escape from him. Only to realize that she is now his until he decides otherwise.
    This book /story tells of their life together and what they go through. I recommend it for those over the age of 18 that enjoy a suspense and erotic book, Mouse gives a rating of 40 out of 5 stars. NOW DRIVE AND GET YOUR COPY TODAY!! THIS IS A MUST READ AND A VERY EDGE OF YOUR SEAT READ!!

    This book captivated me from the beginning, Chloe had the strength and determination to survive against terrible odds, my admiration for this woman knew no bounds. Kyle was a man who also learned to survive, tormented by a war and a country he could no longer believe in, he turned into a assassin for his cartel brother in Mexico. Alone they were tormented but together they forged a bond of love that would last forever. I had read this book previously but thoroughly enjoyed it a second time in order to write this review.

    Wow!! What a book!!

    I received this book to read and write a review for it from the author. If you're looking for a dark, gritty read that has a soft centre, then this is it. I absolutely loved Chloe's character, she is brave, strong, laugh out loud funny but also has the girl inside her who just wants to be herself and not what anyone else wants her to be. Kyle is maniacal in his element with brutal murders and the likes, with a dark history and an even shadier present, but damn that man has a soft side and its that side that made me melt. He may be nuts when on a job but out with and around Chloe............ well read for yourself to find out. The sex scenes are blisteringly hot, like lava hot, aided by the chemistry that these two characters have. This was an awesome read for me personally, I loved every page and kept turning to find out what happens next. The attention to detail was incredibly intricate, you could just imagine the scenes as they unfolded and the places where they were. There was parts I gasped at, laughed at, fanned my face at and ultimately swooned at. This book is not for the faint hearted due to the graphic violence in it, but if its you're thing, then do not hesitate to get this book. If you are contemplating reading a gritty read, then this would be an excellent starter. You will not be disappointed.

    An incredible read that had me hooked from the very first page. Chloe is strong, sassy, intelligent and a sense of humour that has clearly helped her cope with the traumatic life she has had to deal with. Kyle is tough, cold and murderer is just his usual job description. Despite this you cannot help but like him and desperately want a HEA for them both. I love raw, gritty books but was a little shocked at the opening scene involving the ice block, a noose and a group of laughing men all wanting to have some 'fun'!
    I stumbled across AJ Adams book 'Degas Girl' by accident and loved it so much that I searched for other books by this author and couldn't believe I had not come across her previously (I live and breathe 'kindle'). A very talented writer. I am desperate for her next book!

    This book has been on my radar to read for quite some time, but somehow or other I just got around to it.

    It was worthwhile.

    Chloe and Kyle were an interesting pair to read about. Chloe was complex, strong, and interesting She had been through hell in her past, and you saw remnants of what she'd gone through during her time with Kyle. I do, however, think it was highly unrealistic how quickly she seemed to go from being terrified of certain people to able to laughingly tell them off. Somehow, all her fears subsided within minutes, which made zero sense to me! It also got annoying how she kept saying things like, "I made a pun. Get it?" (Yes, we certainly did get it the first fifty times you said the same thing. Thanks!) But, overall, I enjoyed her.

    I wish Kyle had been a little more developed, but he was good to Chloe after she'd spent so many years going through hell, so I suppose that was good enough

    It made a change in this style of novel to have a heroine that was so independent and bold, and a hero that did not compromise his "badness" while falling in love. Great balance of gritty darkness and satisfying emotional drama as the suspense builds successfully towards the conclusion. I appreciated that this was a stand alone novel as I am growing tired of similar stories being released by other authors over several months.
