I was minding my own business at my new job as a child life specialist when the sexiest doctor in the hospital fell into my lap... literally.

He was every woman’s fantasy, the Adonis in a white coat was charming, not to mention brilliant.

Dr. Andrew “Drew” Montgomery was quite the catch, not the usual type of guy who I’d expect to fall for a woman like me.

The first man who saw past my wheelchair, Drew was also the first man I could see myself settling down with.

We started dating, and everything seemed fine, but something was holding him back, Drew was married to his job and he carried the weight of his namesake. A name I wasn’t sure I could live up to.

I meant to keep my guard up, but it was no use. I was in over my head the moment his gorgeous blue eyes thoroughly examined me.

I knew my body was in good hands, but could I trust my heart with the cocky doctor?

Samantha Lind is a new to me author and after reading this book I know I will be reading more in the future. I didn’t know what to expect going into this book and it was a great surprise.

Megan has faced challenges all her life, but I love that she doesn’t let anything hold her back. She lives her life to the fullest. After spending a lot of time in hospitals growing up she knew she wanted to work in one, specifically helping children. Now, she has landed that dream job. What she doesn’t expect a certain doctor. Drew is a children’s cardiac doctor. He loves his job. His brother was his inspiration when it came to a career choice and he wants to continue helping children the way doctors helped his brother. His focus has always been his career and his patients, however, from the moment he falls into Megan’s lap there was something that changed.

I loved Drew. He was sweet, swoony, kind, loving, pretty much perfect. I love how he was with Megan. He never once treated her differently. He took everything into consideration when it came to Megan and it was sweet. Megan, I love her, too. I love that she doesn’t let anything hold her back. Plus, her excitement over life is contagious. The chemistry between Megan and Drew is fantastic and the fact that she understands that his patients are important and that sometimes they do have to come to first is amazing.

Cocky Doc is a MUST READ!

hmmmmmmmm

While I cannot say I did not enjoy the story, I also have to be perfectly honest and say it was a little on the boring side because there was no conflict between our leads. The opportunity was there, multiple times, but the author made a choice to make it easy for them. That’s great. The story is solid and well written. But I can’t help but wonder why the author would make it so easy on them as a couple yet have plot points in the story that would normally cause some sort of conflict even in real life …. Hence, the hmmmmmm lol

Sidenote: I've been told I need to be clearer about the no conflict thing so ... There is a situation in the book that takes up a huge amount of the book that is a conflict but it has nothing to do with the romance journey between Drew and Megan.

This was an okayish book.. i just felt something was missing between Megan and Drew.. it was pretty slow.. I didnt connect with their relationship because they were always working and when they had a moment or something and would be interrupted by work or talking about work heck most of this book is about work.. . I get it you both are doctors dealing with lots of big things.. but could have separated that work life and home life I wanted them more hot and heavy more focused on them. :/ and I know he's a awesome doctor.. but lord.. did we need a 6 week separation for him to do doctors without boarders?
Which was sad because i don't think i read a wheelchair character before and wanted more for them in that department. :( the characters were great just..wish it was more..I had high hopes for this book.

No ow/om drama, No cheating, sexy times, no virgins (talked about their past relationship)

This one left me feeling dissatisfied and indifferent. I didn't hate it but I also didn't love it or even enjoy it that much. The story itself was a little boring and the characters felt very bland. I think the main issue was that so much time was skipped between scenes and some important scenes were skipped because of that. The story constantly skipped a week here, a month there; almost every chapter was started with some sort of time jump, even small ones. And then we'd hear what happened between the characters in that time but we didn't get to actually see them together much. So the end result was a story that felt very rushed and unfinished and I didn't actually see any romance between the characters.

I haven't read a book like this before. I had to say that Megan was a superhero for me. I loved her character.
Megan was a Child Life Specialist who works at the hospital with kids keeping their spirits up. She also has Cerebral Palsy and in a wheelchair, so she is perfect for the job. So what she doesn't expect to happen is to litealy have a man fall in her lap 😊
Drew is a children's cardiac doctor. He is young, single and works to much. But from the minute he met Megan his thinking maybe it's time to take some time for himself.

This was a sweet and swoony romantic story. Like I said Megan was a superhero. And Drew oh my he was the sweetest ever. And the two of them together will make you fall in love with this story from the start to the end💖😊

Cocky Doc was a story that gripped me from the start, one that gave me much more than I expected. As much as I loved it, I couldn’t quite bring myself to round my three-point-five-star rating up to a four-star rating.

I think what stopped me from rounding this one up is that the characters fell into the romance extremely quickly, and I wanted to watch thing develop a bit more first. Add in the fact that the ending felt very quick, and I feel the middle was the strongest. I adored things between the characters, I loved how much was included, but I feel it started and ended a bit too quickly and I would have liked a wee bit more from both.

Although it wasn’t quite enough for me to round the rating up, I was hooked on this.

Another great addition to the Cocky Hero Club series. Loved Megan and Drew. Great characters and a great storyline. You will be captivated from page one as with all of her books. She has a way to bring the characters to live and this book was no exception Can’t wait to read more from this author.

I read an early review copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

This was a super good read.

Megan is a strong woman who doesn’t let her disability hold her back. Drew is swoon worthy and the hot doctor. I loved the relationship they had with each other.

I’m not gonna say much more about the story. I will say I thoroughly enjoyed this story and can’t wait to read more from this author.

This book touched my heart in such sweet ways. It was such a beautiful story. It was not at all what I was expecting. The blurb tells a lot so I don’t really want to get into more of the book except to say it was such a nice change of pace. Samantha did her homework. I can honestly say I got an education and although I did feel empathy for Megan, I never felt pity. Megan is a strong woman. She pretty much knows what she wants. Drew is better than Dr. McDreamy. He has his issues but then again who doesn’t.
I read this book in one sitting. I would’ve loved it to go even longer. I enjoyed the secondary characters. To say I fell in love with Mack would be an understatement. You will too!
This book brings the smiles, the sweet, the tears, the cocky, and the heat!
After reading this book I actually wanted to visit a place I never really had a desire to go to before (although when you read it I’m pretty sure I’m in the minority on not having wanted to visit before). The description was ethereal.
If you’re looking for a lovely “meet cute’” and romance that that brings all the feels this may book for you!

This author was a new to me author and I didn't know what to expect but after reading this cocky hero book, oh my, I really enjoyed it and I will look out for this authors work in the future because this book was freaking awesome. This book is a real must read and it deserves every single star you have and everyone should read it.

Megan has had some challenges in her life but has tried not to let any of it hold her back, she herself has spent most of her time in and out of hospital so when she gets her dream job working with children at the hospital it is a dream come true. Megan is a strong, inspiring beautiful woman and really makes Drew work for her affections and I love how they are together and I loved watching the journey that these two take.

Drew ' Dr Montgomery' is the hot and sexy pediatric doctor and is awesome with the child patients in the hospital. His brother inspired him to become a doctor and its a job he loves. One day while at work he isn't looking where he is going and little does he know that that is the day that his life changes forever. Drew wants more in his life and the chemistry that he has with Megan he thinks that she is great, she has really turned his head.

This book had my emotions all up and down and I felt like I could really relate to Megan and all what she has gone through because I also have been through something similar in my life and I felt this author has written this book fantastically and researched well and I literally couldn't put it down. I loved how this author has written her characters and how the reader can really connect with them, I loved them both and I loved the banter from Drew and how easy going he is and I loved how he is with Mack too its very sweet. This book was a fantastic written book that I loved reading every single page and the story flows and is very easy to follow.
This book is part of the cocky hero collection and is a fabulous installment in this series and I defiantly recommend everyone read it.

This book is expected 19th July 2020.

I didn't want this book to end. Some of my favourite books so far from this world have all been inspired by British Bedmate. Now I have another favourite inspired by this novel.

Lind has written a sweet romance between a doctor and a CLS who met by chance when he literally crashes into her. Megan is a sweetheart, she isn't afraid of her limitations , she is a go getter. She was perfect for her role as CLS and I loved that everyone saw that she was perfect for the role. She was the rock in this novel and I love that everyone saw past the obvious.

It's not the typical meidcal romance and whilst they are colleagues they are pretty professional. I love the insight Lind gave into both of their roles allowing both of them to appreciate their partner's job.

There was no hold backs in this romance, Lind was honest in the way she created Megan. Megan may live life differently but it didn't stop her from having fun in the bedroom.

I wouldn't really call Drew cocky, he knows he is good but he is so sweet to Megan. He self sabotage himself in their relationship. He questions whether Megan will stay by him saying he works to hard. Megan knew the lifestyle and she was the rock in this relationship. She always pushed for him to be better and realise what he was doing to their relationship.

It was sweet and fun , something different without being forced in your face. Lind has a talent for writing strong characters like Megan who we need more of.

I absolutely adored this book! If I could give it 10 stars, I would! This book was one of those simple, sweet, perfectly imperfect romances that always make my emotions run crazy, make me so happy that I want to shed a tear or two. An absolute must read for everyone!

Drew is the kind of guy every girl wants. Hardworking, giving, smart, generous, and hotter than hot! He is happy with his life, but knows he wants more. Even so, he is content to wait for the right one to show up.

Megan has had to overcome a lot in her life. But she has used those hard times to come out even stronger. She has made them work for her, and is living her best life. And now she is on to a new adventure. Just out of college, new job, new home. She is ready to set the world on fire, and help others along the way!

I love that this book is about a realistic couple. I love that they aren't perfect, and that they have real people problems. I love that life hasn't been all roses and sunshine for them, but they are still making the best of it. I love that they are turning their hardships into ways to help others' lives better. I just plain loved this book! There isn't another way to say it, it was just that perfect!!!!!

Meh?

Props to the author for never using “wheelchair bound” or “confined/suffers from” it felt like there was very little actual plot. I thought Mack would be more of a central character that drove some more action. Most of the chapters just consisted of “she transferred from the couch to her chair and from her chair to the bed.” Then they had sex which was great; lots of books with disability shy away from including the details that you’d find in any other romance where the couple was able bodied. The stuff in between, like constantly mentioning he carried her to the bathroom, fine maybe once but it got to the point where I just felt like the author was giving us a stalkerish detailed, almost clinical insight into their schedule rather than giving us an interesting storyline. Not much in the way of character development and the writing felt a bit novice but again I give props to the author for not making any of the typical grievances, playing out offensive stereotypes of the disability community.

Cocky Doc was a sweet story with a lot of heart. Drew and Megan both work at a hospital and meet when he literally trips over her wheelchair and falls into her lap. They become quick friends and it turns romantic.

Megan was a sweet character. She had multiple sclerosis and while she could walk, she found being in a wheelchair gave her freedom to get around easier. What a refreshing point of view. She was strong and confident in herself and she was a supportive partner to Drew.

Drew was a top pediatric cardiologist and it would have been easy for him to be cocky and full of himself, but he was the opposite. He was kind and caring and had a beautiful heart.

The relationship that Megan and Drew had was so mature. They discussed any doubts they had and worked through them together. I loved how they were each able to follow their dreams and still maintain their relationship.

This book showcases a strong partnership and a lovely romance between two caring adults. No angst, no drama. Just good old fashioned romance!

Cocky Doc is a sweet and beautiful emotional romance read! It is light on the drama and the characters are WONDERFUL! Megan is strong AF and personally my new hero, when handsome Drew LITERALLY falls into her lap, she has no idea what is coming her way!

This was light and sweet but full of chemistry! Neither character is perfect, but maybe they will be what the other needs- Read to find out! I give it 4 outta 5 stars and definitely recommend it anyone that wants a book full of emotions and sweet moments!

PS: Thank you to Samantha Lind, Cocky Hero Club, and Give Me Book PR for allowing me an advanced copy of the book to read and review honestly.

Most of the cocky hero books I've read have had some type of drama or angst in them so it was refreshing to read this story. I loved it! Sweet, romantic with characters who were mature and not full of themselves. Drew is a top notch doctor and Megan works at the same hospital he works at. Even though she's in a wheelchair, she doesn't let that stop her from enjoying life. It was so nice to read their story of falling in love and how they handled things. This is a book that hooked me from the first page! This is also a book I will definitely reread in the future!

I really enjoyed this book. There was basically no drama or angst. Just two people who bumped into each other at work at the hospital and began a slow relationship. I loved what Megan did for a living. She was a bright spot in the family’s life during a tense time while the kids where in the hospital. And of course Drew was an amazing pediatric heart surgeon. Megan understood Drew’s love for his career and the fact that his patients were his priority.

These two were just perfect for each other. Highly recommend this book.

This really was a beautiful story and totally not what I was expecting which I loved about it. Megan was a strong woman who knew what she wanted in life, never letting her disability get in the way then there’s Dr Drew, hot, sexy, hardworking and smart, happy with what he’s got in life but knows he wants more, what more could a woman want?

A brilliantly written story about a perfectly imperfect couple dealing with real life and real problems what more can I say? Well I loved it, I reckon you will too so get reading NOW!!!

5 Star Review Cocky Doc by Samantha Lind
Samantha Lind is a new author to me and why I have not come across her before I have no idea. After reading this book Cocky Doc, I will be rectifying this as soon as possible.
I was intrigued by the blurb for this book and jumped at the opportunity to read and review. This was such a beautifully written story that had me riveted from start to finish.
I fell hard and fast for Dr. Andrew “Drew” Montgomery, he was totally swoon worthy and I loved Megan. I cannot remember the last time I read a book where either the hero or heroine was in a wheelchair.
The fact that Drew saw Megan for who she is, a beautiful, loving, strong woman who happened to spend most of her time in her wheelchair was fabulous. I loved that they were able to be partners not only at work but also in life. Their support and growing love for one another made this a heart warming story that I did not want o end.
This is one of my favourite books this year, one click this little gen I don’t think you will be disappointed.

A sweet, feel good story, you will wonder where you can find a man like Drew. He is genuine, caring and just the perfect amount of sexiness rolled into one. Megan is a strong and independent woman who cares so much for those around her. This is a heartwarming story from beginning to end, that will cause you to chuckle at times and feel all the warm, fuzzy feelings that only a beautiful love story can give you.

A lovely addition to the Cocky Hero Club.
Megan and Drew are the perfect example of not looking for love but it finding you. When you least expect it someone comes into your life and you soon realize that they need to be a part of it no matter how hard the journey may be. They have many obstacles to overcome with this relationship but when you are meant to be fate and destiny are on your side! A beautiful love story.

Oh be still my heart, this is exactly what you want and need in a beautiful romance story!

Andrew and Megan are truly strong characters alone, but put them together and you have a dynamite couple.

I have to really dive into my feelings about this book, as I am seriously in love. I was a teachers assistant to many children between the age of 2-20 at school which specializes in CP. Ms. Lind is spot on with her facts that pertain to this disability.

If you are looking for a beautiful story that will pull at every single emotion you have, this is it! Thank you so much for giving us this beautiful story! You have show the beauty of love through the eyes of an amazing heroine who did not let life keep her confined to her chair, she found love in all the things in her life!

This was more emotional than I was expecting. And there were times where I was thinking that I was more interested in their jobs, rather than their relationship. There wasn't really any conflict between them, and it made their story seem a bit boring to me. Besides the patients, it was the audiobook narration that saved this one for me. Without that, I'm not sure that I would have finished, as I just wasn't into them as a couple.

Sweet Doc and his leading lady

I wouldn't say Drew is exactly cocky but this Doc is definitely a keeper. It has nothing to do with money, family, or any of that stuff. He is legitimately one of the nicest, sweetest, and fun people. He's kind, caring, and loves kids. Seriously, the fact no one has managed to steal his heart is mind boggling.

Lucky for Megan though, he fell right into her lap. Or maybe its truly lucky for Drew... Either way Cocky Doc will make you smile.

ARC for honest review with no compensation

Cocky Doc by Samantha Lind a new to me author and part of the Cocky HeroWorld series by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward.

Megan and Drew both work for the hospital and in Pediatrics. He a doctor and she a Child Life Specialist who also has a disability which helps her relate to the children. Working together, no conflicts between them makes this a refreshing story of helping children deal with life’s ups and down while they find a love everlasting.

What a beautifully written book. This is the first time reading a book by this author.

This book had me hooked from the first chapter. I read this book in one sitting. This book tugs on the heart strings - in a good way.

It was great to see that Megan and Drew (Andrew) were able to be partners at work and partners in love. They both were able to follow their dreams with each others support. A true partnership.

This book has chemistry, family, friends and love.

This was a 5 star read for me. I was given a ARC of this book for an honest review.

What a sweet book! No angst, no drama just two beautiful people and the story of how they fall in love.

Drew the hotshot pediatric cardiologist should be an egomaniac but he isn’t, he has a huge heart that is just waiting for the right girl. In rolls Megan in her wheelchair, and she literally has Drew tripping over his heart and right into her arms, well it was her lap but you know what that means.

This story shows two strong loyal individuals falling in love, you don’t have to root for them because you can see how perfect they are for each other and how their storybook romance will play out and all you need to do is just sit back and enjoy the ride.
