    Mother Clucker takes us into the Cocky Hero World of The original Cocky Bastard and this story had me enamored right from the start. From the sass to the witty remarks David and Heather will have you crowing with laughter. The banter, chemistry and a rooster kept me entertained and thoroughly happy throughout this story. As these two give in to the attraction and flirting will miscommunication, phone chargers and distance finally be too much for them to overcome. A story that even though having a few tense and unsure moments, will leave you with a huge smile on your face as Rowdy and Pixie just might steal the show. This addition to the cocky hero club is one that has just the right amount of passion, steam, drama and amusement to leave you completely and utterly in love.

    Mother clucker captivated me from the very first scene, I loved that you got to experience the banter between Heather and David from the get go. I loved their love for Rowdy the Rooster, and the snide remarks made when their relationship is developing. It's sweet, funny and a enjoyable read from the very beginning until the end. A fine addition to the club!

    Cocka-doodle-doooo mother cluckers! Whilst this is part of the Cocky Hero Club world, it is totally a standalone - and a fund and enjoyable one at that.

    Heather and David butt heads (but aren't buttheads) from the minute they met,and it is a sure fire sign that opposites do attract.

    And who would have guessed that a rooster could bring true love lol.

    David is kinda grumpy when it comes to Heather. Heater is full on hate for David. But beneath all that, you can feel the attraction between them, that push/pull that is going to not just create sparks, but a full on fire.

    I loved seeing my favourite fictional goat again - it's been a while since I read Cocky Bastard, and Pixy is the best. I have wanted a goat ever since reading that book lol.

    Mother Clucker is a rom-com that had me turning each page, needing to know what our lovelies were up to next.

    OH, and now, to go with the goat I have wanted for years, I also want a rooster to be its best friend.

    Mother Clucker by Cat Johnson is a standalone romance novel that is a part of the Cocky Hero Bookclub. This book was a fun, light-hearted read that was enjoyable and easy. The book had relatable main characters, funny sidekick animals and hilarious secondary characters. Mother Clucker follows Heather a funny, animal enthusiast, house sitter and PR assistant and David the CEO of a dog food company. They meet unexpectedly at the gas station and the flirty banter begins, right from the start their chemistry is palpable and I throughly enjoyed their first interaction together. From there it only gets better with the introduction of a wily rooster, secondary characters that enhance the story and a well developed plot. Overall, I would highly recommended this book to any animal lover or romance fan that is looking for a lighthearted, fun read .

    Mother Clucker is a very well written romantic comedy. Quite simply, the characters, the plot and setting is just fantastic and it absolutely works. David and Heather are adorable and I fell in love with them immediately. The plot is engaging and creates opportunities that keep David and Heather interacting. It was enthralling how their chemistry becomes all encompassing.
    Overall, a sassy, teasing, sweet and charming read that will have your heart melting as much as heat things up to combusting while providing a HEA too.

    This is my first read by Cat Johnson and I loved it! The banter between Heather and David was funny and the chemistry between the two of them are off the charts! Now, add in Rowdy the rescued rooster that has a way with ladies. I was really entertained with this addition to the Cocky Hero Club series. I loved everything about it; seeing Aubrey, Chance and Pixy (from one of my favorite books Cocky Bastard), the side characters Drew and Lucy, the main characters Heather, David, and Rowdy. Cat wrote a fantastic romance that had me laughing and swooning the entire time. I will be checking out more of Cat's books to read soon.
