It's been a hot second since I read a Lynn Rate Harris book and I totally forgot how addictive they are. Why has it been a hot minute? I have no idea and I plan on having a small binge on the rest of this series because I honestly can't believe I haven't read it yet considering how much I've loved all her other series.
I was immediately drawn in to this story, even though this is the first book I read in this series. Zane is in Vegas for his little sister's 21st birthday. While there, he meets a woman that immediately enraptures him. The surprise is that after a wild night together, they end up married. Whoopsy!
Eden has spent most of her life in the shadow of her vivacious sister. Her insecurities have insecurities, but there was something so endearing about her, that something that would usually bother me, barely blipped my radar. Eden has been secretly in love with her sister's now fiancé for as long as she's worked for him. But when she meets the enigmatic Zane who oozes danger and sex appeal, she's basically all Mitchell who? And I don't blame her one bit.
Zane is shut down to love because a woman who he believed was the love of his life broke his heart years ago. And now he's trying to make sense of the fact that she wants him back. But he's also accidentally married to a woman who much to his effort otherwise, draws him in like no other. And when Eden's life is in danger, he'll stop at nothing to protect her.
This was a quick read full of action, suspense, and all the steam you can wish for. I read it in a sitting. And while I had moments where I wanted to shake the insecurity out of Eden and slap the "love isn't for me" out of Zane, I still enjoyed the story quite a bit.
Highly recommend for any fans of steamy romantic suspense with uber protective alphas and females who bring them to their knees.

I just love Ms. Harris's writing! While I'm sad to see the Strike Team 2 series end, I'm super excited to read whatever happens next in her HOT universe. (no spoilers here, but you must read the epilogue!)
I did love that the team came together for one more mission on the page to rescue Eden and her sister. It felt a little like a reunion, but it was still all about Zane and Eden's story.
A case of marrying on impulse--trusting your gut and your heart and your hormones... and then letting your brain get in the way, with second thoughts and past traumas making Zane & Eden each believe that they weren't cut out for marriage and happily-ever-afters. Some steamy sex, plenty of suspense and action, but it was all about their emotional journey for me. I loved it!

HOT Honor is one of my favorite books ever from Lynn Raye Harris! This book gave me all the happy feels with the romance, and kept me on the edge of my seat with the suspense portion of the book. I was so excited to see Zane "Zany" Scott meet his match in Eden Hall.
I loved Zane and Eden's romance. Eden is in Vegas to celebrate with her twin sister Abby and friends, and Zane is in Vegas to watch over his little sister on her 21st birthday celebration. When Eden is attacked in the elevator, Zane comes to her rescue and they end up spending lots of time together getting drunk, and then deciding to get married. I laughed so hard when they woke up the morning after married and not really happy about the situation.
When Zane comes to her house after they return home, they decide they will continue to be married until they can divorce, and because of his security clearance, she will have to come to HOT headquarters to be briefed about his team. I liked that Zane seemed to want to be with Eden, even though he was honest from the beginning that he never planned to be married, or want to stay married at this time. However, when Eden's boss is shot and then someone takes a shot at Eden later, Zane's protective instincts kick in, and he vows to keep her safe until the shooter is found.
I absolutely loved Zane and Eden together. They had the most amazing chemistry from day one. I loved how Zane lifted Eden up and told her over and over again how sexy she is to him and had me swooning as he described how beautiful he found her freckles. There were lots of smoking hot sexy times between Zane and Eden, but when they just did the simple things for each other, I just fell so much in love with them as a couple.
The suspense portion of HOT Honor was strong. I did suspect who was being the shootings pretty early in the story, but second guessed myself a few times. There is just something about those HOT guys going out to save the women they love that gets me every single time. Eden and Zane's story is absolutely one of my favorite stories from Lynn Raye Harris. I loved spending time with Strike Team #2, and can't wait to see where Ms. Harris takes us in future books.
Both Samantha Cook and Gregory Salinas did amazing jobs with the audiobook for HOT Honor. I truly felt like there was a seamless transition between narrators, and I was never pulled out of the story as each voiced the characters of the opposite sex. The HOT series has a pretty large cast of characters, and I felt like both narrators did a fantastic job differentiating between all the men and women in the book. HOT Honor in audio is one of my favorites ever from Lynn Raye Harris

I am sorry that this is the end of the line for this group of operators but what an end it was. In this installment we get Zane and Eden's story.
Zane, on leave to Vegas to celebrate his sister's birthday saves a woman from being assaulted and has an instant attraction to her. After a night of too many drinks he wakes the next morning and finds that not only did he have an amazing night with her but the pair got married and they lived near each other. At first the pair decides to get a divorce but then circumstances occur and Zane ends up protecting Eden. All while this is going on, Zane's ex is constantly contacting him and wanting to get back together with him despite still being married causing his some mixed feelings.
Enter Eden. She is in Vegas to celebrate the upcoming nuptials of her sister to the man that Eden not only works for but also feels that she is in love with herself. She has some inferiority issues as well as self image issues that she battles throughout the book. While working on a case with her boss both are attacked and she goes with Zane for protection. While under Zane's protection she struggles with her feelings for her boss as well as the jealousy she has toward Zane's ex while slowly realizing that she loves Zane.
So this pair had instant chemistry and attraction. Where it was not love at first sight I guess we could call it a little slow burn to their feelings. As usual this was an action packed read as we get to the bottom of the attacks on Eden and those around her. Sprinkle in some hot times between the pair and the reappearance of Zane's HOT team mates and we get one great read. I will say that the characters did well with dealing with their issues with their pasts making them relatable. I also have to say that the little twist in the epilogue leaves me anxious to see what is to come.
Overall, this was a great read that moved along well and had me hooked to the story. I in the end would recommend this book to others.

‘Honor bespeaks worth’ is one of my favorite quotes, and it goes well with this story, because truly the honor that Zane shows as he handles what begins as a mistake and because a treasured moment shows his worth. I loved every moment, even the ones where I screamed and cried, as I read Zane and Eden’s story of lust, missed opportunities, danger, and ultimately a love that changed them both for the better. Zane has been broken for so long, he doesn’t know how to love, but Eden has pulled at him from the first moment their eyes connected, and the more they are together the harder it is to deny that she might just be the one woman he can’t live without. Eden knows that she isn’t a beauty queen, but Zane makes her feel like the most beautiful woman in the world, and there is no denying that she is falling deeper and deeper for the big, protective, sexy man that has swept her off her feet. Together they will do everything in their power, along with Zane’s HOT family, to protect Eden and her sister against and unknown enemy, but they don’t have a lot of time before that enemy makes his move and ultimately decides their fates for them. The passion and heat between these two was explosive and I was almost sad that we didn’t get to see more of their wedding night in action with them, instead of just in flashbacks, but oh well, and I know that the heat between them won’t be fading any time soon. I am dying to see more of Zany and his Eden in future stories as Harris has hinted at the possibility of a new spinoff series and of course there is at least one more HOT member that needs his own story and the Black Bandits are still out there running around the world as well. Harris never ceases to keep me entertained and on the edge of my seat as she creates characters and plots that are impossible to predict and that I’m helpless to put down.

The story takes an intriguing turn when Eden, plagued by her own self-esteem issues, impulsively says yes to a drunken marriage proposal. From this point forward, this story that drew me into the lives of her characters. The inclusion of Merlin, Eden's feline companion, adds a sweet touch to the story. A memorial from Lynn.

I loved Zane and Eden's love story in Hot Honor by Lynn Raye Harris, book eight and the final book in her Hostile Operations Team: Strike Team Two series; a tale of unexpected love and suspense that will grab you from page one and not let go until you turn the last one. This is one HOT book you’re not going to want to miss it.

No matter how long it’s been since the last HOT book, Lynn never fails to make it incredibly easy to just fall right back into this world.
Zane and Eden do the stereotypical Vegas thing, and get married after a night of drinking. Because why not? Well little did they know that was going to be the best decision of their lives.
Both Zane and Eden have their own past relationship issues to go through, but they’ve got each other throughout the entire process.
I think what I really loved about this book was how Zane and Eden’s emotions were conveyed and how they never made each other feel less for still being hung up on their ex.
But while they’re trying to figure out how to coexist, get over their ex’s and file for divorce, someone decides to take some shots at Eden. Obviously Zane being a HOT operator means he becomes protective of her and feelings grow.
This is one HOT book you’re not gonna want to miss, especially after that snippet at the very end (we’ll get to that in a few)!!
If you love angst, and pining and jealousy and confused main characters and action and protective males, then this is definitely the book for you.

Zane & Eden
Zane, the last HOT single man. He is a warrior and never does anything crazy, always in control. He goes to Vegas to celebrate his sister, Mia’s 21st birthday and also to make sure Mia and her friends don’t get into trouble.
Eden is in Vegas with her sister attending Abby’s bachelorette party. Eden is not a party animal and prefers to stay in her hotel room after Abby and her friends leave to bar hop. Zane unexpectedly finds himself in a position to rescue Eden from a jerk assaulting her in the hotel elevator, and so it begins.
Zane finds Eden sweet and sexy, but she has no idea of her allure. She’s smart but introverted and very self conscious. Zane sees none of the flaws she claims to have. A great idea leads to an invitation to enjoy a drink together and has both imbibing in a little too much tequila which just adds to the immediate chemistry they both experience. The second great idea they have is to get married! What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas, right? Nope.
I just love the instant attraction Zane feels for Eden. He loves her auburn hair and freckles and her personality is engaging. Eden is so self conscious of her appearance, she doesn’t believe Zane’s interest is real. She does notice how hot he is and secretly craves his attention.
I love how Zane jumps right in to protect Eden when bullets start flying and he stays by her side through all the danger and mystery. He is determined to keep Eden and her sister safe.
A captivating and thrilling HOT romance. Lots of heartfelt ribbing from Strike Team 2 members and even more riveting action. The HOT world never disappoints with each new adventure. Love this!
Zane, the last HOT single man. He is a warrior and never does anything crazy, always in control. He goes to Vegas to celebrate his sister, Mia’s 21st birthday and also to make sure Mia and her friends don’t get into trouble.
Eden is in Vegas with her sister attending Abby’s bachelorette party. Eden is not a party animal and prefers to stay in her hotel room after Abby and her friends leave to bar hop. Zane unexpectedly finds himself in a position to rescue Eden from a jerk assaulting her in the hotel elevator, and so it begins.
Zane finds Eden sweet and sexy, but she has no idea of her allure. She’s smart but introverted and very self conscious. Zane sees none of the flaws she claims to have. A great idea leads to an invitation to enjoy a drink together and has both imbibing in a little too much tequila which just adds to the immediate chemistry they both experience. The second great idea they have is to get married! What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas, right? Nope.

I enjoyed this book. I found the main couple relatable. My only complaint was that it had me questioning at times if I’d read the book already, but then there would be a scene that went in a totally different direction than I remembered. I finally figured out that it is just a very similar plot to a couple of other books I’ve read. However, it did deviate eventually to the point it was obviously a different story.
I’m not complaining because the other books got rated highly as well! I just can’t give 5 stars for that reason.
I liked the chemistry between Zane and Eden. Eden’s sister irritated me though. For the one who was supposed to be the most liked, she had few qualities I found likable. She was whiny and fell apart at the drop of a feather. She was a very supportive sister though and did give Eden some good advice. I would like to have seen just a little more of Mitchell, but I get that it was not Gabby and Mitchell’s story.
Eden was a very strong willed heroine in spite of her hang ups and lack of self confidence. Zane was the perfect match to help her get past her insecurities. I like that it didn’t happen instantly and even after the HEA, she still struggled a little, but she vastly improved.
Poor Shade is now the lone holdout for a permanent relationship. I loved the setup for the next series at the end. Poor Ghost got the shock of his life, and I could’ve shot Gen. Mendez for the way he delivered the news. I’m excited to start reading the first book next! I can honestly say Lynn Raye Harris had never disappointed me, not even with my least favorite book in the series! Solid 4 stars for Zany, aka Mr. Perfect” and Eden. Solid 5 Stars for H.O.T. overall.

While at the bar, he watches a firey red headed dancing on the floor. Zane heads to the elevators and sees a woman being forced inside. He saves her and offers to take her to her floor but she decides she wants a drink.
Eden Hall works as a paralegal at a prestigious law firm. She's a red haired, freckled, green eyed beauty but she doesn't see herself that way. She has been in love with her boss for two years but he is marrying her fraternal twin sister. She is in Las Vegas for her sister's bachelorette party when she sees the sexy Zane. Thinking he is taken, she goes about her business until he saves her.
They get drunk. Zane was hurt when his girlfriend cheated on him and has sworn off love. Eden thinks she loves her boss and will become an old maid with many cats. So they decide to get married to get back at the people in their lives. After waking the next morning, they talk and decide to get divorced but it'll take a little while.
After they get home, Zane shows up at Eden's house and tells her its best to pretend to be married until the divorce is final. When Eden's boss is shot and then she is shot at at her house, Zane puts her under his protection while they figure out what's going on. But when Eden and her sister are kidnapped right out of Zane's home and he realizes what she means to him, he'll stop at nothing to get his woman back.
I loved this story. Eden is an introvert and there was a passage that I absolutely can relate to. " I never know what to say when I meet new people, beyond the usual platitudes about being happy to meet everyone. I get anxious about saying the wrong thing or looking awkward. Which probably makes me more awkward.” That is me to a T. Mystery. Sex. Miscommunication. Zane doesn't go looking for his "ride or die" person but finds her anyway.

I’ve been a fan of Lynn Raye Harris’s HOT series books since 2013. I followed the series avidly (possibly rabidly??) until I fell into the world of book blogs and reviewers. She cemented herself early on in my discovery of ebooks as a romantic suspense author, one of whom I really enjoyed her writing style and voice. So when I started wondering what I had missed, I promptly hit her backlist to catch up. IMHO, you could pick any of her books and not be disappointed. She’s at the top of my favorite romantic suspense authors list for a reason and has been for many years now. Catching up on her backlist took maybe a week (I totally binged all the books I’d missed), and since then, I’ve kept up with her new releases. Thank goodness for newsletters and reader groups!
Lynn Raye Harris consistently delivers characters with depth, bravery, loyalty, and heart, which holds true with HOT Honor. Zane and Eden’s story is full of some frustrating moments between them (like the kind where you wish you could smack them both and tell them to pay attention), some seriously swoony moments, a good bit of mystery and suspense, and of course, some sexy times. Add in some cameos from the rest of the team and their spouses, and you have a book that I didn’t want to see end, but it wrapped up the series nicely. Even though I was able to figure out who the villain was before it was revealed, I still enjoyed the story immensely. As always, I look forward to what she brings us next.

The waking up married in Vegas trope is one of my guilty pleasures and Lynn Rae Harris put her fabulous spin on it!
Instead of one or both of the characters not recalling what happened the night before, both of them have full and regretful recollections of what took place. Neither of them are at their best the next morning, but they exchange contact info and Eden plans of figuring out what they need to do to get divorced quickly.
Zane knows he can’t hide or lie about his surprise Vegas wedding to his CO or chain of command, so he shows up on his new wife’s doorstep to discuss the situation in person. When he sees her boss, man she’s supposedly in love with is at her house, Zane gets some tingles of unexpected jealousy.
The storyline is addictive as Eden and Zane ride an emotional roller coaster of unexpected feelings. They agreed to act married while waiting to get divorced, and their chemistry and sizzling connection triggers the start of feelings neither anticipated. When danger shows up Zane steps up as a protector and his teammates are there to support him and Eden.
The storyline moves at a quick pace with some surprises as Zane and the guys work to figure out why Eden, Abby and Mitchell are in danger and from who. In addition to the danger, there is plenty of getting to know you conversations between Zane and Eden, they have sexual chemistry, but quickly develop a stronger emotional bond. Plus great appearances for the guys from Strike Team 2 and their ladies.

He quit doing relationships after she cheated on him and married someone else. But a trip to Las Vegas for his sister’s birthday ends with him waking up married to a stranger. Now he cannot get her out of his mind and when her life is at risk, he finds himself jumping in to save her.
Eden Hall was shy and always felt plain compared to her twin sister, Abby. Everyone loved Abby, even the man Eden had fallen in love with. After a few too many drinks, Eden sheds her inhibitions and finds herself married the next morning to the handsome man who had saved her the night before. Can their hasty marriage lead to something good?
This was such a great book and I loved watching Eden slowly gain self-confidence. Zane was so sweet and couldn’t understand why Eden couldn’t see herself like he did. 2 Broken hearts that were made to heal one another
In this story we meet Eden Hall who is in her own words, an introvert woman who feels like she is not as interesting or vibrant as her twin sister. She is always so quick to put herself down that your heart just goes out to this woman. To really make her story even sadder, she is secretly in love with her boss, who also just happens to be engaged to her twin sister. Ouch.
Then there’s Zane Scott. He’s in Vegas to help his younger sister celebrate her 21st birthday. Zane’s story is so frustrating because this man has an ex, that literally ripped his heart out and now keeps coming back and inflicting more pain on this guy. You just want to shake him sometimes and tell him to stop engaging with that toxic woman! To really make matters worse, she has made this poor guy no longer believe in love.
When Zane comes to Eden’s aid in Vegas, you could just tell that this guy is just what Eden needed to get her out of her head and start to believe in herself. The more time that these two spend together, you could see that both of them needed the other to help them overcome their past and Zane especially needs to help Eden start to gain more confidence in herself. I loved the chemistry that these two had and the way that they fought for their love for each other. Another great story in this series.

Sweet and endearing are not two words I usually use to describe books by Lynn Raye Harris, but HOT Honor definitely falls into these categories. I fell hard and fast for Eden and Zane. When it comes to finding everlasting love, both feel it's not in the cards for them as past experiences have dictated this perception. An alcohol-induced wedding in Vegas changes that, well maybe. For reasons I won't divulge here, they play the charade of a happily married couple. Or is it a game? When danger hits too close for comfort, Eden and Zane are forced to explore their feelings and decide if, despite past relationship failures, love is worth the risk.
I think so many readers will relate to Eden. She's the classic wallflower whose beauty is not conventional and who doesn't believe she'll ever be attractive to any man, especially one as hot as Zane Scott. Plus, she tends to live in the shadow of her outgoing, more beautiful twin sister Abby. What she doesn't realize is that she is beautiful inside and out.
Zane, on the other hand, thinks Eden is gorgeous and her unique beauty makes her all that more appealing. He does everything he can to convince her that his attraction is genuine. He's really a kind person and even though he's a big tough guy on the outside, he has a heart of gold.
I ate this story up because the characters are so relatable. Of course, it wouldn't be a HOT story without a little danger, and although it comes a little later in the storyline, it will keep you on the edge of your seat until the heartwarming conclusion.

The suspense will keep you on edge and the closeness of the team is evident both with how they accept Eden and how they are there when they’re needed most.
I have read every book that is connected to the HOT team and they all keep me coming back for more time and again. Recommend to all romantic suspense fans.
As always, can’t go wrong with a Lynn Raye Harris story, in which HOT Honor is a perfect example.

Too much too soon. Sure, they had a crazy night in Vegas but it's just instalust and sex out of the gate. Makes me not care about them as a couple and that's really not interesting to me.
Sad fact is I got 20% in and realized I read this before but couldn't remember a good reason why I didn't finish or rate it. Then I got to 25% and they're taking off their clothes for the 2nd fucking time STILL HAVEN'T HAD ONE REAL CONVERSATION. And I realized I need to review it so I don't end up with it a 3rd time.
Others will probably love it. I didn't. I prefer slow burn and actually seeing them being able to name things they like about each other first. And I hate giving it a negative score because the writing is fine.
I skipped to the end so I could know... just know that the end was very unsatisfying. Especially as the last book in the series. Mercenaries kidnapped the FMC and her sister... delivered them to her ex (rapist, psychotic asshole) and NOTHING HAPPENED to them. They asked for effing GPS info and let them walk on their merry fucking way, telling them to get some integrity. Make it make sense!! If I could give this shit negative stars, I would. Maybe this author sucks at writing romance. Maybe they suck at suspense. But to allow trained assholes who traffic women to be raped and slaughtered to walk free????? Hell no.

What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas….but not this time when Zane who is there for a weekend to celebrate his sister’s birthday, ends up married to a woman he just met. Eden, who is in Vegas for a bachelorette party for her twin sister, Abby, meets Zane after he saves her from a handsy attacker. The introvert twin that she is, she loosens up with Zane, having a few drinks and letting herself “go” for the first time….which leads to a ring on her finger and a hot special operator as her husband. Reality has set in on what they have done and now that they are back home the two decide to stay married, and divorce later, for Zane’s sake and his career and as well as hers….but she loves someone else and he doesn’t believe in love anymore. When an unknown starts gunning for Eden, Zane and his team will protect her like their own…or can they??
A great read with suspense, steam, surprises, and amazing characters. So, obviously what happens in Vegas doesn't always stay there! At least, that's the case for H.O.T. Special Operator, Zane, "Zaney" Scott, and Eden Hall, the woman he meets while attending his sister's bachelorette. Eden is there with her sister, someone she has always felt outshone her. In fact, she is even marrying the love of Eden's life. Zane and Eden run into each other and with a recipe of explosive chemistry, protective instincts, and alcohol, they decide what could be better than getting married. However, the morning brings regrets and they decide they have to pursue a divorce. Except Zane treats Eden in ways that say the complete opposite. He makes her feel beautiful, safe, and the attraction between them only increases. But she is in love with someone else, right? And he has no intention of being married. Of course, fate may have other plans in store for them. And when it seems like they might make a go of it, tragedy strikes and Zane knows he isn't going anywhere.
This is one of my favorite books by Lynn Raye Harris. It has just the right amount of suspense and romance. I was rooting for Zane and Eden all the way from beginning to end. I can't wait for more books with other H.O.T. guys and the women they love!

Even though it was years earlier due to the way that Zane’s relationship with his first love ended he isn’t prepared to repeat the experience. While in Vegas for his sister’s birthday he meets Eden, and a few drinks lead to a wedding ceremony. Another great story from Lynn Raye Harris! This book closes out Strike Team 2 of HOT. It is about team member Zane, who goes to Las Vegas for his little sister’s birthday and returns home married. Eden, the heroine in this story, works for and is in Las Vegas for her sister’s bachelorette party. I won’t spoil the story, but the two wake up married in Las Vegas and then have to figure out what to do next.
While this wasn’t my favorite of the HOT books (I didn’t love some of the way the plot played out - thus the 4 star rating), I did love that both Eden and Zane have baggage to work through from past relationships and other things that have happened in their lives along with the added complication of being married. Add in some danger when people start taking shots at Eden, and you have an exciting story where you might guess the culprit early (I was able to), but you won’t see the ending coming (I sure didn’t).
All in all, another great addition to the HOT series. I look forward to what team we may meet next in this world.

Hot Honor is the last book in the Strike Team 2 series , and it is a whirlwind of an ending. Lynn Raye Harris always delivers a great romantic suspense book with a happily ever after. Her characters are entertaining when they aren’t saving the world. Zane is the last single man in strike team 2. He sure didn’t plan to get married when he goes to Las Vegas with his little sister for her bachelorette party. Yet when he met Eden things just clicked. After a bunch of tequila shots getting married and a steamy wedding night seemed like a great idea. They both have past relationship hang ups. Eden has self esteem issues, and Zane makes her feel special. They play along with being married while they are getting a divorce, but feelings secretly grow in the shadow of their passionate relationship. When Eden’s life is threatened Zane won’t let anything stop him from protecting her. The team races to figure out who wants to harm Eden and her sister. I couldn’t put this book down. I’m always sad to see a series end, but the ending sets up a beginning for a new series. The anticipation is exciting!

Zane goes to Vegas to help celebrate his baby sister's 21st birthday. Eden's in Vegas to help her sister celebrate her upcoming nuptials. They've been drinking and having a great time when Zane suggests getting married. The next morning when they wake up, they realize what they've done. It's a good thing she works for a lawyer. Luckily for them, they both live in Maryland and near each other.
Zane decides to pay Eden a visit to help convince her to let the marriage be for a while since he doesn't want to have to admit to his commanding officer what he did. She agrees and they're hanging out. He decides to bring her dinner at the office one night and when her boss leaves, he gets gunned down. Thank goodness Zane is there to save him. This isn't the least of her drama. It gets worse for people near her and her. Zane refuses to leave her side and has become her armed protection.
Will he be able to keep Eden safe? Will this drama push them together or seal their fate living separate divorced lives?
I love Lynn Raye Harris's books and this one doesn't disappoint. You can enjoy this book without reading the others!

Now they have to try and untangle the mess they got themselves into whilst not infringing on Eden's hard won reputation or Zany's security clearance! Then there is the small matter of someone wanting to kill Eden! He may not want to be married but he'll make sure no-one kills his wife!
I really loved Eden. She is me - self esteem issues and all. She's confusing love with infatuation or just plain respect and using it as way to deny herself the HEA she really wants and deserves. Zane well and truly got his heartbroken when he was younger and now she's back messing with his head and his heart. Neither of these two think they are good enough for the other, or that they could possibly be what the other needs but they are absolutely perfect together.
Zane brings Eden out of her shell and let's her see the beautiful, smart, funny and wild woman he sees. Eden helps to soothe the ragged edges of Zane's heart and calms this wild warrior.

HOT Honor by Lynn Raye Harris. This is Zane and Eden's story. I love this story. Sometimes what happens in Vegas doesn't stay in Vegas. Zane was the last man standing everyone else has found someone. His past was holding him back from finding love. He went to Vegas to celebrate with his sister. He didn't know that when he was looking at the woman across the room, he was looking at his future. After Zane rescue's Eden, they get to know each other better. So much better that the next morning he woke up married to her. Then the fun begins. They thought they wanted a divorce but the more time they spent together, the stronger there attraction became and of course the sex was so good they could keep their hands off each other. Their past relationships needed to be dealt with, so that they could move on. Until Eden life was in danger and he she was gone. Then Zane realized that she was what he wanted and loved. All he know was he had to get her back. Love their story, hate to see us move on from Strike Team 2. Bring on "Ghost".

The "woke up married in Vegas" trope gets a hard workout in this one!
Zane and Eden are both typical and unique at the same time. Both are trying to overcome issues from their childhood that heavily influence their individual feelings of self-worth and how they perceive the roles they feel they are expected to play in relationships with their friends, families and co-workers. Eden felt very relatable in always feeling second best and less than worthy of love. Zane had his heart crushed by the person who was supposed to be his soulmate and left him with the belief that he was supposed go through life alone.
When they find themselves forced together to stay safe, Eden discovers that all she needed was the love of the right person to make her believe in herself and her own beauty and Zane discovers that she is his person, his ride or die, his partner.
It was nice to see some familiar faces in this book as well as a few crossovers from other units. Looking forward to more from this author.

HOT Honor: Hostile Operations Team® - Strike Team 2 by Lynn Raye Harris is a sudden Las Vegas marriage story. However, what keep me reading was the realistic feelings, doubts, and fears of the Zane and Eden as they worked through their personal demons which lead to emotional growth. What looked to be the worst decision of their lives turned out to be by the conclusion the very best decision.
Suspense, danger, hot scenes are all part of the Team’s stories but this one has a bit more heart and all the feels. You can’t help but be pulled into the lives of Zane and Eden making it a riveting read. The team and families are also on hand to help Zane, the last team man standing along find his one to stand beside him.
Recommend to all romantic suspense fans. You can’t go wrong with a Lynn Raye Harris story in which HOT Honor is a perfect example.

This was my second book by the author and I thought it was incredibly good. I loved the great writing style which immersed me in the story very quickly. Zane and Eden were two very interesting characters. I could feel the sparks flying every time the two of them met. And apart from that, I found Zane very likeable right from the start and Eden also quickly won my heart. The fantastic chemistry together with the constant tension and the many action scenes made for a very entertaining listen.
I hadn't heard the two narrators Gregory Salinas and Samantha Cook before, but their performance was outstanding. Gregory brought Zane to life exactly as I imagined him and Samantha also gave a perfect performance as the shy Eden. It was an absolute pleasure to listen to both narrators. Highly recommended and I definitely need to get the rest of the series!
