Dark, Beautiful, Heartbreaking, Sensual
Wow. That did not end entirely as I expected and I'm beyond thankful that I have book three at the ready! My heart is still racing! ❤🏃
True words for certain! And an attitude that can be useful on more than one occasion throughout the book.
There is plenty of heartbreak and betrayal in this installment, some expected, some not. Thankfully, there is even more love and several healthy doses of steam to provide a marvelous balance. There's so much more to this but I'd be here for hours trying to do it justice.
I loved and can't wait for more of Samantha, Oleg, and Henri, with and without the other Kings. Speaking of, I need more of Paolo and Ivan in a bad way and I'm expecting to get more of Alexander and Marielle. Truthfully, all of the primary and secondary characters are so intriguing, I could read them for weeks unending. OK, we can exclude the other Balashovs and Harakians unless it is to see their demise. *claps hands together once and rubs them rapidly with a look of delight and mischief*

Review of Dear Samantha- 3/9/22:
As this short isn't available on GR or even publicly at the moment, I wanted to take a minute to write my thoughts on this poignant letter from Paolo to Sam. Like the artist that he is, he poors himself into the words and just tears my heart out. It is roughly a fifteen minute listen but has so much soul and depth. The part about his dream and Ivan is divine. Steven Ridgewood did a great job narrating.

As we left Samantha, Oleg and the rest of the Doms of Club Duval, we were entrenched in a scene where the Queen was holding court in the Throne Room. What happens after that starts the beginning of the end to life as they all knew it. No spoilers here. Just suffice it to say that everyone’s lives, outlooks and perspective changes. Oleg finds out things that he never thought he would. Samantha finds out that love can go beyond one being. Henri finds the one person that quells the inner beast. None of them are happy without the other in their life. There lies the conundrum. How can Oleg be her Master when her heart belongs to two people? Samantha is confident that they will find a way to all be together.
When all hell breaks loose, the brothers unite. All is not lost. It’s just the beginning of the end for those people who looked to take away all the Oleg held dear to him.
I’m not getting into this story too much. You have to read it to understand why things happened the way they did and to whom. To understand just how they all got their happily-ever-after’s. What a cliffhanger!!!!

This was my first Alyssa Turner read. It’s the second book in the Unmatched Series and it can be read separately, but it is beneficial to read both instalments! I couldn’t put this book down; I read it in one go. There’s a bit of a mystery going on; the characters are looking for answers. My favorite Samantha moment was when she said something like dude, I got my own money – I loved that part HAHA. It was definitely a fast-paced intriguing read with Oleg’s enigmatic ways and secrets! On a different level, we have the BDSM aspect of the novel. And. That. Is. Very. Steamy. LOL. BDSM stans will love this!
In the end, there is a shocking cliffhanger that will leave you wanting more.

SO AMAZINGLY Hot!!
Alyssa Turner has done it again! I didn't think it was possible to love a book more than Unmeasured, and then she released Unleashed! I feel such angst over the relationships between Samantha and the 4 men...it's so realistically written. And don't get me started on the almost too hot to handle sex!

Following right after book one, Unleashed I thought would be one of the other five kings. I was WRONG! Instead, it continues the complex relationship between Oleg and Sam. This book is a wild ride punctuated with a few intense BDSM scenes. I liked it. At the same time, I kept feeling dread as Sam is still in the dark about Oleg's family and what he is involved in. This book contains it all: sex, love, betrayal, loyalty, and death.

This author’s narrative writing style is so absorbing. I was totally reeled-in by Book #1’s account of Samantha and her own uniqueness. I found that reading Unleashed, the 2nd book in the Unmatched Series, was just as engaging. In this installment, the author reveals more about the wealthy “brothers” who own and rule the exclusive Club Duval, and about how their relationships with Samantha are growing just as levels of tension, violence and betrayal from outside sources are growing.
The five men of Club Duval refer to themselves as kings, but in the reality of their world, they are five broken princes. We learn much more about Henri in Book #2. A lot of it is not pretty. I found myself shedding tears for him, but initially I felt a bit leery, a little fearful of him as well, after a surprising decision he came to regarding Vincent, his biological brother. Similarly, Ivan’s dark youthful troubles are recounted. The mens’ stories sadden and even horrify. How they managed to remain human and (for the most part) humane is testament to their inner strengths, but it’s plain they still need healing. Is their devotion to kink revealing in this light? Is this the only way they can experience intimacy? These vignettes inspired gut-wrenching feelings when read. The in-depth development of Turner’s characters grabbed me and just wouldn’t let go. Her ability to reveal flaws and imperfections in human characters, and still keep readers in love with those characters is awesome.
Unleashed was not only a visceral experience, but a very cerebral one as well. Many of the scenes in the book do evoke intensely physical feelings; in particular, the many sizzling hot scenes the author excels at penning. But Turner further enhances the reading experience by exploring the conscious thoughts and intellectual attitudes each character holds about what they are doing and why they want it that way. The reaction Oleg has to the wayward “submission” of his Lionceau, Samantha, allows us to see how thoroughly he is enchanted by her, as he also tries to understand why he—a Master, a Dom—has been mastered by his own enchantment. Or when Oleg tries to justify to himself his “business involvement” with criminals. Is it reality or has he skewed things in his head just enough that it’s easy believe he is not himself a criminal? To keep the tension full-on, a number of twists in Book #2 put various characters at risk for their lives and keep the reader gasping. Like the first book, I could hardly put this one down. I am eagerly awaiting Turner’s next installment, Book #3 - Uncontested!

Their tone, pacing, pitch, and timing was flawless. This full cast narration did a great job portraying each character, giving them each their own voice and personality. They expertly projected their emotions, making for an immersive, unique and entertaining listening experience. I highly recommend the audio version of this series!

I was supposed to read this as an ARC for the author, but I couldn't remember enough about the first one, so I read that first. I'm glad I didn't commit to reading this as an ARC because it took me *forever* to get through. And not because it's a bad story. Something about this "quarantine" has significantly slowed down my reading. I pick up a story, my mind wanders, so I put it back down.
Anyway, this one furthers the story started in the first one, except with a twist. Oleg sends Samantha to the states with Henri who is going there to help his niece. He's sending her away to keep her safe and away from him as he continues to work to legitimize what he does. Oleg has forbidden Henri and Samantha from having sex, but they find a different way to get closer. When Oleg arrives to basically reclaim Samantha, he can see that things have changed, and he doesn't like it. After a while, he acknowledges that Samantha can love both him and Henri, so they become a threesome. And then Samantha's mom steps in to try to "save" her. ~eye roll~
Another cliffy at the end. Oh, and it turns out the other two Doms, Ivan and Paolo, might have a thing for each other though one of them is fighting it hard... will have to see what happens in the next one.

I loved it!
Omgoodness! Things have certainly been ‘Unleashed’ in more ways than one and now Oleg has unwittingly put them all in danger. The suspense and intrigue continues with more kink, more heat and more exciting twists and turns in this deliciously hot romance. I can’t wait for more!

Omg, this is so getting good. I’m so glad that I have the audiobook and kindle book. This series is so hot . I absolutely love how Alyssa has put this series into relation with Swept ( must read series). Yes, to finally getting to know more about Henri. I love that is so mysterious, but he is very sensitive too. I love how Samantha allows for him to show his true self without pity or judgement. I also, love that Henri is finally able to let go of the life that was loss so innocently. What more intriguing is his brother’s family I’m just glad he was able to finally deliver judgement and is able to keep his niece safe. Mostly though I truly love the relationship between Henri and Oleg. Now also includes Samantha binding them all together into a new relationship. After the cliffhanger in the previous book, go immediately to this one.
It seems to me a human account of relationships outside the norm, the difficulty to understand feelings and learn to respect different ways of loving.
I like it because it manages to blur the lines of good and bad. We only see humans at work and trying to be as faithful to their convictions.
I can't wait for Ivan and Paolo.

I just completed this second book and as I mention for the first book review ,

I have patiently (ok…not so patiently) waiting for the next book in the Unmatched series. This book was everything and so much more than I was hoping for. Alyssa Turner didn’t disappoint us. The book was filled with love, angst, steamy scenes, intrigue, betrayal, loyalty, devotion and a new love twist that I didn’t see coming. It was absolutely delicious! The story line continues right where the last book ended. This isn’t the only drama that Turner has planned for us. The book is filled with so much more, but I don’t want to ruin it for the readers.
Book 1 allowed us to enter this world. Book 2 gave us a deeper insight into Oleg, Henri and Samantha. We get to learn a bit more about the ways in which these characters love, are devoted and how they each struggle to find peace, happiness and the love that they are missing. The character development is rich and insightful. It is rare to see an author take on so many and such complex characters in one story. Usually there is a main focus, but we are treated to three and a hint of Paolo, Ivan and Alexander. I can hardly wait to see what she has devised for them.
The plot is so complex with so many moving pieces as you would expect from a story surrounding so many characters. Turner kept me guessing the entire book. This was a rare treat as I am an avid reader and can usually get a sense for were the book is heading. Not with this series. Everything I thought would happen didn’t. Instead, I enjoyed a book full of unforeseen twists and turns and all the emotions. I simply cannot say enough about the series. Treat yourself and indulge in this wonderful world that Alyssa Turner has created.

We get to learn a bit more about the ways in which these characters love, are devoted and how they each struggle to find peace, happiness and the love that they are missing. The character development is rich and insightful. It is rare to see an author take on so many and such complex characters in one story. Usually there is a main focus, but we are treated to three and a hint of Paolo, Ivan and Alexander. I can hardly wait to see what she has devised for them.
The plot is so complex with so many moving pieces as you would expect from a story surrounding so many characters. Turner kept me guessing the entire book. This was a rare treat as I am an avid reader and can usually get a sense for were the book is heading. Not with this series. Everything I thought would happen didn’t. Instead, I enjoyed a book full of unforeseen twists and turns and all the emotions. I simply cannot say enough about the series. Treat yourself and indulge in this wonderful world that Alyssa Turner has created.

This is the second book in the Unmatched duet and you really SHOULD read book one, Unmeasured, first. I enjoyed that book more than this one.
I read a lot, you know? And I particularly enjoy the more harder core BDSM books that are out there. So I was expecting to enjoy this one too, but, while a good read, I did not enjoy this one as much as book one. Why?? I've no idea, at all!
Samantha, Oleg and Henri all have their say, except for a little bit for Paolo at the end.
The three of them get their happy ever after, of sorts. The thing with Oleg's family bites him hard in the ass, and it took him getting shot for him to realise that it wasn't just Samantha that needed Henri, he did too.
I actualy found myself skipping over the scenes! Me! She who will always say she prefers her books on the more sexy side! They just didn't work well for me, and I can't pinpoint why, and I bloody hate that!
Still, glad that Samantha, Oleg and Henri get their act together! Just need Ivan and Paolo to get their act together and for Alexander and his love to be reunited. Will I read those stories? I will certainly read Ivan and Paolo getting in on!

The narration is still great. I am so addicted to this story and characters that I would be willing to work later hours just so that I have reason to listen longer! With this RH having a really good storyline that is unrelated to the sexual part of their relationships, is so amazing! I am HERE for all of it!!!

This is for mature audiences only and really should be read after reading Unmeasured. This book mainly centers around Samantha, Oleg and Henri and their respective families. In Unmeasured, Samantha is introduced into the BDSM lifestyle and is mainly claimed by Oleg. In Unleashed, Oleg sends Samantha to Canada with Henri in an attempt to protect her from his enemies, however this action draws Samantha closer to Henri and she begins to feel torn. Oleg then takes her from Canada to her parents in upstate New York while he goes to live in Brooklyn and set up his new business ventures. In trying to protect her, Oleg may inadvertently be alienating her. When Samantha's brother returns home, she figures out that he is part of a threesome and it gets her to thinking. Then tragedy strikes in more ways than just one and boundaries get redefined. Will all the relationships survive? Can a person really love and be devoted to more than one person? Why is it so hard to admit the truth of one's feelings and actions?
I enjoyed this book as much as I did the first one and I am looking forward to reading more when the third one comes out.

This book has been a difficult read. There's lot of characters to keep track of, with lots of psychological mind games between the players, lots of rules about who can love who or have sex with whom watching and who can have free corsets! Because of the twists and turns I found that I'd lose the story and then lose interest and put the book down more often than I would have liked. Sometimes I felt like I had to reread the same page over and over to understand bits, which is something I don't like in a book.
The play and sex scenes were not as frequent as I expected but were well written.
Having said that I do feel like I would tackle the next book because I hate to leave a story unfinished.
This book was hard work but you should read it to make you own decision xx

This one is for mature audiences only! If BDSM, menage, or reverse harem are in your list of kinks, then the Unmatched series is going to be right up your alley! We re-join Oleg, Henri and Samantha, and we are taken to on a hot, steamy, SEXY journey. In this type of book, we don't always get great character development, but Alyssa Turner leaves nothing out. These lovers are so complex and nuanced, and every page leaves you wanting to know what is going to happen next. This is the kind of story that takes you to very unexpected places, and it is hard to tell you much without giving away any spoilers! Check out this 2nd book in the Unmatched series, part of the Love Has No Regrets Collections, which also includes the Polished series and Make Me. Be prepared for graphic, intense scenes! You aren't going to want to put this one down!

I enjoyed this book much more than the first - only because I listened to the first as an audiobook and wasn’t overwhelmed by the narration. The continuation of Samantha’s foray into a polyamorous/BDSM relationship continues to get more and more intriguing and emotional.
Oleg’s “family business” is getting closer to his personal relationships as well, which is not what he wants to happen at all. It just seems to be one thing after another keeping Sam from just enjoying time with the guys.
All the characters are unique and very interesting and have been developed well. I don’t know if there will be more books in this series, but if this is a true RH book, there are two more guys for Sam to develop real relationships with. I’m hoping there are, because this one ended with lots of unanswered questions.

She quickly realizes that, if he will let her, Samantha can help Henri heal from the wounds he has carried for years. What she didn't count on were her growing feelings for her Dom's best friend. She her feelings for Henri, or if there is any possibility that Oleg would be willing to share her love with the other man.
Fascinating, sexy, unique and well written characters that drew me into their world. Violence, a little action, BDSM and surprising twists in the plot made it difficult to put this book down. Fantastic!

Unleashed picks up shortly after the epilogue of book 1. The chaos was not an accident. The question is who caused it? Was it the family Oleg turned down?
I enjoyed spending more time with Oleg, Samantha and Henri. Their characters open up as they deal with demons lurking under the surface. They are making the rules up as they go, but they cross into even more uncertain territory after Henri and Samantha spend extended time together. As motives and feelings swirl, Oleg begins to questions his. I was so proud to see Samantha step into herself and show what she is capable of.
A riveting read that has me ready to dive back in for book 3.

The continuation story of Samantha and her doms. From the first book we were last reading the scene of Samantha to the club with her dom and his brother and friends. He told it them the rules, that he was the only one to punish Samantha. During the scene one of the Dom's is sucking on candy and that gave Samantha an Idea. But little did they all know the candy was laced with something and now he and herself couldn't breathe. They must act fast. good thing one of them is a doctor and performed emergency surgery. 5 people where injured, only 4 survived. Through out the book it was fast paced and with a whole lot of steam. But who is out to harm this group and this club? I have my thoughts. I am eager to hear the 3rd concluding story.

So silly me, I should have read the first book in this series first but you can still follow along without reading unmeasured. There is a lot going on throughout the entire book.
There are quite a few character point of views throughout. There’s the mafia storyline, the bdsm, the couples, the group together, the club & each persons individual life. So you definitely have to pay attention.
I really enjoyed all the storylines. Especially the mafia one. I can’t wait to find out what happens next with that. To say I was shocked by the ending was putting it mildly.

This sequel is on fire. I was so wrapped up in Samantha and her fellas. I cannot decide who is my favorite and lucky for me (and you) we don't have to choose... or do we? This book takes us on a few trips and we get to know Henri a little better too. Where Oleg is dark, Henri is serious. Sam is just the kind of woman who can handle their special brand of torture. Don't worry, Ivan and Paulo are along for the ride too. I truly wish Samantha's designs were real. I would have a closet full of them!

Wow, another great story from Alyssa Turner. This is the second in the series. You get to know even more about these complex characters. Four Doms want her but she only has one Master. Good thing he’s willing to share. There’s lots of heat along with murder, mystery, romance and love. The details are what keep me reading. I didn’t want to put it down. Couldn’t wait for more. Very well written. Will definitely continue to read this author.
