    I loved this book, it was the first book of Nicole's I've had the pleasure of reading. It is well written, a quick read that packs a punch. I devoured this book. A great addition to this collection.

    Sean, Sean, Sean. Sigh. Sean focuses his pain through the one thing that gives him pleasure - sex. Love em', leave em' and on to the next one. Existing but not living, he's made a life for himself despite his upbringing (or lack of one). Living with one regret - Melody.
    Melody lived and learned the hard way that sometimes the most beautiful lies have haunting results. Years after her chance encounter with Sean, he still is under her skin. Despite it all, Melody is a strong character and I think this is why I enjoyed this book so much.

    Forced together on an adventure with mutual friends, the two must face their pasts in order to move forward. The chemistry between all of these characters is amazing and filled me with tension. I adored Adele and how she serves as a catalyst in the story. As always, Nicole brings in some familiar friends from her other books which makes me smile. The story has so much push and pull I felt like I was in the ocean. I enjoyed the story and could not put it down.

    Sean is a tough character to understand. His parents didn’t want him and he carries a lot of hate about how his father left his mother before he was even born which pushes him to lash out and use people to try to strike back at life. He set his sights on Melody for a one-night stand where he would leave her but he didn’t expect the lingering feelings he would have. When he sees Melody again, 6 years later, the feelings are as strong as ever but now she hates him. Is there any chance he can redeem himself with her? Melody was pulled in by Sean’s eyes and his caring soul, something he doesn’t believe he has. When he left her, she was crushed and has built a life to protect herself from that happening again. Life has tossed them back together on a crazy road trip, will they survive? Is there a chance she can forgive him? Or will he continue to hide his true self? Add in some crazy intense friends and I found myself devouring this story needing to know if Sean could redeem himself.
