Madeleine Dauer is a classically trained stage actor, theater artist, and professional film actor. Her theater work focuses primarily on classic texts as well as collaborative, devised pieces that heavily feature movement and puppetry. She has performed in New York City and throughout Connecticut.

Alex Kydd is a Tri-State Area-based actor specializing in contemporary and classical theater. His passion for performing began in his early teens and has progressed into a lifetime motivation. Classically trained, Alex attended The William Esper Studio in New York City, one of The 25 Best Drama Schools in 2015, as recognized by the Hollywood Reporter.

    Wicked Gods is a novel that is packed full of tropes and so will appeal to a number of readers. It is a bully romance that is set in an academy, has elements of suspense and mystery, is developing into a reverse harem and is set in a paranormal world. Reading it like that it sounds chaotic and like it should be too much but Michelle Hercules manages to weave all these threads together to make Wicked Gods a fantastic read.

    Set against the backdrop of a world divided into Idols (those with powers) and Norm (those without) Wicked Gods explores the concept of power corrupting those who hold it and the struggle of the oppressed. Daisy, a Norm, is shaped by her past to hate the Idols. Bryce, Rufio, Mopheus and Phoenix are likewise moulded by their upbringing to display contempt towards Norms. This leads to the crux of the story as their worlds continue to collide. I liked the depth that Michelle Hercules gave these characters, that their flaws were not obvious or stereotypical of the genre. This is a slow burn and while a reverse harem is promised it has yet to result.

    The plot of Wicked Gods is intriguing with many elements still unresolved by the final page. The motivation of some major players are murky and make you want to pick up the next book straight away so it is a good thing the series is already complete.

    Wicked Gods is a great start to an intriguing new series and would recommend it for readers of paranormal/fantasy, bully romance, academy, reverse harem, gods and magic.

    This is my first time reading a book from this author and to say I'm impressed is an understatement.
    The characters are well developed and the world building is spot-on. The unfolding storyline moves along nicely with just enough sprinkles of background to add depth.
    I quickly found myself enjoying getting to know these characters, especially Daisy, brave gutsy Daisy.
    I'm also developing a soft spot for Bryce and Morpheus.

    I was recommended this book by an author friend of mine. To begin with it took me a bit to warm to the storyline, but the further I got into the book the more drawn into it I got. There is serious bully in this series, so unless that’s your jam you might not enjoy it. But if you do enjoy bully romance then you’re in for a treat.     There were a few typos, but that’s no big deal at all, what I LOVED was the story. Such a good plot idea and the author did an amazing job writing it. I loved the characters and their individual stories and growth.

    This is my very 1st paranormal series and to be honest I wasn't 100% sure if it was going to be my thing but my word was I wrong!!

    This full book was amazing from the very 1st page till that last scene there was not a single chapter that didn't have you gripped needing to know what was going to happen next.

    Can I just say that I think Daisy is an absolute legend, I love her and the way she carries herself because given what she has been through she hasn't gave up and always done what's best for her sister Rosie even when everything seemed to be against her.

    I absolutely can't wait to see what happens next I am 100% hooked.

    Definitely recommend you give this book a go, Michelle Hercules is an outstanding author her style of writing keeps you fully invested start to finish.

    This is a paranormal monster meets science experiment romance series. Lauren has brought her own romantic twist to the classic Jekyll and Hyde story.

    Our main characters Mitchell and Eden both have an alter ego that once out they have no control over. Mitchell has lived his whole life knowing about his other self and working to keep him locked up. Eden however, thinks she’s sleep walking and has no clue what’s going on, her other side leading her to Mitchell over and over again. Eden’s got a lot more going on then just her alter ego, like the reason she’s only now showing up and what triggered it. Or better yet what stopped it from happening before.

    This series was a really fun read and I enjoyed the mystery and dynamic characters. It's well written in the third person, however that’s not really a style I enjoy. The story flowed really well and I liked the pace of the conflict. However the ending felt rushed, as though there were too many loose ends the author hadn’t yet addressed and had to wrap up and did so with a few small phrases at the end.
