    Book 1 in the new Arcane Society series by Betty Legend. I am not a big fan of paranormal romance, but this book was awesome. There are only a few authors that I will read that do paranormal and Betty is one of those authors. I know that when I pick up her books, I will be sent to another world that will suck me and make me want more. This story did just that. Loved Anya and Dex. She is a hunter and he is the hunted but when they meet, those titles fall away. The chemistry and attraction that Betty created for these characters is awesome. Felt like I was feeling everything that they were feeling. Loved this book and can’t wait for the rest of series.

    This is my first read by this author and I was really impressed! The book was action-packed and I could not wait to see what was going to happen next! Anya is everything I like in my leading ladies, she is strong, smart, and totally kick-@ss. She definitely finds out some world changing things during this book, especially when she meets Dex. Dex, a demon that is actually pretty darn freaking awesome!

    All in all there are some crazy things happening in the book, but throw in some awesome steam and great world building, it makes this a great paranormal romance book! I give it 4 outta 5 stars and definitely enjoyed it!

    This is one deeply addictive world that PNR Author Betty Legend has created and I read it in one hit. Fast moving and sensual, it is also twisted and unexpected. This book is a prime example of why I love PNR’s and specifically, Ms Legend’s writing so much.

    Her written descriptions perfectly played out like a movie in my head and I could literally see and feel the stunned intensity and the chemistry between Anya and Dex. Demon Hunter and Incubus, even as they didn’t recognise the truth behind each other’s true selves at that moment. But, there was no denying their attraction, or the speed and heat of what happened next 💣💥🔥

    Anya is one strong and beautifully written bad-@r$e. She’s loyal to a fault, has an awesome human best friend in Jackson, and unquestionably accepted the responsibility of who she was born, and trained to be. Until she noticed the calibre of those she was ordered to hunt and eliminate. Until she started to question the quality of her life. And most of all, until she met Dex.

    He was the perfect match for her, until they realised that they should be deadly enemies. He was a complete alpha who had struggled to maintain relationships because of who he was a base level. Like most demons, he wanted to live a normal life and hated the innate sense of character that was his breed, and meeting Anya was the breath of fresh air on a new start that would’ve been perfect in another life.
    When Anya does her first denial of orders, a Shadow Walker comes calling and she was on her own before she turned to the one still struggling with the truth of who she is. Betrayal and lies made the story unputdownable, and I absolutely loved the way the plot was written.

    Whoa, believe me when I say that this was an addictive read that I couldn’t put down, and I can’t stress enough about how highly I recommend this book to all PNR readers who love the baddest and strongest females, or the toughest men with hearts loving enough to handle them – and own it 💣💥🔥

    I really enjoyed this book and am very excited to read more of this series. The story is action-packed and thrilling. The characters are intriguing and likable. The chemistry sizzles between Anya and Dex as their desire is steamy. The tension, drama and suspense are ample and when paired with the raw emotions, it helps create a juicy and consuming PNR that I could not resist. This is my frank, freely posted review.

    I loved Dark Legacy. It was an interesting world Betty Legend has built. I liked both characters, loved their chemistry. There was some tension and self doubt but fortunately Anya found out what she wanted pretty fast without too much drama and that is what I absolutely love in Betty's writing. It's never overdone. I can't wait to find out how the adventure continues.
