The Bride's Runaway Billionaire (Three BFFs and a Wedding Book 3) Kindle Edition
A solo honeymoon in Fiji to recover from the viral wedding disaster that almost had me married to the wrong man? Yes, please.
Tripping over my number one celebrity crush, who is hungover and asleep on my bungalow porch? Not exactly in the plans, but I can roll with it.
Turns out Jonas Rutherford, Razzle Dazzle movie star and heir to the entertainment conglomerate’s billions, is hiding here too after details of his scandalous divorce went public.
I didn’t think inviting him in for a hangover cure would lead to us getting friendly. And friendlier. And then—okay, yes.
I slept with him. Who can blame a girl? When you’re suddenly single and the number one guy on your freebie list is available, you leap.
But when I wake up the next morning, I discover I’m not the only runaway.
He’s ghosted me.
It’s fine. I’m fine. Neither one of us is in a position to start an actual relationship.
But three years later?
When he crashes my brother’s wedding?
Where the son that he’s just discovered we have is serving as ring bearer?
Life was a lot easier when I was just a runaway bride.
The Bride’s Runaway Billionaire is a deliciously juicy and utterly swoony romcom featuring a jaded optimist who’s had enough of the limelight, a happy-go-lucky celebrity whose world has been upside down since that fling after his divorce, the most adorable two-year-old on the planet, and a chicken with an attitude. While this book stands alone, it takes on new depth when you read The Worst Wedding Date, The Gossip and the Grump, and The Last Eligible Billionaire first.

About the author

Pippa Grant wanted to write books, so she did.
Before she became a USA Today and #1 Amazon bestselling romantic comedy author, she was a young military spouse who got into writing as self-therapy. That happened around the time she discovered reading romance novels, and the two eventually merged into a career. Today, she has more than 30 knee-slapping Pippa Grant titles and nine published under the name Jamie Farrell.
When she’s not writing romantic comedies, she’s fumbling through being a mom, wife, and mountain woman, and sometimes tries to find hobbies. Her crowning achievement? Having impeccable timing for telling stories that will make people snort beverages out of their noses. Consider yourself warned.

- Reviewed in Australia on 24 July 2024Verified PurchaseEmma who left her dastardly fiancee at the altar after finding out his monstrous deeds.
She goes to her honeymoon in Fiji alone.
Jonas the movie heart throb multi billionaire who goes to Fiji to hide from the onslaught of reporters after they learn of his hidden divorce.
Accidentally meeting, they spend days together, becoming friends, trying to heal each other.
After spending a special steamy night together for the first time, she wakes in the morning & he's gone, no where to be found, she learns he's left the island without a word to her. She is desolated that another man has hurt her...... I highly recommend this romance and the laughs that come with it.
- Reviewed in Australia on 2 February 2024Verified PurchaseAnother good Pippa Grant book.
Plenty of angst and plenty of humour as a famous actor and a small town girl who hates being in the public eye, try to conduct a relationship. My only criticism is that no one seems to be able to title any book lately without the word billionaire in it.
- Reviewed in Australia on 22 February 2024Verified PurchaseI’d been waiting for this book to find out what Emma’s story would be. Especially given the way book 2 ended.
I loved Jonas. He was so down to earth and normal despite his fame, and watching him gradually coming to know his son and reconnect with Emma was enjoyable. I love Emma’s friends and family and how protective they are of her. I enjoyed Hayes and Begonia coming into the book and eventually the whole family on their side. This was classic Pippa Grant with the humour and chaos and the animals, which stole the show at times. It’s been the cats, dogs and now chickens, but they added that element of fun to it all. Especially Yoko Ono who was particularly opinionated, but well loved.
I really enjoyed the book and was pleased for Emma to finally get her happily ever after. She deserved it after that horrid ex of hers.
Plenty of laughs. Lots of emotion and animals that all played their parts in the books too.
- Reviewed in Australia on 22 September 2024Verified PurchaseThere were somethings I liked about this book and I think it was okay as far as a series conclusion goes. But I have to say there were somethings that also really annoyed me. The main one being the toddler speak. Oh. My. God. It was slightly funny the first time, maybe even the second? But after that it just became annoying nd exhausting trying to translate it, what kind of lisp is that anyway?? The kind that changes every single word to sound like something dirty or inappropriate? And then to have characters immediately correcting what the kid was saying, ugh it was just very unpleasant and had me rolling my eyes. I liked the other characters, the town and the previous books in this series however. If you can get past the toddler speak (there is A LOT), it's not a bad book, I mean I didn't really get the MCs special connection, it felt a bit to fleeting and more like just friends, but otherwise it was okay. Happy reading!
- Reviewed in Australia on 27 January 2024Verified PurchasePippa Grant managed to take a trope that I truly dislike - surprise baby - and manage to win me over because this was just written so well. Normally I don't understand how in this day and age that you can't find someone to tell them you are pregnant - but with Jonas being famous and there being no personal way for Emma to contact him - it just worked.
I loved that Jonas was Emma's beau - it was great to to see Hayes and Begonia again. Jonas and Emma's son Bash is absolutely adorable and I loved him - he was such a delight on every page. Such a wonderful end to the series - I loved seeing our three BFFs find happily ever afters with men that just suited them.
- Reviewed in Australia on 26 January 2024Verified PurchaseThis is Emma and Jonas’ story. Emma is the bride who didn’t go through with her destination wedding in the first book of this series. Jonas is a movie-star from the girls’ favourite romance-coms.
They meet at a low-point in both of their lives and help each other through the worst of things for a few days. Then he leaves without a word in the middle of the night.
Then, we pick up the story a couple of years later. And that’s where the story really gets going.
With a bonus epilogue from the chicken’s POV, you start to see why this story made me laugh.
- Reviewed in Australia on 20 January 2024Verified PurchaseI have read all of Pippa’s books and this is my new favourite. Emma, Jonas and Bash go together so well, and their friends are great characters, can’t wait to see what you have for us next, I would love to learn more about Zen, they would have a story. Loved this book, definitely worth 5 stars, thanks Pippa.
- Reviewed in Australia on 24 January 2024Verified PurchaseBasically enjoyed this book even though I’m not a fan of celebrity characters. That Jonas would give up being a movie star for small town life is a bit unrealistic. But the main thing that sort of ruined the book for me was the two year old speaking fractured English that was impossible to decipher. Got really tedious. Either don’t have a toddler speak much or do it in a least extreme way. Also not a fan of animals as characters so could have done without the multiple chicken scenes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Emma and Jonas
Verified Purchase*Spoilers within*
I’m once again delighted by the last book in the Three BFF’s and a Wedding series. I don’t know how she keeps doing it but queen Pippa knocks it out of the park again.
The animals just keep getting better and better. Yolko Ono is one of my favourites so far. Her personality is just perfection.
The humour was awesome as usual. The chicken attack in Fiji had me in stitches; I haven’t laughed that hard in a while. Then when Theo and Grey made drunk Jonas tell them his and Emma’s story in Ryan Reynolds’s style I almost cried from laughter. Ryan Reynolds is a Canadian treasure and I love that his uniqueness made an appearance.
Bash is the perfect representation of an almost two year old toddler. His adorable vocabulary and pronunciations were sweet and funny. The additude was spot on.
Emma is so sweet, loving and kind. Her patience with Bash is amazing and inspiring. She’s also a super fierce mama bear.
Jonas is funny, charming, kind and loyal. His love for Emma and Bash is sweet.
They give each other so much love, acceptance and support. They just fit so well.
Another incredible read from Pippa Grant. Full of laughter, shenanigans, animals, love, hope, joy, heat and an HEA.

5.0 out of 5 stars A very funny story
Verified PurchaseA lovely storyline, Emma dumps her ex on their wedding day and the row is video taped which she found embarrassing so ended up spending her honeymoon alone in Fiji and not Hawaii. When walking out of her cabin she trips over a drunken man on her doorstep who she recognises as a famous actor, turns out he also has problems after his wife divorces him and makes the reason public. So they end up both hiding out together, going on outings and ending up sleeping together, but he disappears the next morning. The story jumps then to 3 years later when he crashes her brother’s wedding where he sees his adorable 2 year old son for the first time and a chicken with attitude, both are hilarious. There is lots more to the story a very funny read would definitely recommend this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars A swoony man, a mama bear, a cute little boy, and a chicken equals romcom perfection
Verified PurchasePhew. This story. It’s a heartwarming, hilarious and steamy romance full of lovable and relatable characters that will give you all the swoony swoons while also pulling at your heartstrings with all the emotions. Pippa Grant is one of those authors who writes stories that I just fall head first into and ignore the rest of my life and stay up way too late reading. The characters and worlds she creates are so rich and vibrant that it’s immersive. I am there living the story along with the characters, feeling all the things rather than just reading random letters on a page and observing two dimensional beings. I loved, loved Emma, Jonas, and Bash’s beautiful love story cleverly disguised as a ridiculous romcom. The journey to get to a loving united family was well written and included witty dialogue, three dimensional characters who grow, and an engaging storyline as shown through sweet moments, steamy scenes, snort worthy laughs, supportive friends, messy families, painful pasts, ridiculous pets, and all the heart squeezing love. More than two years ago a video of Emma’s disaster of a wedding went viral and she became the famous runaway bride. She takes her honeymoon solo hiding out in an exclusive resort in Fiji. Jonas is one of the most famous actors in the world. He too is hiding out in Fiji after his divorce becomes public. Emma and Jonas become fast friends and have one steamy night before he disappears. Leaving Emma still hurting from her failed wedding and now pregnant with no easy way to contact Jonas. Fast forward more than two years when Jonas discovers he has a son, Bash, and comes looking for Emma with hat in hand. That’s where the big feels, big laughs, and baggage unpacking comes in. I loved this story and am sorry to see the end of the series and the Snaggletooth gang. I’ll miss them.
