    This one is a bit shorter than the first but it is jammed packed with action, tension, suspense and spice!!! I read this in one sitting and omg I wanted more. Lakyn and Reign are made for one another. Their darkness just matches. They would both give everything for one another.

    After that cliffhanger in Slashers & Secrets i was busting to read this beauty. And boy did A.R Breck deliver!!
    I absolutely loved it. The spice, the suspense had me hanging to know what would happen next. I wish it wasn't over! Madness & Mayhem is book two of the Hillcrest Heights duo. They are a dark romance and the trigger warnings should be taken very seriously.
    Thank you A.R.Breck for another amazing story. I can't wait to see what you have in store for us next.

    I have been anticipating this book from the moment I finished Slashers & Secrets, and I was not disappointed. We finally get answers to the many questions left unanswered in S&S. And the most important one is an answer to who is behind the mask of the Hellcrest Heights Slasher.

    From the start, I was easily able to tell that Lakyn's character was about to change. Seeing her grow and embrace the darkness she had been hiding finally unleash, matching that of the Slasher, was just what she needed to finally understand who she truly was. I loved knowing she would go to any lengths to protect those she cared about, even going as far as getting her own hands dirty.

    I especially loved that even after everything that happened in S&S, Lakyn and her friends were still willing to do anything to protect each other. As well as finally getting answers as to why Reign left Lakyn all those years ago and why the Slasher was intent on making Lakyn and her friends pay for what they did.

    Even if I had already guessed who the Slasher was, the book came with many surprises I was not prepared for. Madness & Mayhem was just the perfect mix of Suspense, craziness, k¡nks, smürder, sp¡ce, blood, and darkness you could ask for. If you're a fan of possessive heroes and Slasher movies, then go read this duet, you won't regret it!

    I absolutely love the two other series from A.R Beck and one of the standalone novels absolutely broke me in the best/worst way, but this ending was lack luster. I feel like maybe it was grasping too much onto a "thirst for blood" when it seemed too forced. There was pointless deaths and confusing situations. I pretty much sped through this one just to get it done.

    If this is your first read from A.R and you are not impressed, don't give up. Still a great author.

    I loved this duet so much, it was full of suspense and had me on the edge of my seat. The story was wild Reign and Lakyn are beautifully psycho together. Make sure you check triggers, as there is descriptive violence and sexual content.

    I can honestly say I knew who "Him" was! For the sake of avoiding spoilers I won't name "him" here. The gang is faced with an incredible challenges throughout book two. Dealing with the fallout they created. Will they all make it alive? I really enjoyed this duet. If you are a fan of slasher movies I think you'll enjoy this!
