Royally Pucked (Copper Valley Thrusters Book 2) Kindle Edition

4.5 out of 5 stars 6,344 ratings

A hockey-playing prince, a most improper lady, and one accidental pregnancy…

When you’re an heir so spare that you’re more likely to be struck by lightning than to ever wear a crown, you’re allowed certain liberties.

But after taking those liberties with the wrong lady, I’ve been banished to America for a year. The world thinks it’s so I can indulge in my favorite pastime on a professional hockey rink, but really, I’m here while my father cleans up my latest mess.

My orders are clear: be an ambassador for my country, make the family proud, and stay far, far away from women.

No one ever said they had to stay away from me though.

Which is exactly how Gracie Diamonte, the world’s greatest baker, most adorable dinosaur-suit wearer, and the very model of kind innocence, sneaks past my defenses.

And my guard.

And how we end up facing a very unexpected pregnancy.

Of course I’ll stand by her while we navigate our newly entwined futures.

Just as soon as I solve that pesky problem of my other royal duties.

Royally Pucked is a hilariously wrong romance between a spare heir and the lady least likely to ever wear a princess crown, complete with dirty cookies, an emotional support monkey, and lots of pucking around. This romantic comedy stands alone with no cheating or cliffhangers and ends happily with a family of…more than two

Pippa Grant wanted to write books, so she did.

Before she became a USA Today and #1 Amazon bestselling romantic comedy author, she was a young military spouse who got into writing as self-therapy. That happened around the time she discovered reading romance novels, and the two eventually merged into a career. Today, she has more than 30 knee-slapping Pippa Grant titles and nine published under the name Jamie Farrell.

When she’s not writing romantic comedies, she’s fumbling through being a mom, wife, and mountain woman, and sometimes tries to find hobbies. Her crowning achievement? Having impeccable timing for telling stories that will make people snort beverages out of their noses. Consider yourself warned.

Pippa Grant has been one of my favourite finds of 2018.
These books are hilarious, yet carry an emotional, touching undertone that I find irresistible.
Gracie is a seemingly uncomplicated woman who oozes sweetness. Scratch the surface and she has a will of pure steel and a drive to succeed. I really appreciated the lack of artifice in her character, she just so genuinely kind and decent.
Contrast her with Manning, a Prince seemingly without purpose. It would be so easy to cast him as an vacuous playboy and he tries to cultivate this image. Scratch his surface and you find a man who just wants to be loved for who, not what, he is.

I loved them as a couple, the love they felt for each other transcends all obstacles.

There's great humor running through the whole book and I laughed at the antics of secondary characters, especially Zeus with his main means of communication, the (in)appropriate Gif! I can't wait for his story, there's an entire ocean of secrets behind his largely nonverbal persona.

I can't recommend this book and author highly enough. Fun reads, with hidden depth.

Pippa Grant is an awesome writer. She brings the characters alive with her words. This story of Manning and Gracie is sweet, funny, and hot with a bit of angst thrown in. The side characters bring a lot of laughter and tears with hilarious banter and fun and games.
Throw in blow up Dinosaurs, lots of Cookies and Loki the emotional support monkey and you have sore a stomach and cheeks with laughing so much.
Absolutely loved this story and absolutely recommend you read it.

Loved this, couldn't put it down but at least this time I wasn't sat on a train surrounded by business men whole trying to stifle my giggles.

I am going to sleep now, there was no stopping me before. I may add more tomorrow.

So here's my actual review ;)

This is part of a series, it's probably best to read in order but not necessary. They're funny, they're naughty they're great, they're also embarrassing to read in public (I read them all on trains) because you sniggering, guffaw, gasp, chuckle and go ping when things get saucy. Well worth it.

This one has royalty, sheep, accidental pregnancy, cookies, hockey players and a monkey.

I love these books. I got them on KU first but have ended up buying them all to keep because they're so funny.

So I love Pippa Grant's writing and all the books of hers I've read so far - but I wasn't sure going into this one. I've never been a big fan of accidental pregnancy.
HOWEVER this worked. An amazing heroine in Gracie who sets out to save the prince - yay strong ladies! Manning also intrigued me from previous books and I loved the depth of his character development.

Add in Berger brothers, mad cap hockey players, profane cookies and an emotional support monkey and you've got a brilliant hilarious and very sweet book!

This is a hockey rom-com must read!! I laugh so hard throughout the entire story. Pippa Grant really has that magical balance of making a book funny, yet still romantic and sexy. I loved everything about this book and this series. So if you’re looking for a sexy hockey rom com with a sweet heroine, a swoon worthy book boyfriend and a cast of supporting characters who are whacky, funny and like your best friends all rolled into one?? Then this book is definitely for you!! Happy reading!!

5.0 out of 5 stars One more great read by Pippa Grant

After The Pilot and The Puck-Up, I wasn’t sure what to expect from Pippa Grant.
Why this book is a so very good surprise. I loved it was so different from the previous story. Of course, all the characters we love are back. This is still a rom-com but in a different way than Joey and Zeus crazy story.
This read is the perfect feel-good book, I smiled and laughed with Gracie and Manning. Even if their road to love is not a smooth and straight one, there is no crazy angst nor ugly breakup. They are enough smart to adult their acts, even trying to protect the other making sometime wrong decisions, there is no shouts nor roarings.
Manning and Gracie are two very touching persons, they have their flaws but they care for the others.
Gracie does not see as princess’ material but she would do anything in the name of love.
Manning tries to fit in his royal duties but he can’t give up Gracie in the name of his country.
They are a perfect match, beyond their chemistry under the sheets, Manning can be himself with Gracie as she expects nothing from him except being loved.
There is a lot of tenderness in this story, less laugh-out-loud moments but many many sweet scenes showing how much everyones care for the others, a great read of acceptance whomever you are.

Pippa Grant has done it again - written a book with a great sense of humour. I loved this book because of the humour in the story. Manning Frey is a Prince and a spare. He is also an ice hockey player and a good one at that. He has also been betrothed since he could walk. Most importantly he falls in love with a girl from a small southern town in the USA. A beautiful, funny story that should be read by one and all.

    Gracie & Manning

Oh. My. Freakin'. Dog!! Get this book NOW! This has got to be the most side-splitting, gut-busting, laugh-so-hard-you-cry, spew-your-drink, my-side-hurts-make-it-stop, hilarious rom-com I’ve ever read! Somehow I found my way to this author's newsletters and that delightful entertainment prompted me to grab the chance to read an advance copy of this book. My only regret is my failure to highlight these laugh-out-loud gems as I read so I could quickly recall them the next time I need a laugh, which simply means a revisit to Gracie and Manning’s story in the near future. After I read the first book, of course, because there's no resisting catching up on Zeus and Joey's story, having had a small taste of them here.

So the basic premise is this: a spare heir to the throne of a small Nordic country wreaks so much havoc his father, the king, sends him to play hockey in the States while the messes get cleaned up in time for him to wed the woman he was betrothed to practically from birth. The naughty prince behaves just a little badly, resulting in an unfortunate future heir by way of Joey's sister, Gracie, a sweet bakery owner from Alabama. Royal mayhem and Southern shenanigans ensue. Throw in a monosyllabic gentle giant of a hockey player/roommate (Aries), a harridan shrew with a traitorous emotional support monkey (Manning's betrothed), and a woman with more attitude and testosterone than hockey players (Joey), then grab your popcorn, sit back and enjoy the show.

Don’t let the above lull you into thinking it’s all fun and games. There’s plenty of heat with the slow burn, off the charts chemistry between Manning and Gracie, but most of all, a ton of heart as Gracie and Manning sort out the mess and find their happily ever after. And did I mention bonus epilogues? They take place between the last chapter and the book's epilogue and are a perfect addition that you won't want to miss, so don’t forget to grab them from the link at the back of the book. In the interest of full disclosure, I’ve already grabbed The Pilot And The Puck Up and read Zeus and Joey's story last night. Trust me, once you get a taste of these characters you're going to want more and more of them! These characters are endlessly entertaining, sweetly endearing, unique, quirky and larger than life. They’ll bulldoze their way into your heart, making themselves right at home, and you’ll love every minute of it!
