Savage Truth: A Dark High School Bully Romance (Hidden Valley Elite Book 2) Kindle Edition

4.4 out of 5 stars 439 ratings

Rejected by a teenage god.
Lies so dangerous our lives are at stake.
A game worth playing.

Cole Savage doesn’t hate anyone as much as he hates me… or the fact that he wants me just as much.

We all have issues, and the less he knows about me, the better. I just have to keep him unbalanced, which is harder than I thought it would be.

Yeah, he wants me.
But I want him just as much.
And that’s a secret I’ll kill over.

Until I overhear Cole saying “she’s not my type.”
Game on, pretty boy.
Because the kiss that seared me to my core told a different story.

Let’s see how tall and proud he walks when I put him in his place—which is hands-off of me.

Savage Truth is an enemies-to-lovers, new adult, dark high school bully romance with plenty of angst, heat, and a HEA. This is the conclusion of Savage lies, and Riley and Cole’s duet. This book contains mature content that some readers may find disturbing.

    4.5 Stars

Savage Truth is the third book in the Hidden Valley Elite series by Isla Vaughn and is the final book in Cole and Riley’s story. It is a New Adult (High School) enemies-to-lovers “bully” romance with plenty of angsty drama, love, hate, jealousy, lies, secrets, family dynamics, sparks, chemistry, and sizzle.
I highly recommend reading the previous two books before starting on this instalment, as not only do the whole story foundations begin there, but we also get lots of other relevant details, character introductions, backstories, and other important information which you really should know prior to diving into Savage Truth in order to help you better understand and appreciate this book, as well as the series as a whole.
As we discovered in the first two books- The ‘Elites’ are the top of the food chain at Hidden Valley Elite high school. They are brothers Cole and Damon and their cousins, twin brothers Phoenix and Shane. They are the football stars of the school and rule the school and social circles. But things get a bit of a shake-up when Riley moves to town. One kiss ignites a flame that won’t be extinguished. But there are things happening in the background that neither Riley or Cole could have anticipated- making things even more complicated, fueling the fire between them. The circumstances tested everyone involved (yes, I know I’m being a bit vague here, but that’s because there’ll be no spoilers from me). Riley and Cole have taken us on quite a ride- as their story isn’t a ‘light and fluffy’ read, and at times the darker moments seem overwhelming and hopeless….. but amongst the bad-behaviour, angst, drama, chemistry, sparks, and clashes, there was also lots of emotion, as well as some lighter, heart-warming, and touching scenes. And let’s not forget all the sizzling encounters that steams up the pages. But Isla Vaughn didn’t make it easy for them, she really made them ‘work’ for their happiness- and I think the end result is fantastic….and in my opinion, the best book of the series, so far.
Each of the elites are set to get their own book/s as well, making for a longer series to sink our teeth into.
So, I am heading on to Book #3- Brutal Days, the start of Damon and Skylar’s story….
    Happy Reading…

    Thank you, Isla Vaughn!

This is the conclusion of Riley and Cole’s story. What a roller coaster this has been. From the novella, Savage Start and throughout Book 1 Savage Lies, I knew this was going to be amazing. Cole is a o force to be reckoned with, but Riley has a strength that can withstand so much. Together there are sparks and chemistry. From enemies to lovers these two play a deadly game. I highly recommend this series (start from the novella!) and can’t wait to continue on with Brutal Days.

The story of Riley and Cole. When Riley and her mother move into Cole and Damon's home its fair game. Cole will do anything he can to get rid of Riley and her mother the one who ruined their lives. If looks could kill or smolder with lust Cole and Riley would win the biggest prize out there. They can't keep their eyes off one another yet, they love to hate one another. Riley has her own set of issues which keeps her from getting close to anyone, and now they are under one roof as their parents are getting married. However, Riley has a dark secret one that Cole will do everything in his power to uncover but at what cost. A great read.

I liked the second book a little bit more than the first book, only because there was less repeated information. Don't get me wrong there was still repeated information, but not as often.
