    We get Spike's story this time and am I glad.

    We have been told in the previous books that Spike is the broken hearted one-nighter of all the boys. Who will fight for his family and under all his female using bravado is a caring friend. We see him in a more personal romantic protective roll that suits him.

    We meet Kas and really find out just how twisted her past and present has been and bleak of a future.
    We previously knew that there would be something between these two and I thought there had been a drunken night after Zach's birthday but instead we get a growing protectiveness and safety between these two that's is great to read.

    They bring out the truth in each other and their real personalities that their pasts can't touch.

    We have a lot more action but the Epilogue could've been better. We don't get a very long one or anything happen; so we don't get to have any engagement that they are both obviously thinking about or any talk about doing something about the future or marriage or kids. But I guess we will see with D seems as though half of the Epilogue is about him.

    Defy You is the third book in the Rebel Ink series. It can be read as a stand-alone but I recommend you read Hate You and Trick You first as it gives you some of Spike and Kas’s backstory. This review contains mild spoilers to the previous books.

    Spike works at Rebel Ink and Kas is the younger sister that Zach recently found out about. Kas has had a hard life. She grew up with a drug addict mother who passed away shortly before she found Zach. Kas is fiercely independent and does not want help from anyone. Even though she really needs it!

    Fortunately for her Spike doesn’t care about what she wants- he’s going to help her anyway. After he pulls her off the stage she was stripping on and rescues her from her mother’s dealer, he moves her into Titch’s recently vacated room.

    The chemistry between them is sizzling and even though they both know they shouldn’t go there because of Zach it’s inevitable. Spike is so protective of Kas. He may act tough you can tell that underneath the inked, bad boy, player he’s got a romantic heart. We learn why Spike is they way he his and more details of how Kas grew up.

    This book is super hot from start to finish. D is up next... I wonder who his love interest will be though since Zach doesn’t have any more sisters (that we know about)

    I really enjoyed this book about Spike and Kas. Loved their back story and their strength going through everything that’s thrown at them.
    Well written steamy scenes and some very detailed fight scenes.
    Overall a fantastic book, looking forward to reading D’s story when it’s released in December.

    This is the third book in the series and I think it’s my favourite of all. They are stand-alone but have interconnected characters but I’d highly recommend reading the other two to get to know them all. When Spike met Kas in book one I knew there was something there and when I got my hands on it I was excited to read it and it didn’t disappoint. Kas has always done things on her own never had the love and the support. But when she finds that she has a family apart from the her deceased mother she isn’t use to it. The instant Spike sees Kas at her work which is a stripper establishment the alpha in him goes in autopilot. He might think he is doing it for his best friend who is his boss but we all know that there is an attraction which oozes off the page. The constant push and pull, hot and cold keeps you on your feet while they try to figure out what they have and stop denying what they feel for one another. When Kas is put in a dangerous situation things get out of hand and the alpha in Spike comes out and I just loved how he did everything for her to show her that she isn’t alone. This book was heartbreaking, sweet, funny and steamy. It was such an emotional rollercoaster you didn’t know how to feel but by the end these two really did make you feel whole inside. I cannot wait to read more from this author and hope to read more from this series.

    Defy You is Spike and Kas's story! Kas and Spike have emotional pains that together they can resolve, however, nothing is ever as easy as it seems. There are so many reasons why they should not be together. She is his best friend's little sister, he does not believe in happily ever after, she has no idea about loving someone and the list goes on and on.

    Can the heart keep denying what it needs? Or will they find a way to be together? Tracy Lorraine will grab your attention with the writing, the plot and the excellent characters. The tension between Kas and Spike is beautifully written, you can feel all the angst!!
