My Bad Decisions (On My Own Book 4) Kindle Edition
The first time he kissed me, we kept it a secret.
Tanner and I have been at each other’s throats ever since.
The second time he kissed me, I told myself not to fall.
I should have known something burned beneath the surface and I couldn’t resist him.
The third time led to something more and now one positive test later, neither one of us can walk away.
Only when his past sheds light on every difference we’ve chosen to ignore, we’ll have to fight for each other, or lose everything before we’ve even had a chance.

- Reviewed in Australia on 7 December 2021Although this is book 4 in the set this story can very easily be read as a standalone novel with its own happy ending, and actually makes a great story to lead into Christmas. I loved that Tanner and Natalie come from completely opposite backgrounds, which counts for nothing since they are so drawn to each other. In their own ways, each character was surprising in who they were and how their background shaped them. I loved that even though they had no idea about what would eventually happen they were each doing what they thought best. There were some great twists in this story and it just shows that the family you make is just as important, or more so, than the family you are born into.
- Reviewed in Australia on 6 December 2021Natalie and Tanner’s story explores some very real situations, and deals with issues that are relatable to many. Carrie Ann doesn’t shy away from giving her characters big obstacles, and it was very enjoyable reading how they found their way to the ending that suited them best. It is sad to read the last of the On My Own stories, however I suspect we will get sneaky cameos of our favourite characters in future stories set in the same world.
Full disclosure: I was given an ARC of the book, however this review is my own honest opinion.
- Reviewed in Australia on 6 December 2021I really enjoyed Tanner and Natalie's story. These two seem to be opposites but they fit together like two pieces of a puzzle. Their relationship starts out a little rocky, and includes a major whoops, but they figure it out like adults. I really enjoyed the epilogue where we get to see how the future works for all the housemates and I think they picked the perfect name for their child. A great end to a great series.
- Reviewed in Australia on 9 December 2021This was a really enjoyable addition to the “on my own” series. I loved Natalie and Tanner’s story.
The development of their relationship from friends to lovers was well written and flowed easily. There was enough hot sexy scenes, and drama to keep me turning each page.
- Reviewed in Australia on 27 December 2021Natalie and Tanner bicker with each when they are together. Until when they aren’t.
This was a great read and very enjoyable.
I received a free copy of this book for an voluntary and honest review.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Perfect ending to the series
Verified PurchaseNatalie and Tanner have been sniping at each other for much of the series. It was always funny and never mean spirited. But there was something else lurking beneath the surface.
In this work we get to find out what that was. Yeah, of course you can figure out it was attraction neither wanted to admit to.
When they finally do give in and go deeper with their attraction ... well, things happen that are definitely not planned.
There are secrets in Tanners past that will have an affect on his future. And Natalie gets an eye opening that will rock her world . Luckily, Tanner and Nat have each other and their friends to help them through the big changes in their lives. Because somestimes the family you make is better than the one you're born into.
If you're a fan of Carrie Ann's you're going to love this work, as usual. If you're not a fan, well, what the heck are you waiting for?
While this is absolutely a stand alone novel, I would really recommend reading the other books in the series first for a fuller experience and understanding of the timeline. It's not a requirement for this book, but is a strong recommendation from me.
As usual, Carrie Ann Ryan has developed characters that we can all identify with, either from being them or knowing them in our own lives. They're lovable, annoying, hilarious, broken, flawed, and perfect all wrapped into one. Something all of us can identify with.
Pick up this work and I can promise you, you'll walk away with a very happy heart and a big smile on youre face.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome ending to the series
Verified PurchaseI've loved reading the stories of eight college roommates, four boys and four girls, and how their lives intertwined until they became a true family. Tanner and Natalie's story makes the perfect ending. He comes from a poor background and she's from a rich family. He doesn't feel like he's good enough for her and she sees only the good man that he is. They're attracted to each other but Tanner fights the pull until the day they find themselves alone. They finally give into the passion and ironically a few weeks later they learn Natalie is pregnant. Both are determined to stand together and be good parents but their journey together turns into so much more. I love the characters and the story is excellent.

5.0 out of 5 stars Phenomenal
Verified PurchaseI love the way Carrie Ann Ryan writes. She builds the story around you making you feel like you are a part of everything. Her character development is top notch and not passive, characters just come to life around you. This was a great wrap up to this offshoot of the Montgomery family. This book was a great read, Tanner and Natalie are absolutely amazing both apart and together. And what a phenomenal way to honor a friend lost. Carrie Ann Ryan is on point as always!!

5.0 out of 5 stars My Bad Decision
Verified PurchaseMy Bad Decision is book 4 of the On My Own Series and what an awesome conclusion with Natalie and Tanner. In the other books Natalie and Tanner snipe at each other, are grumpy or ignore each other and we find out why! When they finally come together it’s magical and OMG! The growth they both go through and discoveries revealed made me cheer for them and what a great HEA. If you love Carrie Ann Ryan’s books you definitely need to get this one.
