    If you love dance tv shows and romance books, this is the perfect book! I always love the way KK Allen writes and this was no exception. It would make a great movie too! The main character Lex has come to town with a passion for dance but not a lot of support or confidance in herself. She is chosen for a support act for a big star, and gets to work with her celeb dance crush Theo who is an arrogant choreographer.
    As they get to know each other snd she helps him out with some choreography, sparks fly! But someone is working behind the scenes to sabotage all their hard work.

    This was such a fun and angsty story, I really liked reading about dancing which was something different. Lex is trying to find her way in the dance world and Theo’s been her idol in that industry, so when they hit it off it’s like they were meant for each other.

    Theo and Lex's connection was undeniable, if not predictable. But in some ways that's what I love most about this genre. Boy + girl x angst ÷ a pinch of tragedy = romances with the best endings.

    Yes we can guess the bad guys, yes we can guess what the ending might be but ultimately, that's what we're looking for right? Light, warm, sexy, and an ending we all wish for our own lives. We don't pick up a contemporary romance for it's reality on life, it's romantic filter blocks out the real life we're all trying to escape. This book is perfect for that. The dances are an added bonus and really adds to the feeling.

    So if you're looking for something that's gonna make you smile, then jump in, the waters warm and the story is worth it.

    This book honestly gave me all the feels. It was beautifully written and so damn swoony.

    Lex and Theo are everything. At first I was a bit iffy about Theo but it only took a couple of chapters for me to fall in love with him. The chemistry between these two was out of this world. They hooked me from the very start and had to keep reading to know all the things.

    It was emotional, beautiful, angsty and so steamy on and off the dance floor between these two. Not only did I love them but I LOVED some of the side characters. I seriously need a friend like Shane.

    Couldn't get enough of this book and I really loved the links to the dance videos on YouTube we get throughout it made it so much more and added to this already amazing story. I'm obsessed with watching the choreograph videos myself so it was a great bonus.

    Lex and Theo's story is an emotional roller coaster. I was hooked from the beginning. My feelings were all over the place with this one. Wanting to hug the characters and then smack them upside the head. Wow! My first read about dancers and have to say I really enjoyed it.

    It has taken me a bit to actually calm my mind to even come up with words with how much I love and adore this book. There is just something about K.K. Allen’s words that wrap you up and just get lost in them like you are living them. Lex’s character. She is young and flawed in a heartbreaking way. But she is also a fighter. I love how she gives as good as she gets and pushes Theo. But I adore how these two compliment each other even before they started being together. Their passion for dance matches each other. They flow and meld together like liquid as they move. Their attraction to each other was beautiful. How they fought it but couldn’t deny it anymore regardless of the consequences. When things come to a head and things could be destroyed, they both take a chance on each other no matter what will happen to them. There were some interesting twists that occur that just add to the angst and there were moments I just wanted to yell at the wicked witch of Winter.
    Overall, this is by far one of my top reads of the year. When Allen gives us a story, she gives us her whole heart within it. The one thing that was stunning to me, was the concept of the story. It was unique, heartfelt, angsty, and passionate. Not just the sexual kind of passion but the passion for what you do and what you believe in. The character build of Lex was awe inspiring as she went from timid to a fighter and showing the world what she has. The build of Theo, who has had such a rough time prior to Lex entering his life to discovering that she breathes life into him personally and professionally. If you read one book this year, please make it this one. I have never read anything so beautiful and so original. I needed more. I never wanted it to end.

    It was really fun to see the progress of Lex from swooning for her idol, then seeing him as the a..hole he was at that time to getting to know him better and they both fell in love and were unable to end things even for a short time.
    The rivalry between some of the dancers/choreographers and the strange Celebrity they're working for and with forced them to meet secretly and almost got them both jobless.
    I really like they've got a HEA after all that stress.
